Fantasy The Poison Of The Seven Seas

Crystal had listened to those who were trying to stop the fight. Mio seemed to have been taking care of the new member. Isabelle was it? Yeah! Then, all of a sudden, her blade was hit with another, causing her to look towards Murphy and narrow her eyes "You need to Bloody Sleep! Damn it, Murphy you're drunk!" she said before her eyes darted right back to Mio who had instantly begun the fight, causing her to react quickly and jump back "My name isnt 'Girl', Mio! You know exactly what my name is." she stated before her eyes narrowed once more, using her mind to figure out where he might try to hit next.

Taking this chance, she ran towards him and swept her sword in a swift diagnal motion, only to hear a Cling! and instantly know that Mio had blocked her attack. Damn you Mio!!! The fury was on her face, now she was determined to win this spar, even though her other fellow shipmates have been saying that maybe it wasnt a good idea "I will not let you win this spar." a smirk appeared on her lips as she pushed her blade on his, jumping back from him and taking her stance once more "Do not expect me to hold back, Red Eyed Devil."

Louise

"Captain! My apologize for interrupting! Someone got onto the ship in a barrel!"

Louise very slowly raised her eyebrows at the girl as she frantically butt into the conversation. The captain blinked a few times, and then slowly tilted her head. Someone got onto the ship in a barrel. Alright. Louise had dealt with stowaways before, but usually they'd creep onboard just as the ship was setting sail. Never did they get aboard in broad daylight where there with countless sets of eyes on the lookout. Either this "stowaway" was really stupid...insanely clever...or nonexistent.

The woman slowly folded her arms, sucking in her cheeks as she pondered what to do. Louise gently tapped her foot against the planks beneath her, but something broke her conversation.

"My money's on the sexy one."

Louise's ear twitched ever so slightly as she heard Isabella, the Poison's pilot, speak up. She had joined the conversation, and though most of the chatting was lost, the six words were pretty clear to Louise. The woman narrowed her eyebrows ever so slightly, but she quickly turned her attention back to the cabin-girl. The captain tapped her fingers along her bicep, and then finally replied,
"Alright, tell me...where did you see-"

Thud, thud, thud...THUD, THWOMP!

"WHAT THE HELL--"

"Captain..."

Louise jumped ever so slightly as Zubari, one of the ship's best (and only) strikers, suddenly appeared in front of her. Placing a hand over her chest, she woman began to say, "Don't scare me like that!" but before she could, the man had wandered off. He wasn't much of a talker, but Louise wasn't complaining. he did his job, and he did it well. She appreciated him.

Louise inhaled deeply, looking back at Noémi for a third time. She wasn't even able to open her mouth to speak before she was cut off. This time, by three swift footsteps followed by the quick whipping of a sword as if sliced through the air. Louise quickly turned around, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly as her teeth grit together. The captain quickly stormed over to the scene, but by the time she got there, a fight had already broken out. Louise's face, now a lovely shade of pink, shrieked,
"DROP YOUR SWORDS!"

Mio Del Abascal Marco Vega

Crystal jumped out of reach from his attack, and Mio stopped the blade at the end of the arc then let go off it with one of his hands while letting it gently lean on the boards next to him. His face remained completely serious as she dashed towards him and countered with her own blade. He waited until the last moment to pull his arm in, and stopped her blade with the small bend in-between the hilt and cross-guard of his blade. A very risky and unnecessary maneuver, but Mio felt like displaying his confidence and speed could strike uncertainty into her heart, making his job easier.

As they stood with locked weapons she spoke "I will not let you win this spar." Mio gave her a bored smirk in return and said "If you spent less focus and energy on talking, perhaps you could stop me." She jumped back away from and took her fighting stance again. Instead of using both hands, Mio lifted his heavy two-hander like a duelist's blade in front of him. The stance was far less effective than his previous one, but he did it on purpose to handicap himself for the girl. "Do not expect me to hold back, Red Eyed Devil." He cracked his neck again, then responded "No need." before he once again went in for an attack.

This time he aimed to get much closer to her than before, and held the large blade over his shoulder instead of having it pointed at her. At a very quick pace he got to within arm's reach of her, at which point she slashed her blades towards him at a diagonal angle. Mio slid his sword down from his shoulder, ready to intercept the strike with it. This was everything he needed. He'd lock blades with her at the base of his sword, and simply overwhelm her with his physical strength, forcing the sword out of her hand. Just a few moments longer...

"DROP YOUR SWORDS!"

Somewhere deep within Mio's mind a switch was flicked, and his hand instantly released the blade. For a moment he thought this was entirely natural, until he realized that A. the sword he just dropped was no longer going to block the slash, which would most likely lead to a nasty cut. B. the sword he just dropped was going to make a nasty cut ON THE FLOOR. Thinking fast, and acting at the very highest speed he could muster, Mio moved his right arm a few inches to the side and caught Crystal's hand together with the hilt of her sword and raised it away from himself. At the same time he threw his left arm under his right arm and caught the hilt of his large two-hander, then brought it up and lightly placed the cold steel against Crystal's armpit. "Match. You lost an arm."

Mio sheathed his blade and took a few steps back from Crystal. Despite being such a rebellious character, somewhere beneath it all Mio still had deep loyalties lying with Louise. Mio abandoned his cold serious face and resumed his happy, careless expression when he turned to face Louise. "Aye aye, captain."

@Britt\-21

Crystal was always amazed at how he was during battle. Even a simple sparring match he was serious as if his life was on the line. It kind of was but then not at the same time. Just as she went to attack once more, Mio seemed like he had something up his sleeve, getting closer, her ears were filled with a shriek from her captain, making it too late for her to stop her attack so suddenly. Doing that would be like trying to stop a train with a concrete wall thats a few inches thick. Knowing Crystal, she does no stop with her actions as quick as people want her to stop. Either the person has to use a different move while dodging, or blocking her attack and speaking in that split second of the block.

She knew that Mio was now going to have a big bad wound on him at this rate if he couldnt stop her. Thing is, why would you drop your sword? That is the most dangerous thing that Crystal had seen. Though, this was one of the many Dangerous things she had seen in her life. Oh no! I'm going to hurt him! This was not my intention at all! Damn it, I'm so sorry what im about to do my fellow shipmate. The Captian will have my head for this!

Thats when she had been pulled from her thoughts and felt a warm hand covering part of her hand that had held her sword. Her eyes widen in shock, the reason for that is because Mio had actually stopped her swinging hand that was almost about to give him the bad gash. Then, the cold blade of his sword had gently been pressed against her armpit. Mio then claimed victory and was now back to how normal like earlier. Her attention was then brought to her captain. Sliding her sword into the seath, she then nodded "You got it Captain." the dance she just had with Mio wasnt as thrilling as she had hoped.

"Nice spar." she said to Mio

"Ello Cap'n" John stated with a smile and a bit of a playful bow. He then went back to playing his accordion more. He felt his cheeks flush a little at the sight of the captain but he forced it back down. He tried to distract himself with his music and began a new song entirely. "I'm tired of being lonely

And I'm sick of my crew

Cuz this ship is takin' on water, yes

And my socks are turning blue
" He smiled at the fact the song seemed to mirror his thoughts a bit. He loved being on the ship and would walk the plank voluntarily if the captain asked him to.

Natalia Corsa

"Hello Captain! Rum?" Natalia asked holding out the bottle for her captain. She smiled a little and then realized she was slacking before setting the bottle down and running to grab a barrel of black powder to carry it carefully. She carefully set the barrel down and ran back to keep moving barrels as fast as she could. She loved the smell of gunpowder and her current job was a great source of that love. She was almost satisfied with her current job but every time she started to feel satisfied her father's memory would remind her of her birthright. She would be a captain some day even if she had to swim to shore and steal another boat her own damn self.

Finally we've reached the mighty vessel The Poison, "Hopefully we be getting some work soon" Sequan said to Scat as the cat climbed into his boot wriggling around in it. The water lapped at her bow while a man put crates and barrels onboard, Scat meowed as they moved towards the deck. Sequan knew well that he needed to be careful of the cap'n otherwise he may get killed for supposed mutiny, then they would probably kill Scat. The thought haunted him of the both of them lying dead at the bottom on Davy Jones locker. With the horrid though of his ghost to keep them company for then and the rest of eternity.

Hope took Louise's reprimand, and then went to go look for Mio. Finding him was easy, as usual, and not just because Hope was the ship's lookout. Mio was a very noticeable person, especially when he was involved in a fight, as he was when Hope found him. Hope, who didn't really like violence, stood off to the sidelines and attempted to prevent Iris from joining the fray and attempting to hurt them enough to snap them out of it. She succeeded in preventing the parrot from physically attacking them, although that didn't protect the brawlers from Iris's rich vocabulary of verbal abuse.

Louise yelled at the fighters to quit it (her face turning a lovely shade of pink that went well with her eyes in the process-Hope would really need to make a picture of that), and Hope wasn't quite sure what to do. She decided to let them at it. Once Louise had managed to cam them down, Hope approached Mio and told him: "The captain asked me to see you. She wants you to inform me about what our course is going to be."

Perhaps she could distract the red-eyed nutcase from the fight if she drew him into navigation stuff, which she knew from her interaction with him was about the only thing he took seriously.

Nesim huffed raggedly -the better he could do with the binding around his chest- as he let the heavy box he was carrying fall onto the ship's deck, glaring at the scorching Jamaican sun which refused to leave him be, burning more freckles onto his skin. Fumbling around with the messy knot of hair he had made, he was pleased to know that his heavy work for the day was now done and that he was allowed to take in and understand the havoc that was currently happening in the Poison. Most members were too preoccupied with the boxes and barrels they had to roll and bring into the ship, while higher, distinguished members like that devil of a navigator or that red-headed boisterous girl were entertaining themselves by sparring plain in sight.

The ottoman smirked, trying to get closer so he would get a better view of the showcase of swordmanship talents, but their Captain Louise had to spoil the fun and order them to stop. Nesim sighed, but he did not complain, since spars like these were common events in the sea life, even more in a pirate's. He would have more opportunities to be amused.

Eventually, he paid more interest to the situation, glancing ocasionally to the crew's
parrot and its owner, now attempting to get the sailmaster's attention, for reasons Nesim wouldn't bother to care about. He was much more interested in what that teenage swabbie had meant when she spoke to the Captain about a someone hiding in a barrel... Nesim wasn't a professional in english, so he could have heard wrong, but he was seriously doubting that at this point.

Criminey! What does this mysterious knocker require? The sound of knocking, which startled Simon from his melancholic daydream, heralded another bittersweet reaction. To Simon, his room was like a holy ground; the door like the curtain of Jerusalem's temple, with him, the priest, the only one allowed inside. And yet the visitor had the manners to knock, a rare treat on The Poison.

Sadly, the visitor's politeness was undermined as the door gently began to breeze open. It always did that, an after affect from earlier that year when a drunken Mio smashed his way into Simon's room, breaking the single lock and rightly scuppering the hinge, so that the excitable piece of woodwork swung loose when unchained. Sighing to himself, Simon strode to the door and held it steady before the visitor could get much more than a partial glance at the sacred contents inside.

Many pirates chose that lifestyle purely to avoid the many vices of more traditional lifestyle, to embrace social and sexual freedom society would deem thoroughly improper. And though Simon was still traditional in many viewpoints, racism was not among his arsenal of opinions. His knocker was an indigenous boy whom they had acquired in a recent recruitment excursion, a tyke who's hulking body would have been far more suited on a more experienced individual. Distanced as he was, the Dutchman had scarcely encountered him, but what little they had crossed paths, he'd presented himself as more dignified than much of The Poison's unruly bunch.

"I do apologise," Simon did apologise, as he slid out from his room, slipped the door closed and painstakingly bolted the seven locks. When all was done, he turned to the boy, head cocked curiously. "Now, you knocked?"
Probably an errand from the Captain or First Mate, as I can see little other reason for one seeking my company.

@Gh0st

Louise

"Aye aye, captain."

"You got it Captain."

Louise, angry beyond belief, looked at the two pirates in front of. Her expression alone was enough to make a small child cry, if not run away in terror. Her face had slowly faded from a rosy pink to a bright red...if you didn't know any better, you'd expect her head to explode. She ground her teeth slightly as she stared them down...and she didn't seem to be phased in the slightest at Mio's close shave with pain. She just looked....REALLY pissed off.

"Ello Cap'n."

Louise didn't bother to face John directly...did he not even realize what was going on? Usually, Louise loved a good song...but at the time, it seemed a little inappropriate for the man to break into song. She cocked and eyebrow slightly upon hearing the lyrics, and she muttered to herself,
"Blue...?"

"Hello Captain! Rum?"

What was with these people today? The woman was truly astounding at their obliviousness of the situation, and was about to comment on just that...but Louise held her tongue. Through her teeth, she just growled,
"Not...right now."

"Nice spar."

Louise turned her full attention back over to Crystal and Mio, and again she looked like she was going to start spitting flames at any moment. The captain took a step closer to the two of them, turning her attention towards Crystal as she growled,
"Spar? Spar? Is that was that was? A sparring match? Right in the middle of the deck where you could easily injure other people? Where most of these people are hired hands that don't even know how to fight? And how some of them are really good fighters and would have no problem getting involved? Well my, it sounds like you really know what you're doing here, Crystal."

The woman paused, and then faced Mio.

"And you..." she began scarily. "I expected more from--wait, what am I saying?"

The woman folded her arms again, and then glanced between the two.

"I expect more from you. Both of you. Not only are you making a fool of me and my ship, but you're setting a bad example for the younger ones. We may be pirates, but we're not savages. Do I make myself clear?"

"DROP YOUR SWORDS!"

That was the first time that Riley had ever heard her sister's voice. And boy did she sound pissed...and loud, let's not forget loud, but that might just be the shoddy barrel she was in. She shook nervously inside her barrel and caused it to fall over once more, rolling across the deck. She found this very annoying and tried to get out of the barrel and get things over with only to find that she had closed the barrel a bit too tight. She was now stuck inside the barrel.

"...Shiiit..." Riley mumbled as she tried to escape the confines of the barrel. It must have seemed comical, someone getting stuck in a barrel. But hey, if she managed to slip on and get in a barrel then that said wonders for their security, so no one had the right to talk or make fun of her being in a barrel.

Yep, Louise was definately pissed at both her and Mio. "Spar? Spar? Is that was that was? A sparring match? Right in the middle of the deck where you could easily injure other people? Where most of these people are hired hands that don't even know how to fight? And how some of them are really good fighters and would have no problem getting involved? Well my, it sounds like you really know what you're doing here, Crystal." I should have known better for sure. But all I wanted was a little entertainment. Besides, if we were close to others while still sparring, I would take hits for them. Lets not argue with the captain. She avoided trying to talk back to her Captain. Even if they had been friends and still are, as a Captian, she has to put her foot down, And yet Crystal still respected that.

Louise had spoken once more "I expect more from you. Both of you. Not only are you making a fool of me and my ship, but you're setting a bad example for the younger ones. We may be pirates, but we're not savages. Do I make myself clear?" Now Crystal didnt mean to make a fool of her or the Ship, but it seems that she did that to her Captain. Slowly, she nodded "Yes Captain." well at least there was some excitement for a few minutes. It was just too quiet and too...lonely. There needed to be some entertainment at least. And so, both her and Mio had given it. "It was not my intention to make a fool of you and the Ship. All that I really wanted to do was make some entertainment. But it seems that has only gotten you angry, I'm sorry."

Crystal really pushed her buttons when it came to stuff like this. A risky woman she was indeed. No matter what the cost, she'd most likely do it to get a thrill of the situation and have a little fun. But she guessed that maybe sparring on top of the deck with a bunch of others around was kinda bad. But it was risky! So of course she was going to take that chance and have a little fun.

Mayohaboa (Yo)

Upon knocking on the man's door, it begun to sway open slowly. Immediately, Yo went into a bit of an irrational panic. What if he thought of him impolite for accidentally opening the door? Would that mean he would turn down his request? Did he have enough money? What the hell was he doing asking a man like him to teach him? These thoughts stormed through his mind and for a moment the boy contemplated running off. However, the man had already stepped outside and begun working on closing the door that had an obscene amount of locks. Seven, to be precise, and he only knew this because in his days with the tribe they had taught him to count up to twenty. The Dutchman turned toward him and apologized before asking his reason for knocking. Several awkward moments passed and the teenager stood in a nervousness that restricted him from forming words before finally being able to speak.

"Um, yes sir, I knocked. I'm not here for the Captain or anything actua-..." Yo stopped himself and took a breath as he gathered his bearings. He then spoke again but unlike the last time the boy now spoke with confidence and clarity. Thankfully, he was no longer stumbling over his words when he explained the situation. "Before I explain what I'm 'ere for, I do wanna tell ya that I din't mean to open your door like I did it just did it by itself. Like I said, I'm not 'ere for the Captain, I'm here to ask you for something. I was wondaring if you would educate in all subjects that you know. I don't come from parts that had much learning, and I do wanna be the kind of man that knows things. I do 'ave money to pay you." the boy explained to the Dutchman through a thick accent and word structure that would only come from learning the language through pirates. He took off the bag on his back and quickly offered it to the man before him. What made the teenager so nervous around Simon was not anything to do with fear, it was more that the Dutchman had an air of intelligence that Yo knew he didn't posses. However, that did not mean that he did not wish to posses it for he did. It had always simply been a matter of not having the opportunity to gain it. At least until now.

@SkyGinge

Chaos. That's what could best describe any ship preparing to set sail. Nava watched as the men scrambled back and forth, lugging barrels around or making sure the ship was put together for their departure later that day. Her job was to supervise where they, especially the newer - and more foolish - ones, were putting the gun powder and cannon supplies. It was not her favorite job, as she had to be completely sober for it to be performed correctly, but it wasn't a hard job in the slightest. The only difficult part was having to watch the rookies become accustomed to the general layout of the ship and how things worked.

A fight broke out in the middle of the deck without warning. What a bunch of dumb asses, she sighed, betting that it had something to do with Mio, what with the things that man could get himself into. The captain would not be amused in any way. Nava made her way to the center of the deck and leaned against the mast, watching with a small grin on her face as she saw she was right: the two fighting were Mio and Crystal.

It didn't take long before the captain found her way to the fight and begin shouting with all her power at the two. Even when confronted by the red faced demon of a person the captain could be, neither of them seemed to be even slightly apologetic. In fact, Crystal seemed to be defending herself from the captains onslaught, claiming she was fighting for entertainment purposes.

Nava shook her head and was about to go back to her position when she noticed a barrel rolling across the floor without purpose. That may not have seemed odd to most, but Nava knew what was in the barrels that were supposed to be loaded; food or powder. Whatever was in that barrel could not be either of those things, based on the how it rolled unevenly. The fact that it stopped completely on its own, with a strange pounding arising from within, proved Nava's suspicions to be correct. She walked with intention to where the barrel had come to a halt and placed her booted foot on the top of it. "Hello, rat."

Mio Del Abascal Marco Vega

With a never-fading smile that most likely annoyed the ever-living hell out of Louise, Mio took her scolding. He'd gotten used at this point. Nobody got hurt, he was confident in his abilities not to damage things, and things had gone fine. He didn't feel bad, nor did he feel like a savage. If there was a little sting of regret in his chest then it was due to her getting upset about him. Again. He was well aware there was little to no confidence left in him from any of the older member. He was that rowdy character nobody wanted to get in a fight with, so they left him alone and hoped he did what he was supposed to. Not that he minded, it mostly gave him more freedom to move about as he wanted. He wasn't completely alienated anyway.

"Very well, sparring later." He said while shrugging, still with the light-hearted expression, then looked over his shoulder up at Isabelle. "You don't need to flatter me, by the way. I know I'm sexy." He half-shouted and bared multiple pointy teeth in a devilish smirk before he finally started paying attention to his actual job. The lookout, Hope, had approached him as she had been requested to by Louise herself. Mio was really split towards her. Hope didn't seem like a bad person, but she had an aggressive way of talking that always made him feel like she valued him little over a rotten oyster. He let out a sigh, and responded "Jérémie, Hope. About 135 nautical miles east-northeast from here, there's a port town." Mio looked up at the sun, then threw his arm out in the direction he was describing.

Mio studied Hope hesitantly for a moment, then chuckled lowly. "You wouldn't happen to feel like trying to navigate us there? I've taught you for some time. You should be more than able to."

Well, Nesim had seen his few share of odd things since he ran off to live the rest of his life at sea. Now, a barrel rolling and shaking on its own as if it were a creature was certainly one of them. It would be more plausible for someone to be hidden inside, like the swabbie had said, but he wanted to make certain of that. In the past, when he was just a sailor and not a pirate, he had found stowaways smuggling themselves into the ship in the most unexpected of ways, and this technique was not all the more original.

"
So?" He inquired, approaching their master gunner who -if he was not mistaken or not yet well informed about the rest of the crew, since he had joined rather recently- was called Nava. He hoped he was not being intrusive, but really, intrusions weren't that uncommon amongst bandits and pirates. He was just curious; he should be permited to have a bit of spark at the very least, all the more important if he wanted to get along with the members of the crew, which were still not accostumed to his habit of... Shifting from one thing to another, to put it bluntly.

All the subjects I know, Simon frowned (though he frowned so often it was of little consequence), That might take quite some time. Intimidation was not an unfamiliar reaction to the Dutchman's stony gaze, and he couldn't claim not to quite enjoy it, or the minor rush of power it entrusted him with. Irregardless, the boy's request. He wasn't entirely sure how to react to it. His instinctual responce was a firm no, but this boy had shown him no wrong, and indeed clearly showed an avid interest in matters most respectful and dignified. It would be a shame to outcast such a budding student into a world of pointless drinking, all for the sake of some arrogant privacy.

"Sadly, the door's rather fond of doing that," Simon sighed, glancing over at it as he personified, "Excitable, jumpy thing. Like some accursed puppy, only large and flat and made of wood."
Not your finest metaphor, Simon. Not by a long shot. Shrugging of his pathetic attempt at being figurative, the man returned his attention to the boy. The briggand thinks me the type to be bribed by money. Why, if that were at all true, and if avarice were the vice to me it is to many of our fellow shipmates, I'd never have damn well abandoned a life of easy luxary to live among the rats.

Simon took the boy's money, eyed it idly, and then tossed it back to him. "As flattering as gesture as this is, you may keep it yourself. I'm sure you'll find better use for it than I. No doubt you'll have triggered from these -" he gestured to the caged door, "- that I am a man of utmost privacy. My connections are few and distant. However... if it is knowledge that you seek... I suppose I can be of assistance."

'Suppose?' Codswallop! For, although in any other circumstance, Simon would have abruptly declined (politely, of course) such a request, presently he felt a peculiar sensation inside him. He instantly recalled the time spent back in Dortmendler's portside mansion, the early days of his falconry, and the way he had slowly, but surely, trained a wild beast to be tame and civil. He recalled the overwhelming accomplishment that had washed over him. Yes. This boy can be my latest falcon, but a falcon far superior to his other breathren. A falcon I can train as a brother.

Then something quite rare happened. A smile swept onto the Dutchman's face. Not a half-smile, or a slight curdling of the lips, as was often the case, but a proper, shining smile. In the midst of his stony visage, it was almost fierce. And his eyes, gazing off into an invisible cloudspace through the labarynth of wooden corridors, like the misty eyes of a Classicist sculpture. "Of course," the Dutchman continued, his tone now lighter, "you may wish to specify exactly what 'knowledge' you wish to begin with, as 'knowledge' itself has a breadth greater than the seas we traverse. Furthermore, in truth, I very much suspect I will make a bally awful teacher. Then again, I suppose half of the fun of learning is doing it oneself."

He was gloriously distant for a few long second after that, and then, sighing himself back to reality, he shook his head and turned his gaze back to his student-to-be. "Think on it. Presently, I have matters to attend to, and no doubt you too have duties the Captain would rather have you do than barter with me. When you have decided on an initial topic, I shall likely be in the security of my quarters at any moment of leisure. If it pleases you, knock, and our lessons can begin. I trust that my books can satisfy your needs."

Caww! "Good day," Simon dismissed, and, after quickly checking his locks once more, breezed off into the shifting shadows of the corridor.

Nava held the barrel fast with her boot, waiting for whomever - or whatever, it happens sometimes - to make their appearance. She was not the most patient person and got sick of games like this pretty quickly. If it was some child attempting to join their crew again she may go easy on them. However, if it was a man made out to be their enemy, they'd be dead before one could claim their innocence or pull out their choice of weapon. No one gets on this ship without Nava having something to say about it. Before she could forcefully pull out the stowaway or throw the barrel overboard, footsteps approached her from somewhere near.

"So?" a voice, most likely belonging to the person who came, asked, causing Nava to take a brief look to find out who it was.

"So, what?" she demanded in return. "Is there something you need to say?" The man was one of the newbies, and a fairly strange one at that. Nava never really knew what exactly was up with him, other than his appearance duo.

Axhasperated by how long she wasstanding on the barrel, she pulled out one of her trusty guns and cocked it, pointing it around about where the hider's head would be. "Hey in there," She tapped twice with the toe of her boot. "I am currently pointing my gun at your head, probably. I will shoot if you don't get your sorry arse out of there pretty damn soon."

@Metaphysics @Purpleyedmiss

"So, what?" The gunner had retorted, harshly at Nesim's mesirable attempt to show any sort of interest "Is there something you need to say?"

As a matter of fact, yes, he wanted to reply, but his mouth clammed shut, the spark once burst within him now extinguished by simply a glare from Nava. That, or because he wasn't swift enough to present his suggestions on how to deal with stowaways (which he knew out of experience), seeing as the woman rapidly pulled one of her many guns out before he could have done that, and pointed it accusingly towards the barrel, whilst keeping it still with her steady foot.

"
Hey in there, I am currently pointing my gun at your head...Probably. I will shoot if you don't get your sorry arse out of there pretty damn soon." the brunette was not messing around; Nesim understood that much, hoping that whoever was inside that barrel would have the wits to do the same, otherwise could end up having their brains -or any part of the body, really- blown off by a couple of bullets. The ottoman was moved by both possibilities: First, he was curious to see who wanted to enter the Poison undetected, and second, the idea of their master gunner murdering a complete stranger without having the reassurance of who it was... Well, first and foremost, it was a grim thought, but what Nesim truly wanted to see was the consequences and how their Captain would react to such eventuality. Possibilities, possibilities...

"Um.... hm." John said confused as he watched a barrel start rolling by. He stopped it with his foot and grabbed his dagger carefully. "Lets just open ye and ave a looksy. Probably a few mice or sometin'" John stuck the dagger into the top of the barrel and started to pry it open. He was a really kind looking person when he finally popped the barrel open and found himself face to face with a girl. " Oh well hello. Come on out of there and meet the captain before you get in trouble." John said sternly before putting his hand out to the girl.

"Finally done." She said sitting down to relax. She had noticed the whole sparring ordeal but was used to that sorta thing. She scowled at the memories that came with it. She'd seen and even participated in many brawls over who got the last bottle of rum but she never saw those things happen on this ship. She was still new to the ship though so maybe she was just not there for one yet. She frowned and then scowled as John caught, opened, and Bagan talking to a empty barrel. "Dear lord he's lost it. Who'll put him down?"

Noémi didn't know what to do. She hesitantly watched the Captain go towards fight that had happened, leaving her by her lonesome. The girl, still frantic bout the stow-away, looked around nervously for few seconds before deciding to run back to where she saw the barrel last.

Right as she approached where it should have been, she noticed it missing.

'Oh no...'

She thought, eyes widening as she looked round once more. Her usual observant green eyes giving up on her as she seemed to have missed the small crowd around the barrel that had rolled off again. Noémi looked at the exact spot where the barrel once was in slight dismay.

'What do I do?'

She thought, biting her already excessively chapped lips uneasily. She retraced her steps, and landed in the same spot. This time, when she looked around, she saw the small crowd.

"Well then.."

She thought out loud, embarrassed for freaking out so much about the stow-away. Noémi walked over to the woman with her foot on the barrel. Her name was Nava, if she remembered correctly. The other close by with his gun drawn and pointed at the barrel, She forgot his name even though he wasn't that new. Three months give or take.

Noémi decided to take the innocent and calm route even though her heart was beating quite fast.

"Is everything alright?"

She asks, looking at the two. Obviously it wasn't alright. They were seemingly about to attack the barrel but she continued to play it off, her jittery hands folded behind her back.

For some reason, she just noticed the other man coaxing girl out. Noémi didn't say anything else, only frightened glances at Nava and the shemale while she kept her main focus on the man's hand.

"It was not my intention to make a fool of you and the Ship. All that I really wanted to do was make some entertainment. But it seems that has only gotten you angry, I'm sorry."

Louise raised her eyebrows. She wasn't really surprised by Crystal's response...the girl had a certain sort of spunk that Louise found almost charming. Had Louise not known Crystal since childhood, the Boatswain would probably be bleeding from a broken nose at that very moment. I mean, the captain tried her best not the be biased when it came to her crew, but she couldn't help it sometimes. Crystal was her buddy...the only other female on board that the woman held some sort of high regard for. Well, personally, anyway.

"Eh." Louise scoffed, upturning her nose as she spun on her heel and started to walk away. "Get back to work."

Louise only made it about five feet when she noticed Nava, the ship's Master Gunner, aiming a pistol at...a barrel? What? And she wasn't alone either. Nesim was standing beside her...the man...err...woman...the shemale didn't really talk too much. Not to her, anyway. The man/woman joined the Poison not too long before the long trip across the Atlantic, but even in all that time, Louise didn't really speak to xim.

"Captain, Mio is suggesting that I navigate the ship to our next destination. What is your opinion on this?"

Louise stopped mid-step as she heard Hope's familiar, flat voice behind her. The captain pivoted, and then blinked a few times. Ah, Mio. Always trying to get somebody else to do his job. It was clever of him, yes...trying to play it off as if he was giving the girl a chance to show off what she's learned...but Louise knew Mio. The woman folded her arms, and then said,
"Not alone. The trip isn't too long, though...maybe a week or two...if Mio oversees you, I don't see why not. Pardon me."

Louise continued toward the barrel, only to see John had beat her to it. He was peering into the barrel, speaking as if to coax a small, frightened animal. The woman let out a short sigh, the planks beneath her creaking slightly as she made her way across the deck. Suddenly, the woman's steps slowed...in fact, it seemed like the whole world slowed down, but only for a moment. The captain meandered forward for only a second longer before coming to a complete stop, reaching a hand out to her side as she gripped onto the railing on the ship to steady herself. She blinked rapidly, as if to clear her vision. The woman inhaled deeply through her nose, nearly gagging as the rotten scent of the port once again filled her nostrils. Giving a short, choked cough, Louise felt her legs wobble beneath her. A droplet of sweat rolled down her temple as she gave a small shiver.

It's the heat...i-it's...this heat...

Louise took another deep breath, and thankfully, the nausea and headache were gone as fast as they came. She removed her hand from the railing, silently thanking God that she didn't pass out of something. The woman shook her head, reaching up and pressing her cool hands to her hot face for a moment before continuing on to the barrel.

"What's going on here?"

"Stowaway captain. Hid in a barrel and tipped it over." John explained still looking at the woman in it. He hadn't really paid the other two much attention. "She seems pretty harmless. I'd like to keep an eye on her and see if she can clean the deck well But of course Cap'n that's up to you." John explained with a shrug before moving so the captain could look.

Natalia Corsa

"Hmm?" Natalia Thought with a slight tilting of her head and a grin. She stood and walked over before drawing her sword gently. "I'll run her through if you want Cap'n." She suggested now interested in the stowaway herself. She admired John's stupidity or courage. What he would've done if she had been armed he didn't know but it gave her a great idea. She'd share her new boarding strategy with the captain later though.

Hope nodded to show that she understood Louise, before being distracted by the barrel, and the stowaway that was apparently inside. She didn't really want much to do with this, as she was non-combatant, but despite crew conjectures, she was still human, and very curious about what was going on. She tried to keep in the background, though- this stowaway could be (and probably was) dangerous. Iris, however, was not a human and did not care, and so flew up to her perch on the crow's nest.
