Fantasy The Calm After War (Always Open and Accepting)

Dan cursed as he watched his horror be pirced by the psionic attack and a Star fall and even louder when his sight cut from the glorious battle back to his tower. "NOOOOO!" He screamed as he let his powers run wild destroying the furniture in his room.

(Back at the battle)
Without a commander the zombies fell into chaos scattering around and attacking any living thing. The horror was the only thing with enough smarts to at least priorities targets. In many raspy voices it spoke. "I will kill you, the mage and the girl at once." It then began to bombard all three with hundreds of random spells from fireballs and lightning to death bolts and rotting words. One a mouth finished one spell it started another, but even it's wrath could not hide it's growing panic.

Ari & Elaina Waesmor
Frozen Plains Forward Camp

Selra was coming. A straight up March to her death. Elaina was too far in to stop, had too much Holy Magic stored in. It would kill her if she tried to contain it for an extended period of time. Elaina was ready to go.
"Elaina!" Ari called out. While he couldn't see her, he could feel that she was looking at him.
"End this."

She stopped dancing and spun her staff. "The cleanser of all things Unholy........

Ari dashed in and grabbed Raven and his daughter's arm. With a burst of telekinetic force, he threw them away. "Grant me the power to do your will........." Clouds started gathering around them overhead.

"CLEAR THE FUCK OUT!!! ALL OF YOU!" Ari yelled at the top of his lungs. He grabbed Chloe and held her close, as well as Evelyn's arm and hauled ass away from the magic circle along with the rest of the infantry and mages. "Let the strength of your resolve bring an end to all that's malevolent........."
Holy fuck! Ari recognized that those words of power. Elaina was going massively overboard. This wasn't a sledgehammer to kill a fly. This was driving the car into the house to kill the fly. "SHIELDS UP GODDAMNIT!!! ALL OF THEM!!" Ari was hysterical right now, which only ever happened when shit was about to go down.

"Radiance........" The clouds parted and an ENORMOUS white ball was what was there. The ball then grew and grew. It then reached the point where it could touch Elaina's hand. When it did, In a blinding flash of white light, the ball exploded, the magnitude of which gave her the title of the nuke of the battlefield.

Everything around them, with the exception of the sanctified grounds, was vaporized. Any being that didn't use holy magic or projected a very powerful shield was also vaporized. This spell destroyed the dark beast, and every zombie for the next mile radius just from the fallout residue.

If it weren't for the fact that the entirety of the camp was on sanctified grounds, it would've been destroyed without a trace.........

Elaina fainted after the spell dispersed. It would take her a full week to get back to full holy magic, and would take her 24 hours to wake up. She was out of the fight now, but decimated the enemy. Completely and utterly. No soul no body. Nothing.

The shields that the ENTIRE ARMY put up shattered when Elaina fainted at the spell's end. It was put up to protect Dark Magic users

All dark magic as of right now was completely unusable, the influence wiped for 24 hours. They'd have to move away from this area to use Dark Magic

Xonrot
He looked over quickly as he heard the shouting. His eyes widening as he hunches over behind a few of the mages as they put up their shields. Half relying on them to help protect himself along with his natural resistance to magic from his bloodline. The blast not quite obliterating him due to both of the shielding he had...Though he would be knocked cold as energies leaked through to him every once in a while. The worse that happened to him luckily being a slight burn on his arms from the sheer energy of the explosion. His spear glowing brilliantly for a moment as it absorbed some of the holy energy into its runes before dimming as it aborted such a move to avoid self destruction.

@...Not sure who else to tag there.

Raven stood stood watching the explosion go off from inside Luna’s barrier. He had Baumet planted in the ground to absorb the blast that had come towards the two of them. Absorbing the magical energy from it Raven watched with joy. “Now do we counter attack?” He yelled as he looked back at Luna who was breathing heavily, it took the both of them and wrath to maintain the barrier.

Selra had survived due to the sheer luck of not passing the shielders. Her blade however was not so good. Her one chance and now as far as she knew it was gone. At least that was what she had thought until she saw something. The blade sitting in the ground and while it wasn't flowing she somehow felt something in it. And it had retained it's coloration. "What in the hell just happened!?" Selra shouted as the realization of what Elaina did sunk in.

Bailey O'Connor & Herah Addar
Frozen Plains Forward Camp
If not for Herah, Bailey would have been seriously injured by Elania's spell. Bailey had just told the soldiers out of Ari's range what to do when Elania let loose, and seriously, if not for Herah, Bailey might have been impaired on various objects in her immediate area. Standing up, she looked around the camp, which whole now Zombie free, was well...if that spell tore through shields, imagine what it did to cloth, their supplies, and pretty much everything else. It looked like they had lost the battle rather than won.

"Bailey, are you alright?" Herah asked, glancing over her for any visable wounds.

"Yes I'm... I'm fine. Well, no. Actually, I'm not. We were already low on supplies and now...whay the hell was Elaina thinking?" Bailey said, all rather quickly as that wasn't even the first few items on her ever growing list if things to do. "Herah, gather who you can, and help the injured get to whatever healers are left standing. Once that's taken care of, find me. We'll need to gather any supplies that are left," Bailey said, "I have someone to yell at."

Herah nodded, "Yes ma'am," she said, before hurting off to help some people she already saw while Bailey was off to confront Ari. And by the way, she wasn't sure who she should be more mad at, Ari for letting Elania do this, or Elaina herself. She would have to decide later.

As she quickly walked, she took in the damage. There didn't seem to be any dead, which was good, but the number of injured was rather high. The spell really did a number on pretty much everything. Still, she wa having trouble deciding on who to be mad at. Sanctified or not, that didn't seem to really stop any destruction, and just, Bailey sighed. You know what, this wasn't even the most in nerveing thing that's eve happened.

"Ari!" Bailey shouted, her eyes falling upon her husband's friend, "What the fucking shit was that?!" Kylesar1 Kylesar1

(The shield held up the spell. Otherwise every non holy would've died. The camp shouldn't be all that damaged. I can go with this though.)

Ari was dazed by the spell. He had a screeching migraine and he swore he was going deaf. Everything in the camp was alright. The spell caused no casualties. "Fucking hell," he groaned. Bailey didn't exactly help with her screaming. Guess I gotta deal with this shit, he thought. "Before you murder me, just hear me out:"

"I didn't tell her to use that spell. I told her to sanctify the grounds. Her words of power are the same up until a certain point. At that point, It's too damn late. In her defense though, there were a lot of zombies, death knights, and acid spitters coming from as far as a mile. She did put an end to all enemy forces with minimal casualties. By conventional killing means, the corpses molded into the beast that just got stronger." Every zombie that they killed would just make the beast stronger. Ari surveyed the damage. Geez. "That is all Elaina, not me." Bailey wasn't even around this entire fight. She really had no idea the enemy that they just had to fight. Ari was just too ready to end the conversation. He was exhausted and Bailey didn't know the full context. He figured he'd just sit through her lecture then go about his business. Or she fires him or something. He didn't know and was too out of it mentally to care. The migraine prevented him from using his Psionics

Avery walked around. "Everyone that's hurt was hurt by zombies or the acid, not by the spell. Nothing irreplaceable or irreparable has been damaged. I can repair any armor or clothing

Ari sat down, rubbing his forehead. "All this can be replaced easily if not repaired. I do have an airship and a crew that's full of supplies I got here in Faylen. Don't ask how or why" Ari worked on the down low.

Frozen Plains Forward Camp- Avery's Tent

"Ohhhh, Sleeping beauty awakens," Avery said with a chuckle. He floated some armor over and began putting it all on. "Well we're getting attacked by zombies and whatnot. Everyone's out fighting. I stayed behind to watch you and make sure your mind had no adverse effects from my spell."
He changed his hair color and grabbed his gear. "Time to go unleash hell......." Avery said with a sigh, sheathing a dagger on his waist and swords on his back. "I don't like fighting, but Ari's in danger.......Order of the Immortal." Avery wasn't wearing much and a bunch of purple tattoos suddenly came into view. He wasn't a swordsman, but these swords weren't for him to be fighting with directly. "I haven't been back in my natural body for ages." This was how he actually looked. No alterations, normal clothes, etc.

Avery much preferred the Order of the Avatar or Order of the Awakened, which put him more in tune with emotions and let him fight with his psychic as psychological attacks, but most zombies don't have minds do they? Plus, he didn't really like his natural body. Didn't appeal to the one(s) he loved the most, and he could manipulate any enemy he wanted just by appealing to them. What better way than a sexy woman

"Alright Arabelle. Let's head on out to the fight. Husbando is in danger." he said with a smile. He wasn't worried at all about this fight.

(Wait, does Avery not know Tyr is bi? He should find out, and be like "OH MY GOD YES")
Tyr O'Connor
Tyr had been working out, exercising, trying to get his head straight. He had really fucked up with Bailey earlier. And that was bothering him to no end. Maybe if he just tried to get back to how he used to be, he could just join with the group and act like nothing had happened.. Maybe he could. He was just finishing another set of push-ups with one arm behind his back, when he heard something stirring from outside his tent. Putting a tank top, he walked outside only to be greeted by a zombie inches away from his face. Instinctively, he quickly kicked the draugr out of his face. He looked around for a weapon and found nothing. "Fuck fuck fuck fuck..." he thought, before looking back at the zombie. There was only one thing to do, I guess. He took one step back, cracked his knuckles, and sent a punch through the rotting corpse's head.

Arabelle had been just leaving Avery’s tent when the blast occurred. She had been knocked to the ground immediately and had hit her head on a rock, so she was bleeding on the side of her face a bit. She got up and ran over to Ari, putting her hand on his face. “Ari, are you alright?” She took his hands and kissed him, incredibly worried. “You must be exhausted, come rest. Please.”

"Wait, where are you going?" If those two, or three? really through that they could sneak out with out one, if not all, of the other kids finding out, that was just rude. Why wouldn't the best unofficial cousins in the world find out, and not offer to help? Or come along cause they all really wanted to see their mom. There were only so many of Tyr's dad jokes you can take before you need to see your mom. And Alex, Scarlett, and Tyler just spent a while week with him.

"We wanna come!"

"Yeah, can we come? It's gonna be boring here, and nobody wants to play with us."

"Hey, wait, guys I'm getting to....never mind," Alex was about to explain about how he wanted to try and talk the other twin out of giinf, but remember that one; they were demi gods. And two; Scarlett the the worst temper tantrums, and would probably break everything he owned. And that was bad. Plus, two six year olds, and a little weird child well...thay was a recipe for disaster. "Willow, I'll ruin the surprise if you don't let us come with you," Alex paused, "Also, we know where they are, Scarlett took a map from mom, it has some of the military stuff on it."

"Bubby, Mommy gave it to me."

"Don't tell me that, I need to have deniability!"
Willow Waesmor

Castle Room
She cocked her head in confusion. "De......nia......whaty?............" A pretty big word for a 6 year old. That word took precedence over everything else Alex had said. She couldn't even pronounce it, let alone try to decipher its meaning. "If you want to come, you can." she said. Alex was talking to a 6 year old. He didn't have to do much to convince them, especially not try to trick them. "As long as we all stick together." Willow wouldn't be able to read a map. Too many symbols and not enough vocabulary amassed to know what even a quarter of it meant. If Alex knew the way, since he was the oldest, he would obviously be in charge here. She just wanted to get going. The more they waited, the more time it kept them away from their parents. They had to get there before it hit nightfall. That would severely complicate things.
Ryan looked confused and tried to pronounce it as well. “De-nia-uh…uh…huh.” He was thoroughly confused and bit his lip. He looked up at Alex. “Do you know the way? I don’t want to get lost. That’s scary.”

Uriko - Castle Stables

The tanned skinned boy waited for the other children at the stables. Next to him, laid against the wall, were three unconscious elven soldiers. He twirled one of Allison's 'Disciplinary' maces around in his hands while he waited for the others. It had been a little over an hour since he gave them all his lecture on the law of the jungle and informed them to meet him her after grabbing their things. The love and desire to see their parents had been stronger than the thought of death. For Uriko he just wanted to get himself a hunting party.

He had three horses ready to go. The saddles were equipped as if Ari himself had done it. The boy may have only trained with the man for a week, but Ari demanded nothing less than perfection from Uriko. He heard a footsteps. Gripping the mace Uriko ducked behind a large crate, ready to knock out another unsuspecting guard.

The first child of his party had arrived...

Luna helped her father over to a log by one of the camp fires. Sitting down with him she held onto him so he wouldn’t fall over. “Luna I’m going to sleep for a while....your wards aren’t aren’t dark magic but I can’t fight until this is gone...” getting up using Baumet as a cane he dragged himself to his tent and climbed into his coffin. The coffin sealing itself from outside tampering. Luna looked to Bailey then to Ari. “Excuse me Miss Bailey, this might be a good time to check your injury more thoroughly since we have some breathing room for the moment” Luna asked with a bit of worry in her voice. If it got infected or if she were to engage in a high pace of combat there was a possibility of it getting worse.

She ran a hand through her hair, and sighed. "Alright, alright. Get whatever you can here quickly. My supply request have to go through the council, they're being ignored, and Lathbora Viran is already low as it is," She then gave him a stern look, "And no more stupid okay? That spell could have back fired, and then...actually, get some rest. I gotta go see if my maps survived, I want to end this fighting soon." With thoose weirdly concerned words, she turned around and left for the direction of what was once her tent. Hopefully, her more important things would be intact as she kinda need her maps. And pretty much everything else that was in her tent. But Luna stepped up, "I'm fine, really. It's okay," She said, waving the woman off. "Breathing room doesn't really exist around here." "Well now that that's done I can do some practice and try to learn that spell..." Darian says to himself as he walks over to a corner of the camp. He sat himself with his back against a tree and summoned his grimoire. He quickly flipped to a page about a spell called Static Shock. He began to read about the spell. 'The spell static shock is a beginner level lightning spell, which is a prerequisite to learn later spells such as lightning bolt. The main use of this spell is that it can slightly paralyze people with little to no lightning magic resistance. To cast the spell one should create a magic circle and begin to fill it with mana. The magic circle should contain the runes for Paralyze, Shock, Lightning, and Range. The spell's power is small and likewise the mana required to cast it is small. The spell's range is about five feet, give or take the quality of the magic circle.' Darian closed his grimoire and dismissed it. He stood up and turned around. Darian pointed his hand at the tree and began to concentrate and an electric blue magic circle began to be constructed in front of his hand. He created the runes for Shock, Lightning, Paralyze, and didn't completely construct the rune for range. Darian felt the spell reach the mana required to cast and he went to cast it. Instead of a small static bolt shooting out, the spell rebound, the lightning mana inside the magic circle exploded out and zapped Darian. "Ow! Fuck!" Darian shout in pain and frustration as he fell on his ass. He had been trying to learn this spell for the past few days and hasn't had luck with completely casting it. He was certain that he could cast the spell if he took out the range rune completely and cast it through his hand but that wouldn't help him learn the ranged spells that came after it.

"Uriko, you have to stop knocking out the guards. If you hit too hard, they could die," Willow said as she came forward, seemingly out of nowhere. She definitely didn't take one of the entrances. "If you don't hit hard enough, they might not fall. I can put them to sleep." They would have vicious nightmares where if they died in their dreams, they could die in real life, but death in sleep was a hell of a lot less alarming than beaten to death with a mace. Besides, if they were awakened before they died, they'd be fine.........just with amnesia of the moments before falling asleep. She had put 3 guards to sleep on their way to the stables. They were currently whimpering in their sleep, one of them awakened and duly punished for sleeping on duty while in times of war. It was

"I can't ride a horse. I have an animal though. Come on, Mr. Snuggles." A magic circle appeared and a big dog jumped out, one that didn't exactly scream snuggly with its 12 eyes and 3 empty leash loops. This thing probably crawled from the absolute deepest depths of Hell, and Willow was petting and kissing it like a normal domestic dog. "He's really nice."
"I can get a different one for Tyler,"

Ari walked over to her tent. "When will you just admit that as unorthodox as Waesmor methods tend to be, they actually work? I have no idea why you decided to put me in some position of command. Not a big one, but one nonetheless. It's obvious that to a degree, you trust me to get shit done when worse comes to worst." To Ari, it was seeming like Bailey calling his actions stupid was just someone afraid to admit that someone she couldn't stand was actually right. She could've easily made Ari subservient if he wanted to legally fight in the war, but she chose instead to give him command of his own unit. That wasn't an action of someone who really wanted to put someone in their place.

Misty came flying back with the book for the mage. "Here's the book, master. Lightning's Wrath."

Ari pet Misty. "I'm heading back to Faylen to get my ship and supplies down here. Your stupid council is trying to kill you, so I'll fuel this war effort. Whatever the hell you need, just call me up." Oh wait, Bailey's signature wasn't in his crystal. "Use Tyr's I guess."

"Look, it's not that I'm not admitting that your tactics font work, its just....ive worked really hard for this and I don't want it to go to waste because of us doing the same shit we did with Valerian and Khan, and the other actual threats to Rivanna. "Damn it, why is the rune for range in the lightning school of magic so weird looking?" Darian grumbled to himself as he stood up to once again try to cast the static shock spell. Darian again pointed his hand towards the tree. Much like last time a small electric blue magic circle appears in front of his hand. The magic circle forms from the outer ring towards the center. Like last time, the runes for Lightning, Paralyze, and Shock appear finely made. Darian then turns all of his attention to replicating the rune he saw in his grimoire. Just barely was it constructed with the rune being recognized as Range. The spell cast, with a small bolt of lightning struck out and hit the tree, leaving a small scorch on the tree. Seeing that he finally managed to cast the spell Darian through his hands up and shouted "FUCKING FINALLY! WOOOOOO!"

Dan was pissed, not only did they kill his watcher demon but that girl wiped out all his minions. Dan was currently standing in a large room filled with different ritual circles, a few of which were currently being used different twisted beings of unlife. He ignored them as he walked to a large black mirror surrounded by a dark red ritual circle "I need to find out who that girl is, if she can gather that much holy power then she's a threat." He walked up to the mirror and touched it with his hand and channeled his power into it. As he did it began to hum and vibrate before it started to swirl. Dan backed away as a woman appeared inside the mirror. She was short, blond, slinder, and wore a sundress but that didn't subtract from the fear she caused. She would be pretty if she didn't have shards of glass protruding from her at all angles. She looked at dan with her black orbs and smiled a broken glass smile, literally her teeth were broken glass. "What do I owe the pleasure of your company Black mage?" She said in a sweet crystal clear voice. "I need information Marry, on a girl. " She smiled even wider and laughed as she said "Has the big bad mage fallen for a fair maiden?" He growled as he looked at her "No, this girl is threat and I need help eliminating her, but I'm not going in there half assed this time I want you to use your power over the mirror world to try to keep an eye on her. You probably won't be able to get near them for a while though. The spell she was charging up for was probably strong enough to cleanse the land, but you could still watch from a distance until it wears off. While you do that I'll prepare an army, I'll need some living minions to help out with the priests. I'll get one of my spies to spread the word that I'm hirering anyone who doesn't mind spilling a little innocent blood." He proceeded to tell the mirror demon what the girl looked like and where the camp was. Marry listened and after he was done explaining she asked "As you wish master but may I ask a favor?" Dan was turning to leave but stopped as he heard her so he looked back and asked "What?" Marry answered at him with a bone chilling giggle. "May I have the girls body? I'd like somebody new to wear for special occasions." Dan walked away as he called back. "Of course." Marry laughed as she sank back into the mirror world.

"I can get a different one for Tyler,"
Willow said.
Ryan gasped when he saw “Mr. Snuggles” and started to cry. His holy magic was flaring up and he scrambled backwards. “I don’t like him, I don’t like him! Make him go away, Willow!”

Uriko - Elven Castle: Stables

"Ah HAHA!" Uriko laughed at from Willow's statement. "Uriko no kill. Only put to sleep. Safe safe." He hoisted himself up onto a crate next to one of the larger horses. He checked the saddle once more to ensure it was good to go. A cold shiver went down his spine when Willow summoned her hound. Slowly he turned to see the grotesque being sitting between Willow and Ryan. A look of uncertainty washed over his face. "Uh..." part of him was screaming to fight this abomination of nature, but it was Willow-ri's friend. Everything would be fine right?

"Ryan-ri!" Uriko said sharply. Kneeling down on his box Uriko place a hand on the timid boy's shoulder, "You no baby, yes?" He clasped his other hand into a fist between them as a sign of strength, "We man, man is warrior. Warriors carry no fear." Uriko than stood up on the crate pointing back to the castle, "Baby's stay. No room for cry baby."

Uriko attempted to give Ryan an encouraging speech. He needed Ryan to be brave. If he was going to whine and cry about everything, Ryan would not be coming with them.
