Beast Boy silently snored as he continued to sleep. He then rolled over with his paw laying across Raven's neck. His back raised and lowered itself in a steady pace to his light breathing. He was unaware of what was happening around him, and his mind was completely clear. As his sleep deepened, he subconsiously snuggled up against Raven's face and curled up into a tight ball, while his tail twitched and rubbed against her neck softly.

Raven smiled slightly as the kitten moved about, so she settled for moving him to her lap, as she was trying to sit up. She calmly ran her fingers through his fur as he slept, though she was still watching the strange woman in the room.


"I'm Raven." She said, finally, breaking the silence. This woman had something dark about her, underneath the light. Raven had a knack for seeing it. Calypso was trying to hide it, maybe she was ashamed of it. She eyed the skull warily, wondering why she would carry it around.


Of course, Raven couldn't blame her, she had carried skulls around before, uncaringly. That wasn't what made Raven tense. It was the way she stared at it.


There was something about her she couldn't shake off.

Calypso was caught staring off for a while until Raven snapped her out of it with words. "Oh. Right. Sorry. " calypso was extremely uncomfitorble in this whole situation. The hospital in general scare her.


"Cute cat! Got a name? Good thing Grimora's not here. He likes to nibble cat's fur and give them funny hairdos. He's a horse by the way."

Neb nodded before picking up on more energy coming by. It caught him by surprise. The amount of electricity and energy Cryborg had was beginning to drive him insane. It hurt his energy sight. He could feel the energy rolling off him in sheets. He quickly slipped the mask back over his eyes to keep him from looking into anyone's eyes.


Neb turned to his dog form and snarled in Cy's direction, unsure if he was friend or enemy. In hell a huge energy field meant a strong demon, so he was incredibly weary of him.

Terra cried out and looked up, recognizing the T-Car immediately. As Cyborg approached her, the sound of a large semi-automatic mini gun was heard loading from somewhere in the shadows, pointed at Terra's heart.


"Cyborg! Where's the rest of the Team?" she asked as a voice came from an intercom system.





"You took the bait quite nicely Mechanical Misfit! Move, and Terra gets filled so full of holes that her own mother wouldn't recognize her! I was hoping to meet the green skinned kid and his emo lover, but I suppose we can still kill you first!"


The Wizard of Odds walked into the room, but was revealed to be a hologram. "Come back with Beast Boy, and the next one won't be a warning shot!" He snapped and the mini gun unloaded fifteen bullets into Terra's right knee.





"And I would do what we say. Or well... a lot of babies are going to die of laughter in about... twenty minutes give or take..." The Joker Cackled through the intercom as Terra's shoulder went limp from loss of blood. "This has been an announcement for the Teen Titans, Brought to you by the Demented Duo! Joker and Odds! If Robin happens to be listening to this message... WELCOME TO JOKER'S MADHOUSE! HAHAHAHAHAHA!"


"Just leave me Cy... I betrayed you all... I don't have powers anymore... I don't deserve to live. Just tell Beast Boy I will never forget him. And... tell Raven to take care of him..." She was in a state of helplessness, losing a lot of blood, and depressed too much to think about how BB would feel if he heard her say any of that.

As soon as more to Tera's blood spilled a snarl ripped from the hellhound. He lost interest in cyborg and took up interest in the new wizard man. The urge to go tward the blood was pulling on him. But he had to stay and protect sage. This new guy sounded quite threatening and leaving Sage for the blood could cost him his mate. Neb riped a wicked snarl and his fur began to shoulder as flames engulfed him.

Cyborg was still attempting to figure out why Terra was here, what to do about her arm, and how to help; all when a voice overtook his thoughts. "Mechanical Misfit!? I am not a Misfit! Come out here!" The figure showed himself to be a man with penetrating red eyes and a wicked gold smile. When he referred to Raven and Beast Boy, Cyborg became livid, but the bullets ringing into Terra's body made him think carefully and calculating.


Semi-Auto machine gun, they obviously have cameras and some form of devices for monitoring the room. I know the best course of action. Cyborg's eye glowed red as he activated the T-Car's electromagnetic jammer, rendering any footage or connection to the outside of the room useless. In the same moment Cyborg threw himself in front of the turret, then blasted it away. Scanning the room for any other threats, Cyborg waited to take the attack for Terra and then destroy the enemy if they showed themselves.


"Terra, before I can help you, I need to know where they went. If anybody else is in danger, you need to tell me." Cyborg's mechanical body loomed over the small girl, face not showing any of the inner strife happening in Cyborg's mind.

Sage decided to try and stay calm and followed Neb. Sage looked at the bleeding girl and ran over to her. " Oh no. "Sage said before he noticed how Neb was acting. " Neb that is enough , stop it right now. " Sage ordered as he folded his arms and stood in front of Cy.

Raven was extremely amused at the idea of a horse giving Beast Boy a hairdo in cat form. "Uh, Yeah. Garfield." She said, slightly uncomfortable giving out Beast Boy's real name, but she knew she would feel even more uncomfortable having to explain Beast Boy's powers. "So, uh, what's with the skull?" She asked, awkwardly.

Neb's head was in a haze, the jammer's signal still his everything ringing and memories of hell haunted him.


Shiro. Kill them.


Memories of fighting in the lake of fire, hounds fighting each other in bloody battle far past the point of death as they burned. The face of the wicked demon king himself stung his mind as the signals forced it out of him.


He whimpered in sheer agony, fighting it.


Shiro. I said kill them, bitch.


I'm no bitch. Not anymore. Suddenly... Something in Shiro broke. He remembered everything. Why he left hell, what happened to him... And where that god forsaken name came from. Shiro.... He hoped to never hear that name ever again.


His head cleared of the madness, yet still hurt from the jammer. He then laid down,mrolling over to show his belly in submission. Showing that he was done being violent and that Sage was in charge again.


I can remember now... Why I'm here. I'm sorry master. Something messed up my energy sense and made me remember some... Unpleasant things.

Calypso frowned when the identity of the skull was brought into question. She sighed choosing her words carfully.


"This is one of the reasons shrapnel needs to die. This skull belonged to Benzene. My mate until his death about a month ago. He gave himself up so I would not fall into Shrapnel's murderous rage. This is only one in the mountain of bodies he has created."


A tear ran down her cheek, but she didn't seem to be sad he was dead. Simply glad he lived in the first place.


"Ever loved someone so much? So much that just their words could make your life joy?" Calypso gave a light smile before laughing out loud. "That sounds exactly like something he'd say. He was very poetic.

Sage sighed and crouched before rubbing Neb's belly. " Its ok , don't worry about it. " He said before he walked over to the bleeding girl again. " We need to help her somehow. " Sage said as he crouched next to her before he the wound on Terra's chest to stop the bleeding.

"The hospital... they went to the hospital. And they know Raven is injured... I heard them talking when they hacked the security cameras." Terra answered Cyborg's question. "Something about flooding the maternity ward with Joker Venom."





In response to Sage, she smiled sadly. "These restraints won't undo themselves. And I'm Terra by the way... also, I need someone to patch up my arm so I don't bleed to death." she was still crying from pain, but was not audibly sobbing at this point, trying to put on a brave face for Cyborg's sake.





Footsteps were heard approaching Raven's room. then they stopped as she asked. "What's with the skull?"





"I don't know... we could always find out what's with YOURS!" Odds laughed as the door was blasted open with C4 and he walked in. "So... are you going to save yourselves... or the 86 babies in the maternity ward that my partner is going to victimize in about five minutes? Sure, you could kill me, but you would lose a very dear friend AND a bunch of newborns! think of what the city would do to the Titans then!!! Well... Ta ta for now. Oh, and Raven... good luck! Heheheheh..."





Just then the Hospital intercom came online and said. "Attention all employees. you have three minutes to leave the maternity ward, after which time it will be filled with Joker Venom. If you choose to stay, well... Hope you like laughing! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Neb rolled back over and sat back on his haunches, watching Sage and paying attention to him. Waiting for his command. Neb then remembered he had heard that fire works to stop bleeding. He blew a low flame and touched it to Terra's arm to try and cauterize the wound to stop the bleeding... Oddly enough the smell didn't bother him anymore. Neb's fire was different than regular fire. Neb generated hellfire, and hellfire was known to never extinguish unless met with holy water or salt. The pain would probably be excruciating, but it should burn off the blood still.


Neb then licked Terra's face, as if trying to comfort her.

Finally awakening, Beast Boy jumped out of Raven's bed and transformed into human form while in midair; landing on all threes with his one arm hung up in the air. Standing up and taking a defensive stance, Beast Boy snarled at the strange man. "You're forgetting one thing dung face... there's more than one of us here. Who says we can't kill you and save this hospital?"


Beast Boy turned and saw Calypso in the corner, holding fast to the skull that was nuzzled up to her chest. He smiled, and... decided to use this opportunity to draw Raven's suspicions off of him. "C'mon babe.. I know you can fight! Help me take down ugly over here and then we can save some babies!" He said as he gave her a playful wink.

The Wizard of Odds smirked and snapped his fingers.

The recording of that broken, beaten and distraught Terra began playing on an endless loop from the PA system as the wizard suddenly picked up the cane he was leaning on, and shouted "Shadra Diagra Comantra!" as the cane morphed to a small sphere, and his already wide smirk grew wider. "Oooohhh Boy! A Thermal Detonator! So Beastie, we could end this here and take out the entire city block... or you can let the babies die and save your beloved Terra from certain death! Your move. I mean... you could always save the babies, but Terra will bleed out by then... Heheh." his smirk got even bigger, "You know this is exactly how I pictured your face would look when given the chance to save a hospital, your ex-girlfriend, or just die and bring a city block with you! Well? What'll it be?"





"Ahhh shhhhhit that smarts. thanks boy!" Terra said, now unrestrained. "I don't think I'll be of much hel-" several weapons were heard loading. "Aaaand we're surrounded. Just. Perfect. must have noticed their cameras were off."





Cue 20 gunmen in red eyed gold toothed masks.


"The boss wants the girl alive. Rip tech boy to shreds. the other one is of no consequence. AND SOMEONE KILL THE BITCH! NOW!"

Neb suddenly decided he liked terra. He pushed his head into her side as if to help her lean on him to walk and not strain herself. The second they were surrounded he gave a loud snarl. A ring of fire exploded around them and encased them in an ever burning wall of flames. The hellfire roared as Neb's rage grew, protecting sage was his first priority and these men had guns pointed in his general direction. These 20 jokers were now going to have to deal with one pissed hellhound.


Neb may have been strong but he wasn't bullet proof, nor was the fire it just kept them back. Without a second thought he lept through the wall of flames and went straight for the face of one of the masked men, teeth gouging into his face, he tackled him down and went to attack the one to his left. He kept his fur smoldering so physical contact would burn any attacker, but being shot from the right was a big risk. He hoped sage or Cy could cover his open side.

Calypso snarled as soon as she heard kids were involved. She kicked over a table and loaded three arrows, firing all three in wizard's general direction before going for him with her claws. "Beast boy, what's a thermal detonator?!" She asked as she fought.

Beast Boy fell to his knees as he put his hands to his head. "Aaaaaaaagh!!! NO... Terra! AGH!" He screamed as he closed his eyes. He laid on his knees, helpless.. and not knowing what to do. Raven was in bed, still in an unstable condition, the hospital was rigged, Terra was in trouble, and most importantly Robin was nowhere to be found. He didn't know what to do, he was so lost in discouragement... and he felt so.. so weak.


Calypso yelled something to him, and he was barely able to make it out. "It's something that will blow up at least half of this building and kill a lot of people Cally..." He told her solemnly. What was a guy like him to do? He thought over the situation. He looked at Raven, with so many words he wanted to say to her flowing in his head.


No... I can't be distracted. Not during this...


Beast Boy made a decision. He turned on his comm and called out to Cyborg. "Hey Cy, I don't know if you're there, but... I need your help! I heard Terra is in terrible trouble, but from what I heard her say... you're already there. I can't make it... so please... PLEASE save her. I have something I need to do." He turned his head towards Calypso. "Cally, you fend off any villains and lackies that come in here, and I'll try to disarm the bombs."

Calypso growled. "Aye sir! I- uhoh." She reached back for an arrow and realized she was out... She slid back behind the desk and checked her supplies. She had 10 partially made arrows, but all missed arrowheads.


"Raven? What can you do to keep them off me? I need a minute." Calypso called, looking about to see what she could use for arrowheads until... She saw a vase. Perfect. She picked the vase up off the window seal and slammed it to the ground, binding the pieces to the shaft of the arrows. They were a bit lighter than stone or bones, but they'd have to do. She was back to picking off lackies again. Until...


*smash* marauder broke the window behind her, sending glass down her back. She screamed in pain. This severely limited her mobility for calypso never wore shoes... The floor was covered in glass and she had to fight. Thanks. A lot.


"Really man?! There's a door do this place. Air vent even. And you chose glass?" Calypso growled, reloading her arrow.

Raven was staring at the tubes that were inside her arm, and holding her too the bed. Not wasting much of any time, she focused, and removed them with her magic, as well as the heart monitor attachments on her. A loud noise filled the air, but she just shook it off. She pulled the sheet free from the bed, and looped it around her body and secured it, hoping that would do for coverage.


She moved passed the bed, to get a clearer view of what was happening. Then she saw movement. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" She cried as she cast a powerful spell in the same direction Calypso was firing arrows. She reached over and grabbed the bed as she began to feel lightheaded. The minute it passed, she got up. "Tell me where to go."

"You, are going back to bed." Beast Boy commanded Raven. He ran up to her and grabbed her, and heaved her up back on the bed. He turned into a cheetah, and was ready to dart out of the door before he looked back at her. "Stay!" He pleaded before lunging outside of the room. He sniffed the air before making a mad dash towards the bombs.

Raven was confused. They needed her help. Her health was the last thing on her mind. She moved to get off the bed.


But she heard the pleading tone in his voice. Suddenly she stopped.


The confliction went on, and she looked at Calypso. She was running out of arrows, fast.


"UGH!" The frustrastion became too much.


She came up with a master plan. She used her magic, and moved her bed, angling it just right. With a smirk, she began to cast spells.

Calypso gigglad as she saw raven's loophole. Genious!


"Nice one!" She laughed, deciding to save her last five arrows before trying to get up. The pain in her back made her yelped slightly. Thanks to marauder's grand entrance she had been showered with glass shards and afew managed to slip under her skin. The ground was covered with glass shards, but luckily Raven got the bad guys back far enough she could think and not waste arrows. She pushed the table she was using as a bullet wall onto the floor upside down so she could stand on it without fear of standing in glass. However she was now susceptible to being shot.
