The Angel's Baby

Dean felt much better in a clean diaper and squirmed happily on the changing table, clumsily clapping his hands together.

Smiling brightly at Dean's clapping, Cas nodded as he picked up his baby boy. "Would you like to watch cartoons, Dean?" the angel asked.

Bringing Dean to the living room, and sitting the Winchester on the couch, Cas took the remote and played some cartoons he knew Dean would enjoy.

Shutting off the television, Cas looked out the window and sighed softly. "I'm sorry, Dean. But we can go outside tomorrow."

Frowning, Cas shushed Dean and wiped tears from beneath the younger's eyes. Dean's tantrum was understandable, he wanted to go outside and couldn't.

Kissing the dark blond's hair, Cas carried Dean to the nursery as he undressed his baby into a fluffy pair of footies with fire trucks on them.

Dean cried and fussed, as he was having pains in his tummy that wouldn't go away. He feels like he needs to poop, but can't.

Dean's cries just get louder, and he feels something dribbling into his diaper, but it's not urine. It's something much worse....blood.

Opening Dean's diaper and finding blood, Cas' eyes widened, as he had no idea what was happening. He had never seen or experienced this before, and the angel used his grace to make it better.

"What do I do?" the angel asked under his breath before getting some sort of idea. Getting some laxatives from the medicine cabinet, which could help the whole process significantly, Cas crushed them and put them in Dean's bottle, before rushing back to the nursery. Putting the teat in Dean's mouth, the angel hoped he'd drink it.

Dean fussed a bit, but managed to drink about half the bottle, eyes widening when his tummy started churning and gurgling.

Shushing Dean's cries, Cas changed the younger's diaper and felt relief. It seemed like most of the worst was over, and now Dean could get some sleep.

Giving Dean a teddy bear to cuddle with, a pacifier, and a blanket, Cas kissed the former hunter's forehead before leaving the nursery quietly. He remember to turn on the night light, so Dean wouldn't be afraid.

Cas entered the nursery and smiled brightly at seeing Dean's bedhead. "Good morning, little one," the angel rumbled as he picked up Dean from his crib, and changed and dressed him.
