When the woman mentioned that she not only knew Nick, but was friends with him, Vanna and Vinni's fangirlish hearts nearly burst.

"Squee!"

It was loud enough to turn a few heads, but the girls didn't care. Perhaps this woman knew the passcode to his apartment? They could dream, at least.

Unfortunately for them, the woman seemed more than a bit confused... maybe they should've taken things a little slower. She'd even said "marry" like it wasn't a completely normal desire to have!

Before they had a chance to ask anything else, a man they'd never seen before approached their blue-haired source of information.

Vanna's jaw practically dropped in horror and disbelief when she greeted him as Nick.

"That is not Nick!" she demanded, pouting like a child that had just dropped her ice cream.

"Yeah! Nick is like, a super hot emo rockstar! Not this random plain guy with no fashion sense." Vinni sniffed indignantly, mirroring her friend's expression.

full

"Come on, Vinni. I think she knows more than she's letting on, but we'll have to try again later. Maybe we can find someone else that'll give us the passcode to his apartment so we can surprise him!" Taking her hand, Vanna pulled her friend through the crowd and closer to the entrance. Their first try had been unsuccessful, but the fangirls weren't giving up anytime soon.

James continued to pet the beautiful fox until it walked away to go chew on some grass. "No! Stop that! I will not have you throwing up and getting sick." He walked over to Kalam and put his hand in front of its mouth, stopping him from eating grass. He kneeled down next to him and spoke to him in a voice that you usually use for babies. "I'm sorry I don't have anything to give you right now."

Meanwhile back at the festival.

Kikus' eyes widened just a bit when Octavia said that her love was one-sided. That was too right on the nose but...she could still be a scammer.

"I have to bring bacon to my love?"
If bacon wasn't the best thing in the world then Kiku would've been very skeptical about this whole thing. She took the bacon and looked it over. Why the heck did this woman just have bacon laying around?

"Ah...it helps next time if you tell me the proper name so I don't have to waste time looking for a Jason. Girl you might be good at acting, but your heart be an open book. The energy don't lie~"

"Oh, sorry." She smirked, thinking it would be funny if the woman was sending her to some weirdo named Jason. So it was time to see who the love of her life would be. Kiku stood up out of her chair, quickly bowing to Octavia. "Thank you, I hope this bacon does help!"
And with that she left to go back to the complex and to the park.

Not very surprised that there was basically no one at the park at this time with the festival going on, Kiku took her dang time walking there. Occasionally forgetting where she was or getting distracted by a stray cat. She had finally made it to the park and to her horror, there was James, playing with a white dog.
"Damn sexy witch lady actually knew what she was talking about."
She stopped just steps away from him. For the first time in what felt like forever, Kiku was outwardly nervous. But she quickly kicked that feeling away and started acting normal again.
'Ew. Feelings.'
She walked up to her crush and the fox.
" 'Sup homo. Get yourself a new animal just as good-looking as you?" She said while acting super normal. There was no need to put on an act infront of James, Adelaide or Pluto. They already knew who she was. That would suck if she needed to do that.
James looked up at her, clearly startled that she almost heard him speak in that dumb voice. He sighed, "Hello Miss Furukawa."
Kiku smirked, she loved the way he said her last name with that accent of his.

'So damn sexy!'
"Did I ever tell you that you-"

He cut her off, already knowing what she was about to say. "That I am super sexy. Yes you say that alot."
Kiku shook her head. "No, I was going to say that you sound really cute when you coo at animals."
He could've died right then and there.

"I-I was doing nothing of the sort! I-"
Ignoring him, she squatted down to look at the fox. "Here foxy." She held up a piece of bacon infront of Kalam. "Jay doesn't need this."

  • "Thanks... I mean, you probably grew up and lived in a much safer home with parents who love you and care about your well-being, but I appreciate the words."
Pluto could not help but laugh at that comment. Safe? Hah! Love? Hoh! Care and well-being? When pigs fly.
"I'm sorry but my parents should not even be in the same sentence with those words. They never took care of me. and when they did, they nearly let me die." He calmed himself down before Marco told his story. He didn't want to be rude so he stopped his laughing.
"Wow." Was all he could say to that. Pluto may never know what it feels like to be poor or what it feels like to have to fend for himself like that. He didn't want to say 'Oh I am sorry to hear that.' because that was the last thing anyone wanted to hear.
"...Who's him? Was he bad? Well judging by the way you said it, he has to be bad."

"I'm sorry but my parents should not even be in the same sentence with those words. They never took care of me; and when they did, they nearly let me die."

Marco's eyes widened with a sharp feeling of repentance made his heart skip a beat. "Oh..." Marco said, instantaneously regretting everything he said about Pluto's family as he rubbed the back of his head, trying to find the right words to lighten up the situation he'd just caused. "W-well... in that case, your folks sound like they'd be better at bein' scum-suckin' lawyers than parents, if ya ask me!" Marco tried to joke with a smile, before he then continued with his life story.

"...Who's him? Was he bad? Well judging by the way you said it, he has to be bad."

"He was the worst." Marco answered as his voice got strangely serious, as if he was stepping out of character, "He was one of those lousy playboys who my mum ran into and got swayed by his good looks. Good looks wasn't what he only had, though. Money, cars, a huge freakin' tower he lived in, women, and booz from other parts of the goddamn world. Now out of all of that, and with all of the reasons my mum wanted to marry to support us... this guy was a drinker. As well as one of the biggest pricks I've ever known in my life. All this guy did was take advantage of my mum, while I had to work day and night and fend myself from thugs, her boyfriend would take her out on the most expensive places without even bringin' me. Or even tellin' me! This guy was nothin' but an asshole to me and my mum, and... no matter how hard I tried to tell her this... she..."

Marco went silent. Twerking his thumbs as he laid there next to Pluto, Marco looked as if he'd seen a ghost. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath in through his nose, Marco's old self quickly returned as he then said with his bright, goofy smile, "So, I moved to Uncle Garry and Aunt Lori's home, leaving my dumbass mum to live with that scumbag. And, well, here I am; everyone's favorite Marco!".

Ian's response wasn't exactly the most reassuring thing in the world, but Ollie would be willing to bet that Ian was okay. Sure, it was probably awkward, and the fact that he just checked him out probably didn't help. Nice job scaring him away. Not like you've got any fraction of a chance, but still. If anything, a foursome would be fantastic. Now that's going down the drain. Maybe Ian and Ellie would leave Lexi and him alone. That wouldn't be very fun. Especially given that she was being quite the romantic. Soon enough he was only accompanied by Lexi. Her playful little jabs had worked, it seemed. He looked at her as she invited him along. "I think we should give him time to simmer down. But with Ellie, things are bound to get hotter. If you catch my drift." As he spoke, Ollie softly took her hands and led her over to the couch, walking backward. Samson had taken up residence on the sofa prior, but Ollie just sat down a ways away from him. Actions tentative, he tugged her by her waist onto his lap facing him. It was dangerous, doing these sorts of things. Are you just gonna stare? Do something. Good thing Ollie'd seen quite a few romance movies in his time. He trailed his fingers down a lock of her hair, then let it rest on her cheek, her skin rosy and flawless. "You know..." Ollie paused and thought careful about his next words. "I can't think of any metaphors to say. You're that stunningly, incomparably beautiful. Hopefully that makes up for the lack of smooth talking." He decided not to go in for a kiss and let her come to him instead. If that was more gentleman-like or not, Ollie had no clue.

"I think we should give him time to simmer down. But with Ellie, things are bound to get hotter. If you catch my drift."

Ollie took Lexi's hand as he began to walk her over to the couch. "I agree on letting them both simmer down a bit," she laughed as she let him guide her around her apartment, "I could feel it radiating around them..." Lexi was a bit confused at the last comment about Ellie but she played along, "Well, Ellie does have a way to make anyone fall in love with her."

When Ollie pulled her down onto his lap, she became a bit flustered at the act of being on his lap. It had been a while since she had someone do this to her, but she didn't mind as she placed her hands on his chest. She wasn't trying to stop this, but she didn't know what to do with her hands. Lexi heard Samson call out before leaving the room, not wanting to see anything that hey were about to do.

"I can't think of any metaphors to say. You're that stunningly, incomparably beautiful. Hopefully, that makes up for the lack of smooth talking."

Lexi closed her eyes as she felt his finger down from her hair to her cheek and took in his flirtatious words. Oh, so you want me to kiss you, she thought as she opened her eyes for a moment. She slides her hands up his chest and combed her fingers through his dark hair, "You are such a flirt..." With that she leaned in for a soft kiss, but then pulling away, "But, I still stand by what I said before... You have to take me out on a date before going too far into whatever this is... I'm not sure if we're dating or just messing around..."

Having finally arrived at the fair, Nick wasted no time in snagging himself a bag of cotton candy. The kid selling it had been either oblivious or indifferent to his identity, and the teen celebrity liked it that way.

Sipping on the energy drink he'd brought with him, Spook kept his head down as he moved through the throngs of happy strangers.

It could've been a scene from one of his
music videos, a lone figure dressed in all black surrounded by laughter and swirling colors. He'd have to write that one down. Misery made good art, or at the very least, it sold surprisingly well.

Nick grimaced as he walked past all the couples fawning over each other, glossy black nails digging into the fabric of his well-worn hoodie.

"Ick, normals," he muttered coolly, as though he were trying to convince himself.

Taking another swig of his sugary drink, he tossed the empty can into a nearby bin and continued his walk.

He had no real destination in mind, but as he'd so far managed to avoid recognition, Nick figured he might as well enjoy the peace while it lasted... angsty or not.

Waiting in the lobby with Ellie, Ian wondered just how long the two were going to take. Maybe Ollie decided to make his move after all? You sly mo-fo you...Ian had to admire the guy's determination. Glancing at Ellie, he remembered her pouting face from earlier and ended up chuckling silently to himself. She always held herself in a proper, dignified manner, and since he only used to see her working, he didn't know she had this sort of cute side to her. He wondered what other reactions and faces he could get out of her. He wasn't really the lovey-dovey sweet guy type, at least, not anymore. So he only hoped his careless attitude wouldn't rub her the wrong way in the future.

"They sure are taking their damn time." His voice was actually filled with amusement, as he hinted at the possibility as to what they could be doing. Ian gazed outside, the sun still bright in the sky. How bothersome going out in this time of day. But it's fine if she's here...He turned his attention back to Ellie. "So...how long have you felt this way?" He wrapped his arms around her from behind, pulling her into him loosely.

"They sure are taking their damn time."

"Which is strange, really..." Ellie answered him as she finished sending her Uncle a message that she was going to go to the Fair, "Lexi is always about time... I mean she made it clear that we should head out 6 to see the fireworks. Now, she's not even caring..." Ellie put her phone back in her pocket as she looked up at Ian. She gave him a shrug but then just smiled up at him.

"So...how long have you felt this way?"

Ellie was taken aback at his sudden question, which made her blush. Her heart began to pound in a thundering beat as Ian wrapped his arms around her. Trying to calm her heart a bit, she answered,
"Ever since you would come into the Cafe, I was always pulled into you. Something about you made me smile. You were so quiet and mysterious that I wanted to get to know the real you." She pauses a bit as she tried to pinpoint the exact moment she finally figured out she had fallen in love with him, and continued, "A few months after you started coming into the cafe was when I began to figure out I liked you. It always made me sad when you wouldn't come by, like on Thursday..."

Tilting up her head to look up at him, her face still slightly blushing, she through him his own question back,
"How about you... How long have you felt this way?" Ellie turned her body so she wraps her own arms around him and looking up at him. A small smile was present on her lips as she waited for him to answer.

"Pleased to meet you. You guys are so beautiful. I hope you are enjoying the fair?"

Nicole and Minerva both blushed at Saren's comment as she Minerva spoke out in her polite manner, "Why, thank you, Saren. We are having so much fun, but if we knew Sam was going to be with a pretty lady, we wouldn't have stopped him." Sam rubbed the back of his neck as he tried not to get as flustered as he was feeling. "Well, we'll be off!" Nicole's cheerful voice called out, "You two lovebirds have fun!"

"Nicole!" Sam called out as his sisters and their friends made their way back into the sea of people. Clearing his throat a bit he turned to Saren and apologized for the twins, "I'm sorry about them... They tend to tease me. I guess it's karma from all of the times I tend to be hard on them about boyfriends... So, what do you want to do?"

They are never going to let me forget this... Sam tried so hard to keep his face as calm as he could, but he knew there must have been the slightest tint of red on his face. There were so many vendors and games, along with rides toward the boardwalk pier. The perks of being tall, I guess. I can see everything and everyone from my point of view.

Pluto stayed silent while Marco told him about his parents. Marco was getting very serious about this. He looked... Really hot when he is serious.
'Ok Pluto. Not the time to be thinking that now! Gosh, pay attention!'
Pluto would nod occasionally to show that he was in fact still listening. "Ugh. He sounds like such a douche. I hate when people only use their money to get people. I wouldn't do that." He pouted and rolled his eyes. It was obvious now that Marco had quite a hard life while he was growing up. He felt bad. Not in the 'Oh I feel sorry for the poor peasant' way but in a different kind of way he couldn't explain. He strangely wanted to hug Marco, bring him to expensive places and do whatever Marco wanted to do! He layed there and watched as Marco's expression changed back to what Pluto assumed was his default expression. 'Marco, huh? It's very fitting!'

Pluto suddenly sat up with a determined look in his eyes and a light blush spreading across his nose. "Marco, can I hug you? Oh by the way, my name is Pluto!"

"Ugh. He sounds like such a douche. I hate when people only use their money to get people. I wouldn't do that."

"Tell me 'bout it!" Marco laughed out out from the blond man's comment as he crossed his legs as he laid down, "I mean, I know that not all rich people are cruddy people, but man can they be stinkers! A thug or punk could rough you up and leave you with some bruises; big deal. But it's the kids and adults who spend their whole lives not workin' for anythin' and treat everyone around them like literal crap who piss me off the most! But eh... heheh, sorry 'bout that. Talkin' 'bout that kind of stuff gets me a little worked up."

Feeling much better than he was before, Marco sighed as he felt the energy in his body dying down again, bringing his attention to the ocean once again. As Marco laid, though, he say the blond man sit up with his eyes beaming with determination as he then said, "Marco, can I hug you? Oh by the way, my name is Pluto!"

Marco's face lit up. Sitting up to look straight into Pluto's face, Marco's eyes turned from left to right as, after a moment of astonishment from the blond man's request, he stuttered as he then said, "You... wanna hug me?"

"Come'on, ya moron! Go for it!", his mind barked at him, a light blush stretching across his face from being taken aback as his heart began to race, "This is you're one and only chance of makin' this man yours! Like how Theodore Roosevelt had that one chance to climb up that random hill durin' the
Battle of San Juan Hill. He had no reason to do that, but he did it anyways goddammit!"

"I-if you want to, then I mean..." Marco said, turning himself to Pluto as he rubbed his arm, looking to the floor as his faint blush remained, "You can hug me... Pluto."

Pluto... Pluto Pluto Pluto Pluto... Marco found himself oddly attracted to that name.

Pluto was kind of surprised at Marco's mini rant about rich people for a second there. Although he didn't blame him. Some rich people ruin everything.
But enough about that, it's hug time!

And that's what Pluto did when Marco said it was ok for him to do it. He went in for the kill, giving Marco an Adelaide kind of hug that was warm, inviting, and comforting. "I hope I'm not weirding you out. It was kind of all I could think of..."

He gave Marco one last subtle squeeze before he let go and leaned against the bars.
"You know if it makes you feel any better, sometimes just because the place is expensive that doesn't mean it is a fun place." He nodded along to his own words.
"If it double makes you feel any better, my parents wouldn't bring me to any special outings because I had...braces for a while. They even got mad when one of the paparazzi got a picture of me with said braces."

He found himself rubbing his thumb over his own lips, thinking about how much it sucked to have braces.
"So, do you wanna explain why you...smell like vanilla?"
Pluto can sniff out anything vanilla from a mile away. He secretly hoped that this was just Marco's natural musk. Like how Pluto just constantly smells like peaches.

He took pleasure in witnessing Ellie blush, and braced himself for her explanation. As she described the events, he felt his heart race faster. All this time I figured she wasn't paying attention. I was clueless...The real Ian. So he really did cloak himself in mystery and indifference. Still, she had been drawn to him. Their meetings at the cafe were brief, and yet it was just the right amount capture her attention. "Ohh? I had no idea you were so conscious of me." He smiled playfully. Directing his question right back at him, he thought back to the moment he first moved into Suncreast. He had always admired her from afar really. Not allowing himself to linger on thoughts of her too long. It was actually being with Lexi on movie night that caused him to accept and admit his true feelings. They had been there for quite some time, he simply refused to believe it.

Her arms wrapped around him, and his eyes softened. Get to know me she says...would that really be okay? "Wouldn't you like to know?" He teased, as if he weren't going to say anything at all. But then bit his lip as he thought of what to say. "I guess you could say I've always found you alluring. Especially when the sun flows in through the windows and reflects off of your hair. I used to just go for the warmth of the coffee, but at some point the warmth in your smile was enough. And now I get to see it all the time." He ran his fingers through her hair. "Ah, you'll pay for making me say something so embarrassing out loud." He squeezed her playfully.

Marco watched as Pluto gently wrapped his arms around the brazen young man as, taking Marco into what was the warmest, most soothing hug he'd felt in his entire life. His comedic, tough-guy attitude completely vanished as he found himself melting like butter in Pluto's arms, his lean yet well-toned muscles relaxing and his mind going empty; a good kind of empty. If they weren't in public, Marco felt like he would have hugged back; keeping the beautiful blond man in his arms for a little while longer. But, fearing that he would only make a fool out of himself if he did that, he kept his arms lip as Pluto hugged him. Oh, and he also smelled peaches... Pluto, the very young man whom he hadn't even spend an our life and had already fell in love with... smelled like peaches. Life just couldn't get any better for Marco.

Feeling Pluto give one last subtle squeeze before letting him go, Marco sat idly for a moment before letting out a smooth sigh, still taking in that moment as he then looked to at Pluto and said, "Dude... you actually hug better than like, anyone I know."

"You know if it makes you feel any better, sometimes just because the place is expensive that doesn't mean it is a fun place." Pluto commented as he leaned against the railing, Marco listening as he criss-crossed his legs as he sat while calming down from the hug, "If it double makes you feel any better, my parents wouldn't bring me to any special outings because I had...braces for a while. They even got mad when one of the paparazzi got a picture of me with said braces."

"Man, that must of really sucked," Marco playfully chuckled, "I never got braces in my life, but I knew kids in my neighborhood who had'em. But man oh man did they look
horrible! Like something you'd see straight outta Hellraiser! By the way, I've watched the whole franchise. Best. Shit. Ever."

"So, do you wanna explain why you...smell like vanilla?"

Marco blinked from this, before remembering the spilt vanilla shake he landed his butt on. though instead of giving Pluto an answer, a mischievous grin appeared on his face as Marco then asked, "Sure, but first... you gotta tell me why you smell like peaches, my guy~"

Nick wasn't sure if he'd spent an hour or ten minutes at the fair, but then again, he wasn't paying all that much attention. The dark-haired boy wandered aimlessly amongst rides and games, not really knowing what he was supposed to do.

He was glancing at a selection of prizes when he caught sight of a familiar face. Saren.

Feeling a little better that there was a friend amongst the seemingly endless crowd of noisy strangers, Spook walked towards her with a smile on his pale features.

"Hi, Saren," he called out, waving to her before he noticed the man she was with.

So it really was a date.

If a broken heart could physically shatter, Nick would've left jagged red shards scattered all across the fairground floor.

It wasn't that he had feelings for Saren, because he didn't, at least not in that way. Seeing them so happy and carefree with each other, however... it hurt.

It hurt to want something you could never, ever have.

Nicholas Sterling was blessed with all the money and fame one could ever desire, but right now, it didn't matter. Nothing mattered.

"Oh, nevermind... I see you're busy. Have fun." His usually silken voice cracked on the last word, but Spook didn't stick around long enough for her to notice. Tears stung at glassy eyes, and he choked back a pathetic-sounding sob.

Waiting until he was out of sight to take off running, the teenage celebrity no longer cared that his beanie had fallen off or that his identity was now plain to see.

He eventually collapsed against the side of a food trailer, lungs burning from after-effects of his sudden escape. Forcing his eyes shut to fight back the now-steady flow of tears, he didn't even notice the approach of two very excited girls.

"Oh. My. Gaaaaawwwd, that's Spook! Over there!" Vanna shrieked, dropping her ice cream without hesitation and bolting towards the gloomy figure. Vinni was right behind her, arms outstretched in anticipation.

"Spook! We love you!"

Fangirls.

Normally, Nick would take off running and never look back. Today, however, he didn't care. If they went insane and accidentally killed him, he doubted he'd even notice.

Instead, he stood completely still, barely even flinching as they tackled him to the ground and very nearly broke a few ribs in the process.

Whatever.

The woman was taking a small stroll. She had placed a "be back in thirty minutes" sign at the front of her mystical tent. But Octavia wasn't gone for more than five before she saw a gazelle get attacked by two lions right before her eyes. Well. That doesn't happen every day. She would have let the matter be, fate does as fate wills. That was her motto. From the way the girls squealed, she figured he had to be famous. But as she was about to continue on, she caught a glimpse of the man underneath, tears stained his face. Her motherly instincts kicking in, Octavia reached in, pulling both of the girls off of him. She hovered over them with a cryptic smile. "Well, if you're going to kill him you would've thought you might be more secretive." And pulling a spherical object out from her breasts, she tore off a clip and slammed it onto the floor. A cloud of purple dust and sparkles filled the air, encasing them all, depriving them of vision. Thought the smoke would dissipate within ten seconds , Octavia had carried the man (princess style mind you) off and away. Escape complete! For now anyways....

The tall women made it back to her tent, once inside, she sat the man down in the velvet chair. Moving the close the curtains, she sighed. Oh lord Tavi Myrons, always meddling. Turning to face the young man, she looked him over. "Mhmm...darling you have all kinds of negative energy around you. You be lucky mother Tavi was there to save your ass." Without warning, she hugged him against her. Practically smothering his face into her boobs. "But you just let it all out darling! Nobody is watching." She removed herself and sat across from him, holding her hands out. "Go on dear, ask me anything. I'll tell you the answers to all your questions." Her voice was airy, but her eyes glistened with a seriousness.

When Adelaide stepped out of the stand, Malia bowed her head forward to inhale the sweet smell of the flowers. "Carnations," she breathed out, "Beautiful just like the person that picked them." She straightened up, giving Adelaide a grin that showed nothing but kindness. This is just too good to be true, but I have proof that it's true, we both do.

"So, where do you want to go now? Didn't you say you wanted to wander around?"

"I really don't mind where we go," Malia answered in thought, "I mean as long as I get some pictures, and still get to spend the time with you." She sent Adelaide a wink and laced their fingers together, interlocking them. "If you let me, I would like it if you would become my model, more like my muse..." she leaned in close to her and whispered, "I don't think I can't anything beautiful without you..."

Ellie smiled at his teasing comment and laid her head on his chest. She listened to his booming voice along with his heartbeat, as she closed her eyes. Everything sounded so perfect in her ears, which she couldn't help engrave everything into her memory, his embrace, his voice, his heart beat, even his words. When Ian ran his fingers through her hair, she let out a sigh of happiness.

"Ah, you'll pay for making me say something so embarrassing out loud."

Ellie laughed as he squeezed her tightly.
"But you are so handsome when you say those things!" she laughed as she tilted her head up to look up at his face. Grinning she asked, "If I have to pay, can I pay through a kiss?" She didn't let his answer as she gave him a quick peck on the cheek. "Was that the payment you wanted?" she teased.

"Let's play some games first! Its time to show off your skills Sam. Amaze me!"

Sam laughed at her excitement and followed her to the shooting game she first picked. He watched her take her first shot and missed. Taking the second shot, it hit, but not enough to drop the metal target. The last also missed which got Saren to frown a bit. To win, it seemed like you still have to drop two to get the big prizes.

"Ehhhh??! But it seems so easy in the movies.... I guess I should stick to shooting in video games huh?"

"I know you can do it, you just have to aim the barrel on the last target zone, and shot," he told her, remembering the many time he had played this to get his sisters prizes. He took money out of his wallet and gave it to the man tending the stand. He handed Saren the gun to her and positioned the gun properly for her, as Sam instructed her, "See if you focus on the top of the last circle, do what you did to steady yourself, and shot."

Sam helped press down the trigger which downed the target. Sam smiled and stepped away, "See, now you try on your own. You just need one more to get the big price." He repeated the steps once more as he watched Saren take aim. Yeah, he could have won the big prize, but what was the fun in that anymore. Ever since he learned the secret behind the game he had always used it to get his sisters the prize.

"Hi, Saren."

Same turned toward the voice that called out to Saren, to find a guy covered under a hoodie and beanie. Wow, it's way too hot to be wearing all of that! Before Sam could hear what the guy was going to say, the mystery guy walked away, leaving him a bit confused. He turned to Saren and asked, "Do you know him?"

As Sam moved around her to direct her shot, Saren's eyes widened with awe. He pressed the trigger down the first time and hit the target with ease. Ahhh he is good at this. Hmm...he seems kind of close like this. Saren tried to keep the same stance and follow his directions as he backed off to allow her to try for herself. Sam wasn't like most guys Saren ran into. Normally they would take over completely and take the fun out of it. But Sam actually believed in her, and that was enough to encourage her. Yes...I can do this!

Pulling the trigger for a second time, she managed to hit the target, and her whole face lit up. "Ah!! Wow, I actually did it. All thanks to you of course." Saren smiled. The man asked for what prize she wanted, and she pointed to the husky, absolutely in heaven as he reached it out to her to take. She really loved dogs the most. She barely heard the voice that called out to her, and as she turned to the hooded figure, she almost couldn't believe it. "Ah? Ni-" But before she could finish, he had muttered something too quiet to hear, and vanished. E-EHHH??! She thought her eyes were playing tricks on her, perhaps she had witnessed a ghost Nick-look-a-like?

But as Sam questioned her about him, she pulled her thoughts back to reality. So it was him. Without answering she began to rush after him, but she only made it a mere three steps before someone had collided with her, sending her falling back. Why did he look so...

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry are you okay?" A woman pulled Saren to her feet and apologized again, before walking off. It was useless, even if she tried she would probably never find Nick through the crowd. Turning back to Sam with an apologetic gaze she spoke, "Ah, sorry. I did know him. But it looks like I wasn't fast enough to notice. It seems this is happening a lot today..." She couldn't figure it out. But she would investigate it later. She couldn't burden Sam with her worries. Shaking her head she took her stuffed husky and smiled up at Sam. "Thank you again for teaching me. It's your turn to choose a game for us!"

Am I dead?

Nick couldn't be sure, though he felt anything but alive.

One moment, he'd been crying into the metallic wall of some second-rate food trailer, and the next he was in the process of slowly being murdered.

It was all disjointed pieces, spinning and swirling as he watched the sky fly above him. Their faces were blurred, and he couldn't seem to focus on anything.

Another shape joined the mix, one that seemed more mature, though he had no idea if that was true or not. She, it was most definitely a she, said something incomprehensible, and then Nick knew he was really, truly dead.

Glitter. Glitter everywhere. Was this the afterlife? It was certainly a far stretch from what he'd been expecting, but to be fair, it wasn't horrible either. As soon as he'd adjusted to the sparkles, he felt as though he were floating away.

It occurred to the teenager that he really should've been terrified, and yet he felt strangely comfortable, as though he wasn't alone.

Then, more than a little overwhelmed, he blacked out.

Coming to a few seconds later, Nicholas realized that he was most certainly not dead.

The strange woman he'd seen earlier must've managed to carry him away, as he was now sitting in a velvet chair. The location was very unfamiliar, and he couldn't help but glance around with a dazed expression.

"W-wha?"

He stared the woman up and down, barely believing what he had seen. She appeared like something out of a fantasy film, regal, mysterious and more than a little intimidating. The boy himself looked deceptively innocent, teardrops clinging to the fringy lashes that framed his widened eyes. In fact, if you hadn't been aware of his usual temperament, you might've even called him cute.

"You could say I'm a bit depressed... and, uh, thanks," Spook mumbled, sounding more than a little sheepish. He wiped at his face awkwardly, fully aware it was a mess of tears and smudged eyeliner.

He nearly jumped out of his skin when she hugged him suddenly. "Mmmph!" The musician struggled a little, more out of pure shock than anything else... not to mention how awkward it felt to be so, er, close to a total stranger.

Once she pulled away, she invited him to "let it all out", and though he tried to keep a straight face, his lip quivered in protest. Almost immediately after, the warm sensation of tears returned.

Nicholas felt beyond humiliated, but he couldn't seem to turn off the waterworks no matter how hard he tried.

"Ask you anything, huh?"

While his cynical nature prevented him from truly believing in anything mystical, he had absolutely nothing left to lose at this point.

"All my friends, they have someone. Will... will I always feel this lonely?"

"I'm guessing he's Nick?" Sam asked but then asked, "Do you mean bumping into people? Or missing out on noticing them?" After she smiled and thanked him for the pointers he gave her a smile and said, "No problem. I've beeing doing that for years for my sisters. I guess it had just grown old on me, I'm just happy you got to win."

Sam looked around to the other stands as he tried to find another game to play. Then he found one. He pointed toward the balloon tart stand and say, "How about some darts. It's more skill than tactics, so that would be fun. Are you up for some darts?" He walked slowly back toward the stands, as he waved Saren over. He paused as he came back to her and offered to carry the large stuffed animal of a husky, "Do you want me to help you with that?"

Handsome huh? Ian couldn't help but smile doubtfully. Thoughts of Ollie calling him attractive returned briefly. He was getting all sorts of compliments today. Should he direct the back? It would probably be the polite thing to do, but then again Ian wasn't that type of person. The only way he would compliment a friend was if it was in a teasing joking way. Asking if a kiss was payment enough, Ian barely opened his mouth to reply, when he felt soft lips against his cheek. The sweet surprise made his heart jump.

Was that the payment I wanted? He chuckled, his eyes glowing with mischief once more. "No. I'm not satisfied." He drew her away behind the side of the vending machine that was nearby, away from prying eyes. "Try again." He leaned against the machine, penetrating her with daring eyes. She looked so innocent, her soft eyes that set his heart aflame. Will I be able to call you mine? Or is that too selfish...
He was still conflicted about keeping her so close.

"No. I'm not satisfied."

Ellie was pulled behind the vending machine, away from the direct public eye. She couldn't help laugh at the sudden action, even when he leaned closer to her face, her smile was still on her lips. When he told her to try again, she softens her smile and eyes as she let her fingers comb through his hair. Ellie slowly pulled Ian down to her as she looked deeply into his eyes, allowing their lips to brush lightly for a bit.

Their breath mingled with each other and then Ellie closed the gap. As she continued to kiss Ian, she kept her body close to his as she took in the heat that was radiating from him.
This is bliss. A bit out of breath, she locked eyes with Ian once more and asked, staying close to his face, "Was that what you wanted?"

Saren had nodded, not surprised he managed to put it all together. He was involved in crime investigation after all, reading others would be his thing. "Perhaps both." She laughed, remembering bumping into Xander. It was not her day. But on the bright side, she met a video game designer, and won a husky plush.

Offering to play darts, Saren gleefully agreed. This was something she was actually good at. Her father had a dart board in his room that they would use to bond with each other with. She figured the balloon dart game couldn't be that difficult. She was about to refuse when Sam offered to carry her prize, but she remembered the bunny from earlier, and although this wasn't as large, she didn't want to take any chances. So she nodded and allowed him to take it. She didn't normally take help from others, but somehow Sam was different. She had a feeling he was genuinely being helpful. Not that he saw her as a frail being. "Thank you."

Walking with him over to the dart stand, she received a couple darts. She was about throw them when the voice of a small girl beside her caught her attention. She was on the verge of crying, her mother attempting to soothe her, to no avail. "I really wanted the tiger plush...." "I know honey, but I'm just no good at it..I can buy one for you okay?" The girl wasn't having it, and Saren, a determined look in her eyes questioned the man behind the counter what she would have to do to get the tiger. So the tiger is going to take 4 out of 5 shots. And so she drew her arm back, and released each shot perfectly. Giving her prize to the eager child, her mother thanked her generously.

Satisfied, Saren then turned to Sam. "Hehe! Let's see you get a perfect score!" She challenged.

For some reason, Ollie heaved a sigh and splayed his arms out after they were finished. He stared upward with his face angled at the ceiling as she explained her standards to him. They didn't surprise him, really. Most girls wouldn't take it off before at least a date or two, but that sometimes irked Ollie. Flings with no strings was what he enjoyed most, and a stripper would most definitely agree to those therms. Lexi didn't seem like the stripper type to him, yet hookers weren't that interesting to him. Nothing ever fully satisfied him, it seemed. Not even guys. Another thought of Pluto floated lazily through his mind. Was there something that he could dig deeper into between them? Maybe he'd finally get the spark he'd heard about with him. Love at first sight seemed like such a childish concept, but it entertained him nonetheless. That could be the reason he drifted from lover to lover so casually and so often.

"I'm not sure if we're dating or just messing around..."

We're just messing around. At least...I am. Not like I do much else.

It took him a second to get back to reality.
"I get it. I do. Let's just get to going downstairs. They've been waiting." Ollie childishly blew a raspberry and shrugged, wiggling out from under Lexi. "I mean...I've known you like what? A day? I wouldn't exactly call us soulmates, but whatever. You do you." He kept an unfocused, vacant look on his face as he exited the room, seemingly on autopilot. When he finally blinked and took notice of his surroundings, Ollie was at the doors of the building. Smooth.

Taking the husky from Saren, he followed Saren as she made her way to the stand. Once they made it to the stand he heard the outcry of a little girl as she claimed that she wanted the stuffed tiger. Something sparked in Saren as she walked up to the stand and took the game a try. As he watched as she won a tiger for the little girl that wanted it.

"Hehe! Let's see you get a perfect score!"

"Well," he gave Saren a broad smile, "How about I one up the anty. I'll try to aim for all five, but without looking?" He handed the Husky back to her and walked up to the stand and placed the money down. He found a comfortable stance and physically moved his body around, calculating his aims. Once found the perfect aims, he placed a hand on top of his closed eyes and began to take aim.

With others around him also playing, he didn't quite hear the exact amount of pops, but the man announced, "I'll be damned... you got four out of five." Sam nodded and looked over his should, motioning Saren to pick with ever prize she wanted. "Well, I didn't get perfect but got the big prize. Go ahead," he told her, "I'm sure my sisters have their own collection with their friends, and Luke loved to ruin them."

"I want you to be mine."

Ellie was taken aback a bit at his words. She replayed them in her head as she watched him step away from her.
Be mine. She couldn't help the blush from rushing up to her cheeks, along with the flutter in her stomach. I want to be yours, was all that was going through her head, but she couldn't say it, she was just too overwhelmed with joy to do so. Ian extended her a can as she took it from him.

"We should go without them, she can always message you to meet up right?"

She took in what he told her, but the only thing that was going through her mind was the answer she wanted to tell him.
"...be yours," Ellie finally found her voice, "I'll be yours..." She looked up at his golden eyes, a huge grin on her lips as her face was still a bit red. Dropping her head to look down at her feet she asked, "That is if you really want me too."

"I get it. I do. Let's just get to going downstairs. They've been waiting."

Lexi watched as Ollie began to act childish from his previous romantic manner. It was new to her to see at first hand. As she sat on the couch, she watched Ollie get up and answered, "Right..." Lexi stayed seated as she kept an eye on him, worried that whatever this was was his illness rising to the surface. This was new to her, but she wanted to make sure she didn't jump into anything too quickly.

"I mean...I've known you for what? A day? I wouldn't exactly call us soulmates, but whatever. You do you."

"I never said we were," she told him as he said soulmates, a bit offended. Lexi got up from the couch, trying to exit along with him, but his last comment made her freeze. "Ollie!" she called out as she watched him exit her apartment, leaving her standing in the middle of her living room. Lexi was in shook. Did... did I say something wrong? Was I too forceful with him!?

"Way to go!" she exclaimed as she collapsed on the same couch she and Oliver had a moment at. At that very moment, she just wanted to crawl in a ball and just stay indoor, but something deep down told her to not allow Oliver's words to cause her to crumble. With determination, she changed out of her casual dress and into a black crop top and high waisted jeans shorts. Taking her small purse and a kimono she exited her apartment and headed down to the Lobby.

Once down she found, Ellie and Ian being cute. It felt like a sharp knife was plunged into her heart, but she played it off as she smiled and called out to them. "Well, aren't you two cute," she cooed, "I can leave and give you guys some space, but we should start heading to the fair." Lexi stood next to them, not to close where she was invading their space, but close enough to seem apart of the two. Show no weakness! she yelled at herself.

Though the flood of tears blurred his vision, Nick could've sworn the woman seemed almost amused. Then again, it didn't surprise him. Watching a world-famous celebrity have a nervous breakdown in front of you certainly fell within the realm of amusing, after all.

No, as bedraggled and humiliated as he felt, the teen star couldn't blame her.

"I guess you have a point there," he said softly, voice ragged from crying. "I did only turn 18 a few months ago..."

He trailed off, wondering why he was telling his life story to a stranger, and a rather odd one at that.

For a carnival performer however, she was eerily accurate at guessing his personality. Spook was well aware of how to put on an act, but this seemed almost too coincidental. Creepy.

Her predictions startled him a bit, glassy eyes wide with a confused, slightly skeptical look of wonder.

"Since I know for a fact no one has feelings for me, I'm gonna take my chances with the meteorite."

Laughing bitterly, a touch of his usual attitude returned. The musician was too worn out for sarcasm or arguments at the moment, but it was probably for the best.

Nicholas stared at the turtle that was placed in his hand as she described its power, and he had to admit the idea was fascinating in a kitschy, B-movie kind of way.

He was about to comment when she revealed another item, this one a penguin... or more specifically, an Affection Penguin. The idea reminded him a bit of some fictional love spell he'd read in a book once, but he found it endearing in an odd way.

"Those are pretty interesting," he mused, and it wasn't even sarcasm. The items, as unbelievable as they were, could at least could claim points for originality.

Tavi wasn't done yet, though. The woman brought out another strange object, this one resembling a lizard. As he listened to the description of it, Nick couldn't help but think how useful it would be in an industry as filled with fakes as music. Maybe it could help him avoid scammy record labels or something... if it actually worked, of course.

And when Tavi so generously offered the odd collection to him, he confronted just how desperate he'd become.

Believing in magical objects? What's next, a unicorn? Spook's cynicism was alive and well, but he couldn't ignore the little voice in the back of his head that whispered of curiosity and the warmth that sharing moments with someone close could bring.

Reaching into his pocket, Nick ran one manicured finger over his gilded chequebook.

Oh, you foolish, foolish kid.

"Look, I'm not sure what these... er, mystical trinkets retail for, but there are advantages to being in the top ten richest people under 25. I've written 7 figure cheques before, so money isn't really an issue... if you're not willing to part with them though, I understand. I have a few things like that."

Spook nodded knowingly at her next comment. He hadn't been expecting anything concrete or exact, and a part of him was grateful she hadn't just said he'd die alone.

"If you're offering, maybe help me avoid the next fangirl attack?"
The wink didn't go unnoticed, and he giggled a bit in spite of himself, trying to lighten the mood.
