The Angel's Baby

Making a surprised noise in his throat, Cas tilted his head when he felt Dean grab onto his coat. It seemed like he didn't want to let go, so Cas was stuck on the floor.

Seeing the diaper crinkle and expand from the fluid filling it, Cas managed to get Dean to lighten his grip as he grabbed the diaper supplies. Laying Dean down on his back, Cas unsnapped the Winchester's onesie before changing his diaper.

Despite Dean's giggles and squirms, Cas finally succeeded in changing the hunter's diaper. "You are very giggly, little one," the angel observed as he helped Dean sit up.

Titling his head to the side at Dean's action, Cas hesitantly copied it, patting his hands against the floor. He didn't understand what it meant, and supposed he should do the same.

The angel smiled also, before pulling Dean into his arms for a bit of cuddling. Hopefully he had done that right, Dean giggled loudly after all.

Soon Dean fell asleep, tired from his playtime, and Castiel kissed the younger's forehead before bringing Dean to the nursery. Putting a few blankets over the dark blond's frame, as it was a bit chilly in the house, Castiel also gave his baby a plushie to hold.

Dean rolled over in his sleep and fussed a bit, not wanting Castiel to leave him. He always felt safe with Cas by his side.

Pausing in the doorway at Dean's fusses, Castiel hesitated before coming back into the nursery and sitting in the rocking chair. It was right beside his baby's crib, and so the angel could watch as Dean slept, as he always had.

"Hello, Dean." the angel rumbled fondly as he scooped up the dark blond from his crib and changed Dean's diaper, finding it a bit wet.

Dean gurgled and grabbed at Cas' coat, gripping it tightly. He hadn't even noticed that he had wet his diaper, even though it was a bit warm.

Smiling softly at his little one, Cas scooped up Dean into his arms and carried the younger to the living room. It was midday, and soon lunch would be in order.

Sitting Dean in his highchair, with a teething toy to play with, Cas kissed the former hunter's cheek before starting to make lunch.

Dean gurgled softly and chewed on the teething toy, the squishy material an interesting feeling against his toothless gums. Looking over at Cas, Dean let out a happy squeal and drooled heavily, which collected in a puddle on his highchair tray.

Smiling warmly at Dean's squeal towards him, Cas finished making lunch before sitting in the chair beside Dean's and wiping the drool from his little one's face and tray. "Open up, little one," the angel cooed.

Dean was a bit fussy at first, but his growling tummy told him it was time to eat and he obeyed, opening his mouth to let Cas feed him.

And soon enough, Dean had eaten all of his food, and Cas smiled proudly as he kissed the younger's forehead. "You did a very good job, Dean." he praised as he wiped the mess from his baby's face and took him out of the highchair.

Knowing what just happened, Cas brought Dean back to the nursery and exchanged the soiled diaper for a new one.
