Fandom Teen Titans: Unity (ALWAYS OPEN)

Calypso was in and out of a haze. occasionally she'd come to, then slip away again. However she eventually managed to stay awake. she was fascinated by all the new feelings around here. like sheets. she had no idea what sheets were. and they felt nice. She couldn't help but squirm in them. Calypso's shoulder still hurt, but the blood was beginning to clot reducing the bleeding. and because she wasn't moving it wasn't tearing her apart anymore.

Calypso seemed content with staring out the window in pure awe. she'd only seen the city from tall trees, never from inside a building! as beast boy came back, she was snuggled up in his blankets and her eyes traced every blinking light.

"Sorry about the stray arrow earlier. I didn't mean to almost hit your friend. I couldn't quite aim right with my shoulder the way it is. I tried to stop before it fired but I kind a lost control of it."

As she got warm with the blankets her glow began to return but wasn't as vibrant as there would be with a mood change. "Lets just hope Dr.Crowley doesn't send his "dog" after us." She used air quotes around the word "dog".

Dr.Crowley's "dog" was actually a geneticly modified human named Shrapnel. Why? because he was crazy, unpredictable and vicious. he destroyed everyone he came into contact with just as shrapnel from a grenade. He was a mess of messed up genetics that was only loyal to Dr.Crowley, who literally kept him on a leash or in a cage. Sherapnel had massive horns, razor sharp claws, wielded a crowbar a venomous bite and a silent approach. Once an opponent saw that abomination, it was already over for them. Shrapnel was known as the "garbage disposal" of the lab. whenever an experiment became inconvenient, they were fed to him and nothing but bones would be left. He was an absolute monster and could pop up literaly anywhere with no warning other than the slight scent of graveyard dirt.

Finding the kit, Beast Boy headed back to his room to tend to Calypso. He walked up to her and opened up the kit next to her on the bed. He looked through the box until he found antiseptic, medical tape, tweezers, anesthetic to reduce pain , and some alcohol wipes to help clean up. "This might burn a bit." He told Calypso as he put antiseptic directly in the bullet wound. He could see her cringe a bit at the pain, but surprisingly endured most of it. He then used the wipes to wipe the drying blood away so he could get good look at the external damage. Upon closer inspection, it seemed to be a 9mm bullet hole. Cops used .45 caliber handguns as standard issue, so she wasn't running away from them... which was a good sign. He then applied anesthetic to her before attempting to pull the bullet out with tweezers. A few minutes later, the bullet was on the bed and Calypso was being bandaged up. "There... all better!" He said before getting up. He heard her apologize about the arrow, and he shrugged it off. "Things happen I guess!" He said with his signature smile. "Hey, I'm gonna go rest up a bit... you can stay here to get some rest until we sort some stuff out in the morning."

Walking back to the couch that was in the main room where the Titans usually hung out, Beast Boy plopped himself onto it. After a few seconds of winding back, he decided to head back to his room. He was up now... so falling asleep was gonna be an issue. Heading towards his room once more, Beast Boy entered the room. "So how are you holding up?" He asked Calypso.

"I'm a little sore, but I'll be alright. give it a few days." Calypso's ears twitched with every little noise. Calypso was sitting up sitting indian style, loincloth luckily covering everything important. Calypso seemed fully awake, as if she were semi-nocturnal. "Whats that big flashing light on that metal stick?" Calypso asked, staring at a radio tower in the distance. She'd seen them but she always wondered what they were.

From the sound of the siren, to the noises outside, and finally the rest of the team dispatching for the robbery; it's a wonder his systems didn't alert him earlier. When his right eye opened, and the other lighting up in red, Cyborg stepped off of his 'bed' and stood next to the lab table. The lights on his limbs lit up one by one, operating systems calibrated, motor functions at maximum capacity, power reserves full, and the Grid updating. While his cyber side was ready for anything, Cyborg's human mentality was still attempting to wake up.

Walking over to his toiletries, Cyborg found himself lamenting over the pictures of his friends next to the mirror. First were Star and Raven smiling, more or less, to the camera. Starfire was like a little sister to him, but her temper and cooking were lethal lately. Cyborg attempts to coddle Raven like Star at times when she seems distant or upset, but he knows how she needs her space. Beast Boy was same as always, when he wasn't sleep then he was getting beat at video games by Cyborg. And the video games brought Cyborg to their famous leader, who's competitive spirit was present in their past time hobbies and in actual combat; often leading to arguments.

Then Cyborg looked to the mirror, an audible sigh escaping his mouth. He could be critical about his friends all he wanted, but truthfully Cyborg was still attempting to accept himself. After all the enhancements made, Cyborg could barely see his human body left. Lifting his hand to his chest, each finger moving with his command making him smile lightly. Then the fingers and arm formed the Sonic Cannon, another reminder that this form is a facade to what he really was.

Luckily a small light was calling his attention away from his thoughts and morning activities. Activating his connection to Titan Tower in his room, Cyborg studied the data from last night and the morning coming.
A bank robbery, BB, Star, and Raven handling it. A visitor outside, deal with that later. And another person inside, what room? A few seconds of data being sent from the tower, and Cyborg's eye widened with the results. Cyborg ran through the door with the surprise, not minding the many cords and connections being broken from outlets on his back. It only took a few steps until Cyborg broke through Beast Boy's door with ease.

After a moment of analyzing the individual on Beast Boy's bed, Cyborg looked at BB for some form of confirmation.

"Yeah, yeah, just give me a second," Ben mumbled, dialing a number into his phone. It wasn't easy to find a taxi at this time of day, and with his luck...Yup, no answer. Just the prerecorded sound of the service's answering machine. The young man sighed. This would make things more difficult. He didn't have a car to drive the guy to the hospital with, and his house was too far to walk to - that is, if the other boy's leg was as damaged as he claimed it was.

"It might actually be better if you stayed down," Ben advised, partially because of his (many, many) experiences with broken legs, and partially because of his cautiousness. True, he was probably being paranoid. He had often wondered about the experiences he had missed out on due to his fear, but at the early hours of the day, deprived of sleep and isolated from witnesses, he felt particularly vulnerable. "Your ankle is probably just twisted, but it may not be a good idea to walk on it for a while. Is your house close by? I might be able to take you there. Or do you have anyone who can pick you up?"

Dust raise a brow as she witness one collapse.. so she decided to let the missile launcher and the rocket that was launch go poof into thin air, nothing happen so she disappeared down a alley way before they could interfere again ''Mission... accomplish?'' she muttered, ticking the amount of money off her list and then her eyes scroll down to check what the rest of the things she needed to collect ''heh... If I can't buy that find that I guess.. I could always steal it?'' she shrug and continue down the path, she had a idea where she could collect these things anyway.

(@Huntrey It was pretty in depth, I thought it was rather impressive. Prepare for my less detailed response due to my lack of time!)

Beast Boy smiled at Calypso. She must be so innocent! So... out of this world that she knows nothing about it. Must explain the reeeeeally relaxed dressing attire. "That's a radio tower. It helps give signals to people all over Jump City to receive reception!" He told her. He sat next to her on the bed and kept smiling. "I assume you must not be from the city?" He asked her. At that moment, he heard a loud crash and turned around. "MOTHER OF GOD!" He yelled in surprise, until he realized it was only Cyborg who managed to bust through his door. "Sorry... Saint Mary." Beast Boy said as he did an overexaggerated "up, down, left, right" catholic gesture. He then beat his chest with his fist before forming a peace sign with his hand. "Respect." He said with a hidden hint of sarcasm. When Cyborg gave him that look... he couldn't help but laugh. The look he gave him, was the look he knew all too well. Cyborg only gave him that look when Beast Boy was about to do something stupid, only this time, it wasn't.... THAT stupid. He winked back at Cyborg to show him that everything was "OK" at the present moment. Shrugging, acting like he was non existent, Beast Boy focused attention back on Calypso.

It was funny though. While Cyborg was the oldest, he still treated Beast Boy like they were the same age. Not that it was a big age gap anyways... but still. Everyone else in the team was regarded the same... except for Beast Boy. They hit it off real well when they first met, and ever since then they were almost inseparable. Unless of course, Terra or Jinx was around. They were almost like brothers, him and Cyborg. Time and time again had they constantly pranked each other; battling for comic superiority. They argued about the stupidest things, such as what they were going to have for dinner, or who was more sexier in the latest Sports Illustrated swimsuit magazine. Stupid things.... but fun little things. Fun little things that brought them closer together. While he may seem like he was disregarding him, he knew that Cyborg could read him like a book. Cyborg could easily tell that he welcomed his presence, despite his obvious attraction towards Calypso. During all of this though, for some reason the thought of Raven was in the back of his mind.... like a conviction almost.

Raven caught herself, landing on her feet, before she damaged anything. She sighed heavily as the culprit got away. She felt too weak to go after her.

"This really has to stop. We need sleep, our powers require energy, and energy is what we don't have. She got away because of us! That's one 'badguy', what about the next?! Huh?!" Raven shouted at nothing in particular. Her focus went to Star, she sighed again, not wanting to upset the innocent alien. "I'm sorry, Star." She murmured, not good with apologies. Star knew that. Hell, everyone knew that. They also knew she didn't take losing very well either. "I guess it's too late to try again, so let's use this time to try and rest up before the next one?" She suggested, and slowly began to raise from the ground. Using the last of her energy, she headed back to the Tower in guilt and shame. After all, she was the reason the person got away.

Her eyes began to tear up on the way back, but she covered her face better once she was back inside, so no one could see her now puffy face. She raced to her room, and broke down on her bed, wondering why she even became a hero. Especially if she was just going to fail. She locked her room down, and silently cried herself to sleep, hoping that no one would attempt to enter.

"I've only been in this part of the world for a few weeks. All I know are the lab and the yanomamo tribe. honestly, this all seems strange to me. What's a reception?" Calypso heard Cyborg coming from down the hall... he was a pretty heavy man, so his footsteps were pretty loud to someone with amazing hearing. however, the slaming of the door scared her out of her skin. Calypso let out what sounded like a cross between an elk bellow and a wolf's growl as she spun around in an attempt to get her horns between her and Cyborg. her glow grew far brighter and even though BB didn't seem afraid, she was. Cyborg reminded her of something from the lab! there were a lot of machines and robots around, most of which did very unpleasant things. most of them served to hold an experiment down during a painful operation. Dr.Crowley never believed in anesthesia, it was considered a contaminant, so every operation was done live and awake.

Calypso wouldn't let her guard down at all, her ears were slicked back and she blew air in pure fear.

Grimora, who was outside, noticed raven walking by. The horse looked up from grazing outside the tower and trotted to her side and followed her a good distance. He snorted before reaching over, trying to nibble on her hair and even attempting to follow her in the tower.

SHANE SNOW

In a dream

Shane was on a highway, fire roaring from two cars near him, out in the distance was that of star city, a destination clearly someone did not make Shane looked at the cars, such a mess. Shane looked into the distance he saw himself for a second but he believed it to be just a shadow. Was this just a dream, or a nightmare, seems he would find out soon. It felt so...real though. He turned and the time of day seemed to change, it was now daytime, cops were everywhere, flooding the scene. He listened in on the conversation "Seems to have been a pretty bad crash, everyone is dead, what you got" A cop asks a nerdy looking fellow with a tablet "Well everyone is dead, the two older folks in the truck seemed to have died once the crash occurred, blunt trauma as it seems, the other guy..well that's the weird part." The guy says as Shane turns to the other car, but it was no longer there it seemed to have fallen off the cliff "Yeah the one who died from his windshield right?" The cop asks, Shane still staring off into the distance the same blank expression on his face. The dream seemed to speed up, the nerdy guy answered but it was too fast to understand. Now it was nighttime and the accident was being cleaned up. "Such a weird day, Joe left so fast saying he found something. And he was found later in a horrible car accident, crashed into a pole." One of the workers says making small talk "Impact blew all his windsheilds out, guy should have not drove so fast." another worker says. Shane walked to the edge of cliff and looked down at his hands, slowly he could see crack marks trailing up his arms.

Real life

Shane woke up with a deep sigh. Same old same old, another weird dream. They never seemed to want to go away, but to be honest Shane had gotten used to them now, it was really interesting to see the kinds of situations his mind kept making. At first the cracking and shattering out of his dreams was scary but now it was old and he was used to it. Weird things too was these dreams were all made up, that or they were before Shanes time. He never really paid attention, he always seemed to trail off, even in his fun dreams. Yeah, fun. What a dull word to use. Shane got up and went through his daily routine. Once finished he sat down eating some pizza and watching the TV, seemed there was a robbery. Pretty normal to be honest, every day occurrence now a days. All these powered folks seemed to be taking over. Kinda sucked being a normal human. Actually to be honest Shane did not mind, he liked his dull life and liked working as a Pizza cook and stuff. He found it to be pretty cool. He was hoping to buy a car soon with the money he had been saving up.

After he was finished eating Shane grabbed his keys, bag and apron and headed out. He was in his usual uniform for work, he turned and locked the door and headed down the stairs and out onto the street. Another boring day it seemed. He walked for a short break aka a couple feet and entered the pizza shop. He turned the sign over to open and went to the back putting his stuff in there. He looked to the company board and such and realized most of the other workers had been slacking off lately. Seemed Bill and Adriana were supposed to work with him today but Shane knew. He would be the only one. And to be honest he really did not care. Todays special was buy one large pizza with one topping get the second large pizza with choice of topping for a dollar. Pretty good deal for days like these. Shane smiled at the board and nodded as he went to the front window watching as other citizens walked by. Shane grabbed a white board from the window and wrote out the special for the day, they also had a special veggie sub for the day as well that he made sure to write down.

Once that was done Shane went behind the counter and began to cook a pizza, more or less for the boss. But really the boss never came down to see how things were going, boss was kind of shady. But he was a really nice guy and he loved Shane, specially because Shane worked almost every day without complaint or care and he did a pretty good job. Shane breathed in the smell of the shop and looked back out the window "Another nice day in Jump city it seems."

Beast Boy laughed as he saw Calypso's reaction to Cyborg's entrance. "Awww it's okay momma! This is just good ol' Cy!" He said as he got up and put an arm around him. He put on a big friendly smile to show Calypso that his companion meant no harm. "He may seem like a complete robot, but he's actually a complete dork!" Beast Boy teased while chuckling to himself. He then let go of Cyborg and walked back over to Calypso, sitting next to her while placing his hands on his lap. "A reception is what someone who has a radio or other electronic device gets when they pick up the signal coming from the radio tower." He explained as he answered her question. Before anyone could say anything else, Beast Boy heard someone enter the Tower, and a door being held shut by something other than a lock. By the sound of nothing, Beast Boy could only assume that it was Raven who had come back. Concerned for her, especially after leaving her and Star to themselves, Beast Boy excused himself from Cyborg and Calypso; leaving the two to themselves in his room.

Walking out of his room to reach Raven's door, Beast Boy made his way to Raven. He stood in front of the clean but ominous door and hesitated before knocking. There was a nameplate on the door with "RAVEN" implanted on it. There were some rather strange black marks on the door that Beast Boy figured it was from her magic. Finally, he knocked on her door. "Rae Rae...?" He called out to her softly.

Gregory was growing bored of just walking the streets. It had been a while since the fight between the girl and the titans and since then Greg couldn't keep busy. It was getting later, well technically earlier, (but it was still dark so it didn't matter much) Yet Gregory wasn't the least bit tired. It could be that witnessing that fight gave him some kind of energy, the reason he was in this city at all was to challenge the so called good doers.

After a bit of thought, and another block, Gregory decided to do something. He pulled his hood over his head and removed his gloves, taking care to put them in his pockets. Greg wanted to garne attention, and his Bordom had reached a high.

Small droplets of black began to stream out of his hands, eventually a black ooze streamed from his fingertips. Greg made several gestures with his hands and the odd black liquid would follow the movements. With a thrust of his hand the ooze slid under three nearby card, Greg rose his hands up and the vehicles were prepelled into the air. Each car landed with a loud crash and the ooze came to rest in small puddles.

…That was fun… Greg moved down the street and the liquid snaked behind him. Gregory made more gestures and with them the ooze moved and more cars flipped.

She heard Beast Boy's soft call, and her heart panged.

He's okay. She told herself, and that's all that had really mattered. He's probably going to get really mad at me once he finds out...

It hurt her to think like that. She knew she was just punishing herself. Her guilt racked mind wouldn't possibly let her get away with this, and her mind would have to drag her heart into it too.

She had feelings for Beast Boy, had them for some time now. She knew what they were, and what kind of trouble they could lead too. She hated that she was doing that to herself. It was just going to hurt her.

But she couldn't help herself. Something about his obnoxious, aggravating, irritating, immature behavior that brought something out of her that she couldn't resist. She liked it, but she knew it was futile. She knew that no one could possibly love someone as broken as her.

"Go away." She croaked out, her voice laced with the sadness her mind was bringing her. She had started crying again, and she hated that. Tears were weakness. Emotions were weakness. But they were also human, as part of her that her father didn't give her. A part that her mother did, and for that she cherished them, just as much as she hated them.

She quickly wiped away her tears, and held her cloak close. It was her protection, a shield. A part of her that would love her, that would hold her in sadness. A part that would listen to her feelings, and let her hide them within. The only part that allowed her a place to hide in vulnerability. To smile at Beast Boy when her tone showed annoyance. To hide her tears when she was sad. To cover the parts of her body she was insecure about. To let her be her.

For now, she would allow herself this weakness, but she would have her walls back up and running soon after. She just needed to let it out. She just needed rest...

Cringing after hearing the shakiness in Raven's voice, Beast Boy attempted to open the door before realizing it was locked. Smiling slightly, he turned into an ant and crawled through the tiny little space between the floor and the door. Eventually, Beast Boy found himself inside her room once again... technically uninvited...

Again...

Oh well. He was pretty sure this time would be an exception. Until of course, when she gets better she'll probably yell at him for something he didn't do but be hit by her anyways. It was weird... a lot of times she would abuse him with her magic, but he somehow found it kind of... arousing. Not in a sexual way, but something about it... excited him. It was almost like....

No, she doesn't like you...

Nevertheless, it almost feel like they both indirectly flirted with each other here and there. Sometimes it was so subtle, the other couldn't figure out whether they were being serious or comical. Not serious in a romantic way, serious in a "things are about to get ugly really fast" sort of way. But that's how she was. Dark, Deadly, and one heck of a girl. She was a mystery, but one he didn't mind solving.

Plus... Dem' legs!

So she had nice legs, that much was true. But should he really dive into something so fast, without looking ahead? No, it was not like he was going to confess to her... especially not tonight. Even then, Beast Boy wasn't exactly sure if he had anything to confess. Was he in love with her? Was he just... attracted to her... as in like a one night stand deal? What... what was this... and why is it so complex. More importantly, why is it so hard for both of the to completely open up to one another? Sure, there had been times where they've depended on each other, but not completely dependant. Besides, they both were very independant, and definitely Alphas. Rae Rae had a bit of an edge to her, which he liked. But deep down inside he knew she was full of conflict, although she tried to hide it from everyone else. He could read her though, although not very often. But... he knew she could be vulnerable.

Aren't we all?

Crawling slowly but surely, he eventually made it onto Raven's bed and crawled next to her. "Psssssst." He whispered before turning back into human form. "Hey... what's wrong momma?" He asked speaking softly still, putting a hand on her shoulder while looking her in the eyes.

@Sicarius

Raven heard Beast Boy's soft voice and she was instantly torn. On one hand she wnted him to hold her as she broke up, and on the other she couldn't allow herself that moment of weakness.

He was on her bed.

She blushed, and quickly wiped away her tears. She settled on facing him, but not being too close. As she rose, her hood fell off, and she hoped it wasn't noticeable that she had been crying.

"Nothing is wrong." She said, trying to hide her sadness. "How did you get in here, anyway?" She said, trying to force anger in her voice, but she was sure it came off weird, broken. She tried to appear strong, when she knew she was weak. That was her nature.

Once she made eye contact, she looked away immediately, feeling the familiar pressure build from behind her eyes. She focus on her breathing and looked at her hands. She wanted him to hold her. She wanted to be weak. Just this once. She desired it. She craved it. But she couldn't allow it.

"Oh come on Rae Rae, why do you got to be such a party pooper!" Beast Boy said as he put his arm around her in a quick and friendly manner, unaware of what Raven was thinking. He didn't hold her in a romantic way, but more in a friendly way that screamed "Don't worry pal! It's gonna be okay!" instead of "Let's hold each other forever as we fly off into the sunset" type of way. He didn't intend on making Raven more upset, and tried to comfort her. He realized instantly that she had been crying, and he retracted his arm. "Whoa, whoa... Raven... are you...okay?" He asked her with a puzzled but concerned look on his face.

I could feel my heart beating again. Every time I got closer to her, my heart rate would speed up. Sure, all of those girlie magazines- that I did not read- say that when you "love" someone, or at least have a crush on them, your heart rate rises. Maybe I was crushing hard on Raven? After touching her, thinking about it this way was totally different from all the other times I've touched her. We've made physical contact many times, although all were either friendly, or... not so friendly. What I originally intended was friendly.... buuuut.... it could of came off the wrong way....

@Shai

@Sicarius (Wasn't quite Raven the first time around, this is better. Sorry if it's too sad... But it's Raven, she doesn't exactly immediately 'perk up', might seem like overreacting, but she's running off of barely to no sleep, and she's a mess so...)

Raven enjoyed the feeling of him touching her. She allowed herself to enjoy this moment. Skin on skin. A blush crept up her cheeks. She wanted more, but she couldn't. She slowly leaned into him, curling into his side, and for a moment she felt him tense. She mistakenly took it as a sign to get away, and her heart shattered, but she knew it was supposed to be like this.

She slowly creeped away from him then went for her cloak to cover herself. She was so tired of hiding, but it was all she knew. She stopped before grabbing it and looked at Beast Boy indirectly, too scared to make eye contact, or even look at him directly. "The person got away with the money." She said quietly. "And it was my fault." She couldn't hold back anymore, she grabbed her cloak and covered her head just as tears began to spill. She curled up again. "Now you know, so now you can leave." She said, as her wall came up.

Just like everyone else does eventually...

But he still hadn't left... She didn't want him too. Yes, she did. No, she didn't. She silently wiped at her eyes once more. This isn't her. This isn't Raven.

Then who am I? She quietly asked herself. She closed off, forgetting her audience, forgetting everything but the darkness of her cloak. She closed her eyes, and begged for darkness to take her.

Calypso calmed alittle at BB's reassurance, but she was still uncomfortable around him. many of the machines around the lab were to hold down experiments, to catch them or to keep them incapacitated. They weren't as humanoid as Cyborg was, but they still had the basic shape, were about as tall and had some blue plating on them. most people, when confronted with fears also showed anger, but Calypso was far different. She showed no rage, simply conditioned fear. every mechanical being she'd ever been around hurt her, she didn't know Cyborg so she had no evidence he wouldn't do the same.

Calypso reluctantly let her defenses fall. "Sorry. habit. did Crowley build you too? Im surprised, he usualy leaves quite a few more scars. especially on the face." Fear was then replaced with curiosity. she found herself thumping on the metal that made up Cy's bicep.

"Wait. your an electronic,..thingy. soo... you get the reception, from the radio tower. you a radio? I've never seen a radio before." Indeed a radio was a cool looking animal. never would she had thought it'd be a beast. Calypso's easy twitched behind her antlers as the glow settled into a softer light.

"M-My house is just a few minutes behind me. I-I don't think I have anyone who'd be willing to pick me up at this hour."

Finally.

Gray had begun to worry that this patron, for whatever reason, this man was not going to help him up. He had not eaten in so long that he wasn't strong enough to feed without physical contact, and was becoming more and more frustrated the longer this guy refused to help him. But finally, he may have a passage into obtaining his goal.

....Is that it...?

So... Raven was upset about the robber getting away? No... he knew her better than that. Sure, she was probably upset about it, and was probably expecting him to be mad at him, but he knew that wasn't the case. Beast Boy knew Raven sometimes better than she knew herself... although he doesn't act like it. What was really bothering her, was her pride. The mixture between her pride, and her extreme exhaustion, had caused her to be in an emotional unbalance. With factors like lack of sleep, as well as overwhelming sense of negativity, results in a mental breakdown. He understood. She probably felt powerless and mad at herself for letting the thief get away; even though she was too tired to even fight. That's just how she was though, classic Raven. To show how tough she was, she would always push herself past her limits. Tonight though, she had reached her maximum. Now, she was exposed... and he knew she completely despised it.

He felt awkward about the whole situation though. He tried his best to comfort her somewhat, but she took herself away from him when he had his arm around her.

She definitely doesn't like you...

Either way, he knew that she needed someone there for her. Not Robin, who was vigilant and uptight. He would probably be insensitive to the whole thing. Starfire, well... she wasn't exactly good with words... or English... at the moment. Cyborg? Hmmm... Cy has helped both Raven and Starfire, and had also shared many secrets between him and Beast Boy. He was like the older brother to all of them, and he could very well help the situation.

But not tonight. Not now. I wanted to be the one to help her. I wanted to be the one who would comfort her. "Rae, it's just a crook... we'll take her down sooner or later. Like we always do." I said as I attempted to go after her hand, but then refrained myself from doing it. "Besides... it was my fault anyways. I....kinda left when I went after that girl..."

Whoops...probably shouldn't have mentioned a girl at this time...

Even though I could tell she has no interest in me, for some reason she would get mad about any other girl I would mention. Maybe... it was because she wanted what's best for me? Like... as his best friend? She did have justification with her trust issues, with Terra being the one to betray them all... and my Ex-girlfriend. It's just... she always acted like a mother who was concerned for her son of which girl he wanted to date. Yet, when I go against her advisement she seems to back off and just watch... silently.

Ravens heart clenched when he mentioned a girl.

I knew he didn't like me... but this is how he tells me? This is how he builds that wall?

Suddenly anger took over. "Get out! Get out! Get out!" She screeched. Using her magic she pushed him off her bed and then she tucked herself in a corner. "And don't come back!" She screamed with finality. Finally breaking down, and allowing sleep to hold her with a warm embrace. She had to rest, it was the only way.

And so she did, with dark dreams of heartbreak and Beast Boy.

"WHOA! What gives momma??!" Beast Boy exclaimed with much surprise. He was beyond the definition of the word confused, and he had no other words left to say. It's like his mind pulled up a blank every time he tried to create a thought. He didn't know what to think. Raven seemed to had been provoked by something he must of said. Getting up before backing away slowly, Beast Boy put his hands up with caution. "Okay okay, I'm leaving... I'm leaving. I just... thought I could help." He said as he crept towards the door. He turned to walk out, before facing Raven who was in a corner. "Uhm...." He began to say. He then closed his eyes and stopped himself before walking out of the door.

Why didn't you tell her you dingbat!

What, and make her more mad?!

Mad at how you feel about her?

Didn't you see how mad she was at all the other girls I liked?!

Good point.

She'd probably hate herself.

What?! That makes no sense!

You make no sense!

....I know....

Beast Boy argued with himself as he made his way to his room. He might as well get some rest too. As he walked back in, he realized he still had Cyborg and Calypso in his room. "Hey... sorry. Had to do something." He told them in a depressed manner, trying to hide it. He wanted them out of his room, so he could go to sleep. He didn't want to think about Raven... and sleep would help him take his mind off of her.

Yet, she was always on his mind. Why? He didn't know. They had no reason why they should be together; why they should even like each other. Besides, it wouldn't work out. They were on the same team, and if they were to have relationship problems it would affect their chemistry. They were fine where they were at, and that was that. But... he sometimes couldn't even shake her from his dreams. Maybe sleep would just add onto it all.... and once more, he'll dream.

Dream of her.

After the successful Robbery Dust now finally needed to deliver the cash to a group, she was exhausted but she had high hopes this would be the end soon to her misery, she took her mask off just to wipe the blood from her mouth, the impact that Starfire cause crushing her into the wall was close enough to leading to fatal damage. She quickly place her metal mask back to her mouth before she place her map away and continue down the path to find the evil group.

My heart was pounded, I hope this would be enough.. I mean 5000, surely they would let me and my mother go! I desperately hope that they would finally tell me where she was at least.. if they don't I would probably flip! but what would I do if this happen...I'll never find her, they would't tell me cause they would be dead, and I would be worse then what they would ever be, but I did wonder was she already be dead..? I hope not, I just went through major trouble and I still had to continue!

Once I approach the mysterious warehouse I witness so many familiar face, they were unpleasant... but there was one I despise the most, the leader.
''Have you brought my money?'' I simply nodded, with a hateful glare ''I done what you ask now release her!'' I couldn't help but snap at those I wanted to kill so desperately.

''Uh, well.... There are a few things you still have to do...remember?'' I notice he said it with a hint of nerve, was this man having a joke with me?! ''You know the titan tower??''

Oh no... ''Yes...?''

''I want you to go inside and collect their blue prints of the building, with this mon--''

''Woawoawoawaoh! Are you fricken nuts?! how am I meant to get into a high secured base?! I maybe enchanted with dust powers but that do-''

''Do you not want to see her again??'' Those words always strike straight through my chest, but I was strong, I wouldn't become emotional over this, I knew the one I care deeply for wouldn't want me to give up either, she would want me to be strong.

''Y-yeah..'' I blurted, furious but I let him know calmly ''If... I have to, then I'll tr--''

''YOU WILL''

''I... will and... get those blue prints'' Afterwards I storm out, they had high hopes that I would get the job done but hell, Of course this would be extremely difficult.... But I was ready and was going to pounce at the right time.

Raven's eyes opened, and her eyes focused on the green figure next to her. In her bed. He was fast asleep, and the sight of him made her heart race. She realized that she wasn't clothed, and from the looks of it, neither was he. She smiled, actually smiled, and tried to get closer. But the closer she got, the further away he got. Her brows drew together as confusion took over. She reached out to touch him, but her hand fell through. "Beast Boy..." She whispered. She decided to try once more to get closer, then she felt herself falling.

Down...down...down... Falling a further distance than just the bed and the floor. She closed her eyes.

When she reopened them, she found herself on an unfamiliar floor. She blinked. She felt the familiar weight of her cape, and the familiar tightness of her leotard. She sighed sadly. She began to rise up, and take in her surroundings. She was in a dark room, she couldn't see anything. "Hello?" She cried out. Then the laughter began. Slow at first, but then picking up both speed and volume. "This isn't funny..." She said loudly. The laughter became familiar.

Her friends... Her father... People she's saved... People she's failed...

"Poor, poor Raven. She can't do anything right. She is always sad, but her sadness is a delight." A male's voice mocked at her.

"Poor, poor Raven. She isn't always mean. Her life is a disaster, if only it was a dream!" The voice continued, as other joined in the terrible rhyme.

"I can't believe you thought I could actually love you!" Beast Boys voice laughed.

"No...no...no.." Raven's voice shook, as her hands grabbed her head in an attempt to drown out the voices.

"Poor, poor Raven. She has friends, that's true... but what she doesn't know, is they only pity you!" She voice began to sing in mockery.

"Poor, poor Raven..." The voices sang as they seemed to get closer.

"Stop...Please stop..." Raven said as she clenched her skull between her hands.

"You were supposed to make me proud, Raven. You are just a disappointment." The voice of her father said.

"Poor, poor Raven..." The voices continued to sing.

"Please..." She begged weakly.

Raven's body shook, and sweat continued to build from her hairline.

"No." She voiced. "Please stop." She said as she continued to turn about. Her eyes remained closed, tightly so, and her hands were curled up, balling her sheets within her fists.

"Poor, poor Raven... The light will soon go out, But then it will begin, my dear, your fears will roam about..." His voice calmed at the end, and the chanting slowly stopped, but her nightmare had only begun...

Quite honestly, Ben was about 79% sure that helping this stranger was a horrible idea. Suspiciously "bumping" into a sketchy dude who didn't have any contacts to speak of in the early hours of the morning? It didn't seem anywhere near probable. The thing that made him the most sure that something was up, however, was the fact that Ben hadn't been inconvenienced, maimed, or attacked in the last half hour. At the very least, he should have fallen into a puddle or something by now. He was probably due for a stroke of bad luck, and it seemed very possible that the stranger was the deliverer.

But Ben wasn't completely shut off from human contact. It was the decent thing to do, to help others in need. It was what all of the heroes did on a daily basis, right? It wasn't like anyone was going to write an article about it or anything (unless things went horribly wrong, which they often did, and he ended up dead in a ditch somewhere). but maybe if he was able to make someone else's day a little better, he would be able to live with his horrible luck.

Ah, heck. He was going to face a horrible disaster, wasn't he?

Ben bend down and extended his hand. "I'll help you back to your house," he said. "But I suggest that you call someone to aid you from there."
