The Place We Call Home

Janie looks at the birds then back at the Nekos. "No, I'll come" she decides thinking it was safer with the Neko's. After all they haven't tried anything so far.

They were all surprised to hear that answer. "ok lets get out of here." david said. Maine and raptor gave a nod. Then suddenly the entire group teleported the shield vanished and they were at the entrance to the directors base. Maine looked around. "I'll wait out here." david said. Maine rolled his eyes. "no your not." he said. Maine grabbed david's arm and pulled him into the base. As soon as he had opened the front door, there was a dark hallway. With one light in the middle. Maine remembered this place to well. He began to walk down the hall, dragging david along with him. Raptor hesitantly followed. He looked back at Janie. "You can come in if you want. Or go home, it's up to you. But if you do go home, dont tell people about us ok?"

Janie looks at Raptor. "No one would believe me anyways." she answers and looks around. She didn't think she could find her home from here and it seemed more interesting to tag along anyways, so she followed behind.

Raptor made a small nod and walked in. Maine, David, and Raptor all kept walking in the dim light. "I don't want to go..." david kept telling maine. "oh come on." maine said with a grunt. Eventually they reached the directors office.

Janie catches up with everyone at the office. She felt her breath catch in her throat feeling all the tension around her.

Maine let david go. He opened the director's door. "Sir?" he said with a nervous swallow.

The director threw a book at maine and he caught it. The director turned away and was seeming to take notes on something. "what do you want I'm busy." the director snapped. "sorry sir I... uh.. I wanted to talk to you about something." Maine said. David and Raptor then walked into the room. "what is this THING doing in my office?!" the director hissed at raptor. David looked at him. "He's on our side remember?". The director looked at raptor but then lost interest. "What are you doing here david? I don't need you moping around and being worthless." the director said. David held back a small growl. "I escorted Maine here...... sir."

Janie stood outside listening, she sticks her hands into her pocket not sure what to do while she waits. She lifts her head hearing yelling from inside and is curious to know what is going on, but stays put. She leans against the wall.

"who is the other one?" the director asks. "what other one?" david asks. "Don't play dumb with me Washington." the director says. The director gets up and walks to the door and walks into the hall. He looks at Janie. "who are you?"

The director looks at her suspiciously. He turns away. He walks back into his office. "come inside where I can see you"

Janie walks inside the office slowly, a bit nervous. She keeps her eyes on the director not bothering too look around the rest of the room.

"all four of you, sit." the director says. Four chairs are placed side by side. "Ease up, too. I feel like im a wicked witch to you guys. " the director says, taking a seat in his own separate chair. "Now, what is it you wanted to talk about?" he asks. Maine looks at him. "....It's about C.T. sir.." maine says nervously. "She s-" Maine gets interrupted by the sound of snarling and angry roars, followed by the sound of a thump. "What was that O-o" Maine says even more nervous. The Director smirks. "it's just a project I'm working on...dont mind it. She wont be able to get out. No matter how hard she tries." the director says with a grin. David grips the chair arm tightly. "What is it." He says, almost demandingly. The director sighs. "If you really must know..." he says, reaching under his desk. He picks up a cage that is covered by a towel. He sets it on his desk. Raptor looked at it. He could see small claws pierce through the towel, but then retract back into the cage.

Janie sits down silently trying to follow along with the conversation, but felt completely lost. She fiddles with her fingers nervously. She watches him pull out the cage and stares at the creature startled. "That's not a project, that's a living thing."

A high pitch chuckle came from the cage. "I want to get out. Let me out! hehehehe.."

The Director looked at it. " Not until you behave."

The creature laughed. "Am I your pet now??? huhuh????" it said laughing. "Woof woof!"

Janie stares at the Director hearing the voice come out of the animal. "What is it?" she asks not sure she wanted to know the answer.

"...I'm still trying to figure that out." he said. The director grabbed the towel and took it off. He put on leather gloves and reached into the cage and picked it up by the tail. Sigma and Xavior both looked at it nervously. It was a very strange mutation of a P.C. it didn't look human, or neko much. It looked more like a kind of puma mixed with a dragon. Maine was very confused. "What is..." maine looked at it more closely. "Why did you copy that?!" maine said. He had seen it before, the original life sized version, before it was a monster that once was friends with nekos, but then sided with the humans. The creature had sharp teeth, and rubbery skin. It tried biting the director, but he was protected by the gloves. It had long, narrow ears, similar to a rabbit. The creature started to laugh. Maine looked at it. "why would you do that? the thing is hideous." maine said with a grunt. The laughing of the P.C. turned into a growl. It climbed up to so that it was sitting up right. "Brothers, would you mind attacking him for me?" the P.C. said. Sigma and Xavior looked at each other and then it. "There is Noooo way you are my brother." said sigma. The P.C. laughed. "I'm a P.C. aint I?"

The director tilts his head. "no animals talk. Every animal you've seen today must of been a P.C. of some sort...."

Maine shakes his head. "Sir, what are you planning to do with C.T.?" The director smirks. "Connie? Nothing. Why do you ask?" Maine makes a small growl. "Delta saw her yesterday with a bunch of empty P.C. chips. He says that she is most likely working with someone. And I get the feeling it's you." Maine said. "It's not me Maine. I haven't seen her in months, its probably the humans you should be thinking of." the director said. Maine got up. "Everything you've been doing is wrong sir. Maybe Connie's right. Maybe humans are the heroes and we are the enemies. Just Maybe. I don't know anything anymore..." Maine said, he then left the room.

Janie watches Maine leave the room not sure what they were talking about. She looks back at the director silently. Then down at her fingers fidgeting with them.

"Everyone brace youreselfs for an attack. I have spotted a flock of those crows in the horizon." said Soror as she closed the entrance to the base. Raider got up from his chair and nodded his head.

(I just remembered, if Raider is now human does Soror have her telekinetic abilities? )

"you are all dismissed. " the director says.

Maine waits in the hallway for the others
Garry and Tex locked all the windows.

(hm.... I wouldn't think so. I would think now Raider would have full control of all the telekinetic abilities though. But I'll leave it up to you. )

Raptor and David follow her out. Raptor stretches. "ok I'm gonna walk home. " he says with a yawn. "ok. I'll go home to." david says following.

"I don't know how to get home from here" she admits not knowing where she is at the moment. She looks around between the three faces.

(It makes sense that Raider would have those abilities now. :3 Thanks. )

Soror nodded her head. "Okay, now thats done. I guess I'll have to arm myself up" she whispered to herself, her tail waging in agitation. Raider nonetheless heard her, "Its alright. Everyone is going to have each others' back." Soror lightly let out a sigh, "Even then I would rather have something to defend myself with. My dagger is not going to be enough, plus I don't want to burden you guys."
