Fantasy The Academy _Dropped _

Opening his eyes to the sweet sound of a siren singing, Hide immediately recognized Dante's voice, he heads towards the singing, the sound piercing and painful to his enchanted hearing, without breaking a stride, he sprinted with a electrified body, seeing Dante flying above, tears stuck to his cheeks, immediately floating on flowers he flies up beside Dante, "Dante!" he shouts to the siren, he doesn't respond, seeing Dante wasn't going to shut up he creates a orb of flowers around them, the sound painfully shrieking in his ears, further amplified by the trapped environment he gently brings Dante into a hug.

Looking up at the clouding sky, a frown came across Masumi's face. It had been such a nice day, she was sure it would have stayed that way. Sighing she looks back over to Lilian. Instantly a smile returned to her face. "Yeah, me too." Getting up, and putting her shoes back on, she starts gathering the items that she had brought. She didn't want to get soaked, and they had been together all day. She supposed it would have had to end eventually just.. Not this soon. Slinging her schoolbag back over her shoulder, she hears a melody in the distance. Looking around, she cannot identify where the song came from, but it was ominous to her. "I guess this means we should head back now. Thanks for coming with me though." Offering a hand down to Lilian to help her up. "Or, maybe the path is blocked, and we can't go back. Then we would have to cuddle to keep warm." She says with a small snicker. In reality, Masumi hated getting wet. She liked being warm and dry and was actually dying to get back to the dorms.

Lilian had caught the melody that wafted off into the distance but she figured that it was someone out of reach, it seeming like they were sort of close but not close enough to see. At that moment Masumi started to get everything ready to go, the sky turning rather dark suddenly. Lilian blinked up at the sky and grabbed Masumi's hand to help her up, her saying when she was standing up Masumi's hand in her own still, "You want to cuddle me like a teddy bear?" She sort of double blinked toward her, wondering if that is what Masumi wanted to do and at the same time wondering how such a thing would feel. Lilian stood up against Masumi and linked their arms together, materializing the sort of dark wings that are present in the photo cs them spreading above the both of them. With that done she looks over at Masumi, and says with a slight nod, "I'd rather not get wet."

In truth getting wet while in her clothing is very very annoying to Lilian, about as annoying as that crappy aresol spray people use to make their rooms smell better. The blanket now folded up underneath her free arm that isn't linked with Masumi's arm, her darkness manipulation powers rather useful when she uses them.

It was just as Dante finished that he felt someone's presence.. His eyes had been close the whole time.. When they opened again, they were dull, listless, with none of the bright cheer people were used to seeing... And worse... many of his feathers were strewn about the ground, leaving him looking disheveled and ragged... When a siren feels immense sadness, they lose their feathers... When Dante had found his mother's body, all of her feathers had been on the ground beneath her, with not even one remaining on her once-beautiful wings...

He was soaked through, so much it was impossible to tell what was tears and what was rain.

He slowly removed Hide's arms from around himself.. "sorry... I guess I let my emotions get the best of me...." Even his voice now seemed to lack the spark it normally did... "You should head back... this storm is going to be pretty bad from the feel of it...."

Dante didn't notice that the prolonged exposure of sound had put Hide into a semi-comatose state, so when he left the hug, Hide collapsed onto the ground with a very slow heartbeat, flowers grew beside him as he drifted.

@One Mean Ghost

(Sry can't talk much when knocked out xD )

Dante looked down at Hide, unconscious on the ground. "He shouldn't have come... exposure to a siren's song is dangerous...especially one like that..." He murmured, picking him up. Dante had put everything into that song to rid himself of emotion temporarily... He spread his molting wings, flying back over the school, feathers falling down along the way.. When he arrived back at school, he took Col to the infirmary so he could be treated... Thankfully, the infirmary here specialized in treating stuff like this.. With one last glance back at Hide on the infirmary bed, Dante left the building, walking out into the rain...

He made no effort to shield himself from the rain, and he didn't even seem to notice that his feathers were dropping, leaving a trail wherever he went until they were picked up on the wind and scattered...

With a mischievous giggle, Masumi nods. "A cute, soft teddy bear." With that said, her arm interlocks with Lilian's. Which, was adorable, almost like Lilian was her own little suitor. Then, what seems to be some sort of dark, wing's appear above the two girls, keeping them dry. With a sight of relief Masumi looks over at her. "Yeah.. Me too." Dry and warm, was better than weak and cold. It could have been romantic, but most likely the two would have caught colds and been out of commission for day's. Back through the path, Masumi keeps her arm interlocked with Lilian's the whole way back to the dorms. The sunlight had diapered replaced by a gloomy darkness as the clouds grew thicker and thicker. The birds stopped chirping, and butterflies had retreated to their homes to hunker down for the storm.

On the way back to the dorms Lilian glanced over at the letter on the bulletin board, her stopping with a slight tilt of her head she said aloud, "One parent will come to the school?" She looked up at Masumi with a double blink, the rain not that hard at the moment in the vicinity of the school, "Would your mother come?" Lilian knew that her mother would come, her not turning away an opportunity to see her out and about in the world. The truth of the matter is that Lilian does indeed miss the usual conversations that they would have regularly, sadly though inter-dimensional cellphones do not exist. This instance would giver her a chance to see mother before the winter break, which would be an interesting change of pace.

She wondered if Masumi's mother was like her own, her never really meeting anyone's parents before...family interactions rather limited when your mother is a demon in the real world.

Dante at last found himself back at the bulletin board... He lifted his eyes to read it again, and he felt a bit of emotion... first a little... then a lot... then a wave... he bit into his lip to the point blood ran down his chin as he pulled back his left arm, changing it into a demon arm. He lunged at the board and struck it so hard that it ripped out of the ground and launched a good fifty feet away from him... Just that effort seemed to cause him to blow more of his feathers off, his wretched wings folded against his back..

Then.. he dropped to his knees, his arm returning to normal as he pulled his headphones from his neck, holding them in his lap as he stared down at them...

"Why, mother?... Dad didn't have a choice to go... but you.... you left me here all alone..." he murmured, running his fingertips along the headband of the headphones, tracing the repair just made earlier today... He seemed oblivious to his surroundings.... And to the fact he just defaced school property in full view of two witnesses...

Looking at the sign, Masumi's heart filled with joy. She hadn't seen her mother in months and would be thrilled to see her once more. "Yes! She will!" She says cheerfully. Nearly jumping up and down. She missed her family so much. All the things she would show her mother, how far she had come in her studies. What she had achieved. It was something to look forward to. After her small celebration, she wondered what Lilian's mother was like. She sounded, scary. Very scary. But, maybe she was actually very kind. After all, Lilian was and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree right?

The thought is interrupted by a fist flying past her head, and into the billboard. Not flinching, she simply watches as it fly's away into the courtyard of the school. Turning, she sees the same boy from before, the one who's head phones she had 'fixed' sorta. He, looked like he was in a bad spot because of this. Feeling slightly threatened by his anger, she instinctively steps in front of Lilian, blocking her from him. Though, she probably didn't need the protection, hell it probably should have been the other way around considering the white haired girl's powers. "
Hey, chill out. You're going to hurt someone."

Lilian looked around Masumi by leaning a bit to the side, her seeing the guy from earlier but far more angrier. With a double blink she looked back at the now destroyed bulletin board, her figuring the news on it must have angered him. With that in her mind she added rather calmly and emotionless as always, her looking back at the guy from behind Masumi, her head poking out from behind her rather cutely, "Mi, I think he's just sad." Lilian looked up at Masumi with a double blink, Lilian then looking back at the disheveled guy. He was soaked by the rain but she could make out a bit of discoloration where it seemed he was crying recently. In truth he was probably angry but it wasn't the anger that caused the outburst, more so the realization of what he may have read.

"Mi, I think he's just sad."

"Sad?... Why should I be sad?... It's not like I haven't had plenty of time to move on... I mean... it's been over a decade now..." He gave a hollow chuckle, looking up at them from his knees as he held the headphones in his hands....

"I mean.. that's more than enough time.... right? That's plenty of time to get over someone dying...." He faked a smile, though it wasn't the slightest bit convincing, and he knew it, so the smile faded, more tears starting to well up in his eyes... "Hell... I've lived more years without them than with them... so I should be fine by now...." He turned his eyes away, looking back down at his headphones... "But I'm not... I'm not fine.....I'm not okay... I.... I miss them.... so much..." His body started to actually tremble as he finally admitted this out loud... He had never let himself show this before... but that lecture.... and the bulletin.. it just forced everything he had worked so hard to repress to the surface, and the dam had burst now.... Now... For whatever reason... He wanted someone to know... Just... so someone knew...

With a frown, Masumi relaxes a bit. She totally jumped the gun but the guy did just blow a billboard out of the ground. She really couldn't blame herself for her reaction in the moment. But now, she felt like a jerk. The boy before her was suffering, badly. Looking down at the object in his hands, she notices the headphones she had fixed earlier today. They must have been really special to him, he carried them everywhere he went. Taking her hand, she places it on the boy's shoulder. She had never technically 'loss' a parent. But kinda knew what if felt to have someone leave you. Not really knowing what to say, she simply pulls him into a hug.

Lilian watched as Masumi hugged the guy, her simply standing there seeing as how such things not really being her forte. She after all couldn't even remotely understand the things that are going on at the moment, seeing as how her parents are still together and not gone in anyway, so for the moment Masumi seemed like the best person for the moment. She did figure that the bulletin board being uprooted was a bit extreme but she figured that it could have been a person so take a win when you can. She glanced up at the sky and it started to get darker, lightning off in the distance, her the double blinking back toward the both of them. Time was a bit short but she didn't want to say anything at the moment for pretty obvious reasons.

He finally couldn't stop it anymore.. He let the tears come... For several minutes his body shook with sobs before, for lack of any better way of putting it, he just cried it all out...

He wiped at his eyes, holding up the headphones with a weak smile... "These... were my mother's..." he murmured, slowly turning his gaze to Masumi... "It's.. really all I have of either of them.... My father.... was killed by exorcists... and my mother hung herself not long after that... I was... not much older than six..." he shook his head... It felt a little better to finally talk about it... "So.... I really.. can't thank you enough for fixing them... and for..... letting me be weak..." He managed a small smile up at the two girls... "I guess.. seeing that bulletin... I couldn't ignore it anymore.. They're gone, and they won't ever get to come see me at school..." he shook his head before he looked up at the darkening sky. "We.. should probably get inside... Knowing my luck if we stay out here I'll wind up struck by lightning" he actually managed a bit of a laugh...

Releasing him of the hug she felt as if it had helped a little. Her usual smile wasn't on her face. "I'm so sorry." She says. Again, not much else could be said. She couldn't relate to the extent of his loss. Not even being able to begin imagining the amount of pain that one must feel in his position, she looks up at the sky. Cloud's thickened over them and thunder echo'ed in the distance. With a sigh she nods. "Yeah, guess we should hu? Like I said before, I don't think I'll be able to fix you." She says playfully punching his arm. Looking back at the board that was now in the middle of the courtyard, she wondered where her father was once more. She hoped that he was ok, that he was safe and not alone in the world. After a moment lost in thought, she looks back at Lilian and smiles. "Shall we?"

Lilian simply nodded to Masumi, and looked over at the winged guy her saying in the same emotionless face she has always had, "I do hope you begin to feel better." Lilian knew that he would not be able to come to the Girls dorm with them, because you know magic but she hoped that he could work this all out some way. With that said she started to walk her simply keeping one wing over Masumi as she started off toward the girls dorm. Lilian had never lost someone close to her so she could not understand the emotions the boy was facing, although she knew that it must not be easy and such emotional outbursts would happen no matter what. Emotions are not something one can control, her mother saying that to her on her first day of school way back when. She stopped walking and turned to face the two of them, "Some times you just have to let it out, bottling it up helps no one," she pauses and then adds looking to Masumi, "We better hurry Mi."

The sky now looks flat out terrifying, it very clearly going to be a really stormy day and night.

Dante slowly pushed himself up to his feet, slipping his head phones around his neck. "Make sure you get inside before this storm starts to really cut loose." He remarked to the two of them, managing a genuine smile this time. "And don't worry about me, it'll take more than a little lightning to kill me" He looks over to Lilian when she speaks. "you're right... bottling it up sure didn't help me at all..." He nodded, turning towards the male dorms on the opposite side of the campus... "Be safe you two... Till next time" he waved to them, spreading his wings to fly the shortest distance to the male dorms....

-I'll make this up to all of you someday.... Lilian, Masumi, Hide....- He knew now... He wasn't alone anymore.

Storm

---

Looking up at the sky, Masumi felt a shiver go down her spine. Usually storms were fun to watch but this one gave her a bad feeling. She nods to Lilian when she suggests haste. Walking down the path back to the girls dorm felt like a million mile journey. Thunder grew louder, and Lightning grew closer. The rain started to pour as dirt turned to mud, which nearly enveloped her shoes. Finally though, they make it back to the dorm rooms. The main building was never such a more appreciated sight to Masumi than now. Opening the main doors to the lobby for both of them, the two girls step inside and away from the elements. The warmth of the lit fireplace in the lobby was a welcoming feeling. It filled the room with light as it crackled and danced. With a sigh, Masumi takes off her mud stained shoes from her feet, not wanting to drag mud into what was basically her home. "You.. Don't think it'll get worse. Do you?" She asks Lilian.

Lilian did the same as Masumi when she entered the dorms, her glancing over at Masumi when she asked her if the storm would get worse. "Probably," she simply stated and then stepped to the stairs, her glancing back to Masumi as she did, "Do you not like thunderstorms?" Lilian knew that some people did not like such things, them bringing childhood fears or deep seeded emotions out when they approached. She however did not mind them, the thing that was annoying to her was the rain when she gets caught out in it. Being cold isn't one thing that she likes and the rain coupled with wind didn't take to long to make someone cold out and about.

She paused and then thought back to earlier when Masumi invited her back to her room for a moment, Lilian figuring that she could do the same seeing as how Masumi was kind enough to do it. "Would you like to come to my room for a little while?" Seeing as how it wasn't that late most students were just chilling in their rooms as well Lilian figured that it would be rather fun to have someone there with her, or at least more entertaining.

Storm

---

It wasn't that Masumi was necessary 'scared' of storms. She actually enjoyed them. Just, from far away. If they grew close she found herself growing uneasy and would often jump at the loud sounds of thunder and flashes of lightning. So, she supposed she was kinda a little scared. With a shy nod she admitted to it. But did not state it. The fact that Lilian made it sound like it would only get worse made her feel pretty uneasy as well. The way she saw it, if she were going to be trapped in the middle of a hurricane. She might as well have some company. "Would you mind?" She asks as she steps up the stairs with Lilian.

@Mediocritys Muse

@Ellie the Knight

She shakes her head in response, "Not at all," she then paused and then started to walk up the stairs yet again, "It would be a nice change to have someone over." With that said she opens the door to the room and lets Masumi walk in first, her being polite or whatever. He room was for lack of a better word immaculate, it looking as if someone had just constructed it a few moments ago. There was a fairly big book shelf, a desk and chair with a laptop on the desk, her dresser with her clothing inside, and the bed. The bed however was the thing that stood out the most, it being covered with what looked like red satin sheets and two black soft looking pillows at the top. The one thing that Lilian makes sure to have is her bed, this being the one she slept in at home, she just doesn't sleep well in a bed that isn't her own...just something about her odd or not.

poke. Something prodded at his cheek, stirring him from his napping out state and pulling his groggy attention into the direction it came from. Ryo blinked when he noticed a familiar face staring at him with an impatient expression. "What's wrong?" The male asked with a yawn as he tried to rub the sleep from his eyes and he shifted in his spot beneath a tree. "It's about to storm. So get up, we need to get inside," Kurai's tone carried the same impatience as her expression, though it didn't bother Ryo much. He looked up at the cloud covered sky and stared for a moment before his cheek was pinched and pulled making him give a quiet groan in pain, "owwie.."

----

"get up you big baby," Kurai let go of his face and stood up, watching as the boy slowly stood up as well. She studied his tired movements before rolling her eyes in slight amusement and pulling Ryo onto her back, "You're going to take forever like that." "where are we going?" Ryo asked when Kurai started walking towards the male dorms. "I'm taking you to the dorm, and then I'm going to mine." "Can't you come stay with me until the storm is over?" Kurai shook her head as she walked, noticing him wrapping his arms around her neck,"No, I'm a female. That's frowned upon." "Oh, yeah," Ryo responded as if he had forgotten she was a girl, which he often did. The female gave a butthurt huff and bit at the inside of her cheek, though she stopped when she made it a safe distance to the dorms and let him down,"Why don't you try to finish that game of yours while you wait the storm out, or try to make a friend." It was more of a suggestion than a question, but Ryo only nodded and gave her a quick hug before disappearing into the male dorms.

Kurai hugged him back and shook her head, turning on her heel in the direction of the girl's dorm. The thunder rolled, though it didn't bother her much. It was the rain that was getting to her. When she made it to the building she quickly cleaned off her shoes, only to remove them with the fear that she might muddy the floors of the building as she stepped inside, carrying them by their laces. Don't want to be the one cleaning that up. her brows raised at her own thought as she was getting absorbed into her mind, not paying much attention whilst she made a way to her room. It didn't cease to ease her, the decor of this building was rather soothing, unlike the atmosphere teachers gave during a class or the stranger staring at you from a neighboring apartment window. It gave her a natural sense of home, though it was nothing like her old home. Thin fingers came to move damp hair from her face when she felt the chill of her wet clothes getting to her and hasted her pace to her room. Once she made it there she gathered a change of clothes and swapped into something warmer, putting the dirty clothes into a bag before plopping down onto her bed and letting some relief settle. Riding out this storm is going to be a boring..

---

Ryo didn't hesitate to get to his room and change, though he also wasn't paying much attention to his surroundings. He grabbed his unfinished game he had hidden in his pocket earlier and attempted to turn it on. It was to no avail, however, as it blinked a few times and died again. Again and again he tried to fix it, but it only repeated the same process until it stopped blinking altogether. "Crapppp," The teen growled in frustration and tossed the game onto the floor, knowing it was probably due to water damage from the storm. "figures.." Ryo delved into a melting slouch against the bed and gave a subtle whine in worry. What am I supposed to do now? I'm already awake. He glanced at the window to his room and huffed. Something told him he wouldn't be enjoying this waiting period. It was secret only he and Kurai knew, that he was never a fan of storms. Especially the little friend that came along with them- Lightning. Pulling his pillow over his head, he blocked the view of the storm from his eyes even though he still found himself jumping a little when he heard the bolts of heat strike outside. This is just perfect...what if it starts a fire? no, no, I'm just being paranoid...It'll be alright.

Storm

---

Walking inside of her room, it felt like entering a palace. Everything was so neat and organized, Masumi felt like if she so much as breathed on something. It would cause the whole room to become a mess. Looking around, the most obvious part of the room was her bed. Which held what seemed like blood red sheets and black pillows. It looked cozy. Afraid to touch anything Masumi stands there as she turns back to Lilian. "Woah.. It's super clean." Compared to her room. Now she was really embarrassed at the state of her own room. That dam lamp was still there after all this time. It was also underneath her bed, where she would probably forget about it. Though, at this point it didn't matter. Hopefully she would remember, but if not she would eventual find the poor thing while looking for something else. Lilian probably though she was a pig.

@Mediocritys Muse

@Ellie the Knight

"I suppose," she said looking around the room, her never really thinking about it before seeing as how she had always kept her room in this state. With that in mind she walks over to the dresser and then removes her socks to get a bit more comfortable, she lets out a light sigh and looks over at Masumi, "You can sit if you want." She thought it a bit odd that Masumi was just standing there all uncomfortable like, her slightly cocking her head at the sight. Lilian hasn't ever really grown attuned to feeling uncomfortable, which has been displayed many many times previously. She searches through her dresser and pulls out a rather comfy looking pajama set, them matching the bed with black bottoms and a red top.

Lilian cocks her head to Masumi and states aloud, "I'm about to change, I really don't mind if you look but if you're prone to embarrassment I suggest you turn away." With that Lilian starts to change into her Pajamas, whether or not Masumi turned away or not.
