Fantasy The Calm After War (Always Open and Accepting)

(First, I wasn't talking to you, second the /s means what I'm saying before that /s is sarcasm. I meant it in a sarcastic way, I wasn't trying to sound passive aggressive, i don't even know how that could be taken as what I said as passive aggressive)

(It doesn’t matter if you were talking to me. I’m the GM, I don’t want passive aggression in my thread. Even if it was sarcasm it’s still rude and unnecessary, being polite isn’t all that difficult. I think it’s pretty easy to see that as passive aggressive, especially if you aren’t boned up on your obscure symbols that barely anyone would know.)

(So wait what do I do lol I’m kinda hopped up on cold medicine and have been for five days straight so I’m not too good at thinking)

Ryan nodded and smiled at her. “We’ll be okay as long as we stick together! I know it.” Even though they fought a lot, Willow was his absolute best friend. He adored her and admired her in many ways, even if they didn’t always get along.
(You need to be asleep or something if you're doped up on cold medicine.)

Willow Waesmor
Castle Room

"Let's head out Uriko. I'm ready to see Daddy," Willow said, clutching the makeshift dagger he gave her. With Ryan by her side, things would be fine. They'd all be fine when they reached the camp where their parent were. The path to the camp was unknown, but perhaps they could follow the troops moving to Frozen Plains to make things a lot easier. While the group took a portal, she could sense Ari's magic and presence from pretty much anywhere. That along with the fact that they weren't even subtle about where they were going put a name to a place.

(smh ignoring Darian's introduction post /s)
(Calm down. It's not like posted Ari ignoring him. In fact, I didn't post Ari at all, so you couldn't have been ignored.)
"Well. If those fellows will handle that, I'll come over and properly introduce myself." Darian said, his voice again speaking through the cat. After saying that, Darian opened his eyes and stood up. From the border of the camp where he was approached Darian walked over to the border of camp where his familiar was. As he got close, he walked out from in between the trees and stood in front of the man who hired him and held out his hand for a handshake. "I call myself Loreseeker, but my birth name is Darian. I was given no surname and have taken up the surname Kingsley which was my late master's. As I said before, I am a mage who focuses in offensive magic though I know some defense and utility spells. The cat here is my familiar Leywin."
Ari Waesmor
Frozen Plains Forward Camp

Ari shook his hand. "Good to meet you, Darian. Ari Waesmor, the Black Assassin. Over 800 and counting. Daggers and bows. Assassination and Archery at your service." he said with a smile. "Psion, teacher, father, mentor, master, employer, trainer, husband, captain, temporary sergeant in this army, God Contractor, Wind Dancer, Shadow Rose, blah de blah." Ari had accumulated plenty of names and titles over his life thus far. He was incredibly well known by most. He wasn't expecting to be recognized or anything, but why not a full introduction? "The familiar you saw fly off is Misty. I have 2 more at my call. I love a good fight and a good war. This'll be my 3rd one. That's the cliffnotes of me."

(Let's purge the sodium from the thread. Paint wasn't lying about being a GM. Me and Paint are both GMs.)

(Illuminati, no more passive aggression since I didn't post with Ari at all. Paint, well we have PM. No cold medicine fueled sodium)

"I'm sure Daddy would like to see us," Willow said resolutely. "I'm willing to take punishment to see him again." Due to the nature of his kids as well as Arabelle's pleading and whatnot, Ari didn't often punish his kids...........However, harsh was an understatement to the punishment Ari dished out when he was pushed to that limit. He was raising them on respect and accountability, an extreme tough love approach Knowing that and still willing to take it was a testament to just how bad Willow wanted to see her daddy. She would see him by any means necessary. Plus, knowing Uriko, he would leave regardless. Alison wouldn't be all that appreciative of Uriko sneaking out. Ari would be a hell of a lot less pleased than even a pissed off concerned Alison. "Would you rather sit here in this castle for however long? They could be gone for weeks!"

Ari Waesmor

"Aye, I'll get you a book before we actually start fighting. Don't ask my methods." Ari said with a small nod. He looked back towards the castle and pointed. His trusty owl griffin flew out and landed on his shoulder. "You call, master?"
"Misty, dear, I need you to go get me a spellbook called Lightning's Wrath."
"With pleasure!" Misty took off, spreading her wings and was out of sight within about 15 seconds.

Evelyn

Frozen Plains Forward Camp

Evelyn nodded. She was thrown off by a platoon of zombies lumbering towards them. The zombies weren't close enough to the camp to attack. As they lumbered forward, it activated Evelyn's Explosive Runes, blasting a lot of them to pieces immediately. The decomposition of zombies made this a lot easier to do. "WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!!" she screamed loud enough for the entire camp to hear.
Ari looked over to Evelyn upon hearing her voice and pulled out his bow upon seeing the enemies in question. Notching it, he took aim. He had a clear shot between him and the entire undead group. "Take a look Ozzy, at the potential of your spell. Here's my version. Divide and Conquer." A magic circle appeared on the tip of the arrow. When he released, it shot off hundreds, just like Ozzy's spell. They were all glowing purple with Psychic energy though. A fairly well-known signature Ari spell alongside Stillpiercer. The spell absolutely shredded the zombies with ease. "Fucking amateurs. I guess we know who the orcs hired to take us on. Doesn't bode well for them." These zombies were dealing with highly trained warriors, not innocent defenseless civilians. Good luck even getting close to a military camp. Even if they got close, they wouldn't even be able to bite the soldiers in the frontlines due to their armor. Now with the entire camp on high alert, they wouldn't even be able to make it halfway before getting seen next time.

As Ari notched another arrow to his bow, a hand was placed on his shoulder. "Thank you Mr. Waesmor. We'll take it from here," the Elven Infantry commander said as they charged to the frontlines ready to confront the knight, the paladins and templars armed with strong Holy Weaponry. This knight stood no chance. To take down even one soldier would be a huge stroke of luck. Was this the orc's opening play?

“Zombies.....something a child vampire could kill...” picking bailey up Raven started walking towards them, whistling as he glanced back at Luna and winked at her. “Play me a tune would you my dear...” Grinning as Luna summoned the violin. Playing a more perfected version of the one her father played. This time only one circle appearing, a rather large one at that. An arm the size of a mans entire body reaching out as the demon pulled itself from the void. Hunched over using its knuckles for support like a gorilla as it roared, holding its ground to defend Luna. Laughing, Raven with a crooked smile as he danced through the zombies, not getting touched so far he stopped in the middle of the horde. “Come to daddy...” resting Barnett on his shoulders as it absorbed the residual magic left from Evelyn’s explosive runes, waiting for the zombies to group on him.

Seeing the man run into the middle of what was left of the horde caused the remaining zombies to converge arms out stretched ready to rip the flesh from his bones. One zombie that was quite fat and covered in large blisters lurched forward before vomiting a stream of steaming green goo, the same color as the blisters, towards the vampire but missed and landed beside him eating a hole in the ground. It then started to gurgling wound before it spewed out another stream. It wasn't the only one of it's kind either as more gurgling could be heard through the moans of the zombies. Farther ahead was the knight, it was battered and missing quite a few parts the biggest bringing an arn and half it's face. A foul black liquid seeped from it's wounds as it looked at it's foes. "I won't be killed......at least" It looked up an evil smile in it's place " not without taking a few of you with me. Black Blood Bomb!" It shouted as it condensed as much energy with in it as it could to fule the spell. Then it exploded in a giant cloud of bloody mist, and a toxic stench filled the air.

Bailey O'Connor
Frozen Plains Forward Camp
"Milady, get up, we're under attack!"

"Hmm?"

"We're under attack!"

Bailey shot up from her cot, a small wince could been seen on her face she she did, but her back wasn't the problem. "The Orcs?" She questioned, getting her weapons. Bailey had to quickly get her breastplate on.

"Maybe, it's an army of undead. And we know the Orcs aren't really fond of dark magic, especially this much."

"Undead? Like, walking corpses, the whole nine yard?"

"Yes ma'am."

Bailey sighed, "It's literally nothing normal when it comes to us. Geez," She muttered, running a hand through her hair, before she grabbed her weapons.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"It doesn't matter,"She said, large shadowy figures forming beside her as she exited her tent. Who could forget the wolves? Looking at them, she gave them each a nod, before they all ran in separate directions. Fang was heading for the zombies, to keep stragglers away from the front lines. Sapphire was off to find Ari and whoever he was with, and her newest Direwolf, Taji, was off to find Tyr. Bailey took a moment to observe the hoard from a distance, before she started off in the direction Sapphire went as she cadet who awoke her returned to their station.

However, she had to stop in her tracks, and quickly pull something over the lower half of her face. Seconds later, the faint scent of blood with the feeling of dark magic filled the air. This was defiantly something new. Kylesar1 Kylesar1 Safety Hammer Safety Hammer (I'm kinda lost)

The O'Connor Kids
Castle
"Wait, where are you going?" If those two, or three? really through that they could sneak out with out one, if not all, of the other kids finding out, that was just rude. Why wouldn't the best unofficial cousins in the world find out, and not offer to help? Or come along cause they all really wanted to see their mom. There were only so many of Tyr's dad jokes you can take before you need to see your mom. And Alex, Scarlett, and Tyler just spent a while week with him.

"We wanna come!"

"Yeah, can we come? It's gonna be boring here, and nobody wants to play with us."

"Hey, wait, guys I'm getting to....never mind," Alex was about to explain about how he wanted to try and talk the other twin out of giinf, but remember that one; they were demi gods. And two; Scarlett the the worst temper tantrums, and would probably break everything he owned. And that was bad. Plus, two six year olds, and a little weird child well...thay was a recipe for disaster. "Willow, I'll ruin the surprise if you don't let us come with you," Alex paused, "Also, we know where they are, Scarlett took a map from mom, it has some of the military stuff on it."

"Bubby, Mommy gave it to me."

"Don't tell me that, I need to have deniability!"

"Master! Protect!" Chloe put a shield around Ari to protect against the effects of the toxins.
"Clerics! Purify the air before people get sick!" Ari yelled out. A ball of white light floated in the air, then dispersed, which cleared up the mist immediately. An army could do that with no problems. With everything cleared up and the knight gone, there were now the zombies to deal with.

Ari had taken control of things while Bailey was gone. Him commanding units in 2 wars before this one made him far more qualified than pretty much anyone else here in Bailey's absence. His quick mind allowed them to act fast without having to think too much. "Infantry, fall back!" Ari called out, not having seen Bailey come out. "We need Archers and mages. Get the clerics up there to banish those things and decon anyone hit with the acid." With those big gurglers spitting out acid, the infantry could dodge, but there's no need to risk death. They fell back to stand right in front of mid-range mages. Those who needed to be heal fell out and went to the side to get decontaminated and healed, which wasn't much considering that the zombies would have to bite somewhere the acid burned off, thus improbable even with acid for them to still get bit.

Ari drew his bow. "Evelyn, I need you to place a trap on this arrow. Explosive Rune. Low Ordinance."
Evelyn was sort of confused. "I don't know if my-"
"Just do it Evelyn. Sticks to the surface. If something touches it, it goes off. The arrow is a surface. Look alive!"
She jumped up and ran over, touching her hand to the arrow. The familiar runes glowed a bit on the arrow before disappearing from view. "Alright........" Ari fired the bow. It flew past the mages and hit the gugler in the stomach, then the arrow glowed white and exploded. Since it was Low Ordinance, the explosion was focused inside the zombie. It pretty much destroyed all of the inside of the zombie, taking it down without the danger of friendly fire to Raven.

She cocked her head in confusion. "De......nia......whaty?............" A pretty big word for a 6 year old. That word took precedence over everything else Alex had said. She couldn't even pronounce it, let alone try to decipher its meaning. "If you want to come, you can." she said. Alex was talking to a 6 year old. He didn't have to do much to convince them, especially not try to trick them. "As long as we all stick together." Willow wouldn't be able to read a map. Too many symbols and not enough vocabulary amassed to know what even a quarter of it meant. If Alex knew the way, since he was the oldest, he would obviously be in charge here. She just wanted to get going. The more they waited, the more time it kept them away from their parents. They had to get there before it hit nightfall. That would severely complicate things.

He would eventually make his way up to the mages. Having been lost in thoughts for an oddly long period of time. Making sure to take note of where raven was before letting out a torrent of flames towards a few gugler. Making sure to take out the ones on the outer part of the pack so any explosion from the mix of flames and acid would destroy only more zombies without doing much if any friendly fire. Taking a moment as he coughs and holds his throat right after the flame. Drawing his spear as he waits for any possible charges.

"Well, looks like this will be the first battle I participate in in this war." Darian said to himself, looking towards the battle and its current situation. Darian summoned his staff Lorekeeper and ran towards the other mages. 'Seems like a large area spell would be best...' Darian closed his eyes and magical energies began to collect around the crystal contained in his staff. The magical energies began to form into a red magical circle. Darian opened his eyes and at the same moment the magical circle completed. "DRAGON'S FURY" As Darian shout out the spell name, a large flame in the shape of a dragon's head appeared and flew towards a rather large portion of the zombies left and exploded as it contacted the ground

The zombies where taking heavy damage from all sides and the hordes numbers had decreased quite a bit but zombies aren't smart and don't give up. The horde stayed to deal with the one foe in it's center while gurglers kept the archers and mages busy with constant vollys of acid but afew of the normal looking zombies stopped and the screamed as the began to dig quickly into the ground in just a few moments a few were already underground while others where either only just starting or only half way under.

She was imagining that she was dancing with him on that field. The magic was starting to amplify as she danced. She was charging up for something BIG. Elaina was an absolute nuke on the battlefield. Meanwhile, Ari was focusing on the gurglers, as they were the biggest threat to the Archers and Mages. A few had already fallen and were being deconned before the acid consumed them. Unlike the infantry, they were all unarmored, so an acid attack would cause massive damage. The downside was that this went both ways. For every gurgler exploded, it sprayed its acid on other zombies which melted them as well. This was the biggest cause of loss in the zombie horde. All clustered together, this made the zombies easy to kill. They were basically powder kegs. "Evelyn. There's something around here that allows him to see this fight. It's too coordinated for this to be just mindless zombies. Find it for me and destroy it, will you?"

Avery much preferred the Order of the Avatar or Order of the Awakened, which put him more in tune with emotions and let him fight with his psychic as psychological attacks, but most zombies don't have minds do they? Plus, he didn't really like his natural body. Didn't appeal to the one(s) he loved the most, and he could manipulate any enemy he wanted just by appealing to them. What better way than a sexy woman

"I hope you get enough sleep Arabelle, because the proceedings have begun and everyone is out fighting now." Avery would join the moment Arabelle woke up

“Ari I need you to do me a favor.....” Dodging the acid as he cut some them down, the zombies bites wouldn’t do much but even Raven wasn’t resistant to that, moving back away from them, careful enough to avoid the holy ground. “Can the mages hit me with as much magic as they can spare? If these get in close that acid would decimate the ground troupes “ pulling Baomet off his back he got it ready to take the blows for him. “I’m sure because of the Assassin you know what my scythe does...but let me show you why I didn’t use it in our fight...or rather why I couldn’t...” trailing off a bit at the end

Dan was watching all this go down with a smile. "What interesting toys. I wonder how the'll react to this?" He focused his will on the destroyed zombies and thought of the form he wished it to take. "Corpse molder." The bodies seemed to liquefy and flow together to form a ball of flesh and protruding bone, covered in eyes and mouths. It floated there lifeless for a moment until he cast another spell. "Create Greater Horror." The thing sprang to life with a scream filled with agony, hunger, and wrath. "Go my pretty, kill until you satisfied." It saw the girl with the massive holy aura and focused on her. Hundreds of mouths opened and spoke the same spell. "Death Bolt!" a black bolt the size of a mans fist flew out and towards the girl.

"Mages! Aim for the vampire! No Holy spells!" Ari called out as Raven asked, as he shot another bolt to take down another Gurgler. "I hope you have a plan for this Rook." If this didn't succeed, it'd have the zombies closing the gap significantly as all magic firepower was being redirected to him. A bit of complications came, however, when it formed into a bigger beast. All the mages followed their orders though and directed their spells to Raven. The clerics, however, kept their spells hitting the dark beast.

The Death Bolt Spell was countered with a different purple bolt while still over a cluster of zombies. The explosion killed off a massive amount of the zombie force now, making this thing and the gurglers really the only threats now. "Not now, monster. You're outmatched in every way against an army." Avery walked over to where Elaina was, his eyes glowing purple. "You're dealing with a higher power, dark beast. Psionics at its finest." he said with a smile. He crackled with purple sparks. These sparks extended to the 4 swords that he floated around with telekinesis. He just had to buy some time. "Ari, hon. I need you to do something for me. Can't say it aloud though." Ari simply nodded as he shot a bolt into the dark beast's stomach. The explosion blasted a small hole in the dark creature

Elaina continued her dance uninterrupted. A white circle appeared around her, blinding any who tried to look at Elaina. It completely obscured her from view. The Sanctified grounds as well began to glow, which would burn the dark beast.

Evelyn, meanwhile, was closer to the camp. "Foresight!" A blue circle spread out all around Evelyn as far she she could see. It was harmless to anyone it enveloped. She could now see every living being in that circle, including behind cover and invisble, as well as spirits and magic signatures. This allowed her to see the watchful eye. "Sergeant! I've found it!" she yelled out. She whipped out her dagger and stabbed it.

Avery

Frozen Plains Forward Camp- Avery's Tent

"Ohhhh, Sleeping beauty awakens," Avery said with a chuckle. He floated some armor over and began putting it all on. "Well we're getting attacked by zombies and whatnot. Everyone's out fighting. I stayed behind to watch you and make sure your mind had no adverse effects from my spell."
He changed his hair color and grabbed his gear. "Time to go unleash hell......." Avery said with a sigh, sheathing a dagger on his waist and swords on his back. "I don't like fighting, but Ari's in danger.......Order of the Immortal." Avery wasn't wearing much and a bunch of purple tattoos suddenly came into view. He wasn't a swordsman, but these swords weren't for him to be fighting with directly. "I haven't been back in my natural body for ages." This was how he actually looked. No alterations, normal clothes, etc.

"Alright Arabelle. Let's head on out to the fight. Husbando is in danger." he said with a smile. He wasn't worried at all about this fight.

Arabelle sat up and just tried to collect her thoughts, just thinking about what to do once they got into battle. She had her swords on her hip, so she pulled them out. She didn't have her armor, but she was still ready to fight. She took a deep breath and stood up, looking at the blades and then at Avery, nodding. She trusted him more now since he helped her and din't sabotage anything.

Darian was immersed in casting Dragon's Fury, and was knocked out of focus upon sensing the immense amount of holy magical energy being charged up for a spell. He stared in awe, due to the fact that he had never seen a spell from the holy school of magic that required that much magical energy to be charged up to cast it. While he was focused on the spell that was being charged up, he tuned out everything else. He snapped back into reality as he sensed a spell with a very evil energy to it being cast. He saw the spell clash with another and explode. Darian aimed his staff at the amalgamation of flesh and bone. A large red magic circle appeared above the monstrosity, another magical circle, this one brown appeared below it. The two magic circles jolted together and completely fused. The resulting magic circle was extremely complex. The spell finished charging, and Darian shouted out. "STAR FALL!" and from the magic circle a large flaming boulder appeared and fell towards the monstrosity and crashed into it.

Frozen mountain camp

Selra had no idea what had happened. The last thing she remembered was Ari telling her something. Next thing she knew she had woken up as though it were from slumber. But one thing seemed to catch off guard as she sniffed and the sword began to give off more power. She had no idea why but the smell of rotting flesh seemed to make her and the sword go nuts. Then she said something as she walked out. "It's almost like the pigs just decided to walk to the butcher." She said in a tone she did not recognize as her body reflexively pulled the dark blade and sliced a nearby zombie in two. What little life was in it seemed to dissapear the moment the blade made contact with it. "Oi whoever has a good idea of whats going on fill me in now!" She shouted to anyone nearby. Hoping for an answer from someone.

Ari heard Selra scream, but he was nowhere near her. Telepathy, baby. Oi....... You, Arabelle, and Bailey had quite the nap. This right now is a zombie attack. The orcs apparently hired a necromancer to attack us, Ari told her in Telepathy. He sensed a darker presence in the telepathic line coming from Selra. I can't have you losing control, Selra. Too many friendlies around, so watch yourself. Stay away from Elaina as well or you'll die. Her going berserk was NOT what they needed right now. Selra could feel Elaina's immense Holy Magic from where she was. It wouldn't affect her unless she touched Elaina's white bubble, where she would release some Holy Magic and die immediately. This bigass thing here is annoying and the acid-spitters aren't helping our case. Feel free to chime in. Just heed my warnings.

"The one thing this blade is good at is killing Zombies. And the blade is screaming at me to end them. Can I assume you have the big guy? Or can I deal with him? Actually fuck that I'll kill them all and send them back to hell. Good plan great plan. Just tell her holiness to stay the hell away from me while I'm doing my job." With that Selra ended the communication and locked her sight on the spitters. "So many little piggies to kill." With that she began fighting her way through the zombies. Spitters still in sight.
