Fandom The Second Pirate Era (One Piece RP)

Lana had been sitting in the same, hard spot for three hours straight now. Her back was aching and her eyelids heavy, but she ignored it. So concentrated, she wouldn't notice if an elephant tried to sneak up on her, on the creaky noises coming from the wooden floor all around her. She whispered inaudible words to herself while drawing, using her protractor, compass and a pen. Her hands moved with ease around the sheet she had in front of her, drawing what would seem to be a map, if one had a closer look at it. On top of the map there were letters written. 'Goa Kingdom'. On the eastern side of the map, smaller letters were written beside a village. 'Foosha Village'. Her hands were covered in black ink, but no spots or marks had hit the map besides the markings of the village and the areas of ocean around it, and the kingdom placed in the middle of the island. She had seen it while travelling on the boat to Dawn Island, and made a map inside her head.

Slowly, she managed to finish the map, making it as detailed as she could with the knowledge she had gathered while staying here. It would be useful for later on, both for her navigating skills, but also for common knowledge if she would ever want to go back here. With a satisfied sigh, she sat back in her chair, rubbing her back with one hand and putting her equipment back into her bag with the other. The map would need to dry while she slept for a few hours. She stood up from the wooden chair and left the map where it was. She tossed herself onto the bed and bounced up and down a few times. As she closed her eyes, she immediately drifted from the world of the awake.

Timeskip: Next day, Dawn

Calvin yawned, his eyes cracking open as the faint rays of light filtered through the window and fell upon his face. He groaned, slowly moving into a sitting position. He sat there for a few moments, staring at nothing. Then the memories of the previous day started to flood back to him, bringing the pirates, Burglar, Feather, and all his friends back to the front of his mind. Kemuri should have finished the ship by now, so he didn't want to wait anymore.

He hopped out of bed, quickly lowering himself to the ground. He got on his hands, his legs straight behind him, his body a perfect point. He then proceeded to do push-ups, counting with his breath. Inhale, one, exhale, two, inhale, three, exhale, four, and so on. Once he reached 200, he jumped up and did a couple jumping-jacks, then sit-ups. After his workout, he pulled on his shirt and strapped Lucifer and Gabriel to his waist. He walked out of the room, walking over to Lana's room and banging on it with his fist. "
Up and at 'em! Today's the day, Lana. We're heading out. Meet me downstairs when you're ready. Don't take too long." With that, he jogged downstairs, sitting at the closest table to wait for his first-mate.

Lana moaned loudly as Calvin banged his fists on her door. The light was way too bright in her eyes this early. Annoyed, she sat up in bed. Why was there a guy outside her room? As she came to, she rememberred the events of last night. The pirates and the crew she had joined. She was leaving for the Grand Line today."I'll be down in a minute!" she yelled back at him, rubbing her eyes with the palm of her hands. She swung her feet out of bed, fully dressed as she had fallen asleep in a matter of seconds last night. Walking over to the desk she had been sitting at earlier, she grabbed a hold of the edge of the sheet lying there. "All dry. Perfect." she mumbled in a drowsy tone, rolling it together and stuck it into her duffle-bag with a bunch of other scrolls. She yawned loudly, stretching her arms over her head while walking towards the door. With ease, she pushed it open, grabbed her Claymores on the way out and wandered downstairs.

With narrow, sleepy eyes, she found Calvin sitting downstairs at a nearby table. Once again, she yawned. Too lazy to cover her mouth with her hand, she adjusted the bag hanging over her shoulder, and raised an eyebrow at Calvin. "What are ya sitting here for? Don't we have a boat to catch?" she asked, grinning lazily at him, thinking of Kemuri who hopefully had the ship ready by now.

Calvin yawned, clicking Gabriel impatiently while waiting for Lana. He kicked his feet up onto the table, thinking. If he was going to head to the Grand Line, he'll need to double his effort and strength. Especially if they went into the New World. Though that was far off. His thoughts then went to the deceased Pirate King's crew. The Straw Hat Pirates had certainly been something to fear, as their leader, Monkey D. Luffy, had possessed the power of the Gum-Gum Fruit, and the first-mate, the infamous Roronoa Zoro, had been scarily skilled as a swordsman. He then wondered if the rest of the Pirate King's crew were still alive. Maybe, since Straw Hat Luffy had been the only one he heard about being arrested and executed.

His thoughts were interrupted by Lana's groggy voice, turning his head to where she was standing by the table he was sitting at. He laughed. "I was waiting to see if you would actually wake up. I was just debating on packing up and leaving you here. But, now that you're awake, we can go stop by the ship and check up on Joker."

Lana snorted at his response about leaving her behind, and crossed her arms. "I ain't that sleepy. Besides, you wouldnt dare leaving me behind, I'd hunt your crazy ass down." she answered with a grin, and gestured towards him with her index-finger, almost threatening. She wondered how many maps she would have to draw as they went along the Grand Line, and.. Possibly the New World. New World was a long-shot, but they would definetely get there someday. Or get the choice. The Grand Line was filled with opponents, Devil Fruit-users, powerful enemies and the Navy. The friggin' Navy. Shrugging her thoughts of the New World and Grand Line off, she looked at Calvin."Besides, how would you steer that ship without me?"

Without waiting for an answer, she wandered along the tables and chairs placed around the tavern, towards the exit. "Let's go check on Joker, and see if the others are there yet."

It was exciting. By accepting Calvin's offer, she had just turned down the deals the Navy had given her. Official pirate hunter? Not her thing, but there was money involved. If the group of people hadn't come to this Island while she was here, she would probably be protected by the Navy. That wasn't freedom though, she wanted to go wherever she wanted, whenever she wanted. With this crew, that was less limited. Her choice had been obvious. 'Oh, how the world works wonders.'

Red Fox, otherwise known as Mazda now, was upstairs in his room He had trained early in the morning in the forest, sneaking through the window. He was sipping coffee and was listening to the radio on his Record Player. He was listening to news of pirates and such, weather reports, the usual. He sighed and reached to his side, pulling the needle down on the placed record he listened to last night before bed. He played Moonlight Becomes You by Bing Crosby as he watched the moving ocean from his open window, in a wooden chair. He rubbed his guitar case as he sipped and hummed. He set his coffee down and played with his hair and wore his Ray Bans inside. He had no clue that Lana and Calvin were preparing to disembark or if they even thanked him last night for the meal. He shrugged... but in reality he felt that these events happened on purpose. The Navy let these pirates come in and attack the town, Mazadas place of dwelling burned down, and now these young people were forming crews. He debated if this was what his dreams were of. If his destiny was tied with theirs.

Igneous woke up in a fit of rage and fear he sat up hastily and looked around and slowly regained his sense's "Woah crazy nightmares I can still feel the pain as if it was real" he wipes his eye's trying to rub the visions out of his eye's, he stands up and step's off the boat "I'm not leaving alone it's far to mentally scaring to sleep like this" he walks towards the tavern, for once he actually would prefer a drink right now.

He makes his way into the tavern with tired steps he walks in and heads straight to the bar and orders a drink. "Can I get a drink on the house"

the bartender give him a look that said no but for some reason he gave him a a bottle "Thank you" he grabs the bottle and take a sip causing him grunt, he had no choice but to down it in one gulp he sighs then chugs the bottle and sits it on the counter. He turns around in his chair catching word of leaving and a ship he stands from his chair and approaches the swordsmen guy since he seemed like the superior of the two "Hey you guys leaving for the Grand Line if so Could I join you?" there was no other way of going about it but to ask.

Just as the sun had shown its face Cole finally finished his work,he kept all his stuff together up in the crows nest and with a big yawn he stood up on his feet and stretched his arms up right and leaned back till he heard a pop. Relaxing after he hooked up a net,the one he actually used when he was fishing. Taking his coat off and rolling it up he laid down in the net using his coat as a pillow, he really wanted to get some sleep in before things got too busy around here and he saw this as the perfect time. Easily getting comfy, he was out in no time.

Alex woke up from a nice long sleep. She sat up and yawned. 'Sure was nice of him to let me stay here.' she thought to her self. She got up and made sure she had all of her things. "I wonder if Nick woke up yet?"

Kemuri yawned, rolling on to her other side a she lay on the deck. She had repaired an improved the ship quite a lot last night. Eventually she had tired out and ended up going to sleep on the deck still surrounded by tools. As the first rays of the sun hit her she sat up, yawning as she rubbed her eyes, a plume of thick purplish smoke pluming upwards.

As his mind filled with thoughts of destiny he stared out to the moving the waves through his shades. He then closed his eyes and breathed, his nose filling with fresh sea air and coffee. A familiar smell, a smell that reminded him of his place of origin. The Paloma Republic, a tropical island with main exports being from its crops like sugar cane, coffee, tobacco, marijuana, and fruits. Every morning hed always have a cup like this with his mother while his father usually left early, being a president of the islands and all. "Ahhh." He smiled as good memories, the memories before he was a world class pirate, rushed through his brain. They went no further leaving a gap in his memory for a good number of years. He struggled for a little bit to remember, but alas, gave in to the blunt he just smoked and the ole timey music that played on the record player.

He looked out to the ocean once more and then stood from his rocking chair in his room, traveling along with his coffee mug. He bent over the window sill and saw the ship immediately to his right. He smiled as he saw the smokey young woman rise from her slumber. "Well good morning there ma'am.... it seems youre truly smokin this morning hahaha." He tipped his hat to her as he chuckled a bit then sipped his coffee. He looked at the repair tools around her and nodded in understanding. "I thought I missed someone at our dinner last night.... and here you were... you didnt sleep a peep. Did your captain order to do this?" He asked her in the most polite way possible.
