The grate ex-cape

Fifteen minutes later, Michael returned with two fresh sets of clean clothes, and more food, this time from a fast food place. He put the stuff in the back seat and got in the driver's seat. Without a word, he started the car and they drove away, headed out of town.

Chip glanced back at shade and she almost fell out of the sky in doing so. She corrected herself. They continued in silence.

Tucker glanced backwards at the clothing and itched to change into it, but decided against trying to change in the moving vehicle with a robot present. He highly doubted the robot would care, but Tucker definitely wanted his privacy when he was going to change. He'd been robbed of all privacy during his years at the lab as it was.

Shade got worried when he saw Chip dipping mid-flight. As she corrected herself, Shade sped up so he was flying at her side, their wingtips almost touching. He glanced at her and cocked his head, again his way of asking if she was okay.

Chip easily understood the head tilt. She's known shade for a fair while when they were back in the labs. "you seemed worried." she said. Seeing as he seemed okay again, she now asked either of the other two a question. "where exactly are we going?" "right now, anywhere she isn't." Emily said.

Shade would've shrugged if his wings weren't attached to his arms and sides, forcing him to basically flap his arms in order to fly. He listened to what Emily said in response to Chip's question and also shared her curiosity. He was more than happy to get away from Larassa, but he would really like to know their destination, though it seemed like they didn't really have one.

They flew on for a fair while, and had to dodge two planes. They had plenty of warning, thanks to their sensitive ears. But it also hurt for when the Airbus went past. Now they were flying steadily over a forest like area. They were searching for a place to land.
