Fantasy The Final Masquerade | Volume: ONE

"Whoa cool! Um hi." That was the coolest thing she had ever seen. "Wow that's so cool haha you must be a real genus to do this."

Julian finished washing up, got dressed, put his weapons on, and made his way to the docks. The walk was long and boring. It must have rained last night, die to the puddle of mud he fell into and the dew that still lay on the grass. The sun was warm with various clouds blocking the warmth from the Earth for a brief moment.

"I can't believe I'm finally leaving this place. So soon and abruptly..." He sighed. Julian saw the docks, also not too crowded. But he saw something on the docks...something big...like a machine. As he got closer he realized what it was.

"O-Holy shit... Is that...what I think it is?" It looked as though it belonged to a girl he had never seen before, but he assumed she was here because of the poster. another girl from the day prior was also there, speaking to the machine.

"Eh didn't take much, a few spare parts in the garage, a spare rail gun, and a voice chip I stole from a rich man!" Sage giggled, then saw a boy walking towards them, she smirked seeing his reaction of her robot. She moved her left arm up and waved a hello.

Julian was dumb founded by the machine. "A-and...you're here for the poster thing...right?"

'Please say yes, damn please say yes.' He begged the god he didn't believe in.

Julian always liked inventions like robots. He respected the hard work put into them, and always wanted to use one in a fight.

She saw Sage waving at someone. She couldn't tell who it was until he got closer. He seemed amazed at DeathBot.

If not for the voice yelling "Rise and shine!" Torre would have thought that perhaps there was an earthquake of some kind happening. He opened his eyes to see nothing, as usual since his scarf had decided to hug him several times over again, and moved some of the scarf so that he could see Miss North jumping on his bed. At that moment he recalled a children's song he once heard about monkeys jumping on the bed, but he felt it would have been rude to Miss North if he brought it up now. He sat up and looked at the still bouncing Miss North.

"Good morning, Miss North. I have to say, that was a rather unique way of waking me up. Thank you for doing so nonetheless," he greeted and thanked as he stretched. He couldn't tell what time of day it was, since the curtains were still down, but it was definitely morning now. He believed he was dreaming about... a flashback perhaps? Dreams seemed to always escape him as he woke up. He got up, feeling nature calling.

"If you will excuse me, I must relieve myself; I will return shortly, Miss North," he told, and bowed before heading into the room's lavatory. He figured they might as well start heading towards their destination as soon as he finished, so he must not keep Miss North waiting.

"Indeed I am." Julian's mood returned to his normal down-to-earth character. "Julian Grey..." He always regretted saying his name to people. First or last, he hated it either way. The only way he could win was if he told them his middle name of Jackson, and he just generally didn't like his middle name for no apparent reason.

"Ah, I see. Pleasure to meet you, Mister Grey," she took a small bow. Patting DeathBot's left leg again, it turned down to her a little, then 'looked' at Julian. "HelLo, sIr," his voice seemed to take a somewhat human tone now, the robotic voice fading away slightly.

"Ah, hello..." Julian was shocked that it could speak. "Nice to meet you guys too." Julian looked and scanned the pier. "We just gotta wait for a few people to show up and then I'll begin. Until then, just relax." He took a seat with his feet dangling off the edge of the pier.

"Alrighty," she scrambled inside DeathBot and kicked her feet up on his 'chest'. The robot only stood still, as if it didn't care.

Eldrick woke up a little later then normal, as he had to care for his brother a little longer then normal. He got up and changed into his normal clothes, a black undershirt, and a dark blue cloak that reached the back of his knees. He also grabbed his long sword out of the corner and examined it, noticing that it was getting a bit rusted. He sighed and tied it to his belt as he walked down the stairs.

He was met by his brother at the end of the stairs, Franz had a wide smile on his face, "I know where your going Eld," he said. "Your going to the Land of Wonders aren't you?" he asked.

Eldrick nodded, "Yeah...you seem happy about it," he said, he was about to continue with his sentence by his brother interupted him by handing him something, it seemed to be a weapon of some sort.

"It was our mother's, one of the things that the damn robbers didn't take," he said, coughing a little. "Fight well brother," he said before walking to the couch and sitting down.

Eldrick looked at the weapon before realizing it was a small knife, that seemed to be in almost perfect condition. He put it back in its sheath, and put it on his belt, "I'll be back in a little while, make sure your friends take care of you," he said, before walking out of the door.

As he walked he looked around to see if he recognized anyone, but he didn't notice anyone. So he just headed towards the docks.

She looked towards the tavern. She wondered if she should grab a quick bite to eat. Nah she wasn't really that hungry. She walked up to Julian. "Mind if I sit?"

She smiled and set down. She looked out to the ocean. It looked really pretty and peaceful. "So I'm guessing your not a big fan of your name. I could tell while you were introducing yourself."

"I hate it, always have. It's a girl's name, even worse, my mom's name is Julia..." he frowned sarcastically.

"Oh wow that sucks. Well why not change your name?"She laid back with her hands behind her head looking at the sky.

Julian chuckled, "I've tried that. Everyone here knows my name. It's just worthless to try. Plus I'm used to it, It's the only thing I'll respond to." He leaned over and peered into the water.

"Oh yah everyone does know you." She kept looking up at the sky. "I'm not going to lie I'm little nervous about joining."

Julian looked up at the sky as well. "I know how you feel. I've never successfully organized something like this before...successful..." He sighed. "I've never lead any successful mission to the place we are going. I'm worried someone might get hurt on my watch..."

Vivian greeted Torre with a nod and a "good morning", and waved him off as he exited the room. Once he left, the girl hopped off of the bed and moved to the windows, throwing open the curtains with a content hum, sunlight spilling into the room. She rested her arms on the windowsill, looking out at the few people below with a frown. With a sigh, she wondered what the town would be like without her there to terrorize and rob the people. At that thought, her hand automatically went for the pouch which housed Georgie's gold, which he so kindly gave to her the night before.

I should get some breakfast while i'm here. Vivian thought, smiling at the thought of eating a slice of delicious cake.

"Well I everyone who's going knows there's chance that could happen. I don't think they would hold you responsible. Well I wouldn't anyway." She sat back up and stretched.

Her stomach was feeling a little empty. "Yah I am a little hungry." She stood up. "Mind if I go with you I can pay for my own." She pulled out a bank card. Smiled said "Swiped it from my dad."
