Veronica watched him and stayed where she was " I only flat and I can only go up fifteen feet " she said

Alaster asked as he flew over to Veronica

Veronica looked up at him " You don't have to... I'll be fine here.. " she said and brushed her hair out of her face

The ground started to tremble as near by windows shattered

Veronica squeaked and tensed she stumbled and floated up above the ground she covered her ears

A sky shattering screech echos across the sky causing Alaster to cover his ears to fall to the ground and stumble around

Veronica yelped and she dropped to the ground covering her ears tightly she collapsed on the ground and whined

Alaster looked up to see a massive grotesque monster leaving a wake of destruction in its path devouring souls

Veronica glanced at the monster and froze she swallowed she felt like she had been paralyzed and just stared at the monster trembling

Alaster grabbed Veronica and flew off with her


"Are you OK Veronica"


He asked as blood dripped from his ears

Veronica couldn't stop staring at the monster and she took small short breaths

Alaster landed infront of his front door out of sight from the monster


"Veronica snap out of it"


He said as he shook her a little

Veronica blinked a few times and gasped she looked to Alaster " I-i-it was.... E-eating then... The souls " she said and tears slipped down her cheeks and she looked to him

"It won't let it get you Veronica"


Alaster said as he wiped the tears off her face

Veronica sniffed and nodded " Thank you " she said quietly

 

[Alaster Von Grim]

"I think that was a lost legion"


Alaster said as he brushed Veronica's hair out of her face

Danny sends telepathic images of flowers and happy things into Veronica's mind to cheer her up

A feeling of happiness and warmth spreads through the area. He sends pretty images into the minds of everyone around him.

Veronica nodded a little " Ya... I think so " she mumbled and seeing the flowers go across her vision she glanced towards the cathedral and she looked back to Alaster and hugged him

Alaster hugged her back


"I can't let that thing roam around"

"I think you guys would enjoy the motherland.... The holy knights protect people from monsters like those.... If there was a way to make this place more like it.... What's the name of this nation anyways?"

"This is Canada and the year is 2016"


Alaster stated as he let go of Veronica

"YYYYEEEESSSSS! Oh thank the gods! Canada is one of our allies! We like Canada because they treat people right here in this country. I'm glad I didn't end up in America or some other nation of capitalism where your wealth is determined by your birth."

Alaster looked at Veronica then back at Danny


"OK let's focus on the task at hand"
