The Dragon and the Wolf

Rimaggon grinned and jumped out the window, forgetting that he had to tell his parents. "Come on, Mir!" He entered the forest area again, but he stopped and waited for Mir.

Mir smiled and dived outside of the window, diving down to Rimaggon and followed him, hovering behind him with a smile.

Rimaggon then continued heading deeper into the forest until a fog began to appear. "Looks like we're close." he said as he suddenly tripped and stumbled into the the cave again. "Here it is." He stood up and then looked around. His vision adjusted until the cave looked like it was lit up. His gaze landed on a giant hole on the wall, probably heading to another cave. "Let's go."

Suddenly, Rimaggon froze. He heard voices. And they sounded familiar.

"
We mussst find the egg. Our massster will dessstroy us if we don't."

"Fool! Do you think I do not know that?"

"No, but--"

"Enough, I sense visitorsss..."

Rimaggon ushered Mir to a hole on the wall to prevent themselves from being seen. He then saw shadows across the wall.

"
I am ssstarting to quessstion your sssensssesss."

"I could've sssworn I sssensssed sssomething."

"Sssure you did."

Rimaggon watched as the shadows disappeared and the two people in trench coats continued their conversation. "Mir, try to get as much information as you can from here." he whispered to the dragon.

"
Jussst ssshut up."

"Fine. What are we sssuposssed to do after we give our massster the egg?"

"I don't know. He said he will give usss anything we want."

"Perfect."

The entire time, Rimaggon couldn't hear them. He felt like his ears were blocked by some kind of force or something. "Well?" he asked Mir as he looked at him.

"They wanted me in my egg and give me to their master or something..." Mir reported quietly.

Rimaggon nodded. "That's enough spying for one day. We should head back, my parent's might be looking for me." He then realized what he just said, "Shoot, maybe my parents are looking for me. Let's go." he told Mir as he speed tip-toed to the exit of the cave, trying not to make any noise. Unfortunately, he stepped on a twig. He hated branches.

Mir quietly followed his master until he was alerted by the sound of the branch breaking. He looked behind him and luckily no one is behind them.... Yet. "Quick Master! We must get out of here, fast!" Mir whispered.

('Sneaking until stepped on a branch and get spotted' cliche. *ding*)

Rimaggon nodded frantically and took one step forward. One step was all it needed to make the two cloaked guys pop up behind them.

"
Ah, it ssseemssss that the egg hasss hatched."

"Indeed. We must still take it to our massster even if it already hasss a massster of itsss own."

"Yesss. He can make it join hisss side for the war."

Rimaggon was confused. War? What war? He had no idea. He then noticed that the two cloaked guys were busy giving their speech, so he took this as a chance. "Sorry 'bout this." he mumbled as he grabbed Mir by the tail and high-tailed out of the the cave. Suddenly, he tripped on a root. Again. He let go of Mir's tail and stumbled. Why do I keep tripping today? he asked himself, sighing.

"G-Gah!" Mir yelped as he was held by his tail and tugged by it. When Rimaggpn tripped, Mir got slammed onto the ground and that knocked him out cold.

Rimaggon stood up and looked at Mir's unconscious figure. "Shoot." he said as he carried him loosely like a baby. After doing so, he was suddenly surprised by two cloaked figures jumping in front of him.

"
Did you think you could essscape usss, child?"

"We are the sons of--"

"Quiet. Do not tell him any more information. We must kill him. Now."

Rimaggon ducked as one of the figures seem to grab a sword out of thin air and slashed at where his head were previously was. He saw an opening between the two men and went for it. He finally exited the foggy part of the forest, and survived an encounter with those weirdos. He reached his village then entered his house, running up to his room, not noticing that his parents had called out to him. He placed Mir on his bed and waited for him to wake up. Surely the dragon would wake up in like, a few seconds, since it was... different? Special? Eh, probably both.

Rimaggon sighed in relief when Mir woke up. You owe me two coins, me. he thought to himself. His subconscious replied, I already gave you non-existing coins. Rimaggon rolled his eyes before looking at Mir. "We lost them, and uh, sorry for pulling your tail."

"I-It's ok... Master... A-At least we got away from them... Right...?" Mir asked, smiling a bit.

Rimaggon nodded hesitantly. "Yeah, true, but they'll be back, since they saw you out of your egg. This time, they'll probably fight us or something. You shoud've seen how one of them get a sword out of thin air. I mean, how can someone do that? Do you know how?"

"Sword out of thin air...? Wait... Was it black?" Mir asked seriously, looking up at Rimaghon seriously as he sat up.

"Yeah, like some kind of shadow blade." said Rimaggon, reenacting the 'sword out of thin air' part.

"They are using the power of the shadow... The darkness..." Mir said as he stares at the ground blankly.

Rimaggon probably had the widest eyes everyone had ever seen. "They're controlling the darkness?! What?? How is that even possible?? Are they just using some kind of trick or something?"

"No..." Mir shook his head. "Their master... Could him/her is now the Dark Mage...?" Mir mumbled, thinking while staring into the abyss.

"The Dark-- what?" said Rimaggon. Jeez, when you have a dragon for a companion, the only easy thing to do is ask questions. "What is she/he? A magician or something? And is the Dark Mage good or bad?"

"Bad... Real bad... When somebody became the Dark Mage, they usually become mad with power and create chaos and darkness across the lands... Former Onyx Dragons with their masters were in charge of taking him/her down and luckily we have never failed... yet." Mir explained.
