"What are you to gain from this? Kalai-Pahoa wanted the souls of those I killed with poison as sacrifice."


"All I want in return is the souls of the innocent. The good people who die for nothing. This world is a cruel place and people may meet an untimely end. Use a Holy Wind to lift their souls to paradise. I want you to renounce your Black Assassin name and become a Wind Walker. No killing unless it's necessary."


Ari knew he was done being the Black Assassin when he spared Sandro's life. Too much death plagued the team and Ari contributed at least 700 souls to the Abyss


"What do I gain..........and what do I lose?"


Ari's body had been carried into the church and laid down in a pew


Elaina woke up sometime later in Arabelle's arms. Some of her magic came back. "Hey Arabelle," Elaina said with a tired smile

Your bow, dagger, Black Set, ability to turn into a serpent, your current familiar, the ability to summon poisons and potions to your will, and everything else. I will gift you a new familiar, a new dagger that, when drawn, strengthens your wind by automatically making it bladed, along with the Summon-able arsenal to throw it with."


"You will still have your smoke vial ability. I will gift you with a wind staff to catalyze your magic if you so desire."


Ari thought about the offer. He'd lose his bow, but with stronger magic, he could use it like a bow. He could snipe enemies with daggers.


"My familiar. What will be my new one?"


"A Griffin baby. Raise her well, as she'll function the same way as Lexi."


"....................Alright then," Ari said. It was time to go the path of the Wind. "You have a deal."

Cross looked at Arabelle with a pained expression. He didn't know if the litch was telling the truth or not. "Sorry about my absence. I've been knocked out for a few hours. And after we talk about whats going on I'm heading back to Toron and helping Ciri's army. I'm sorry I can't be with you guys for the final battle."

A bunch of new equipment fell to the floor


Ari summoned all his stuff. His Dagger, his Bow, his Black Poisons. His snakes appeared and laid their heads down on the pile


Ari kneeled beside the snakes and smiled. "It was nice working with each of you. You've served me well." The snakes hissed. They seemed to be happy with their final praise


It all disappeared


Ari picked up his new equipment and his new familiar flew to him and landed on his shoulder. "Hello master," the little griffin said, smiling

Elaina saw his body and tears came to her eyes. She didn't even notice Ceralder's detached head, but heard his voice. "In limbo? But...... he's not breathing. There's no pulse, no magic. His familiar is gone! How do you know he's in limbo?!"


That was one thing Elaina always knew about Ari. If his familiar's magic disappeared, then Ari was dead

What is there some war going on that I'm not aware of?" He started to walk over to Ari's body. "Well if he's in limbo, why don't we rip him out of it?" He glanced at Arabelle. "Well hello there, you must be his little lover. Or are you his daughter...I mean that's a bit weird if that's the case but hey I don't judge." To the lich, he said, "Honestly though what's this about an army?"

Bailey woke up, and streched. Figuring that everyone was down stairs, she got up, and walked down stairs. She couldn't find anyone at first, then found them. "So he's back? Well, that was sooner than I expected." She mumbled sleepily.
