Arabelle nodded and took her husband’s hand. She got onto Misty with him. “I’m going with you,” she told him. She wrapped her arms around his waist. “Are you sure Elaina will be alright? That was a lot for her.”

Ryan gasped when he saw “Mr. Snuggles” and started to cry. His holy magic was flaring up and he scrambled backwards. “I don’t like him, I don’t like him! Make him go away, Willow!”

"It's best if you stay here, Arabelle. Bailey needs you, whether or not she's willing to admit it. Says a lot if I actually care now about her feelings." Ari said to her. He had to go and do all this alone. He was about to get in contact with his less legal acquaintances, and Arabelle simply couldn't be getting involved with all that for her own safety. She knew the drill when it came to that. "I just have to go get supplies to bring back so we don't all die out here in Orc country. That'll require my more classified contacts......... Alison, Avery, and Noam are still here, as well as Tyr." Ari kissed her. "I'll be back tonight."

Willow was offended. She hugged the dog's neck. "Snuggles is a good boy, Ryan! I can't ride a horse! Use your White Lion." Willow had no experience with horses. All her learning time with Ari was being taught how to summon different animals and to control her magic, not how to ride a horse. She had no intentions on unsummoning Snuggles. She got on its back and held on by the middle leash loop.

The dog burped. There was Holy Magic in its breath. Whatever this demon was, it was apparently big on eating those with Holy Magic. It probably ate some high priest before being summoned.

"Your sisters spell did this! It was the blade but after what she did it turned into this. And I don't know what caused it but... Well look at it! It went from a greatsword to a lance!" Noam looked at the weapon, inspecting the form, material, and magic inside. All pretty similar in makeup. "Looks like your weapon is somewhat similar to mine and Ethan's. Inside it must be an unstable magic that can be changed, which changes its form into a different weapon." Those types of items were fairly rare. Ethan got his from King Alreos while he was still reigning, and Noam got his from Ari who............who knows what Ari did, but it most likely had a blood trail behind it.

"If you're sufficiently trained in the weapons, it shouldn't be a problem. You should seek to control that magic though, or it'll keep shifting in battle. For now though, you have a lance."

Arabelle bit her lip and looked up at him. “Please be careful, love,” she told him. She kissed him gently. She didn’t like being left behind, it made her anxious, but she had gotten used to it. “Don’t get hurt.” She got off of Misty and watched them go. She went to find Bailey and talk to her about how she could help.

Ryan gasped when Snuggles burped up holy magic. “No, I’m getting a pony. I don’t like Mr. Snuggles!” He glared at Uriko. “I’m not a warrior! I’m a holy mage in training and that evil doggo is gonna eat me!”

The pink haired child pinched the bridge of his nose and let out a sigh, "[Oh dear mother.]" He muttered his his native tongue. "Ryan-ri, you want to see A-ri and Arabell-ri, yes? Then stop being baby." He put a foot in the sturup of the saddle than hoisted himself up so that he was sitting on the saddle. "Are you Mage or baby?" He returned Ryan's glare, "Uriko sees no mage here. Does Willow-ri see mage?" He gripped the reins in his hands waiting impatiently for the O'conner kids to arrive.

“Yes mam” Luna bowed, leaving Bailey to her tent and maps she returned to Raven’s coffin. Picking it up she started dragging it in the direction that the zombies had originated from. Drinking all the blood in her fathers flask, giggling as her aura became visible. Going out on essentially her own she smiled as she stood in the middle of the forest, sniffing the air for a moment she continued to walk, looking for any sign of an orc. There was no way someone would send in that many without a scout to report back.

"Who's here?" Someone was at the door. The stable boy or a guard. No one could really tell by the voice. Fiddling with the door. Alex must've locked it. Good, but it most likely wouldn't last too much longer as there was the sound of a keychain

They either leave now, hide, or confront the guard and there wasn't much time to plan. A consensus needed to be reached in about 10 seconds

He growls to himself for a moment as he slowly opens his eyes. Looking around for a moment as he groans while standing slowly. The parts of him that once appeared fully human now having an odd look as it seemed to be more of a fleshy scale pattern. A growl sounding from him as he stretches. His clothing luckily surviving the spell as he looks around. Grabbing a scrap of cloth from his bag before wrapping it around his mouth and down to his neck. His eyes looking much more like a dragons as he takes off a glove for a short moment. Growling as he almost had claws instead of nails. Putting the glove back on as he starts walking back to the camp.

Uriko - Castle Stables

The boy palmed his face. A sigh escaped him. His way of encouraging Ryan obviously wasn't working. Why was common so difficult? As far as Uriko knew he and Ryan had been alive for the same length of time. So Alex mentioning Ryan's age meant nothing. In truth the wild child was only a year older.

Regret began to creep in Uriko's mind. He thought 'Surely these guys are going to die.'. Before he had time to protest Ryan's departure he heard footsteps a the door followed by a voice. Clicking his tongue he drove his heels into the horse's side shouting, "YAH!" The powerful steed let out a loud Nay then rushed into a full galloped, kicking up dirt. With a bit of autonomy the horse jumped over the gate designed to keep them in the stables.

Uriko recalled the direction in which the army had marched off in. The tracks left by their massive force was all but erased. It wouldn't be too hard for the boy to follow for now.

"HEY!" The person on the other side yell as he heard the neigh. Keys started to slip into the door and the guy busted in, but it was empty. They were all gone, but the stable boy did see the horses running off. Stolen horses were serious business, so he ran to go alert the guards.

Her dog was charging out, following the horse. "Go Mr. Snuggles!" she yelled as alarms sounded. The dog sped up to the forefront of the group, the spell making up for the dog's smaller stature and smaller stride. There was no need to even be quiet now. If they were spotted, they'd be chased. They didn't even attempt to get rid of the horses' identifiers, which was the saddle with the giant fucking Faylen Army crest on it. Willow's dog didn't have this stuff obviously, but she was with them. Ryan was on one of the ponies, so he was in danger of being chased down as well. Capture would be terrible. They would be locked down completely until everyone returned, then they'd all have to deal with Ari's wrath. She shuddered at the thought.

Ari flew off on Misty. "We're probably not gonna survive out here, Misty..........You know what we have to go do, right?"
Misty smiled. "I can read your thoughts master. Iron Roses?" She sounded confused.
Ari nodded. "Aye. You'll meet a bunch of people I fought with long ago. Good people, but vicious in battle. Time to be a Rose again. I haven't seen the Roses in a while, but they'll definitely be needed. We're outmatched with inferior firepower in their territory. Time to play some Black Assassin trickery on the Orcs. I depend on you and Chloe."
Chloe nuzzled him. "We're here to help you to the best of our ability."
"You're both fantastic companions."
Ari tapped his Communication Crystal. "Who are you." A gruff voice.
"Still alive Flint with the same Signature, I see."
"Son of a bitch. It's Belle himself."
"Still got that name, don't I?"
A laugh. "You cut your hair?"
"Never."
"You're still Belle then." Ari had gotten that name due to the fact that he could've easily passed as a woman when he joined, which the leader honed into his current day disguising skill. Assassins who were capable of playing both genders had a definitive edge over others.
"You know I'd still kick your ass any day, Flint" Ari laughed himself. "Get the Roses together. We have a mission to run. Consider this me hiring the entire group. 20 minutes."

Darian summoned his grimoire and took out the spellbook that Ari handed him and sat down. After checking and making sure it was actually Lightning's Wrath, he placed the spellbook in his open grimoire and slammed the grimoire closed. When Darian opened his grimoire the spell book was gone, and in it's place where it was in the grimoire, a group of pages appeared which contained the knowledge for casting the spell. Darian put his grimoire away and stood up and began to walk around the camp.

Ryan gently squeezed his pony’s sides with his legs and he as fast as the little guy could go. He followed Alex closely, since he was the one he trusted the most. Frozen Plains Forward Camp--------->Camp exterior

Evelyn followed after Luna, seeing her go out alone, and passing by Darian. She didn't know him, but Ari brought him in, so apparently he could be trusted. Luna walking out alone wasn't authorized, as it could lead to capture, giving the enemy some form of leverage over them. "I'm going out with you," Evelyn said, easily catching up. "What are you looking for out here?" If anyone could ever see or sense anything, it would be Evelyn by far. She had some of the best eyes and ears in the camp, even over the elites. She was just never recognized due to the fact that she was physically weak and could only use sensory and trap spells. That made her ultimately useless to the Ranger and the Scout units. Oh well. Ari had plenty of use for her, so that was fine by her.

The land they were going over was thick with snow. Cold, and not a lot of sounds of Mother Nature at work, due to Elaina's spell and the Holy Fallout. The snow falling from the sky was gentle, a beautiful white breath from the lips of Tara herself keeping the land in blessed subzero. The tress, while usually in competition to see who could stack the most snow, were all their natural evergreen color right now due to the unexpected interference of Elaina's spell in their game. It would take quite a minute to get back where they were, but the trees had plenty of patience. From the mass interference, the land was obscured in a crazy mix of displaced snow dust, snow fall, and Holy Particles, giving it sort of a moderately thick fog, but ultimately the Holy Magic in the mix gave people a feeling of peace or confidence.............at least as much as they could get with the threat of being attacked in the middle of enemy territory constantly over their heads.

Darian, bored and with nothing to do besides learning some more spells which could be done later, watched as a woman left the camp and another followed after her. Darian, with nothing better to do, summoned his staff and began to cast a spell. A black magic circle appeared above his head, and another under his feet which began to move together. As the two magic circles touched, Darian disappeared from sight. Darian continued and cast another spell, a white magic circle appeared above Darian and flew down phasing through him. Darian cast the spell and could feel his body being lighter, nimbler, and faster. Darian began to run and followed after where the two people who left the camp.

"We need to set up a perimeter, keep a look our for any enemy movement. We can't be taken by surprise while the camp is like this," Bailey said, "We dont have to wait long for Ari, but right now we don't really have the supplies we need to take on the orc forces, and more injured than I'm comfortable moving with," Bailey added, looking at Allison. She then handed her a small map, "This is...was, a lay out of the camp, take a look, in still looking for the main map. There's an old fort we can move to when we salvage what we can, and that should give is a better chance." Kylesar1 Kylesar1

They were being tailed. A group of 5 Elven Guards all on stallions galloped after them. Considering their animals, only the ones who got on stallions of their own would not get caught. For now though, they were a bit of ways away, but the gap was slowly but surely closing. The guards looked angry, but there wasn't much they could do in terms of combat. If they shot arrows, they risked killing the army horses, a crime punishable by 5 years in prison and the dishonorable discharge unless they were enemy units and were fighting back on horseback, which none of them were. These were all children. They needed to be detained and their parents notified. If Bailey's children in particular got caught, the political damage to Bailey would be grave, especially if they lost the fight against the orcs. They would correlate that lack of control over her own children to incompetency of the army.

They had to keep pushing on, but try to lose them on foot. As long as the army horses were in their sight, there was no losing them. Right now, they weren't recognized. Ari's children were his, so they couldn't be recognized that easily by the Elf Guards. Hopefully Alex, Scarlet, and Tyler put on some form of cloak or something to keep immediate face recognition from being possible.

"We don't need the camp gear in great condition to keep the camp secure. We just need good soldiers, and we should have enough to pull security efficiently until the others get healed enough to take over for them." A lot of the camp gear was torn or destroyed, but a surprising amount was actually usable. She was right about not having what they needed to actually attack something, but that wasn't even the priority right now. It was really just holding off until Ari got back with the supplies. "Unless the orcs run their frontal offensive using berserkers instead of their traditional foot soldier, we can hold off until he returns. We're in their territory, so it's more likely that they're out trying to set up more traps and ambush points to prevent an escape when they do strike. Elaina's spell keeps them from bringing any sort of Dark Magic though, so we do have an advantage of amplified Holy Magic troops." That spell destroyed any Dark traps placed within a mile radius of the camp. Their holy units, (paladins, battle priests, clerics, templars,) would shine, especially in defense during an attack. The downfall of the orc's homefield advantage was that it would have them spread out their troops to keep an assault going. That took time, and time was on their side right now. Right now, they were the most vulnerable they were likely to be during the day. A frontal offensive right now would destroy them. Once Ari came back, they'd not only have enough to sustain themselves, but they'd have enough to actually launch a counterattack

"The perimeter is still intact, albeit with things displaced by the explosion that need to be set back up. We can just up the patrols and the scouts on the borders. We'll have someone ID traps, disarm, and set up more than we already have, and keep some scouts in the trees on watch." Bailey mentioned an old fort. "I have to advise against moving to the fort. If we set up in the fort, that could open us up for a siege lockdown, preventing escape." On one hand, it could give them shelter until Ari came back, speeding up recovery of troops, as well as getting them away from any form of traps. On the other, if the orcs tried a siege, they'd essentially be trapped with no way to move and Ari with whatever he brought with him would have to fight off that siege so the army could actually move. There were advantages and disadvantages to both. Staying outside gave them the option to escape, but it slowed down the recovery of troops and kept them open to traps and ambushes................But then again, Alison was a maid, not exactly the bastion of military knowledge. While she did learn from Ari, who had been on 2 already and read about combat a LOT, she herself hasn't actually been on a warfront. Bailey had the risk management skills to make the decision, but it was worth knowing all the options and why.

Necropolis

Hidden among in dense forests and foothills of an imposing mountain range, rested the withered remains of a hamlet. Such a small village was an oddity for this area and had only existed to service a great manor that dominated a nearby hilltop. Once a majestic and distinctive building it had fallen into ruin, it's windows stained or broken, the roof sagging, and its glory faded. Behind the manor what was once a paved road, now little more than a footpath, led to an expansive cemetery. The cemetery held nearly three hundred graves as well as lesser six mausoleums with one great mausoleum in the center, such places were known to spawn the undead and thus avoided by normal people. The prefect place for a group of bandits to lay low and plan their next scheme.

hqdefault.jpg

The Red Hand Bandits had had a bad week, after days of poor hauls and poor weather that thought their luck had turned when they saw a carriage making its way towards a secluded stretch of road. The group, lured by the promise of a quick payday, ambushed the carriage forcing it to stop, they were dumbfounded then the doors burst open and well armed warriors leapt out. Finding themselves outmatched by the professional fighters and with enemy reinforcements moving in to cut off their retreat, they ran into the forest like scalded dogs.

It had been a lucky break that the pursuit was lost in the woods, even more so when they discovered the abandoned mansion. Even a ruinous place like this was a godsend to those desperate and tired men who sought nothing more that a place to escape the biting rains. Upon reaching the manor they were shook by the vestiges of its former glory, the fires or greed and envy burnt in their hearts.

"Oi, keep the latern covered you nit, if the boss finds us out here he'll have our necks."

"Then why don't we just wait till morning instead of fumbling around in the dark?"

"Ugg, and what!? We do the work digging up the graves while the boss takes the gold? No, I says we go clear out that big mausoleum hide the goods and quit this damn group the first chance we get."

The other man merely mumbled out his response and the two continued in silence towards the central tomb. When they arrived the one carrying the covered latern set it down and began inspecting the door for traps before moving onto the lock. A few short minutes later he put his shoulder to the door and pushed hard. The rusty bolts screeched as the door opened.

Picking up the latern the two moved inside and uncovered it, letting light spill out into the tomb.

"Aiiiiieeee!!!" The lockpick squealed almost falling backwards before the larger man shoved him.

He tried to turn and run but the man grabbed him by the collar and slung him towards the wall.

"What's a matter? It's just a bag of bones, you gonna believe those fairy tales about restless undead? Just a bunch of hogwash made up by the nobles so no one would come sniffing around their graves."

He said as he pointed to the skeletal frame that was slumped in the corner, "now help me find the bloody money."

The two soon became dejected, it seems that there was no great wealth stored in the tomb, in his anger the large man grabbed an urn and dashed it to the ground with a curse. The lockpick was about to suggest they leave when he notice a faint gleam admist the ashes. He gulped loudly as he crouched near the skeleton and began to sift through the ashes.

The large man was cursing to himself as he looked out the door, a sudden sharp intake of breath behind him made him turn around. The lockpick was crouched, motionless, he seemed to be clasping the skeletal hand.

"Ay, you find som-"

The lockpick fell backwards pulling the skeleton with him, the large man shined the latern on the two and went pale.

The lockpick was not holding the skeleton, it was holding him, or rather it's hand had sunk into the flesh of the bandit. The large man began to cry and tell skeleton's head began to rise setting it's hollow gaze on him. His scream had barely escaped his throat before it was cut off, the lantern crashed to the ground and it's weak flame was snuffed out.

Uriko's skill with riding a horse was limited to the open fields. Racing the the city was a challenge. He fought with creature to get it to do what he wanted in an effort to keep up with the agile Mr. Snuggles. The horse barely leaped over a stand full of fresh produce and knocked it over. Fruits and vegetables scattered the streets, adding to the confusion.

Suddenly a thick black cloud of smoke engulfed the area around him. The horse he was riding bucked then rose up in fear and surprise. Uriko lost his grip of the reins and fell off. His fall was cushioned by a bush. "You're in so much trouble Kid!" One of the guards said as he grabbed the boys arm.

Uriko attempted to pry his arm away but the man had a vice grip on him. Agitated, Uriko smashed the top of his head against the mans face. The man released the boy and grabbed his nose shouting profanities the child did not understand. Uriko then ran through the smoke to escape the guards.

Meanwhile, Uriko was picked up by its scruff and flung into the air. "No fighting, child." The dog said as Uriko landed on its back. As the guards looked into its 12 eyes only seen by its glow within the smoke, they were rightfully filled with the most fear they ever had and ran off, stumbling on each other. The dog was stopped in its tracks as the horse Uriko was riding on was taken away and them surrounded by Elven Guards. The horses were insanely spooked by the dog and refused to get any closer, so the guards got off and came closer. Amongst them was a Paladin, brimming with Holy Magic. "You attacked my men. You're now a hostile, boy." Very thick armor, a lance, a shield.

Lucien Lacroix
Frozen Plains

He laid in the snow, watching the battle from afar. Draped on his back was the pelt of a white wolf, so that he may blend into the snow. As the divine light lit the sky, he, the man who calls himself Lucien Lacroix, felt the burn even from afar. When the light erupted into a grand explosion, he clung to the ground, lest he be blasted away. He considered himself fortunate, fortunate that he was not close enough to be obliterated along with the undead. To think that the elves had something so powerful on their side... The orcs would undoubtedly want to hear this.

It happened about a month ago, when Lucien wondered into he orcish territory unknowingly. The orcs attacked him on sight and they seemed to be on edge for some reason, a reason that Lucien only found out later to be a brewing war. Lucien, never one to back down from a transgression took them on, killing about twenty of them, and he'd keep going too had it not been his draining mana supply. The orcs were tough fellows who simply won't go down with one or two strikes, and theirs skulls were tough and hard to pierces without raising the density of his barrier lances. Having to fight them quickly burned through the mana supply of his famished and fatigued body, and he was quick to realize the he could not keep this up. And so, for the first time in a long while, he spoke up, and with a coarse voice he managed to explain his situation and negotiated a deal with the orcs. That was how Lucien came to work for the orcs. They gave him the much needed food in exchange for service and he bonded with them in their mutual respect for strength and their distaste for the snobbish elves.

At present, Lucien had been sent to scout out an enemy camp, perhaps due to him being disposable, or perhaps they believe that him being a human would make it easier for him to move about, either way, it mattered not to Lucien. He was not there to make friends, and he prefer to keep the relationship business only, no matter how much he gets along with them.

Having witness the battle with the undead horde that came out of nowhere, the use of magic he did not recognize, and a powerful holy magic, Lucien was about to return to the orcs. They will be glad to head about this, that the elves wasted what is perhaps their most powerful weapon on something that wasn't them, and that perhaps now would be a good time to launch an assault. However, just as he rose up from the snow, his ears detected footsteps in the snow...

(The orcs are just another people. Not good and not evil. Own culture and customs. You got that part right. What you didn't get right was them somehow letting him live or reasoning with him after he killed 20 of them. No way, but I won't have you edit it since that wasn't exactly written down yet)

(On the other hand, what happened was pretty much a Holy Nuke. That includes the fallout being holy as well. Your character is relatively very close to the camp. I'm not gonna make your character die or deathly sick from being that close. Your character's magic though is disabled. Whether or not he knows that is up to you, but until he leaves the radius, pretty much getting back to the orcs, him and every other being weak to Holy magic that's not a weakling overall can't use ANY magic within 1 mile of the camp. This effect pretty much lasts for 24 hours from the final explosion. No Dark Magic in general and no magic period from someone who's weak to Holy Magic.)

With the effects from Foresight still not worn off, she spotted the guy in the snow trying to hide. "We have an intruder!" she exclaimed, getting into a fighting stance by drawing her dagger, a clumsy one. She couldn't fight. She knew it as her crystal glowed. She was about to contact someone who could fight. Avery or Alison, who would promptly slaughter the intruder. Still, she was gonna at least try if she had to. Her trap spells would be deadly if applied to her weapon, which effectively turned it enchanted for a couple of hits. So couldn't use it, but no one should underestimate her too much.

(Well, I suppose killing twenty and then just skipping to some sort of reconciliation was too much. What if I make it so that Lucien explained to them that it was a mistake and he was just as surprised as they are when he was attacked, and then offered his service to atone for the lives he took? Could that work?)

Lucien took a glance at the approaching enemy scouts, one elf and what seems to be a human. Taking care of them would be a simple task, or so he thought, but when he began constructing his barriers, he realized that his magic would not take form. In fact, he couldn't feel his magic at all, as if a limb had suddenly been taken from him. It must have been that holy magic, it was much more powerful than he had realize.

"Shit." he cursed beneath his breath.

He didn't like it, he didn't like it one bit, he would have preferred to simply obliterate them the instant they saw him. However, choice was not a luxury he has at the moment, now that he had been reduced to but a powerless meatbag, a fact a irked him more than he already was. Lucien scuffled off the ground and began dashing away, heading for the nearby forest to seek cover from the trees.

Evelyn gave chase. "You won't get away!" she yelled as she jumped easily through the trees. She couldn't fight, but she could definitely move. She cursed her lack of Offensive Magic and uselessness with a bow. She wished Ari would give her a crossbow. It would be a hell of a lot easier than a draw bow to shoot him down. Still, she could outmaneuver him easily in trees. She WAS a Wood Elf so even in foreign territory, she was more at home than even some of the Orcs who lived in this country.

"Avery! Come quick! We have an intruder, probably trying to go to the Orcs!"

Avery was around the camp when he got the message. "Right. On my way dear........" Avery took off. Avery was the one who stood up to the Dark Beast's devastating attack. He'd demolish this guy upon arriving and, being a mystic capable of telekinesis, his chances of escape were pretty slim. It was either shake Evelyn right here right now, or come face to face with Avery soon.

She pointed at places on the ground and her eyes flashed blue. With each one, a blue electric rune appeared. Touching it would stun him with a big electric explosion. The intent wasn't to actually catch him by having him touch a trap, as much as was to get him to watch his step. One slip up would stun one. Having to watch his step would slow him down anyways. To her, it was a win-win. She held her dagger at the ready to throw. She only got one shot............wait. There were crossbow bolts in her pocket. Oh yea, Ari was teaching her to use a crossbow. She just didn't have one right now. She made a mental note to ask Ari to being her a hand crossbow back, similar to the one he had. For right now though, she needed them even though she didn't have a crossbow to put them in and shoot. They could, however, be tossed to hit him directly with a trap spell to immobilize him. She had 3 of them. She whipped out of her pocket and threw one at his legs with a grunt of effort. "Stun Trap!" she said. A blue magic circle appeared around the bolt as it flew towards his moving torso. Nonlethal, but instant immobilization if it hit

Frozen Plains

As Lucien ran, he noticed the gathering of magic on the ground. He recognized them as runic magic, set to trigger upon contact. Easily, he leaped over one, only to find more being created before him.

"At this range......"

It's not normal for runic magic to be cast over a long range, and neither does he know anyone who does that. He kept running as he leaps over one trap after another, his mind turning rapidly to find a way out of his predicament. Behind him, he began to notice the sounds of shaking branches, and knew someone was keeping up with him, which explains the runes appearing all over the place.

Suddenly, Lucien stopped, the runes weren't too much of a problem for him, despite his inability to wield his own magic, he could still see the formation of others, however, if he had to keep jumping over them as he ran, he'd either run out of stamina before long or make a mistake somewhere down the line and step onto one of the traps by accident, he decided that he had to take out the caster.

He turned to face his pursuer and note that it was the small elf from before, the human woman was nowhere to be seen, likely being left behind. He was surprised that the girl, with her short stature could be as fast, perhaps even faster than he is at full sprint, but quickly inferred that it must be one of the elven trait. He sees her flinging a bolt at her and by the magic surrounding it, it would be unwise to have it land on its target.

Lucien pulled the wolf pelt off his shoulder and swatted the bolt away, it was not a weapon made to be thrown by and and thus it flew slowly enough that Lucien could react to it.

"Is that all you've got, child!" he taunted.

Lucien held his pelt by his side, a makeshift shield, for he was completely and utterly unarmed and wore only his tatter clothes beneath the fur pelt, believing more in his magic than the crude tools, however, he's regretting that slightly at this point. However, even so, Lucien was confident that he could beat her. Her speed had left her companion behind so it will be a one-on-one fight, and though she seemed proficient in magic, from the magic she had used up to this point, Lucien doubted that she had any direct offensive spells. Not to mention, Lucien was bigger than her, granting him longer reach, he was confident that he stood a chance, only if she got down from her tree.
