Fandom The Second Pirate Era (One Piece RP)

"Hey i'm not a kid and that stuff doesn't scare me i'll join." She sat in the sand she hated being called a kid. She thought for a min. I could use more training. I wish that nice teacher was here. She glanced at Calvin maybe he could train me he fights with two swords like I do. She turned to him a said "Hey you think you could train me to fight better?"

Calvin opened one of his eyes to look at the girl. "I could, but not now. Once the bodies are burned, I have to go into town and sort out a few things, then rest, then head out tomorrow. Maybe once Lana is done helping Joker, she can train you for a bit. If you want to learn mainly how to use two swords, which I assume you do since I saw your fighting style, then Lana is the girl to talk to. She's the one with dark blonde hair helping Joker, and Joker is the one with white hair and red eyes. I prefer using one sword, though I do use two. I only use two, though, when it's absolutely necessary." He closed his eye again, enjoying the rays of sun on his skin. "Also, I can't train someone I don't know the name of."

"Oh!" Where her manners she was taought better than that. "Very sorry my name is Prin........Alex!" She almost said her title. She started stutter "um yah Alex that's my name." She sat there in shock that she almost just gave her secret away. She wasn't doing a very good job at this. And those dead bodies wee kind of making her more nervous.

Calvin opened one eye and looked at Alex. "Prinalex? Got it. Nice to meet you, Prinalex." He laughed. "That's a strange name, but there have been stranger in this world." He suddenly jumped up, strapping his swords back to his waist. he yawned, and turned to her. "I'm only kidding. I guess until those two are finished working on the ship, I can teach you a few things." He took a few steps back so he was about 15 feet from Alex. "Now, come at me with everything you got. Aim to kill me." He kept his body lax, his arms on hanging by his sides and his gaze lazily kept on her.

"You'll get my lighter when you're dead Calvin... Or when I'm done sawing these boards for this hole in the deck... Whichever comes first..."

She chuckled lightly running her fingers through her hair. She had heard Calvin mention Devil Fruit Users. So far today she had seen two of those. It always surprised her that some people were so easy and open with there Devil Fruit powers. She always tried to hide hers as often as she could. She didn't see a reason for letting people know she was a Devil Fruit user and the Moku Moku no Mi wasn't exactly the most comforting of Devil Fruit types to have. She shook her head, it didn't matter at the moment. Standing she moved to grab a board preparing to size it for the hole.

She stood up with her swords in hand. She breathed in and out. She looked on him focusing on her target. She Aim towards him with every thing she had.

Lana concentrated in the dim light below deck, looking for any type of damage. She walked back and forth among the rough edges of the ship, and boards beneath her feet. About 30 minutes later, she stopped in the middle of the hole updeck, looking up at Kemuri. "I noticed a few smaller damages on some of the boards. Seems like some nails are gone or something. There also seems to be some sort of a leak? Nothing big other than that though. You should probably have a look yourself, to check if I missed something." Lana said while gesturing in the directions she had found the damage, resting her hands on the back of her neck. Her purple headband was now placed on her arm, revealing long, straight, dark-blonde hair in a loose ponytail. She raised one eyebrow."You want some help up there?"

Calvin watched Alex approach him. She seemed to be putting a lot into the first attack, which, if hit, would give her the upper hand. He kept his posture limp, waiting. As Alex ran at him, he started to go over possibilities in his head. When she reached him, he quickly sidestepped out of the way, then, fast as lightening, drew Gabriel and pressed it against her swords, stopping her in her tracks. With a flick of his wrist, he disarmed her, sending her blades flying into the air. He moved his sword to rest against the flesh of her neck. He shook his head. "That would be a useful move if you were in a small space with multiple enemies, preferably ones that were obviously weaker than you. Then you could just push through the force. But, in an open area like this, it gives me perfect ability to move freely and not restricted by my surroundings. Remember that." A dull thump revealed the location of where her swords had fallen, and Calvin put Gabriel back in it's sheath. "Also, knowing how to disarm a single opponent is useful." He scratched the back of his neck, then looked up at Kemuri. "Listen, I just want to use it to burn the bodies. I'll give it right back. What's the worst I could do with it?"

"Oi, fine but if my damn lighter doesn't make it back to me I will lock you in the brig...which I will build..."

Kemuri rummaged in her pocket and grabbed her black and silver lighter. Pulling it out she tossed the lighter off the edge of the ship and down to him. Leaning over to look in to the hole she frowned. If there was a leak she was going to have to fix that right away. She marked the boards off at the place they would need to be sawed. Then slipping forward she dropped down into the hole in the deck, landing lightly on her feet. Rubbing the back of her head she looked around. It seemed she would have a bit of work to do down here. Grabbing her bow she shot two more wired arrows up to the underside of the hole.

"Kay I have to get that leak fixed. Would you mind droping some smaller bits of lumber, my tool bag, and some metal down to me and then cutting the boards I laid out for the hole...."

Calvin caught the lighter easily. He held it in front of him and looked it over. It was pretty cool, the design of it. He tossed it up and caught, then turned to the pirate pile. He kneeled down and flicked open the lighter, a small flame popping on it. He held it close to the clothes of one of the pirates until it ignited, then continued on different spots in the pile. Then he closed it and walked back to the ship, not looking back at the rising flames. It would take a while for the bodies to burn, and the sea would wash away the leftover bones, but it was a simple way of getting rid of them. He walked over the the hole Kemuri was in and dropped the lighter down to her. He smiled. "See what happens when you use explosive arrows?" He chuckled and walked to the bow of the boat, jumping up and sitting cross-legged on the beam that protruded from the front. He yawned. Out of the corner of his eye, he watched the bodies burn, smoke rising from the pile.

As she ran to him he pressed his sword it aganst her swords, stopping her in her tracks. Then sent her blades flying in the air. He then moved his sword to rest against her neck. She stood there frozen not making a move. Then he started talking. He gave her some advice about her attack she did. He then put his sword back in his sheath. "Whoa that was so cool!" She picked up her swords she was about to run to back to Calvin but then she stop when she saw him start the fire to burn the bodies. She could never get use to the site of that she thought to herself. She ran over to Calvin and said "That was really cool you'll have to show me more well not right now but well you know."

Lana laughed heartily at Kemuri's answer for Calvin, and nodded approving. As she saw Kemuri was about to jump down, she took a step to the side, scratching her forehead lazily. "I noticed something that looked like a leak over there. Imma go get your stuff." Lana said, pointing a finger at the beat-up wall next to them. Every few seconds, a new drop of seawater appeared between the boards and ran down the woodwork.

Lana took a few long sprints before leaping up towards the edges of the hole updeck. Grabbing it, she pulled herself up and looked around for Kemuri's bag of tools. Quickly noticing it close to the hole, she grabbed it and simply dropped it down the hole. "Man, I'm starving."

"Yea well... I did say I could fix it... Besides I didn't sink it now did I..."

Kemuri pocketed her lighter again and went to check the leak. It wasn't much but it looked like it had been there for quite some time. She made an annoyed sound as she reached out to gently test the wood. With it running like that it was of no harm to her, but the sea. That was a whole different matter. Like all Devil Fruit users any standing water summarily rejected her presence, meaning if she got in it she would drown, immediately. So patching up a leak that could possibly mean the ship sinking in the middle of the ocean was something that had to be done. The wood around the leak was soft, meaning it would have to be replaced as well. Grabbing an arrow she plunged it clean through the soft wood. She needed to see how far above the water the leak was so she could tell whether they would need to ground the boat to fix it. Before heading back to the upper deck she decided to check the other damaged areas. It was nothing that couldn't be repaired with ease so her main priorities were the leak and hole in the deck. She could make further upgrades to the ship while they were sailing or once they reached the Grand Line, depending on how long they intended to keep the ship. She jumped, grabbing the edge and hefting herself out of the hole.

"Hey Calvin, go in to the water around the ship and see if you see a silver arrow tip sticking out and tell me where..."

Calvin looked at Alex and laughed. "Trust me. It would take years for me to teach you what I can do. Well, not too many years. But sometime we can keep practicing." He looked back at Lana when he heard her comment about food. He stood up and walked over to where they were working. "Maybe we can go stop by the tavern for a bite to eat and something to drink. That fight took a lot out of me." He heard Kemuri's request, and groaned. "Fiiiine." He unstrapped Gabriel and Lucifer from his waist and handed them to Lana. "Hold onto these. And don't draw Lucifer from it's sheath, at all. Got it? Good." He walked to the edge of the ship and pulled off his boots. He then proceeded to jump into the water, and swam under the ship, looking for the silver arrow Kemuri mentioned. He looked, but eventually had to come up for air. As he broke the surface, he gulped in oxygen. He then plunged back down, and looked. He finally found it near the front of the ship, just below the water. He broke the surface and looked up at them from the water. "Front of the ship. Just below the surface."

"Well then how about this... Lana can you get the ship further on to the beach... I'm gonna have to tear out that part of the ship since that leak is old damage and the wood is soft... Then you all can go grab something to eat at the tavern... I'll fix the ship and hopefully it will be done by tomorrow..."

The silver haired female lifted a cigarette to her lips, taking a slow pull. Running a hand through her hair she heaved and exasperated sigh. She wasn't really upset, a fact further proved by the grin that curved her lips moments later. She lived for these sorts of things. The thrill or fixing, building, improving anything and everything. She rolled her sleeves to her shoulders, exposing even more of the intricate tattoo that covered one entire arm. She cracked her knuckles looking forward to all the work she would be doing. If she finished up the basic repairs fast enough she might have some time to make some minor improvements to the ship before they even left out.

"Ohyes, please, that sounds amazing." Lana said with big dreamy eyes as Calvin suggested the tavern. Her mouth watered at the thought of food. She was always hungry, though. When Calvin reached her his swords, she got a puzzled look on her face. Not ever would she let anyone carry her blades, so she simply nodded at his warning about Lucifer. Tempted to ask why, she bit her tongue, deciding to keep it in mind for later as she felt somewhat honored to hold his weapons. Strapping them safely to the right side of her hip. "You sure you don't need help here?" Lana asked as she pulled the anchor up with both hands, surprisingly strong for her features. The ship immediately started drifting in the waves, and she climbed quickly to unwrap a small part of the mainsail to get them moving in the right direction. Jumping down, she simply steered the ship onto the beach with a creaking noise. " I aint gonna be working much longer if I don't get a bite though."

Calvin walked up onto the deck, pulling off his shirt and wringing out all the water. When he put it back on, it was still slightly damp, but not uncomfortable. He looked between all three girls and shrugged. "I'm up for a bite to eat. Let's go back to the tavern." He walked over to Lana and held out his hand. "Swords, please?" She hadn't drawn Lucifer, which was good. If she had, then he would have noticed. He looked over at Kemuri. "Are you sure you don't want to join us at the tavern? We can all share a bottle of sake." He then looked at Alex, and laughed. "Except for you, Alex. I think the stuff I get would be too strong for your tiny self. You'l take a sip and get drunk in a second." He laughed, then turned his attention back to Lana, his hand still outstretched.

"Yea I'll pass... I'm not much of a people person... But working on stuff like this is my bread and butter... I'll be fine yea, just maybe send me something to eat or I might starve myself to death working..."

She chuckled softly grabbing another smaller piece of metal and jumping back down into he hole. She quickly set up another lift using the wires and some small clockwork motors. Setting her toolbag on this along with some extra wood and metal pieces she decided to get to work on the leak. Grabbing the saw she quickly cut out all of the soft wood and began examining the wood around it for weakness. Her eyes got that intense look they always had when she worked. She was in the zone now.

As the ship had safely stopped on the beach, Lana secured the sail and once again dropped the anchor. Sure, they were on dry ground, but if the tide came and the ship wasnt properly secured, who knows where it would end up. As Calvin asked for his swords back Lana grinned wickedly. "Sure, if you buy me a bottle of rum to go." she said with a laugh, unstrapping them from her belt and tossing the two swords back at Calvin and giving her own Claymore it's usual spot back. "Anyways, I'm not gonna sit here and starve when there's a tavern filled with food right around the corner." Lana mumbled as her stomach growled once again. With that, she jumped off the ship and started walking in the direction of the tavern without checking who were coming with.

Calvin caught his swords and strapped them back to his waist. He watched Lana walks off of the ship and back to Foosha Village, then made the move to start following her. He froze then, remembering something. He ran down to the beach to the burning pirates, picking up something and brushing the sand off it. He ran back up on the ship and dropped a hat down to Kemuri. "Feather's hat. Request completed. We'll bring you back something in a couple minutes, unless something comes up. See ya'." He jumped off the ship and started on the path back to Foosha Village, his pace slightly fast so he could catch up to Lana. He wanted to talk to her about traveling, and get her to help him find anyone else who would want to join them.

Lana tested her arms on the hilts of her Claymore swords, fantasizing about all the marvellous food she hoped to order. A dreamy sigh escaped her lips, just as Calvins fast paced footsteps pulled her out of her imagination. Looking over her shoulder, she saw a face with determination written all over it. "Look who decided to come along. Gonna buy me my rum?" Lana grinned and crossed her arms, still walking with her upper body turned towards Calvin.

Calvin caught up to Lana and laughed. He slowed his pace so it was even with hers. "I'll buy you some rum, on one condition." He noticed a flock of birds fly over them, all different color, heading towards the mountain. He forgot the wildlife here was so interesting. "If we're heading to the Grand Line, then we're going to need to set up a chain of command. And, well, the Navy will be coming after us as long as I'm traveling with you guys. So, I'd like to proclaim myself as captain of the ship, and then you as first-mate. You fight well, we seem to work well together, and you can sail a ship, all useful skills. So, accept the position, you get the booze. Whatcha' say?" He clicked Gabriel, wondering if asking her for the position was a smart move or not. He decided it was, and rolled with it. "That means if the Navy catches me, the ship is yours, and so is anybody who goes with us."

Lana tapped her lips with her index finger in deep thought about her options. She had already said yes to sail to the Grand Line, so the Navy would probably be on their heels in no-time. Especially if she left her position as a pirate-hunter/pirate to become a pirate. Rookie crews were hunted down these days. He was right to proclaim himself as captain in her opinion, as he was a born leader. Lana decided to go with it, and see where she'd end up. "I don't mind the Navy, I'll probably bump into them to get to my goal. So it's a deal. As long as I get my rum." she said with a wide grin. She kicked a pebble with the tip of her shoe, still thoughtful. "If any of our crew gets caught by the Navy, we'll get them back. I ain't leaving none from the crew hanging."

Calvin watched the tiny stone skip across the ground. It bounced a few feet, stopping at the edge of the path. "If the Navy grabs anyone, then they'll have Hell to pay." He laid his hand on the handle of Lucifer, the familiar clothed handle comfortable in his palm, worn from years of use. His words had a strange sound of irony in them, and he smiled. "I wonder how high of a bounty I can get by traveling as a pirate. Maybe over 100,000,000 Berri, if I'm lucky. The Hellborn Angel will sail the seas, his infamy growing." He laughed, making the clicking sound with Lucifer. He never used his Navy-given nickname, since it made him feel like trash, but it was growing on him. It fit him pretty well, too. He looked over at Lana. "By the way, I was thinking of stopping by the Conomi Islands next. I heard it was a nice place, so before we start for the Grand Line, we could visit a couple islands here in East Blue."
