Morgan tilted her head aside slightly as she noted Adelaide's flushed cheeks, she idly wondered if she had said something that would be considered embarrassing, or possibly naive of her knowledge of the human social structure. She glanced to Chase and Eli as they parted, hesitating briefly to follow, she was here to keep him safe after all, and so far there had been zero evidence of anyone attempting to harm herself or him for that matter, anything could happen while they were separated. Chase made it clear he had no interest or need for her to follow so her focus returned to Addy as she accepted an invitation to the pack.

She smiled some, glancing around briefly before leaning inward to speak softly into Addy's ear. "Well," She said quietly, grinning. "Since I'm the next Alpha, I don't think Emile can say much about my decisions." She leaned back and gave Addy a playful wink, smile broadening. "Unfortunately that will have to wait until after...." Her smile faded slightly, not wanting to say the remainder of her sentence, knowing the implications of it. The pack was going to 'attack' the colony in a matter of less than two weeks; and whether or not Addy still wanted the invitation after that would come to what happened the night of.

She bit her lip, thinking before fishing her cell phone out of her pocket and holding it out to Addy. "Here, put your number in. Maybe... maybe we can meet up later? After I go back?" She knew she could travel a fair ways from the pack -she had no restrictions and could go where she pleased, but driving certainly wasn't a possibility for her. She would have to meet Addy away from both the pack and human society -she'd have to get there on four legs.

Chase shook his head to answer Elijah's question, he trusted the mans discretion on the matter. Then it took a moment for Chase to catch on to the small joke but smiled once he had and stood back up from the bed, "Don't think it'll be my permission that's needed." He said jokingly whilst looking under and around the cot to make sure everything was put into the box. Once it was settled he moved it into Elijah's lap without asking, then started pushing the wheelchair back towards the exit.

"I won't be coming back until afterwards." Chase said sullenly as he set a course towards the parking lot with plans to place the box of belongings in the Toyota. "It sounds like I'm going to be on house arrest, of sorts. Which considering the circumstances is a light sentence if you ask me." Chase shrugged, the man didn't like the idea of not being here the night of the event and he'd probably argue with Emile over it but he suspected the Alpha had his mind made up on the subject. "You can get my number from Will. Call if something comes up." He wasn't sure how fair it was to offer that if he couldn't actually help if need be. But if nothing else the hunter might like a chat at some point, considering the amount of people he currently has irked.

William saw the dubious look on Eddie's face and in truth he couldn't blame him. Even a few days ago when he and Elijah first came to Vitae he had held the same doubts about their keeping it what was out there a secret. As the man asked about accommodations, Will nodded quickly. "The barracks will have an extra cot for you," he said, pointing in the direction of the distant building. "It's mostly lone Hunters living there, but you'll be welcome."

Elijah Main.jpg
Elijah shot Chase a playful glare as the box was unceremoniously placed in his lap before draping a protective arm across the top of it to keep it from toppling over as the man wheeled him away. He listened as Chase remarked that he wouldn't be returning, noting the use of the word "afterwards". Elijah knew he was talking about the night of the attack... he considered saying that it would be a moot point if none of them survived but resisted the urge. After all, he'd be tucked away safely with a woman who currently hated him (deservedly so) while his friends fought for their lives.

All the same, Eli was surprised -- and pleased -- that Chase offered him his support in spirit if nothing else. Wishing to avoid anything that could be construed as the actual sincerity he felt, he looked up at Chase with an arched eyebrow. "Look at you, trying to get a side piece here at Vitae. Your Alpha not enough for you?" His expression softened as he let out a deep breath, relenting, his tone losing its joking nature. "I... thank you. I appreciate it."

Adelaide 3.jpg
Adelaide was surprised as Morgan leaned toward her, turning her head aside as the werewolf whispered before stepping back to smile. Addy's own smile returned as she raised her eyebrows, her interest in Morgan only grew with the more she learned about the woman. Adelaide was surprised -- and delighted -- that Morgan trusted her enough to tell her this and that she found out from the woman's own lips rather than searching her thoughts uninvited. Morgan's next remark dampened her mood somewhat, not needing the young woman to finish her sentence to understand what she meant. It only served to put into perspective how ridiculous this conversation -- and the promises contained within -- really was. Still, the knowledge did nothing to mitigate her curiosity.

Adelaide grinned as Morgan offered her her phone, immediately restoring her mood. She took it with a thankful nod, navigating the screens to the contact list and adding her number. Addy handed the device back to Morgan, "Feel free to call or text whenever you like," she offered quietly. "Even if it's just to talk, or ask more questions," she added with a wink.

zlawuat.jpg

Morgan smiled as Addy took her phone and added her number for it. She reclaimed it, holding it a moment in her hand -almost wanted to see the number immediately before deciding to slip it back into her pocket. As much as she wanted to reveal the whole truth to Addy, about what to expect -what was coming, she knew she couldn't defy what was planned by her uncle and Alpha. She may be the next in line, but she certainly did not have the power and sway on this day. She took a slight step back, suddenly aware of their proximity and how it may be seen by others here. They may not be aware of who she was but Emile's inside man was still here, not to mention Chase. If something did go awry on the night they came, she did not want to be blamed for it.

"Thank you," She smiled sincerely, "You've made this, all of this, a lot easier." She glanced the way Chase had gone, before looking over the remaining hunters around them still milling about and speaking to each other. "I know not many would be as kind as you are." She looked back to Adelaide. "Or as trusting and I really appreciate everything, really. I don't... I haven't been around humans much -aside from those we live with. I know hunters are not typical for human society, but it's still a huge leap from what I've seen back home. There is so much I wan to explore, to ask, I wish we had the time."

They arrived at the back of the Toyota in the parking lot as Elijah made himself out to be a mistress, Chase scoffed with a grin as he maneuvered out in front of the wheelchair and grabbed the box from the other mans lap. "Gotta have a man in every port." Chase joked, referencing back in the old days when Sailors would quote such things. Now with the box in one hand he fished the keys out of his pocket and unlocked the hatchback before popping it open. He heard the thank-you from behind as Chase shoved the box into the back of the vehicle and turned around with a nod.

"It's for me as much as it is for you. I don't want to lose my connection to this place, or the lifestyle. Just because I'm out there with them it doesn't mean I give up who I am." Chase smiled at him, shrugging his shoulders before reaching an arm and shutting the back door. "Sometimes I might need a reminder of that." He gave a playful wink before once again positioning himself behind the wheelchair and moving again. The Toyota would remain in Vitae locked up and hopefully safe, and Chase would decide what to do with Joe's belongings when he had more time. For now he wanted to get back just to make sure Morgan was okay.

Elijah nodded his understanding of Chase's philosophy. He wasn't totally at ease with the man joining the Pack not having seen them firsthand, but he was glad that he wasn't cutting off all ties with Vitae and the hunting life. "I get that," he said quietly. "I'll talk to Will about everything, make sure he pushes the Council. I can't make any promises, but..." his voice trailed off as she shrugged.

Adelaide's smile faded as she sensed conflict in Morgan's surface thoughts, unsure of the cause and not willing to pry in order to find out even as the younger woman took a small backwards step. She wondered if she had somehow offended Morgan, but her fears were set aside as she once again spoke. Addy returned the smile, hands clasped in front of her. "And thank you for being so open with me... considering the circumstances. It's been fun meeting you, learning about you. I hope we're able to do it again sometime," she said hopefully.

The hunter he was currently escorting around mentioned pushing Will to push the council and while Chase knew how he should have felt about it he wasn't sure. "Just...you guys be careful okay? We've seen how Vitae acts to wolf sympathizers. Blackmail, murder, mobs. If Will pokes his head too far up someone might try and chop it off, so to speak." The man let out a sigh, eyes wandering to the surrounding buildings with the graveyard just down the street. "It's why I can't fault him for holding back, even if it wasn't for Mac. He won't take the leap of faith because of those he cares about. But that's the same reason why I have to take the leap of faith." Chase spoke sympathetically, understanding why Will did what he did because Chase was doing the same thing on a different path.

Elijah was clearly feeling down and Chase simply smiled, taking one hand from the handlebar to ruffle the other mans hair a little playfully to gain his attention once again. "I can imagine you are feeling a little powerless but you got us this far Savior. If not for you then Pan might have killed us all. Just let some of us take the lead for a bit, then when your back on your feet you can go back to showing us up with that sword of yours." Chase mused at the thought, remembering the other man had been wielding it back in New York. "Don't look so glum, someone might think your dad just died or something." Chase added sarcastically, knowing it wasn't really funny all things considered but he was sure Joe wouldn't have minded. And despite having just finishing the funeral and collecting his belongings his talk with Elijah had been enough to keep his mind occupied.

Elijah understood Chase's reason for concern. The incident with Joe and Mac before him had made it abundantly clear that any suspected wolf sympathizers were not safe in Vitae at the best of times. However, Eli was impressed with Chase's understanding of Will's position; he wasn't sure it was an empathy he would share in his shoes. Elijah shot Chase another faux warning glare when the werewolf ruffled his hair, though in truth he didn't mind the gesture. His expression slowly shifted to a small smile as he nodded at Chase's attempts to cheer him up at being "benched". Elijah gingerly lifted one arm to give Chase a playful backwards tap with his elbow. "I'm supposed to be the one consoling you, not the other way around," he said lightly.

He sighed exaggeratedly. "Just don't forget your bedridden 'Savior' while you and your Alpha are finding ways to occupy yourselves on house arrest for the next few days."

Morgan had worried, and still did, that Addy would get caught up in everything during the lunar event, when the pack came for the colony. She knew the plans, the hopes to keep everyone inside the colony safe from harm until the leaders could come together in some sort of agreement, but there was always variables, always risks that could occur without anyone able to prevent it. She felt compelled to tell Adelaide what was to come, to assure and fears she might have but revealing their plans could be detrimental in the long run.

Morgan laughed and nodded as Adelaide mentioned meeting again. "You won't be able to stop me." She assured with a playful wink. "You owe me a trip to bowling and the drive in theater...."She paused in thought. "Do you know how to drive?"

When Elijah spoke on wanting to be kept in mind while he was with Emile Chase shook his head in disbelief whilst holding back a chuckle that faded into a smirk, "I will wheel you into oncoming traffic, don't tempt me." Elijah had also mentioned that he was supposed to be doing the consoling but it was more than enough just having someone to talk to that wasn't a wolf, even for a moment.

The others came into view as Chase pushed Elijah along the paved sidewalk, most having not really moved from where they were when the two had left. He maneuvered the wheelchair back onto the cemetery grounds heading towards Adelaide and Morgan, guessing if Eli had an issue or wanted to go elsewhere he'd speak up. "Ladies," Chase greeted with a small smile, "Hope we aren't interrupting." He spoke whilst slowing down the pace of the Wheelchair until it stopped close enough before leaning forwards and propping himself against the back of it slightly. The smell of freshly cut grass thick in the air as Chase glanced around the area before focusing on Morgan. "Had to take care of something." The mans right hand reaching over to touch the watch on his left wrist, as if to make sure it was still there.

Adelaide continued to sense the same inner conflict in Morgan, though she refused the temptation to trace it to its roots. In all likelihood she shared Addy's own fears about the night the Pack came for Vitae in force and what it meant for either of them. Adelaide pushed the worries aside as Morgan laughed, a sound Addy was already beginning to like.

Adelaide smiled broadly at Morgan's wink and the declaration that followed it. She chuckled, "Yes, I do, and I have a car. I'd be happy to play chauffeur for wolf royalty," Addy added in a hushed tone, returning the wink.

Elijah grinned at Chase's threat but said nothing as he was wheeled back to the cemetery. He was somewhat surprised to see Adelaide and Emily still embroiled in conversation. He wondered what it was about Chase's companion that had caught her eye and just what her intentions actually were. As Chase approached them, Eli looked between the two women with interest.

Adelaide turned toward Chase and Elijah after they returned. "No, we were just saying our goodbyes," she said somewhat reluctantly. She glanced down at the watch now adorning Chase's wrist with a knowing smile. The man seemed to be far more at peace than he had mere moments ago and she was happy to feel it.

Elijah glanced at Morgan apologetically. "I hope my friend didn't put you off of Vitae. She has that effect on people I'm afraid," he smirked, pointedly ignoring the glare he received from Addy.

Morgan turned her attention, regretfully, towards the two men as they approached; she certainly had not missed Adelaide's final comment as it had encouraged a slight flush to rise to her cheeks. She wanted to respond but she knew Chase would easily pick up anything she said as he neared. She was far from ashamed of her flirtation with the witch, in fact she was very proud of her forward nature -she had learned from the best so far as she was concerned, but she didn't want Chase to think for a second she was here for anything but him.

Elijah commented on Addy's company while he was away with Chase, she arched and eyebrow but smiled to the man in the wheelchair. "Actually Adelaide has done a great job bringing Vitae's highlights and features forward; made the whole colony seem like a genuinely nice place to live." She glanced to Chase as mentioned needing to do something, she could only imagine it had to do with his father given the wolf had returned with a new scent -one she did not recognize. "Anything else you want to get done while we're here?" She offered, not wanting him to leave without feeling like he had some closure.

Chase watched the exchange between the man and woman, clearing his throat before chiming in. "You have a lot of friends like that huh? Considering my own exit from Vitae and your other friend's involvement." Chase mused at the thought, though he wasn't entirely sure how much Will had explained so it was plausible his humor could go the wrong direction because of that.

As Morgan mentioned that Adelaide had spoken on what made Vitae great he was glad that someone had given the other Werewolf that sort of insight. Chase knew full well he couldn't have. She proceeded to ask if there as anything else he needed to do and the man shook his head. He wondered if she had maybe hit her limit and wanted to get back to the pack, "Nothing in particular but I thought we might stop by a shop or two before we leave if you'd like to look or buy something. What do you say?" Chase raised his brows and shrugged with the genuine offer, though he kept it very neutral so he didn't push her one way or the other. He'd noted the look she had when they drove through Vitae, the curiosity that was likely sizzling in her brain. Chase also got the feeling she didn't have any money so he added, "My treat."

Admittedly the wolf wasn't one for shopping even for the basics so while it wouldn't be his cup of tea he wouldn't deny her potential enjoyment. However he knew he needed to rope someone else into it, possibly Ashley since he owed her a chat before leaving...and she seemed the type to enjoy browsing wares.

Adelaide cocked her head slightly, smiling at Morgan as she responded to Elijah's teasing. Elijah opened his mouth to reply, when Chase spoke up. Eli shrugged noncommittally at his jab, having an idea of what he was referring to and not wishing to dredge up the topic in their current company. Still, that didn't mean the comment would go unanswered. When Chase offered to take his companion to a few stores before leaving, Elijah faked a look deep thought. "You know," he began, "I think the general store at the north end stocks chew toys and Kibble--" he was cut off with a pained yelp as Adelaide kicked his uninjured shin with her dress shoes, shooting him a glare.

"Behave," she said flatly. Eli returned the fierce look for a moment, leaning down gingerly to rub at his shin.

After wrapping up the conversation with Eddie, Will grabbed two cups, filling them with the lemonade before rounding the cemetery to approach Mackenzie and Ashley-May. He crept up slowly behind his girlfriend, wrapping his arms -- each hand still holding the cups -- around her waist. "I was right," he murmured, resting his chin briefly atop her head. "You do look gorgeous in that dress. You should listen to Ash more often." With a grin, he offered both women their drinks, remembering Ash's chastisement from earlier.

Morgan's smile widened into a grin as Chase suggested touring the small town and even shopping, she was about to agree when he added My Treat. She laughed and nodded stepping in to his side and hooking an arm within his, as she had before in the chapel. She glanced back to Eli and his derogatory comments, her smile fading slightly until Adelaide hushed him. Morgan was uncertain whether or not the man had been joking but she certainly didn't appreciate the comments. She trailed her eyes down then back up his form. "Injured or not, Mac was right: you are an asshole." She turned her attention back to Adelaide, keeping her smile pleasant. "It was nice meeting you, Addy. And I will get in touch if I have any more questions." She gave the other woman a playful wink before glancing to Chase. "Shopping sounds great, maybe we can find something for Uncle?"

Ashley-May had had her hands full keeping the pocket sized hunter at bay. Mac had figured out who 'Emily' was -not full details but enough to know she came from the pack and was a werewolf too, and brought Ash into the fold. From then it was everything she could do to keep Mac away from the woman with Addy. At first it had been easy, she had been distraught after the ceremony, after speaking about Joe. She had never known her own father, but had lost her mother only years before -she understood the pain that Chase was going through, even if the context was different. After she had settled she had to continually keep Mac in check: first asking her not to leave -fearing Eli would approach her, but when Eli and Chase had gone off together leaving Will at the table with a few of the other colonist and Addy still talking to the female wolf, she had become more creative. "Addy knows for sure, I bet she's over there pulling everything about the pack out of that wolfs mind." That had been enough to stay Mac for the time being.

Upon seeing Will detach from the colony and head their direction she was relieved, at least she would have a second person to help keep Mac from being a hunter for just one night. Ash accepted the drink from Will's hand, bright eyes narrowing on Mac. "Told you so."

Mackenzie, after taking the cup from Will's hand, tilted her head back to regard the man that towered over her. "You know what she is, right?" She questioned, not even commenting on his praise or compliment. She heard Ash hiss and she growled in response, rolling her eyes. "Sorry." She murmured quietly, she was far to aware of who she was, and her social faults.

"I'm going to grab something to eat," Ash mumbled, stepping past Will and tapping him on the shoulder. "Tag, you're it." Before heading towards the refreshments.

Mac turned within his arm so she was facing him, dark eyes watching his expression. A slow smile crossing her lips. "You know I'm only wearing the fluffy thing because you asked me to, right?"

With Elijah's sarcastic comment Chase couldn't even get mad enough to scowl for the fact that his lips were curled into a smile, further amusement to be brought on by the fact that the the hunter had been interrupted by a rather low blow from Adelaide. It faded as Morgan linked them together with her arm, the man tensing it slightly so if she gave any pull it wouldn't give. However the females Werewolf's reaction to the sarcastic comment was clearly one of distaste, he was suddenly aware that maybe Morgan had far more pride as a Wolf than Chase did so the comments that rolled off his back wouldn't go over as easy with her.

"Go easy on him." Chase gave her a mostly pleading glance with a hint of scolding in there. "He doesn't mean anything by it, that's just how we have a go at each other." The man shrugged, to be fair he and Elijah hadn't really had enough conversations to know if such comments and jokes would be a normal but with their personalities it wasn't hard to assume, but he knew Elijah used them for mere innocent sarcastic purposes. "Right now that mouth is all he's got to use as a weapon." It was the return jab for the kibble and chew-toy comment, despite knowing he might be walking a fine line on Elijah's pride he felt comfortable enough that the hunter wouldn't take it to heart. It was more to show Morgan the interplay between them.

When she mentioned shopping for Emile he gave her a nod, "Sure, why not. Though you'd know more about what he might like far more than I would." He wasn't trying to lower himself but state the truth, Chase had little idea of the mans likes or tastes and she'd had a lifetime with the Alpha to learn them. "Take care you two." Chase called out with a smile as the man turned his head back towards Elijah and Adelaide and gave them both a wave goodbye with his free arm as he and Morgan moved in unison at a slow pace and still linked at the arms. Once looking back at the path before them his attention went to Morgan, "We're going to pick up a third wheel so long as she's interested and you don't mind." He half-asked her, already eyeing the blonde woman over at the refreshment table near the outskirts of the cemetery.

Elijah bowed his head like a scolded child at Morgan's reply, not having taken a moment to consider how Chase's companion would react to his ribbing. He was opening his mouth to apologize -- needing no extra encouragement despite Adeliade's continued glare -- when Chase defended his comment. He held his hands up in plaintive resignation as the man mentioned -- entirely correctly -- that Elijah's wit was about all he could contribute at this point.

Addy's glare immediately disappeared as Morgan addressed her, replaced by a slight smile. "Likewise. You two have fun," she said as the werewolves departed, watching them go. Adelaide sighed, turning to take up the handles of the wheelchair. "One day I'm going to kill you with my mind before you have a chance to say something stupid," she muttered.

Eli looked up at her with raised eyebrows, a devious grin on his face. "Why? Afraid I'll embarrass you in front of your new friend?" He paused briefly, narrowing his eyes inquisitively. "That didn't look like you were pumping her for information."

Adelaide returned his gaze unabashedly. "Because I wasn't. We were just... talking. Whatever monsters the Council thinks the Pack are, she's not one of them."

Elijah pursed his lips, considering the words. Adelaide expected a patronizing retort, but instead the man simply nodded once before speaking, his tone back to its usual lightness. "Let's hit the catering tables. I'm still hungry." Addy rolled her eyes, but obliged nonetheless, wheeling him toward the food and beverages.

William wasn't even fazed when Mac didn't acknowledge his compliment, focused entirely on Emily's presence. He wouldn't have expected anything less, though he didn't answer right away. He rolled his eyes as Ashley-May passed the torch to him, making her way toward the food. Will looked down to meet Mac's dark eyes as she turned to face him, smiling at her statement.

"I know," he said, leaning down to plant a kiss on her forehead before leaning his own against it, speaking softly. "And I believe you were promised repayment. I honor my promises, Miss Cannonach." He continued to look into her eyes for a moment before sighing. "I know about Emily. Chase told us. He says she's only here to watch out for him. Chase... he's with the Pack. For real, now. He's not cutting ties with us, but he's insisting that the Pack is not our enemy, that the Council is withholding information about them," his tone was neutral, simply relaying what he'd been told while sparing judgement for the moment. He knew the subject would be sensitive enough for Mac as it was, so he gently tightened his grip around her waist, one thumb rubbing small circles against the fabric of the dress.

Morgan eyed Chase as he told her to be easy on Elijah, naturally replying his retort. She found it odd that he was perfectly content to let the hunter mouth off about their species but she certainly wasn't about to allow this to unanswered. He was poking fun at who she was, what she was. He was soon steering them away from the two, she giving Addy a final smile before walking with Chase a short distance before he spoke up about the blonde at the food table. "That's alright with me, she was nice earlier." She leaned against his side for a moment. "I'll explore the shops and you two can talk." She wouldn't deprive Chase of seeing this friends and colleagues, even the asshole.

Ashley-May was thoroughly distracted at the catered table looking over the food the Lunch Ladies had prepared. She was always amazing at how much they did in such little notice and it was always so delicious. Liam was humming within her, wanting something specific but she couldn't figure out what. She sighed softly as she came to understand that, for the moment, the Nephilim didn't want food. She frowned, glancing up from the table in time to see Addy and Eli headed her direction. A cold sensation of panic washed through her upon realising that there would be no reasonable point if escape. Eyes travelled to Mac and Will but both were enamoured with each other, she was soon searching for someone else to talk to, to give her a little more time before she and Eli finally had their confrontation.

She glanced to see Chase look her direction as he headed away from the funeral and she took the opportunity, abandoning whatever she held she made her way from the table and across the grass towards the two wolves.

Mackenzie smirked listening to Will admit he would 'pay her back' for her current state of dress. As much as she didn't like to hear that Chase was staying with the Pack and that he had decided to bring part of it back with him, she was resigned to the fact that there wasn't much they could do to change that. "Good." She murmured, dark eyes closing as she leaned against his taller frame. "I may need that promised checkup, Doc. Seems I may have pulled something, but I'm not sure when."

Adelaide had been wheeling Elijah toward his requested destination when she caught sight of Ashley-May out of the corner of her eye. She didn't need any psychic assistance to see that the woman was panicked at the sight of Eli approaching as she looked around desperately. Addy looked down to see that Eli hadn't spotted her yet, eyes idly roving the distance in the opposite direction. Just as Addy prepared to take matters into her own hands by veering off, Ash moved first, dashing off after the two wolves. Adelaide nodded to herself, finally reaching the food with Eli in tow who wasted no time in sampling anything he could reach from his chair.

William smiled at Mac's comment, glad that the news about Chase hadn't upset her. Holding her close, he murmured, "We can't let that go untreated. You should come by my office later, I'll be sure to take good care of you. No charge."

With Morgan claiming that he could speak with the blonde as she herself shopped. Chase couldn't help but wonder if she'd caught onto that from him simply wanting to invite Ashley along. Luckily for them Elijah had been wheeled towards the table and in reaction Ashley had fled the scene, b-lining straight for the werewolf pair. Despite the reason for her heading towards them Chase smiled as she got closer, "How would you like to do a little shopping?" He asked with a low amount of enthusiasm. "We can have that talk I owe you." The man shrugged not wanting her to feel forced into it, with his hands in his pockets and Morgan on his right, Chase flapped his left elbow a little. "Besides, I seem to still have a free arm." It was an invitation for her to take it if she wished to and planned to go with them.

Ashley-May smiled politely to 'Emily' on Chase's other arm, glancing to the free arm he waggled at her. "Oh well," She said with a grin, stepping beside him and slipping her arm within his. "We can't have you unbalanced, now can we?" She walked with the two towards the small 'shopping district' within the colony. It wasn't much beyond grocers and convenience stores, but even they were charming small town-esque; known to have more than a little souvenir and cliche items on hand. "And you don't owe me anything, Chase." She gave his arm a squeeze, leaning enough to rest her head on his shoulder. "Just wanted to talk with you, I assume you're going back with the Pack."

Morgan was slightly surprised by Ash's sudden and open discussion about what he was, and who he was staying with -she had thought this whole endeavor would be hush-hush and keeping everything under wraps but it seemed far more people at the colony knew exactly what he was than she honestly expected. She glanced between Chase and Ash before speaking softly. "We're his family." She stated plainly, with no bias inflected.

Ash glanced to Morgan after her statement and smiled. "That's good," though she turned her attention to Chase. "But you know you always have a home with me, with us, right? If you need to, or want to, we have a room for you..." She trailed off, she didn't want him to feel like he needed to choose, but wanted him to know he could always come back.

Mackenzie smirked but narrowed her eyes at him playfully. His offer of going by his office certainly intrigued her, but she knew she was fated to spend the night with Ash. She stood up on her toes and softly kissed his lips. "Maybe in the morning? I can't leave Ash and the Nephilim unattended for that long: they'll eat us out of house and home." She honestly hoped he wouldn't be disappointed with her decision to stay with Ash. "With Alaric, and now Elijah turning her away.... I can't do it to. I need to be there for her."

It was nice walking with the two women, despite the fact that they were all dressed in funeral attire having just left his fathers. Considering recent events it felt oddly normal, that was until Ashley made it abundantly clear that she knew about him and what he was and not in the most quiet of manners mind you. Admittedly it made the walk ever so slightly less comfortable considering the woman's views on creatures like him, the two having a conversation or argument shortly before Elijah showed up injured from the trial. Not that he blamed her for those views, they were similar to his own, but now she knew. Luckily Morgan cut in calling him family and he turned his head to look at her for a moment with a smile, then turning back to Ashley as she asked her question though he could see the hesitation as her words faded.

"Hey," The man gave the arm she was linked to a small tug to try and jostle whatever thought process away as he spoke softly. "I appreciate it, I do. But I can't be here, not right now." Chase nodded his head towards Morgan as he kept his eyes on Ash, "I found something with them, something that I have to figure out. With Joe gone I..." Chase faltered slightly as he tried to find the words, "I have to find some sort of purpose again, and right now that's not here." Chase couldn't help but feel for the woman considering her recent loss with Alaric and Elijah, even if he and the blonde hardly knew each other it was clear she was trying to keep hold of the relationships she made. Maybe she was afraid of losing those too. "I won't be too far, and if you feel the need to call then do." He was trying to reassure her that it wasn't goodbye, it was just for the time being.

William returned Mackenzie's kiss, smiling against her lips. Even as she pulled away and declined his offer, the expression never faded. He nodded silently. "I understand. Ash needs you now more than ever." Leaning in, Will placed a kiss on her cheek, his hand running along the side of her dress. "You know where to find me once things settle down," he added softly. "You'll let me know if there's anything I can do to help?"

Ashley-May smiled and nodded, she understood well enough why he wanted to be with them though she glanced partially to Morgan before speaking again hesitantly. "About what we were talking about, before... That girl, Alex?" She hadn't seen her since the night of Pan's Trial but that didn't change what needed to be said. "For what it's worth, I was wrong. About her, and about you." She leaned her head against his shoulder again as they approached the first of the small shops. "And obviously about Thomas.... I'm going to have to change all my plans for you and your love life." She teased. "After all I made a promise to Joe I'd find you a man."

Morgan only raised an eyebrow as she glanced between Ash and Chase, choosing not to insert herself into this part of the conversation, it was clear enough that Ash was far enough out of the loop, though she didn't understand her reference to whomever Alex was. As they took the steps to the first shop -a brick-a-brack shop almost, Morgan released Chase's arm so they could pass through the door and aisles easily while they browsed.

Mackenzie smiled and nodded; she knew Will wouldn't ever be offended or upset with her relationship with Ash. He was the far most understanding man she had ever met, after all he was willing to deal with her on a regular basis and not get fed up with her. "I promise, you'll be the first to know if she -we need anything." She gave him a gentle squeeze, leaning in against his chest. "I love you, you know that, right?" She murmured quietly before looking back up to him. "But... um, are you going to feed me? Ash already chewed you out once today."

William nodded in satisfaction as Mac assured him that she would let him know if there was any way he could help the two of them. He didn't presume to know Ash nearly as well as her partner, but he still didn't want her to be stuck in a melancholy if there was anything he could do about it. He enfolded her shoulders in his arms as she leaned against him, grinning as she asked her question. "I thought you'd never ask. Once from her was enough in a day," he joked, releasing her from his embrace before dropping his hand down to wrap around hers, leading her toward the catering tables.
