Storm Maiden shot a glance at the hole the defenders went through before following Whiplash.


"We'll let you go after we get into the R sector," she says to the captive, "Not one moment earlier."


She pauses to turn and talk snappishly at the other two, "Phoenix, Death Bringer, hurry up. That diversion isn't going to last forever. You guys take the front, cover for Phoenix as she blasts anything that gets in our way. I'll handle the rear."


"Let's get moving!"

"I'm not scared," she mutters. Liar, but a convincing liar. Cory swings the module over her shoulders, not saying anything more to Danny as she moves out of the room at a steady jog. Moving, a position, and a purpose. That was all she could hope for, almost earning a small smile as she warmed up. Blast anything that gets in the way. She could do that, easy. Slowing only slightly to glance over her shoulder, she called back quietly to clarify, "We'll be goin' up against some a little rougher than before, yeah?" Had to get a gauge for how hot to go. For precaution, she called a net of large fire bolts, each of the five about the size of a basketball, and kept them in a semi-circle around herself. The heat was intense and they burned awfully bright. She slid her goggles off, back on, pulled her hair out, and slid them up over her eyes, wearing them headband-style.

Upon hearing the news of the woman who controls people who look into their eyes cleverly named Iris he got a bit annoyed as he had basically given his prime defense away to become a class A threat. But he thought back to his training and started to use a technique he hadn't used in a while since it wasn't as easy to do with the suit. The mirrored-edge technique where he looked at the reflection of his swords and used those as his eyes on the battlefield. Since he hadn't done it he had to practice it and ran in after phoenix leapt into the air to get a full view of the room and started his assault. He was mowing mercilessly through the smaller guards and the supers didn't seem to notice they were there yet. He was doing very good but had to cut away from his technique a couple of times which would mean an end to the fight against Iris. Danny wasn't as good as he thought he was and he decided if it came down to it... no it would come down to it Danny would have to rip out her eyes before she realized that they knew her power. Danny turned on his speaker and told everyone quickly "Guys when Iris gets here we have to surprise her and go for her eyes it's the only way." Just after he had said that a super showed up a bit surprised and came in to attack. "Aw Shit."

Before danny ran into combat they had to reach the door.  They weren't far now, so he had to finish all questions quickly.  "The visors," Whiplash said, "how do they work?"


"Any form of eye contact will render a person vulnerable," the man replied.  "This works through any form of visual enhansement and even reflections.  From what I understand the visors work like a digital camera and just project a digital image in front of the users eyes."


He seemed releaved and more relaxed after Storm's prommise.  Unfortunatly, that didn't help him any.  His mask didn't rely on digital enhancement for his vision.  He was concenred that he'd be rendered totally useless in the case of an EMP.  He'd just have to deal with that when they got there, and that seemed to be now.  They reached the door and the man didn't even need to be prompted to open the door.  Whiplash released his arm when the door began to open.  As expected armed guards were waiting on the other side.  Whiplash had hoped they'd hesitate upon seeing the man, but they didn't.  In fact, they just shot him!  Whiplash moved off to the side as Danny moved in.  The guards were distracted and Whiplash sent out a wave of kinetic energy, knocking a fair portion out of the way.


"Iris won't be comming to us!" Whiplash shouted at Danny.  "She's in charge of transporting the information that was stored in this place!  We have to find her and hope we do before she escapes!  If we find guards with visors that's a good hint we're getting closer.  Oh, and take any visors from downed guards and put it on!"

(You jumped ahead a bit, but I think I worked around it ok.  I hope so, at least.  Also, her powers working through reflections was planned before you posted and was not intedned to counter anything you had.  Lastly, you can give yourself a powered opponent.)

Just as Danny saw the guy it seemed that he was behind Danny already. Danny thought that maybe it was teleportation but when Danny swept at his leg the guy was in the same place like nothing happened like he jumped. It was at that moment Danny figured this guy's power. SUPER SPEED. "Well this is gonna be over quick huh get it quick like you. No ok. Hey real quick what rank are you?" The speedster proudly said "I am a rank B feel like this is still going to be over quick?" Danny said "Oh gad Damnit you can go fuck yourself mate and don't you dare use my joke." Puzzled the speedster said "You think i'm just gonna let you leave?" Danny said "Well you better cuz i need a rank A and not some mamphy pamphy bitch class CUZ THAT'S WHAT B IS BITCH AND I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS." Angry now Danny decides maybe he will kill this dick just to blow off some steam. The guy thoroughly confused was thinking wtf is this guy talking about but while Speedy was thinking Danny left an after image of himself in the same spot and ran behind Speedy, tapped him on the shoulder and as he was turning around hit him with the but of his sword. Speedy was confused and now pretty scared and hurt but not unconscious. 


It's time to fight.
