Mahiro slowly placed down his paddle and embraced Haruka into a tight hug, "Don't apologize," he said softly as he held him close. Mahiro didn't really know what to do, he was never really good at comforting people. Slowly pulling away, he looked right in the eye.


"I think you belong here, people like you here Haruka. I like you here. And I don't want you to leave." Mahiro said with a light smile. "I enjoy spending time with you not matter how ditsy you are. Your a great person and greater role model for Kai."

Kou looked at the girl and crouched down. "Hello Kana? Hello? Little first year~" he said with a smile. He was poking her foot with a long stick so he wouldn't get attacked when she awoke. He always thought that you never could be too safe.

Kanata woke up and saw Kou. "Oh... Hi... I mean... Why are you poking me with a stick!?" Kanata was unaware of what was happening during the first 10 seconds when she wakes up. She stood up and walked up to him. "So.... Yes?"

"Waking up a girl who took down a short fourth year can be intimidating. But what I came here to do was this" Kou said handing her a slip of paper with a smile. His bangs fell in front of his hazel eyes as he looked at the tall girl. Is she seriously 15?

Kanata took the paper and opened it up. "What's this?" She started reading it and looking up at him while blushing in between each sentence.

"It's a script. We are doing a play" Kou said ruffling his hair to fix it through it didn't really help. He looked at her with a relaxed expression which he always seemed to have.

"We are? Um... When did I sign up for this?" She said in a sarcastic tone and pointing her nose up in the air. She then fixed his hair for him and read over the sheet again.

"It's not about whether I'm liked..." he said in desperation trying to get his point across. He looked towards the lake and dipped his hand into the water. He stared at his own reflection as it rippled through the water.


"This lifestyle, everything. I'm just not used to it, and everything has suddenly become so complicated acting like a parent to my brother" he said, he didnt want to sound like he was ranting or complaining but all this was true.


"I don't care if my father doesn't want me. I feel so empty and miserable at times..." he murmured as he looked away from the reflection back into Mahiro's eyes.

"Hold up no touching the hair first of all" Kou said gently flicking her on the forehead. "It's my project I have to do. And I signed you up for it. It's like a modern Romeo and Juliet type of play" he leaned up against the building placing his hands behind his head with a smile.

She shook her head at Kou and put the paper in her pocket. "...fine...." It was the least that she could do for someone that actually liked her.

"Alright so Kana that means we are to be spending lots of time together. And if you want maybe some sleepovers~" Kou teased as he winked and pulled out his phone. "Alright what's your number?" He asked his a cheeky grin. Kou thought that if he could get her to open up to him where she would actually trust him then this play would be a success

"Wh..whatever..." She started to blush and pulled out her phone. She didn't have any contacts besides home and work, which she thought was un cool so she didn't show that to him and tried to hide it as much as she could. "Why are you.... Being so nice to me?"

Mahiro bit his lip as he tried to think of something to say, he hated seeing Haruka like this: so miserable and upset. Gently he placed his hand over Haruka's, "I want to help you, I'll do anything to help you. I already offered before with Kai." Mahiro said as he tried to keep himself composed. Squeezing Haruka's hand he let out a low sigh.


"I hate seeing you like this. Wheres my disty old Haruka that I know and love. Just please don't think about leaving. I'll do anything to help you."

"Do we seriously have to go through that again?" Kou asked placing his hand on her shoulder. "Because I want us to be f-r-i-e-n-d-s!" He said spelling out friends. He didn't understand why she was being this stubborn.

"O-oh... Okay then..." The bell rsng for her next class and she walked to it. "See you later..."

"See ya" Kou called as he jogged back over to the soccer field, some of his friends smacking him on the back or just messing around with him. Some thought she confessed to him or he confessed to her, but Kou explained that he needed her for a play that's all

Chisaki rose from her seat in front of the principal when the bell signaling the start of class rang, thanking the principal for letting her come back to the school, especially after leaving so abruptly. Nobody knew exactly what had made the headstrong girl leave for private school in South Korea, but there were many rumors surrounding her sudden disappearance. As she made her way to her classroom, Chi recognized some familiar faces, and ignored some of the blatant stares that she received from her peers. She took special note of a girl she passed that was around her height. It wasn't common for Chi to meet someone, especially a girl, who towered above the others the way she did.


After finally finding the location of her classroom, she walked in, groaning internally when she recognized faces from her first year of high school. Some of these people Chi found to be less interesting than a slab of concrete, which probably showed on her face as she grimaced and gave her greetings to the teacher. The two stood at the front of the room, waiting for the last of the students to come into the room from their lunch break so that the teacher could introduce her to her classmates.

Kanata made her way into the classroom and sat down again, placing her bag under the desk and taking out her equipment. She was just going to sleep again like she normally did, though.

Taro sat in the principals talking to the principal about what had occurred, he was bloody and bruised and was just arrested a day ago and had to sit in the cop station for a day, he had a fight with his uncle who threatened to throw him out and a couple other people joined in and some people got hurt. Taro had no home now, what was he supposed to do, he was dismissed and he began to wander around before he decided to just sit down in the hall and curl up in a ball, his tough guy attitude was slowly shattering....
