Fantasy The Omni Initiative

GrieveWriter

U-Incorporated 2nd Class Type Unit
It is the year 2045, life has been relatively peaceful after World War III, thanks in part to an assembly of world governments known as the Maximum Benefits Coalition. So far the M.B.C has only one goal, to further improve human life qualities no matter what. To this end the MBC has obliterated crime and national hostility by linking up world militaries to target singular threats one by one. There hasn't been any large scale conflicts in over twenty years, mainly in part to the overbearing might of the MBC and the disappearance of repeat offenders from the streets. With criminals being removed by the organization and the world facing a time of considerable peace, you'd think things like the Omni Initiative would never come to fruition.

The Omni Initiative, run by a sect of the MBC, seeks to permanently benefit mankind by way of genetic tampering, physical alteration and so on. To this end they've used hundreds of people to study outlandish changes to the human being in hopes of one day granting the entirety of the MBC with unimaginable super powers to put it bluntly. But these experiments do not come without a price, the majority of their victims are mutated into horrible blood-thirsty beasts known as Foul-Morphs, and many others are turned into submissive soldiers for their own use.

You are one of these test subjects, memories erased and at risk of dying to the experiments they say you willingly signed up for. Trapped and with no hope for freedom, when a sudden flourish of activity may bring you the salvation you need.

What will you do? Out on the run from the Omni Initiative and their Super Soldiers, struggling to survive. Will you risk it all to try and take the fight to them? Or will you try to escape the expansive organization and seek out peace and safety?

Omni Initiative Testing Facility B3

Time 7:00 A.M.

A light humming sound echoed through the halls of the Testing Facility, this humming was punctuated by the crunch of snacks as a figure made his way through the building. This was Andrew Masterson, an employee of this fine establishment, who had just finished helping Doctor Felix set up another Surgical chair, which pretty much had all of his gadgets attached to it and looked like something from a B-Rated horror flick. Yeah, Andrew was more than a little nervous every time he came to his job, what with the monsters downstairs and the horrible surgeries and whatnot. But damn did it pay handsomely, he was living in a fine looking apartment, unlike the usual handymen. Just one of the perks of working with the MBC, even if this was one of their stranger sects.

It was pretty early in the day, sun just barely peaking out from behind the hills in the distance. The daily experiments hadn't started up yet and there were a lot less researchers out and about. Security guards were evenly dispersed, however, and he passed by quite a couple of them in the halls. He passed by an open door, and stopped when he recognized the title on it: Security. Weren't Security rooms supposed to be hard to get through? Against his better judgment, Andrew opened the door and poked his head in a bit.

"Hell-Oh Dear god what the hell!?!" The Mechanic cried out as he came across an entire room full of unconscious security guards, with a grumbling professor at a security console typing furiously, a professor he happened to know "Professor Haralson?!?"

Haralson turned to him with a look of fear, one that turned to confusion "Masterson? What in God's name are you-?"

}Full Subject Release Initializing...{

"The hell does that mean!?!" Andrew asked hastily as he began squirming. Professor Haralson turned away and continued angrily typing.

"Damn it all, damn it all!" Professor Haralson said before yelling and punching the nearest wall, he then turned to Masterson "We- no- this entire city is about to have a sizeable problem. we can deal with it soon, but I'm going to need your help."

"I don't know what's-!"

"Do you want to survive boy?!?" Professor Haralson asked, and when Masterson began nodding furiously he sighed and patted the mechanic's shoulder "Good, now here's what I want you to do."

Elsewhere, in one of the Holding areas, a row of parallel cells. Each of them had specific qualities added to them to help contain their occupants.

Two cells side by side with each other held two subjects, one of which was trying to drown out the sounds of the other's prattling.

"And then he showed it to me and I was like: There's no possible way that something that BIG could fit in me." said Marina "Then he had his friends pull off my coat and hold my arms down while he just stuck it right in!"

"My god woman, please!" Kendall yelled to her

"Anyway, so after pulling out the needle the doctor had me do a Physical-"

"Subject Release Imminent" came a loud voice over the facilities Intercom, it began repeating that same sentence

"I don't even care what that is!" Kendall shouted "Just make her stop!"

"It's saying something about our release."
Marina said obviously "I got to tell you, after the workout the boys gave me last night I could use a little release."

"I don't want to know." Kendall barked before pounding on his cell's door with his eyes closed "Take me to the labs, throw me to those animals downstairs. But I have to guess about this woman's spare time any more I will-"

Suddenly there's was nothing defending against his blow, and he was sent sprawling into the hall as the other cells began automatically opening themselves as well. Flickering red lights blared to life as sirens rang up all across the facility.

"Wow," said Marina as she checked to make sure he was alright "I guess a good ol' pounding really IS the solution for everything."

Kendall just groaned miserably into the floor as the other subjects around the hall were released as well.

"Hey Jude, don't make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better~" 7 am, also known as Yuma's early morning throw back jam session. His neighbors hated it, to most of them it was there wake up call, a horrid, high pitched, glass breaking wake up call. Yuma could sing well, but it was so much more fun to sing like a dying elephant while breaking his own voice in the process. "Remember to let her into your heart

Then you can start to make it better~"
Yuma was ready to sing some more but the pounding of the pod next to him demanded his attention.

"Oi! Mind shutting up!" An unnamed man yelled to him.

"Music is not something so easily silenced!"

"This is torture, not music!"

"Suck it up. Torture builds character." Yuma took a long deep breath and got ready to sing again, but before he got the chance the intercom buzzed and a voice came though. "Subject Release Imminent" It said. Only a few moments after the pod opened, and with that out stepped Yuma. "Its 'cos they liked my singing so much. Take a few notes." Yuma said as he walked off to god knows where.

Eliana back away from the monsters surrounding her. "N-no! Leave me alone!" She swiped at one of them, then snatched her hand away form the horrible, deformed things. She back up against the tree, then slumped down against it, pulling her head between her knees. Softly, she began to cry. "No..leave me alone.....why won't you all just leave me alone?" As the monsters pounced on her, a bird flew over head. "Subject release imminent!" It squawked at her.

Suddenly, her head popped up from between her knees. "Thank god, it was just a dream." The birds words still rung in her ears. She shook her head, trying to get the sound to go away, but it kept blaring, loudly. Then, she heard a high pitched squeaking noise, and looked up. The door was opening. It was opening! Suddenly, she realized what she had thought the birds voice was. It was the intercom, alerting them to the fact that they were now free. She jumped up, grabbed her few meager possessions, two hair ties, and dashed out the door.

Sullivan sighed, he'd lost track of how many miserable days he'd spent at the facility. He grew to hate it more and more as things went on. The other subjects he'd encountered weren't all that bad, there was that annoying singing he'd heard from a few cells away but it didn't bother him too much, he had a way of drowning in his thoughts.

"Subject Release Imminent"

The repeated message over the Intercom was heard loud and clear. It sparked a sudden wave of haste in Sullivan. He carefully made his way from the farthest wall towards the now open door of his cell. The chaos outside would have made him want to return to his cell if it wasn't for the fact that he absolutely despised being trapped in such a small place for such a long time. He watched for a short moment as other subjects ran by, hurrying to get out of the building. He wondered why they were all suddenly let free.

He took a few steps ahead, someone much bigger tagging his arm as they went by. He moved aside, not enjoying the rush and pandamoneum. He put a hand on the side wall, then his foot, the rest followed. He made his way in the direction of the others, now at his own pace.

Omni Initiative Testing Facility

7:01 A.M.

The walls against the nervous girl's back made her feel safer. She wondered what kind of hell today would bring, but comforted herself by daydreaming about the 'good cause' the sciencey people always talked about. She looked down at her little black shoes, her skirt, her comfy, oversized t-shirt and wondered if that was how people were supposed to dress. All the sciencey people wore lab coats and the security guards wore their uniforms, of course, but what did the people on the 'outside' wear? Was there an outside? Edvige was starting to wonder if this wasn't really 'life' at all, just some horrible comatose nightmare.

Full Subject Release Initializing...

The little girl's eyes slowly rose to look at her cell door.

Subject Release Imminent

And then it happened. The door groaned in protest, but after but a second, it was open. Any normal person would have run, and Edvige knew this because she could see all the other prisoners running. But the little girl, disoriented and scared, just watched. Should she go? Was it morally right to go? What about the so-called cause? But if this really was a comatose dream where nothing was real, why not?

Collecting her courage, she took a step towards the opening. Now what? Being alone gave the little girl anxiety, but she'd never seen so many people in one place. The sight only confused her further.

Even if she wanted to leave, however, there was no way that she'd survive in that crowd. Surely she'd be trampled! So she just stood there. She stood there, staring, waiting for an opening. Once she spotted one, then she would decide what she should do.

Ezra was in a sort of room with a circular metal cage around her but it wasn't a cage, but more of an area where she could wonder around in. The area wasn't large in itself, large enough to use her vectors but it was always the same. The scientists kept clear of the area of where her vectors could touch them but when they came to experiment on her, they had restrained her with a sort of metal mask that couldn't allow her to use her vectors at all. It caused her pain and it always brought out Arthur.

"Subject Release Imminent...."

She lifted her head at the sound as she heard the metal circles disengage and the door open as well. That meant any alarm that was in the room, triggered to go off if she tried to escape, was off. Mother didn't have to tell her anything when she took the chance to escape but how will she survive when all she's possibly known was the inside of a cell/room that was built with her powers to be kept in check.

As Eliana was swept down the hallway by the crowd, she held her breath, concentrated, and began to float above the crowd. She looked around, hoping to find somewhere she could wait until the crowded halls were cleared out. Making a spilt second decision, she dove at the nearest cell, which unfortunately was still occupied. A little girl stood in it, obviously torn, between weather or not she should leave. Eliana dropped to the ground, and waved to the girl. "Hi! By the way, once the hall way is clear, we should go."

Solarex Queen

Solarex sat in her cell, a large mouth guard made of strong material hung in her mouth, which attached to a suit made of the same thing. The suit held large cuffs, that covered her wrist and ended towards the tip of her fingers. This prison armor was to help keep her from releasing her acidic blood in any way, and breaking the armor against these walls was a fantasy, since the suit was made to resist cracking against the inside of the cell walls. The teen stared blankly at her thick cuffs, her teeth still biting the guard. How... Cruel. This wasn't fair... The other experiments didn't have to dress in a suit like this...

The teen sighed as she waited to be taken out of her cell to be poked and prodded in the bright bright lab. But, the injections that they tried hundreds of times didn't really work as they had planned. Her blood was acidic, so it burned the foreign invaders that had entered her body. To Solarex, it was such a waste of time, since none of the fluids they inserted inside her never worked. So maybe it was just to torture her... Cruel....

"Subject Release Imminent."

Her cell started to open up and before her were many many prisoners who were dashing towards an exit. The teen picked herself up and ran out to the outside. She was free.... Well, except for her arms and mouth that were still locked up. But, she ran as quick as she could. Who did this? She had to thank whoever had done this. Solarex paused to witness two girls, one still inside the cell and the other encouraging her to move. "You both better leave fast. If the hallway clears, the guards will come looking." She said, with her boring, monotonous voice through the speaker inside the mouth guard.

"Yeah, we should." Eliana scooped her up, and tossed the little girl onto her shoulders. "There we go. Now, I for one really want to get out. Want to come?" She turned, directing the question at Solarex. Before the girl got a chance to answer, Eliana had already taken a deep breath, touched Solarex's shoulder, and made a force feild, in which they could float. They sped down the hallway, protected by the edges of the force field. As they reached ex stairs, she dropped down, gasping for breath. It turned out that transporting more than one person that way took a lot out of her. "Well, here we are, so you may all go your separate ways."

@yumiyukifan1

Edvige jumped, startled by the arrival of a random stranger. The strange girl said something about leaving.

"Go...?" Before she could ask any of the raging questions that plagued her mind, yet another stranger appeared. Because of their voice, Edvige couldn't tell if this new person was male or female, but with news like that, she didn't really care at the moment. Edvige didn't like the guards. Most of them were very strong looking and very rough when they escorted her to tests.

Edvige didn't know what to say, but luckily the blue-haired girl spoke first. Her words went right through the little girl's mind, as she was hoisted up onto the girl's shoulders. Edvige let out a quite, but startled cry as the three of them began to float. Luckily for the small, frightened girl, the ride was a short one. Too short to give her a change to wrap her mind around... well, anything.

Instinctively, she grabbed the blue-haired girl's hand and looked up at her, then to the other person and back, with pleading eyes. "Please take me with you!"

@yumiyukifan1 @Scattered Ambitions

Eliana looked down, as she felt a hand grasp hers. As she heard the plea, she reached a hand down, and tousled the girls hair. "Don't worry, im will. I'm not sure if she's coming with us or not though, as she seems like kind of a loner." She reached up, and pulled her hair back away from her face, into a high ponytail. "Well, I think that we," she gestured to herself and the little girl, "will be going now. Coming?"

@yumiyukifan1 @Kenzimalija

Sullivan was still walking on the left wall with his hands stuffed in the pockets of his dark jeans, though the hallway was mostly cleared out. He saw a group of girls in front of him, they seemed to be just standing there. He looked at them, studying each one for a moment before continuing walking and approaching them.

The first and most noticeable one had long blue hair that he found his eyes return to more times than necessary. The other girl had a cold appearance, he was notably farther away from the other girls. The last one he looked at was smaller, he was unsure of whether she was a subject here. A sudden flare of anger filled him, the scientists and professors here were torturing little kids? This place was worst than he originally pegged it to be, and that's saying a lot.

Solarex Queen

Before she knew it, Solarex found herself floating inside a bubble force field, heading towards the stairs. Oh. How nice. She thought as they gracefully soared over the rushing river of escaping experiments before landing. The teen gave a nod to thank the blue haired girl and turned her head towards the stairs. That should be where the scientists are performing their experiments in their lab. Upstairs... "Um... Can I ask you two a favor?" She said through the radio that was attached to her mouth guard. "Can you two help me bleed?...."

It was a weird request, really. But it would help a lot... Definitely help a lot... She needed to bleed out of this armor right now. Destroying the lab would slow their chances of getting caught, since the doctors won't have any help with wrecked chemicals and technology. It would be nice to pay them back... After all these years... Solarex waited for them to do so, hopefully they could... Because she couldn't. "But... If you can't do it, it's alright. I'll find some other way..." If there was another way.....

Omni Initiative Testing Facility

Party o clock.

Yuma walked in the middle of the mob of test subjects who were also using this golden opportunity to escape to there own freedom. Yuma wondered what the other people were thinking, many of them seemed to be in a rush to leave, in fact, as far as Yuma could see, he was the only one taking his sweet time walking. As the front doors seemed in sight a thought hit Yuma. "Ah jeez! I forgot my man purse!" Yuma thought aloud. Yuma turned around and began to walk in the opposite flow of the mob, many simply pushed by him or roughly brushed his shoulder, a few fellow text subjects told him he was going the wrong way, but Yuma ignored them and kept walking back to his pod, getting many strange looks on his way there.

Ezra was slow on walking since she should've known the scientists would rig something that would keep her powers under control. She had a helmet/face mask on that was set on low vibrations to disrupt her concentration on her vectors and keep her in somewhat constant pain.

"It's not gonna work"

"Shut it woman I know what I'm doing!"

Kendall was trying to pry the elevator doors open, but even with his super strength found himself unable to get the damn things to budge. Marina stood off to the side staring at the opposing wall.

"Trust me, Ken Ken, when you've been around as long as me you start to know when a shaft is working or not." Marina said as she looked at her nails "Whether it has the Elevator cart in it or not."

"I will pay you," Kendall paused "to stay silent for the rest of the day."

"It wouldn't be the first time someone paid me to tighten my throat."

Kendall banged his head against the sealed, Elevator doors and mumbled his hate. As he cursed every god he could think of off the top of his head, Marina noticed an approaching figure.

Some girl wearing some kind of helmet stepped inside the hall the hall they were in, peaking her interest. (@RoyalPhoenix32)

"Hey Kenny?"

"If you ask me my length one more time-"

"Who do you think she is?"

Kendall looked away from the elevator and spotted the girl as well, his expression read his usual unimpressed look "Dunno," he said lamely as the two stared "probably another test subj-"

Suddenly an idea appeared in his head, then he called out to the helmet girl "Hey girlie! You got anything that can break through a foot of poly steel?"

"This...one would love to...help but...This one can't...This helmet keeps...this one's powers under...lock and key...Get this...fucking thing...off us!"

Ezra said, stopping to channel out the pain before Arthur took control and asked the two people to get the damned thing off. It was constantly annoying Arthur that she and Ezra were in somewhat constant pain and couldn't do anything to help stop the pain.

@GrieveWriter

"Oh I know," Marina said with a sigh as Kendall stood and began walking over to the girl "after they fasten them on it just makes it easier for them to ride you throughout the day. Believe me, it was a...Ken?"

Kendall leaned down and grabbed both sides of the helmet in his grip, then let his muscles tense as he dug his fingers into the sides of it. Once he'd gotten a solid hold, he began pulling. The helmet whined in protest for a moment before Kendall was finally able pull the helmet apart. The girl's head was freed as the two halves of the helmet came away and left a small spray of metals and such.

The muscle head let the two chunks of helmet fall to the floor and chuckled, "All right, now what exactly can you do?"

(@RoyalPhoenix32 )

Ezra blinked in surprise but smiled at the person who helped her before hearing his question.

"This one can use vectors."

She said before Arthur took control

"Want a demonstration?"

Arthur said with a smirk before small chunk of wall was torn out by one of her vectors

"Exactly," Kendall chuckled before turning back to Marina "See, there's nothing I can't work th-"

"I think we're supposed to head this way."

"A-are you sure about that?!?"

Kendall turned back and looked past the girl to see a man in a blue shirt step out of an adjacent hallway with a chubby guy trailing behind him. Professor Haralson let his eyes glance over to them for a second before he looked at them with wide eyes, the chubby guy quickly following his lead.

Kendall and them stared at each other for two seconds before Marina piped up, "Hey I remember you! Didn't you do things to my body in my sleep-?"

The professor beat her to the punch and quickly grabbed Masterson and booked it down another hallway.

"Oh no you don't!" Kendall roared before darting past the girl after them, Haralson swiped a keycard along a wall mounted conduit and a security gate rose up behind them as they ran.

Kendall faced the gate and got in a lunging position.

"Hang on a minute Ken Ken!" Marina shouted as she jogged towards him "If you play to rough with him he might break before we can get anything useful out of him!"

Kendall didn't seem to hear her in the midst of his rage, then leaped forward shoulder first. Haralson and Masterson stumbled a bit as the gate was destroyed behind them. Up ahead was another security gate, and Masterson cursed as Kendall's raging figure closed in. Professor Haralson made a move by the security console near the gate just as Kendall lunged towards them.

Unfortunately for them both, something wrapped around both Andrew and the Professor's legs sending both of the falling to the floor. Kendall was already mid-jump, and his look of shock turned to one of confusion as he sailed over the fallen employees and crashed face-first through the gate. Marina stood several yards behind them, both her arms dragging the two towards her as she pouted.

"I told you not to be so rough with them." she said before realizing what was on the other side of the gate and turned to the former-helmet girl "Looks like Ken Ken found us some more friends."

Kendall rubbed his head as he slowly rose, then opened his eyes to see several more subjects nearby. Seems he crashed some get-together or something. He moved to say something, but immediately just piped down as he rubbed a sore spot on his head. Marina finished coiling her arms around the employees before moving to join him.

Edvige stared at the restrained person as she processed the bizarre question. She looked up at the blue-haired girl, then back at the monotone-talker. She took a deep breath, then timidly asked her question.

"Why do you want to bleed?" She had a feeling that the answer had something to do with those restraints. She knew how to expose someone's flesh, sure, but blood never came out. Perhaps she could draw blood if she manually tore back more skin or flesh, if she could bring herself to do it, that is. The thought made her shiver, but if it was helpful, she'd do it.

Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed something odd. Some guy was just walking on the wall towards them. He seemed to be studying the three of them, which made Edvige nervous. She shyly shuffled behind the blue-haired girl to hide, but was still able to see the monotone-talker. Edvige thought it would be rude to talk to them without looking them in the eye, even though she was nervous.

Suddenly, some buff guy crashed into the hall. Edvige's mind had gone silent, whereas it was usually buzzing with thoughts. Her mind had nothing to say now. A guy just burst into the hallway and, unsurprisingly, it looked like it hurt. The small girl had to admit to herself that she found it somewhat amusing, but was still too stunned to show it.

@yumiyukifan1 @Scattered Ambitions @jmcknight08 @GrieveWriter @RoyalPhoenix32

"This one doesn't like either one of them...They did horrible things to us, like put that helmet on us and made sure we didn't leave the cell/room we were in less we receive a 'light' electric shock. Light wasn't what they did to us, it was inhuman electric shock to the head."

Ezra said with contempt

Sullivan looked towards the awful sounds of banging and crashing. He watched what were obviously other subjects give the employees hell of a beat down. He raised an eyebrow, the man must have head increased strength. The girl was harder to look at, she could extend her limbs in a way that made Sullivan uncomfortable. He looked at the group of girls, then to other subjects, he was unsure of whether it was a good idea to stick around. All he could do was alter gravity, if it came down to it what would he do against someone who could toss him around like a ragdoll? Jump on the roof and crawl away?

He gently let himself fall to the floor, landing on his feet with a soft thud. He felt it would be easier to converse with others if he was looking at them straight on. He let his eyes scan the area, he wanted an easy escape route if things got dirty. He noticed the smaller girl hiding behind the one with the blue hair. He assumed she was scared, nervous. He chose to hide it, but he was too. All these people seemed awfully crazy, he wondered if they'd been undergoing the same things here. He wondered if they remembered anything from before they were put into this misery.

He placed a hand on the wall and leaned into it as a way of comforting himself, he let his other hand bury itself into his pocket while he awaited what the others would do next.

Solarex Queen

Solarex sat down on the bottom steps as she tried to scrape her temple against the railings. She needed her blood to melt this material, otherwise it'll slow her down for sure. When the little girl asked the question, "Why?", She willingly answered through her radio. "Because my blood is acidic, so if I bleed, this armor will melt off and my hands and mouth will be fr---"

CRASH

She turned to see what had made the loud noise. Was it the guards?.... Their backups?.... Something else? Two figures were seen outside of a large hole that had appeared not too long ago, one of them, a woman with long arms holding two Evil men she had seen before, and a man with muscles who looked like a migraine had attacked him. Were they also experiments, too? Well, maybe yes, since the woman was holding those two as hostages and maybe the buff guy tried to break them out.

".......Good Morning." The teen said out of the blue. It was morning.... Wasn't it? Or... What time is it? She walked over to the two strangers and bent over to the mess of debris and used her arms to point out a sharp piece of metal that hung with the pile. "Can one of you cut my cheek?..."
