Mackenzie flushed deeply after Will stated Ash's luck in knowing her, while she appreciated the statement she knew the fact was that Mac attracted all sorts of horrible things. Her life was a testimony of just how horribly wrong everything could go and should serve as a warning to others to keep away. Mac was certain that is she had left Ash all those years ago she wouldn't be in the danger she was now.

"I promise, I'm not paying for a van." She swore, there wasn't a chance she would finance anything less than something amazing and rare. As they came to the house and stepped within she could immediately see her partner changed into the clothes she had worn from the clinic sitting on the couch with the tub of ice cream on her lap. Mac paused, eyebrows raised until Ash turned a sheepish smile. "I moved out stuff to another bed room," She muttered. "Figured since this is Will's house he should have the Master."

Morgan grinned hearing Chase denounce her accusations of being afraid of Brody, she was content to know she had managed to get under his skin - after all he deserved it after embarrassing her at the dinner the night before. She felt accomplished until she heard his next statement and reason for not wanting to upset Brody, or the rest of the pack for that matter.

"You were doing what you believed was right," She stated simply but quietly, all humor gone from her voice and expression. "You were acting with what you knew and understood at the time. You thought we were intent to hunt the colony, to kill and turn its people, no one could fault you for this because each and every one of those wolves would do the same thing if the situation was reversed. If the colony was threatening to wipe us out and I had the opportunity to go stay there and find out information to help us keep from being slaughtered I'd do it in a heartbeat."

William chuckled at Mac's reply, knowing full well that she'd sooner finance just about anything other than a generic soccer mom minivan. As they entered the house, Will wasn't particularly surprised to see Ashley-May seated on the couch, clearly enjoying the ice cream he'd provided. He grinned at the sight, but cocked his head at the woman's remark. "You didn't have to do that, Ash," he said softly. "After all, you're sleeping three to a room."

After a moment, Will spoke up again, "And it's our house," he corrected her gently. "The Council provided it for me... and my family," he paused, looking between the two women meaningfully, mouth twisting into a smile. "Like it or not, that includes the three of you."

Chase stared at the road ahead as Morgan gave her opinion. Maybe that was exactly how it would go, considering many were once hunters and understood him and his mindset than those who weren't. It didn't nullify the act however, so he was sure that he'd have to earn back the trust of many of the pack members, including Emile. "Maybe you won't be such a bad Alpha after-all." Chase spoke in a neutral tone, though when he glanced her direction the sarcasm of his comment was written all over his face. The assumption that he'd ever thought she might be a terrible one had never crossed his mind.

Overall the visit to Vitae had gone well. There had been no sign of danger or anyone watching them, nobody had spoken out against his bringing Morgan or going back to the pack, and he'd put his father to rest. At least something hadn't gone to shit today, and he was grateful that it was the funeral. Chase was already thinking about what he was going to have to do when they returned. Thomas needed to be dealt with, not only that but he needed to speak with Emile about Andy. He didn't want to put it off, and Joe's last wish was basically to try and help her. Even if Chase didn't completely agree with it he'd do his damnedest to see it through. He owed his old man that much.

Ashley-May smiled hearing Will call herself part of his family, she appreciated it but she also had little doubt that Mac had passed on bits of their conversation from earlier. She knew regardless of why he had said what he did that it still came from the heart. "Well thank you, but I'll be just fine in the other room." She said as she stood from the couch, returning the lid to the ice cream container and shuffling back to the kitchen. After depositing it back into the freezer she came back out to where the two lovebirds stood, arm in arm. "Besides, eventually I'm sure Mac will migrate to your bed and then I'll just be sleeping for two." She didn't pause long before heading down the hall towards the bedroom she had moved her and Mac's belongings to. "Don't stay up too late!" She called over her shoulder with a laugh.

Mackenzie watched Ash cautiously as the woman seemed to be in a decent humor, trying to determine if it was a facade or not. She watched her partner exit down the hall and disappear into the bedroom she had claimed before turning her attention to Will. "You really feel like we're your family?" The statement had taken an effect on her, a slow smile crossing her lips.

Once more Morgan was rolling her eyes as Chase's sarcasm was hard to miss, but she mulled over the thought of ever actually being the pack Alpha. It was a daunting task; she had seem Emile worried over trivial things. The man certainly seemed calm and serene on the outside but she had been privy to their house in Borseti where she had witnessed his pacing as he considered the packs future. She idly wondered how Chase would be seeing Emile in a different light.

Soon enough they were returning to their temporary home, as Chase pulled down towards Emile's cabin she could already see the Alpha and Brody seated in wooden chairs on the front step. She gave Chase a sidelong glance as he came to a stop and stepping out of the car to face to two men. "Before you say anything," She said with a raised hand, the other produced the Sno-Globe for Brody to see. "Look at what I found."

The man seemed less than impressed, looking from the globe to Morgan then to Chase and back to Morgan. "You took my car for that?" He grumbled with a shake of his head, starting to slowly circle the car and inspecting it. He paused as he came around the drivers side, looking to Chase once more. "I assume you drove, both ways?" He certainly did not care about the car being missing -he cared that Morgan wasn't driving it.

William nodded his head to Ashley-May in silent thanks as she expressed her satisfaction with using the other bedroom. He smiled sheepishly as she mentioned Mac sharing his bed. He found himself wondering idly if Ash knew what had happened between the two of them the night before. He certainly wouldn't be the one to broach the subject. As Ash stood up, Will frowned at the oversized sweatpants and tee shirt she wore -- they were familiar. Elijah's, in fact. He didn't know what to make of the fact that she still wore his clothes, but it was another subject he wouldn't be touching as the woman headed toward her newly-claimed bedroom.

Will turned to face Mackenzie as she spoke, a smile playing across her lips. He returned the expression, nodding without hesitation. "You know I do. I know it's only been a few days... but after everything we've gone through, it feels more like a lifetime. I'd do anything for you two." He lifted Mac's hand to his lips, planting a soft kiss on her knuckles. "I love you more than anything, and Ash is my friend. So yes, you're family in my book." He smirked, speaking lightheartedly, "It may be a weird, screwed-up sort of family... but I wouldn't have it any other way." William met her gaze, almost hesitantly, his tone sincere again. "Is that okay with you?"

Elijah Main.jpg Adelaide 3.jpg
"Okay, I believe you've had more than enough," Adelaide said gently, wheeling Elijah away from the catering table and ignoring the man's protests -- muffled by the food in his mouth. The hunter swallowed the mouthful down before speaking.

"You wouldn't be so quick to deprive me of the comfort of a decent meal if you knew what I had gone through today..." he grumbled.

Addy smirked. "You mean Nurse Ruth's sponge bath?"

Elijah closed his eyes, sighing deeply. "Let me guess: Will told you. No telepathy involved." He shook his head, not needing to hear her answer. "Of course he did."

Adelaide grinned as she leisurely made her way back toward the Clinic, dropping Elijah off in Nurse Sandy's care who promised to help him back into more appropriate clothing for bedrest. With that, Adele made her way back toward the house, intent on turning in for the night in preparation for their surf trip tomorrow.

As the car lurched forwards to the cabin he spotted both Brody and Emile on the porch watching them. Chase assumed it meant they were waiting on them, he caught the glance from his passenger before stepping out of the vehicle himself. He heard Morgan attempt to disrupt any conversation headed her way by offering up the Snow-Globe as a conversation piece. Chase nearly snorted, shutting the drivers door and making his way around. Knowing Brody was turned he knew the other Werewolf wouldn't take a second look at the globe, but it was an effort on Morgan's part nonetheless.

When he was met with Brody questioning him, Chase tossed the keys to the other man and nodded in response to the question. "Wouldn't have taken it if I hadn't needed to." Chase jerked his thumb over to Morgan's direction, "And she offered." Despite his earlier sarcastic claim that she was on her own Chase didn't, putting partial blame on himself. It was hard to say whether or not Brody knew the true meaning for their trip. Though considering he'd just been around the others and in the colony he gathered the other wolf could at the very least hazard a guess.

Mackenzie smiled watching William take her hand and kiss it, questioning if it was alright that he considered her and Ash his family. She nodded and flushed slightly. “Yes, it’s more than okay. I’ve never really had a family. I had my brothers and we looked out for each other. And I had the Nest.” She gave a small shrug. “This is different from that, it’s… better. Closer.” She was once more standing on her toes, elevating her height enough to kiss lips gently before speaking softly. “If I can get away after Ash falls asleep, I’ll come visit you.” She gave him a playful wink before settling back down on the ground, “Don’t lock me out.” She gave his hand a quick squeeze before turning and heading the direction Ash had gone.

Brody gave a grunt of acknowledgement followed by a short nod. “I get it,” He said slowly, Emile had given him the gist of why they had needed the car but not all the details behind it. “Family comes first.” He understood this well enough; it had gotten him in enough trouble over the years, mostly in attempts to pin down Skye. “Just as long as she wasn’t driving it’s fine.”

Morgan huffed from the other side of the car. “I am not that bad.” She growled at him.
Brody turned and returned her glare. “You put my other car in the ditch… twice. You’re not touching this one. “

Emile remained quiet a top the porch, waiting for Morgan and Brody to settle their dispute but keeping a watchful eye on Chase, looking for any signs of distress after burying his father. He knew too well the pain of losing family and loved ones, and would be certain to keep a look out over him for the next few days.

William smiled as Mackenzie reassured him that not only did she not mind being "adopted" into their little impromptu family, but she enjoyed the arrangement. The words brought an all too familiar warmth to his chest as he returned her kiss softly. Her next promise had his smile broadening as he nodded once. William would never turn down the chance to be with his girlfriend, but Ash's needs came first as far as he was concerned. He chuckled as Mac requested that he not lock the door, "I wouldn't dream of it," raising his hand and allowing her fingers to slip through his as she turned to leave.

William sighed contently, making his way to the Master. It wasn't the thing of high society, but for Will who had been acclimated to years in motel rooms and barracks it almost felt too large, too luxurious for him alone. Will cleaned up in the bathroom before climbing into bed and drifting off.

With the new knowledge Brody provided, Chase was suddenly relieved he hadn't let the woman drive. "She failed to mention that." He looked over the top of the vehicle at her before starting towards the cabin where a rather silent Emile was waiting. Brody had been understanding, and hadn't questioned Chase on his sister, vitae's champion, or the fake Alpha that he potentially smelled on him. While he didn't know what to make of it, it was something that he wouldn't question himself.

"Told you I'd bring her back." He told the man once he'd reached the top of the steps, then looked over his shoulder briefly. "In arguably better condition now that she has that Snow-Globe." Chase moved to take a seat in the chair next to Emile's, letting out a deep sigh. He was tired, there was no doubt, but he felt a little more at ease being back at the packs camp. "Here." Chase said, pulling the French to English dictionary from his lap and reaching his arm out for the other man to take it. "Maybe this will help in the long run." A lazy smile on his lips, "Told you I'd come back to didn't I? I mean I won't lie I'd considered taking that smooch and running." The man shrugged with a light smirk on his face as it was a clear jest. Whether the Alpha had doubts Chase would return or not was hard to say, as the man had continually given Chase outs to stay at the colony before he'd left.

Emile nodded to Chase as he climbed the stairs and came to sit with him, turning his attention to the bickering that Brody and Morgan continued after the fact, he just couldn't see the reason why Morgan was so infatuated with the older wolf, but then the same could be said for Chase and himself. "She is back, looks happy." He admitted with a slight smile, he had been nervous about the two of them being in the colony alone, though had trusted Chase's judgement in the matter. He glanced down at the book he was being handed with curiosity followed by a momentary frown as he read the title twice.

He laughed as he came to understand what it was he was being given, thumbing through the pages before looking back to Chase with a grin. Smooch was not a work he knew, but the context of what the younger wolf was suggestion made him feint insult. "You tell me I don't speak good English and you run away." He tisk, hand over his heard. "Je pleure un millier de larmes." He gave Chase a wink. "I know you come back," He said after a moment. "You do not lie, you promise." Emile had confidence that Chase would have returned, given he had vowed he would before leaving. "But all good now? Erm. Settled?"

With Emile laughing Chase knew he needn't worry about the Alpha taking the gift the wrong way, not that he'd really thought he would. With his head turned he watched as Emile looked through the book momentarily before pretending to be insulted. Chase merely chuckled, checking himself before going further down the sarcastic rabbit hole. Then Emile started spouting some French. Chase waited before asking for a translation and sure enough Emile gave it without any kind of signal. He fully planned to live up to any promises he made considering how they were seen. Though when he as asked if everything was taken care of he nodded, head resting against the back of the chair as he stared at the sky while taking a deep breath. Admittedly there was something about being back here that allowed him to relax and let his guard down more, which also allowed some of the emotions to slip through the cracks and eyes water up just enough to gloss over. "I put my fathers belongings away and I said my goodbye."

"Then I told those at Vitae who know of me where I stood as far as this conflict goes." Chase turned his head back to the side to look at Emile. Just because his father was dead didn't mean Vitae was void of people he wanted to see safe, he wanted that made clear. That was only a big part of it, Chase had to deal with both Thomas as well as Andy. Though currently he was hesitant to bring up the rogue Wolf considering having only just gotten back. Not to mention all of these troubles and favors he was putting on both Emile and the pack, despite the Alpha voicing that they were family and they took care of one another he still wasn't comfortable with both pressuring them as well as looking to them for so much support.

Emile winced seeing and hearing the pain Chase felt, knowing there was really nothing he could do to absolve what the other man was feeling. It was his grief and he would need to go through it on his own, like everyone else, but at the very least he knew he would be here for Chase and support him in any way that he could. He reached out almost cautiously, taking Chase's hand in his own and giving it a gentle squeeze. This was all still new for the both of them, their relationship -for lack of a better word, was only hours old and he certainly didn't want to push too hard at a time like this.

He was surprised to hear him speak about Vitae and what would soon be the full moon when they would confront the human colony. He regarded Chase carefully for a time before grumbling. "You know I promis your friend be safe, oui? We do not hurt any hunter, we not kill." He slowly shook his head. "But you come wit us, to see, eh? You come and help keep friend calm, oui?" He was quiet aware that he was already going back on what he wanted; to keep Chase away and safe from the colony when they went in, but he knew very well how stubborn Chase was and the likely hood he would find himself in a different sort of trouble.

When Emile slowly took his hand, Chase noticed that he was taking it slow, as if to make sure it was okay. He looked the man in the eyes for a moment with a flash of a smile and returned the light squeeze. It was slightly off-putting he had to admit, to see the man he'd once looked at with borderline hate, a man he'd seen as the enemy. But now he looked at him and saw the opposite. The relationship was an odd one to say the least, they'd teased and danced around it since Chase had arrived here but nothing had gone beyond innocent banter. Then they were suddenly shoved towards one another due to his fathers death and the reveal that Chase had been a spy, however instead of crashing into each other they'd managed to balance out.

He listened as the Alpha spoke of his coming along and Chase couldn't help but narrow his eyes in confusion, combined with a little uncertainty. Maybe it was because his father was no longer in Vitae, Chase couldn't tell for sure. Especially considering Emile had already stated he wouldn't be going, even if it had been said in the angry aftermath of the outing earlier. "I do want to be there, but don't say this now out of any kind of pity." It wasn't an accusation, he made sure his tone reflected that but he still needed to say it. The man shrugged his shoulders slightly, "You'd let me come but not Malcolm, your Beta." It was a confusing thought to say the least, but maybe he was afraid that Brody and Malcolm's presence would only agitate or provoke Mackenzie into action. It was hard to say. Maybe Emile just thought Chase could help keep people calm.

"Think on it before you decide if I should be allowed or not." Chase told him with an understanding nod, "But if I go as a member of the pack then Vitae will know what I am and it may rub some of them the wrong way, do more harm than good. Maybe if I stayed a wolf but there'd be a lack of communication." Chase arched an eyebrow, "Though they'd trust the words of a fellow hunter more than a traitor." The last thing he wanted to make Emile think was that he was ashamed of being a part of the pack, he'd admit to not being completely comfortable with it yet but there was no shame. He'd like to believe that his friends would trust him no matter the flag he flew or the form he took but he couldn't say for sure, though it was the rest of the hunters and colonists he was more concerned about in that regard.

Emile was satisfied that Chase hadn’t pulled away from him and even had returned the gesture, he was glad to know the other man’s feelings hadn’t changed after returning to the colony; that Chase was still interested in pursuing something with him. He had no expectations of where they may end up in the long run, they had Vitae to contend with still and if it went poorly Chase may feel differently towards the pack and him once again.

He gave the younger man an annoyed growl as he suggested the change in his decision was pity, but let him continue on speaking about both Brody and Malcolm not going. He slowly shook his head, choosing his words carefully. “I do not pity Loup Perdu,” He smiled slowly. “You confuse me, I tell you no because I think it be better. It be safer for you, and them. I wrong.” He sighed. “Your friend know who you are, that you wolf like us.”

He looked out through the growing darkness as the pack started settling in for the night. “I keep Brody and Malcolm here because of their family, the Oracle: Skye. She make Brody wild, too long away from pack hunting her and Douglas. He cannot go, he will not listen to me if he near her. Malcolm stay wit Brody and other pack that do not go; he me here.” He frowned slightly, knowing the verbage was incorrect, though suddenly recalled the dictionary at hand. With his free hand he quickly flipped through the pages until he found the term he wanted. “Representative. Represent me while I gone.”
He watched Chase thought fully. “Maybe you help them understand? Help them listen to us? Help us save them, oui?”

It was something, listening to the Alpha admit he might have been wrong. Despite Emile having a hard time conveying his words he understood what the man was saying, that his Beta was to take charge of those left behind in his absence. Though Chase kept quiet and allowed him to choose the words on his own. He nodded, "I'll go, because my being there might prevent things from getting out of hand. Like you said, they trust me. Listening to me might be difficult since they haven't so far but maybe when we are there they will." Though Emile had given no comment on how Chase should represent himself at the colony. But if the colony and wolves were to align maybe showing them what he was could help build some trust. Or maybe it would just push someone to fire the first shot, and possibly at his head. It worried him, the thought of so many knowing. Especially after staying hidden and low his entire life, Chase wasn't sure he was ready for that much change.

Chase sat forwards in his seat, releasing the older mans hand. Eyes landing on the railing just ahead of him as he spoke, "I do have a favor to ask." Chase spoke, transitioning the subject over a bit. Also knowing full well he'd used up his allotted favors with the Alpha for the foreseeable future. "I know we were waiting until after Vitae before trying to help Andy, the wolf eating hearts. But it was quite possibly Joe's last wish to try and help her." Chase was clearly a little hesitant to push too hard or demand, even if it was his normal, because he knew he was still on thin ice even if he'd been forgiven in the end. Not to mention Thomas had yet to be dealt with. The hesitation lingered a few moments before he gave the Alpha a stern look, "I don't want to wait and find out that some two-bit hunter put her down because we waited too long, or worse, that she put down any hunters that caught her trail."

Emile frowned as Chase pulled away, eyes narrowing as he listened to the wolf speak almost timidly, like he was afraid of saying what he wanted to say. He listened, attempting to be patient with Chase, but he knew where the conversation was directed; back to the heart eating wolf. Chase made it clear what he wanted, what he was asking for. Even went as far as to mention his father in it, though Emile was certain it wasn't for a pity vote but just added information. He grumbled and stood, pacing away from the younger man and thinking before turning back.

"She dangerous." He stated, simple fact. Even to other werewolves one that was influenced by eating hearts as she clearly did could be a potential danger to him and his pack, his family. Not only would she lash out as they barred her from consuming as she no doubt craved to, but she could easily draw hunters to his pack; they may be a formidable size as they were, the could still be killed if enough hunters banded together. He knew what Chase ended with was the truth, she would one day be hunted down and killed by a hunter when there was a chance to keep her out of harms away and bring her back from the bring. After all it had been done for him.

He inhaled slowly, then exhaled before speaking calmly. "You call her. We get. If she want help, she come here, mais. But, she your ... your... vous prenez soin de...." He flipped through the book, now understanding how much this would be an asset for him going forward. "You take care of, your responsibility."

Chase half-expected Emile to decline once again when he watched the other man stand from his chair. "I know I'm asking a lot." Chase said with a huff, eyes watching as Emile started to pace. Chase didn't like the thought of Andy being his responsibility, from what he remembered of her as well as the conversations he caught between her and Joe...she was possibly more of a pain than he himself. But he was the one asking the favor so it was only fair, if they were to take her in that meant he had to make sure she didn't do anything stupid. If she went after pack members she'd likely be killed in turn, and Chase imagined he'd in turn be ejected. Not to mention with everything currently going on could he really add her to the juggle list?

Chase turned to look at the porch below, eyeing the wood between his feet as he thought about it for a moment. Finally he nodded in agreement and looked back up at Emile, "Yeah, okay. I'll keep her under control, and if I can't then I'll deal with her myself." He spoke determined, though he wasn't sure if Emile would agree with the assessment. Chase would do his best to do what Joe wanted but if it couldn't be done he wasn't going to let her continue killing people and put both the pack and himself in danger. "Thank-you." Chase said to him, glad the other man was willing to give it a shot. Standing up he gave a small wave to Morgan before moving into the cabin with phone in hand, leaving the door open for Emile if he decided to follow. It was a way of letting the Alpha know he wasn't trying to hide away for the conversation, but just would rather be inside for the call. Whether Emile stayed out on the porch or followed he wasn't bothered. Chase paused in the midst of the cabin as he put the device to his ear, as it dialed Andy.

Somewhere in her movie marathon Andy had fallen asleep on the couch, the movies still playing in the background and her food and beer were on the table in front of her. Her phone started to vibrate on the table causing the teenager to groan in her sleep, she moved her hand to the table and felt around for her phone but couldn't find it which left her with no choice but to actually move her head and look for the phone. There, it lit up on her kitchen table, her vision slightly blurred and her apartment dark due to the lack of light Andy was letting in, creating the perfect 'movie watching atmosphere'. She shuffled towards the phone and stared at the screen as Chase's name popped up, she held it in her hand and contemplated for a fair while whether to pick up or not. A million thoughts ran through her head, she was slightly scared that someone like him was calling her. She muted her TV, only the light was illuminating the small little area she was in. Andy looked around a little in her apartment, it was like she was committing a crime of some sort, she had almost never talked to Chase, she slowly swiped the little green button up and shakily held it to her ear. An uncomfortable amount of silence filled her life within a matter of seconds, though to her it felt like minutes, whatever he was going to say she sure as hell wasn't in the mood to talk about shit.

Chase had started his pacing about the inside of the cabin as he listened to the ringing through the cellphone. His free hand dropping off the drawing pad on the couch before rubbing at his forehead roughly. When the line suddenly picked up Chase stilled, waiting for someone to speak up on the other end. For a moment he considered Andy had ended the call, instead he found the silence on the other end as a confirmation someone had picked up. "Andy?" He asked, rather confused with a hint of annoyance. "I saw you earlier today, in the woods." He started, though at the time he hadn't realized who she was. "What were you doing all the way out there?" Chase decided to take the slower approach rather than getting right to main topic, not only that but he couldn't even be sure it was Andy on the other end, as well as the fact that he was genuinely curious as to why the young Werewolf had come so far out from where Joe had told him she was staying. The man found himself near the kitchen table, tapping a finger against it.

Andy walked back to her couch and picked up her mess that she had made. "That's none of your business, why are you calling?" Her voice annoyed, she didn't know if Chase knew about her heart eating problem or not but it was best to keep it down until someone brings it up. It really was weird that he had called her, she was sure that he had other things to do and she sure as hell knew that he didn't want to just have a little chat or ask what she had been doing with her life for the past 19 years. She threw the things in the bin and walked to the fridge to take out more food to try and subside her cravings for the human heart which never goes away. "Get to the point Chase, some of us have better things to do." She walked around for a bit before finally leaning on a wall that she found comfortable and ate an apple that she got.

Chase's jaw set at her first words, holding back what he wanted to say for fear of the call getting dropped. However as she continued on, acting like a clueless child, he changed his mind. "Like eating human hearts?" The words were drenched in poison, an accusation even, he knew that she knew that he knew about it. Chase shook his head as he resumed his pacing around the cabin, she wanted him to get to the point then that's what he'd damn well do. Chase stopped in the middle of the room and crossed his arms over his chest, one hand still holding the phone to his ear.

"Joe's dead. The day he died he asked me to help you." That was the easier blunt truth of the matter. Next came the trickier part, "I'm with a pack now that say they can do just that. Keep you safe from the hunters, keep the humans safe from you, and supposedly lessen that hunger." He paused to let the information sink in, "It's your only shot, so you'd better take it. Otherwise what the hell did Joe and I help you for in the first place." Chase hadn't planned to make her feel cornered, but he had little choices to begin with and she wanted the point.

Andy was rather taken aback, maybe she didn't want him to get to the point... Ever. She knew that Chase had something to do with the pack that she had seen before, she didn't like the idea at all. It took her a while to run everything through her head, the mention of Joe's death not really getting to her. "I'm not interested." She took another bite of her apple, she was about to end the call but Chase kept talking. After mentioning him and Joe helping her she felt kind of bad, she was annoyed that he would say something like that even though she knew she was a pain in the ass. "Listen here, I didn't ask you and your dad to help me, that was your stupid father's fault. I've stayed alive this far without anyone's help so I can bloody well live without being restrained by a stupid pack." Her voice bitter and sharp, she knew then that she shouldn't of really said that but what's said is said. She wasn't going to waste her time with more wolves. Andy clenched her fist in the amount of anger she had, she didn't want to have anything to do with Chase or a pack but she knew she needed help, it was a decision that she had to make and fast.

Chase nearly said Forget It, nearly ended the call then and there. But the thought of Joe shaking his head stopped Chase cold, so he took a breath. "Grow the hell up and stop acting like a damn child!" He spoke angrily as he stopped by the backdoor of the cabin. "I know you asked Joe for help, how? Because he told me so, and he was the best man I've ever known. And you'd better start showing his name some god damn respect because that man is the reason you are alive and living that life of yours. Even in death Joe is still helping you because he is the one that asked me to reach out."

This was partly why Chase had wanted him and Emile to visit her rather than him calling. Especially after a day like today he didn't have nearly the patience for it. The Alpha however seemed to have a better handle on such things than he and would have likely intervened. "So you're telling me that you enjoy killing people then? That you are just another monster." Chase snorted, anger still not abated as he glanced at the cabin wall where he assumed Emile was standing on the other side still on the front porch.

Andy flinched a little, those words stabbed her little heart over and over again, her fist starting to shake under the amount of strength it had in it, she teared up a little. "Don't you call me a monster! Just remember, you're still a monster and it's all about waiting until you f*ck up." She bit her tongue to stop her from saying anymore. Andy remained silent for a while before sighing in defeat, she knew she was in trouble and she knew it was only a matter of time until someone found her and killed her. "And what if they can't stop the craving huh? What if they can't keep me safe?" She raised an eyebrow and released her fist so that her arm relaxed by her side. "Why are you calling me now? What are you getting out of this because you sure as hell aren't that kind of person? How do I know you're telling the truth, you're still a hunter, wolf or not you're still a murderer so how am I supposed to believe anything you say?" Sure, when she was out there was a pack but who's to say that he was apart of that pack and not trying to kill them, though surely someone wouldn't be that dumb as to fight a pack alone but she still couldn't trust him.

Chase shook his head in frustration when being called a monster. He was a lot of things but he didn't believe monster was one of them, but arguing or yelling back wasn't going to help his current pitch so he bit his tongue. The female proceeded to speak on the packs methods and he had no defense, "They say the can, do I know for sure? No. But not trying is the shittier option here." The man huffed tiredly, he knew it wouldn't be easy to convince her especially considering her situation. Then she started deflecting back onto him, questioning his motives and reasons and Chase rolled his eyes.

"Because I just got back from burying my father, that's why now. And I'm trying to do right by the man by helping you like he asked. You don't want to trust me fine, I sure as hell don't trust you so the feeling is mutual." Chase stopped at the outer wall of the cabin and pressed his free arm up against it and leaned on that arm until his forehead was pressed against it and staring at the floor below. "But I'm still the only one trying to help, and you can't get through life without eventually trusting someone. That's not living. Come to the pack and find someone to trust for yourself, you don't even have to see my sorry face if you don't want to."
