The Rebel [KurtH6355]

You step out and begin to follow behind the shotgunner as he tags along with the other Watchman. However, you hear a voice speak to them after they have gotten around the corner.

"Where're you going?"

"Attaching to the main sweep," the new voice says.

"Copy."

There's a third cop, and he's probably going to be heading in your direction.

Francis groans, and turns, backtracking and heading anywhere he can out of the way of the approaching Watchman. Another passageway, a abandoned locker, something along those lines.

You back up and turn around, finding some junk to hide behind in the room that the civilians were originally being arrested in. After settling in your hiding spot, a lone Watchman begins to rush by, a carbine in his hands.

Francis slinks back, making himself smaller, but keeps the gun at the ready, hoping desperately that this Watchman will also simply pass him by. He even begun debating with himself weather to retreat further into the tunnels, or even the swamp, and lay low for a day. But then he risked the blob thingie attacking him. What were the Watchmen doing down here, anyway, murdering homeless people for fun?

The cop disappears through the doorway and continues on his way to join his comrades. You're not sure how many more officers are down here, but there's probably a lot. You probably can't just walk behind the prison escorts without them or somebody else seeing you.

Francis decides it'd be best to try and get up to the other level and fall back into the tunnels, contemplating that he was more scared of the Watchmen than the glob. The glob, he could likely run from. The Watchmen, well, they had guns. Once he could no longer here the footsteps of the Watchman, Francis came out of cover, and begun efforts to reach the ledge Travis and him and jumped down from.

The footsteps of the cop soon fade into the distance as he runs off to join his squad.

You get up and return to the area where you first entered. You make your best attempt to climb back up, but you find yourself unable to do so. The ledge is rather high up.

You hear longer bursts of gunfire, and the shouting seems to become more frantic.

"Fuck!" Francis says, before making the ultimate decision to head north, through the original entryway, where the shotgunner and his buddy had headed, sneaking ever so quietly and trying to find another passage leading away from the shotgunner and his buddy.

You skulk around the passageways until you come across a room with something going down inside. Through a hole in the wall, you can see that it's a dirty little place, but it still has a bedroll and a makeshift shelf with a few personal belongings in it. A member of the Watch is inside, her Orderkeeper pointed at a young woman's head. The civilian's skin is an odd greenish hue, and there's an odd welt or two on her face, suggesting she's a mutie.

"Are your friends chipped?" the cop asks her.

"No..." she replies.

"Where are your friends?"

"I don't know..."

Using her gun, the cop strikes her hard on the back. The mutie girl yelps in pain as the cop relays a stern order.
"You're going to tell me. Right now."

Francis walks into the room silently, and puts his revolver to the back of the Watchman's head with one hand, his knife against her throat with the other. "Give the gun to this woman...Now." He says, dropping his voice with the last word to sound more like a growl.

The watchwoman freezes as she feels the cold edge of the knife against her neck, and the barrel of the gun against the back of her head. The mutie girl opens her eyes and looks over her shoulder, as she was previously facing the wall. A wide, slightly smug grin spreads across her face as she turns around. The cop's grip on her pistol loosens, and the girl snatches it from her hands. "Thanks, whore."

The uniformed woman grits her teeth, her breathing heavy.
"Damn," she mutters lowly as her own Orderkeeper becomes pointed at her.

"Goood...Goodnight." Francis says, before wrapping his gun hand around the woman's throat, immobilizing her, and stabbing her several times in the throat, killing her brutally. After the killing, presuming he does this successfully, he lets the body down gently, and shushes the girl, motioning her to also get down.

You grab the cop and plunge your knife into her throat, causing a large amount of blood to squirt from her throat. It doesn't go very gracefully, and the woman elbows you hard in the stomach as she chokes on her own blood. She staggers forward and bumps into the wall, before falling over and finally dying as blood pools around her neck.

The mutie girl winces a bit, and glances around worriedly. A bit of noise was made just then, but it doesn't seem like anybody heard it.

"Okay. I'm gonna dress up in her uniform, and then you punch me in the nose. I'll bleed, so that it accounts for the blood caused there. Then we hide her body, I put you in cuffs, and using the disguise we head aboveground and to the slums. Got it? Give me the orderkeeper." Francis says, reaching his hand out to her.

"Well... there's a nametag on her uniform and stuff," the mutie girl tells you, brushing her auburn hair out of her eyes. "I don't think they're going to buy that you're 'Officer Reyaz'," she points out. "It might look a bit tight on you, too. I mean, it's a woman's uniform." She rubs her chin a bit, and hands the Orderkeeper over to you. "Just saying, 'cos if something happens, I'm gonna be screwed too."

"Well, we could cut the nametag out or something. Or do you suggest we just continue trying to sneak out?" Kurt asks her, holstering the swinfmaster and now holding the Orderkeeper.

"I don't know," she says, scratching the back of her head. "I mean... We could try to use it as a disguise. I mean, at least it could stop them from shooting you immediately, or maybe just leave them confused and give you enough time to shoot them first." She shrugs. "But maybe just try to avoid the cops."

"Combination of both then. Hide this in your waistband." Francis says, handing her the slum pistol he had obtained earlier. He then went about changing into the game Watchman's uniform

"Thanks. I know how to use these," the mutie girl says as she checks the slum pistol's magazine before reloading it. "By the way, I'm Maci. Thanks for saving my ass, that bitch was gonna waste me afterwards." She heaves a sigh of relief as she tucks the rusty handgun in the back of her pants.

You take off the policewoman's apparel, donning her uniform, peaked cap and bullet-resistant vest. You hear the sound of a squawking radio getting closer to the room, and Maci gets a bit on edge.
"What do we do?" she asks in a hushed voice.

"I'm Francis. Act legit." Francis says, before grabbing her by the arm and pulling her out of b the room, purposely holding her in front of him slightly to cover the nametag "Come on, you fuckin' whore." He growls loudly, enough for the other Watchman or men to hear, and reveals himself to the other policeman. "All clear in there, looks like this stupid mutie had no friends. Where's the exit? I'm gonna bring this whore back myself. She had association with the gunmen in the cavern that engaged our main sweep. Chief wants any and all for 'questioning'." Francis says.

When you yank the woman out with you, she pretends to act pissed off and nervous, squirming slightly in your grasp. After you speak to the cop, he just stands there, glaring at you for a few moments with his Orderkeeper lowered. Finally he asks, "Who the hell are you?" Maybe your appearance wasn't convincing, since you still presumably have your backpack on. Could have been the lingo, or just your unfamiliar face.

"Me? I'm...What the hell is that!?" Francis asks, before raising his Orderkeeper as if to fire at something behind the Watchman, but then swiftly swiveling the sights to the Watchman's unprotected upper chest, neck, and head, and deploying the tazer function of the weapon. Assuming the Watchman goes down, Francis storms him, kicking him in the face several times and trying to rip away his radio and firearm, keeping his own weapon nearby.

(Getting Overcast flashbacks rn)

You raise the Orderkeeper and tase the Watchman in the neck. He immediately falls to the ground, beginning to convulse violently. The guntasers pack a lot of voltage, so he's put out of commission very quickly. You kick the downed police officer several times, and manage to get his radio and sidearm away from him.

Maci has taken out her pistol, and is keeping an eye on things to make sure no other cops show up.

After disarming the officer, he drags him into the room where they killed Officer Reyaz, and tazes him once more if he puts up any kind of resistance. He then pulls his uniform and vest and such off, leaving him naked, before cuffing him with his own handcuffs, and stuffing the nearly empty slum magazine into his mouth as a gag. He continues to change from Officer Reyaz's uniform to the male Officer's clean uniform. He then puts the male Watchman's Orderkeeper in his back waistband, next to his swingmaster revolver, and then calls Maci in. "I'm gonna let you keep the slum pistol, and give you my revolver. I'll hold onto the Orderkeepers. If we get out of this alive, you can keep both handguns and one magazine for each. I'll be keeping the two extra swingmaster and slum mags, taking the almost empty slum magazine. Take the pack, too." He says, giving her the swingmaster and the backpack. He then hands her the Watchman protective vest. "Put it on under your clothes. It'll look funny, but might make anyone hesitate before realizing you don't just have alot of muscle mass." He continues. After the two are done equipping themselves, Francis pulls the slum magazine out of the male officer's mouth, and puts the tip of his knife against his throat. "How many more Officers are down here, why are you down here, and where is the nearest exit?" He asks, shoving the barrel of his Orderkeeper against the man's crotch. "Getting tased in the dick. Ouch, huh?"

You switch uniforms with the downed officer, finding the male's apparel more fitting that Reyaz's clothing. You also cuff his his hands behind his back.

Maci slips on the protective vest.
"Why are you just keeping the good guns, and not even giving me any ammo?" she asks, slightly annoyed. "You don't need two of those," she says, gesturing at your pair of Orderkeepers.

You make your attempt at interrogation, and your threat seems to work. The officer grits his teeth and reluctantly answers your questions.

"We're doing a sweep," he simply says. "There's a few squads down here, spread around. More than you can handle." He takes a deep breath. "Just keep walking straight... it'll lead out of here. Promise," he tells you.
