Pretty much. fully fleshing out your characters is always the best, because you will never be unprepared to post in a situation.

Amen to that! It's part of the reason I didn't include Van's backstory just yet xD I've got too many details in it and I can't condense it down cleanly enough to where I'm still happy with it uwu;;

Pretty much, and Eirhodeign is over nine-hundred years old. I am not about to go into every decade he's lived. Instead I started at his finding of Lani. Though her was totes mcgotes an evil totalitarian leader at some point in his first centruy and a half of life. Part of why he wants to leave behind a better world now, because he knows how bad it gets.

Oh man, I get the feeling if Van and Eirho ever meet, they would have sooo many stories to tell. And it sounds like Eirho's not too unfamiliar with the kind of thinking that goes with how Van spent a good 200 years of his life, too. I'm interested to see how these two would play out together

At Eihro's age he largely just wants a peaceful existence, and I'd imagine Van is largely just looking to be done with longevity in his life at this point too, eh?

At this point, pretty much. Right now he isn't aware of the rumors regarding the treasure's resurfacing, so those priorities may change in due time. I'm not sure if he'll be driven more by his desire to get back his family and health, or to repent. Van's not exactly spiritual, especially after all his years being around the dead, but he's still afraid of facing judgment in the end. Despite his denial to the contrary, he believes there IS some kind of all-powerful deity and he's terrified of the judgment he'd face for his crimes.

Never watched Samurai Jack, but it's true that wishes always have catches. The Monkey's Paw, the Djinn. You get anything in the world, but this is where alchemical rules hold the most truth, something cannot come from nothing, you will gain, but at the loss of something of equal value. Equivalent exchange and the like.

How far is Pansa from your character?

Arya is with Keir and Ireth a little ways into the ruins, They went down a long, crumbling hallway, and are just now going down a narrower hallway that was attached to it...so probably not too far, if Pansa recently walked into the ruins? I know that Vanathell is also somewhere in the ruins, I don't know how close by he is, though. ^^''

Van's farther in than Arya, Ireth, and Kier, but not too much farther. I'm thinking he may have originally wandered down a corridor that parallels the one they're in now, but he has to come back around to meet them since it dead ends. So, standing distance is fairly close, as far as walking towards them, not too far. Maybe ten minutes at most or something.


Also I got carried away making pretty graphics and stuff because I wanna make posts like Rin's but idk how to BBCode augh. That little info section stating who each character is with/near in your posts is super-helpful.

Thanks! It's mostly just memorizing the tags and figuring out the placement--I've never been on a forum that used BBCode borders, divisions, tabs, etc, so it's really cool to have all these options instead of just the basic bold, italics, etc.
