Fantasy The Return of Corruption

Sepentireon spotted Ceralder and laughed as he began charging, stooping his heads down low as they opened their mouths. He roared as he charged, aiming to devour Ceralder.
(So should I respond to this or wait for Katherine to catch up?)
Ceralders fire ball glowed a deep indigo, and grew. After a few moments, he threw it, obliterating one of the larger heads. The fire spread across Sepentireon, but would only bring excruciating pain, and wouldn't actually be able to kill the beast. After doing this, he would grab as many books as possible from the shelves, and run out the door

@DarknessSpirit[/URL]

The cabin Katherine was in began to slowly sway and shake, bending to very strange angles that would normally topple the cabin... Yet it didn't. Suddenly, the fire began to spark madly, suddenly turning into a dark black flame. A hand began to emerge from the center of the logs... Behind Katherine, more hands sprouted from the wood, blocking the entrance.

Sepentireon screeched loudly, flailing around as the fire spread wildly across him. However, the pain didn't blind him to Ceralder trying to take his possessions. He tried to sprint after him but couldn't catch him in time. As soon as Ceralder ran out the door, he felt a power flow over him. Suddenly the books felt a lot heavier, and much more damp, as if something in the makeup of the books was loosened. A sick black ichor started to seep from all the pages, no longer guarded by the cosmic magics of the library. Sepentireon charged at the door, trying to reach his hand through after Ceralder, but could not fit through in his hydra form. He would need to take some time to revert into a smaller form.

Disgusted by what had happened to the books, Ceralder stopped, out of reach of the clawing hydra, and drenched the books in blue flame before Sepentireons eyes. After they had burned to ash, he headed down the corridor, as quickly as possible.

Katherine jumped up as the cabin started to sway and shake, she instantly moved towards the exit, where hands instantly sprouted from the wood, blocking the exit. Katherine turned towards the fire, where a hand was emerging from, she instantly backed towards the far end of the wall, opposite direction of the fireplace. She backed up until her back was on the wall.

The hand pulled up, revealing a humanoid like body, covered in red robes. It flopped itself on the floor, and slowly pushed itself up

"Ah finally... Another one worthy of the knowledge..."

The black hands along the wall grew into tendrils, rapidly occupying space in the cabin until Katherine was being squeezed and confined. Above her, she could feel something cutting into her head.

"Just think happy thoughts... You will awake soon enough..."

Whether or not Katherine resisted, she would eventually wake up to the smell of dirt and the feel of wet soil around her, a shallow grave.

(Sorry, I thought that Ceraldur ran somewhere else)
Ceraldur found himself in Alreos' castle... On the throne, he would notice Khan. @Safety Hammer

Sepentireon finally squeezed out and doused the flame on the books, grasping at the ashes frantically.

"My herbal books...! It was such a pain to write these..."

(Wait, was Khan burning them?)

Katherine looked scared and confused as the figure came into firm form. Katherine pulled out her sword but it was too late as the tendrils wrapped around her, squeezing her, and rendering her immobile. She resisted, struggling and screamed when she felt something cutting into her head.

Katherine woke, enclosed by wet soil and dirt, unable to breathe, she began clawing her way rapidly through the soil, digging up and struggling to breathe.

@GreenEyedStranger
As Katherine pushed through the soil, a dull light immediately flooded into the soil. If she dug herself out completely, she would notice that she is in a grave yard, overlooking a pretty little village with people walking about.

(Is it safe to assume Arabelle and the others are at the cabin still?)
(Yup and about to leave to get Katherine or buy off the hit)

Paint The Wind]Arabelle held her kids tightly and sighed softly. The tried to hide her miserable thoughts that just kept creeping back and memories began to torment her. [URL="https://www.rpnation.com/profile/10876-kylesar1/ said:

"We share memories, mommy." Ryan/Ryanne's voice came in through Arabelle's head again to keep it private.

"I know we do, I'm sorry you have to see this." she replied, her body trembling.

Katherine pulled herself out of the soul, freeing herself before looking around, seeing herself surrounded by a graveyard. "What the hell.." Katherine breathed out, looking around the graveyard. Katherine gazed down at the small village, trying to register what happened and how she got here.

"I'm not a good person Ari. That sword is covered in the blood of thousands. I wish to turn over to a new life. One where I don't have to kill anyone else. That sword is nothing more than a reminder of every person I have killed. When you've been alive for as long as I've been that begins to take its toll on you. You can't sleep because you swear the souls of the damned are screaming at you asking why you killed them. I just don't want to see it ever again."

"Are you sure, Cross, because once Lexi eats it, it's gone for good. There is no Undo Arrow here."

"You're gonna have to face your fears head on. You have help and support, both physically and emotionally."

"Even if I were to keep it I would be unable to use it. Destroy it, I want the screaming to stop."

"Alright then," Ari said, taking Stormbreaker. "Lexi, Devour!" Lexi coiled around Ari. He threw the sword up and Lexi shot up and swallowed it whole

"Of course mommy. You can do it better than anyone else."

@GreenEyedStranger
Around her there were several other graves, with empty plots, like someone dug out. Katherine would notice a strange pattern, people in the city kept doing the same thing over and over... The baker kept shouting the same line, walk in a circle, then go back to the town center. A librarian checked the windowsill of a building, tapping on the glass repeatedly.
