Sopranos Sopranos The demon clan are aligned with the empire, the demon hunting magicians are aligned with the shogunate, also the Katagami were attacked when they were marching down the valley not while they were in their camp.

ooh shit I missed so many details. Like I said I was just confused with the current situation right now. Maybbe I'll post again later when I get everything right.

Alright I fixed the post. Currently I'm still confused, how many is in the valley at the moment ? Who are not in the valley and where are they ?

Currently Katagami is the only shogunate clan in active combat in the Valley.

The Komori and Fuka (an NPC clan that controls the castle) are engaging the Katagami from the front while the Fujimoto are attacking the poorly defended left flank.

The Tanako are falling back to the castle

And the Mibu and Tsuchimikado are hanging out around the Shogunate main base.

The Oniware and Ichikoji are assumed to be in the field but neither poster has done anything with them yet, so they're in a schrodinger state.

Making the extra pages, trying to get them all up as quickly as possible since I have to go to work soon so some edits will probably made. I'm also taking requests for anything anyone thinks we should add so throw out any ideas you have.

Just finished: Clans Page. This'll just be a place to fill out extra details on clans and such for people who feel there isn't enough easily accessible information on the exist ones.
https://www.rpnation.com/threads/sengoku-jidai-the-clans.331659/

Working on: Battles page. I'll record battles the battles that have occurred here, including notable events, the characters on each sides, battle maps, and the ultimate outcome. Mostly to be used as a tool for people who need to catch up on what they've missed down the road.

Planned: Lore page. Much needed and requested, details into the background into the setting, the situation of demons, how magic works, etc.

What sort of thing do you want to know? As in what clans or what battles or something else?
I'd like to know what is the current situation and what is happening. I think I'm going to go with the Ikko Ikki clan however. As they were often wanderers with a different religion (Ikko Ikki not Shinto Buddhism), it would make a good character addiction as a sort of mercenary.

At the moment the first battle is taking place on the planes outside Fukashi Castle. It's currently controlled by the Emperor's forces and the shogunate are attacking, the shogunate at the moment appear to be heavily out-manned and look like they may route soon. (It was already decided that the shogunate would lose this battle)

More to the point. This is a fictional version of japan fighting a fictional civil war between the emperor and Shogun.

The clans themselves are also fictional.

If you're interested we already have a sort of Saika Ikki stand in in the form of the Oniware Mercenaries.

We don't have a pure warrior monk faction if that's more what you're leaning into with the Ikko thing.

Yup I think I'll be on the emperor's side. It made more sense for his mentality. He would probably have a slight beef to settle with the Samurai and Shogun.

SAIGO-NO-HEATS SAIGO-NO-HEATS I use mobile so I can't make changes to the map. The Tsuchimikado basically have the Kyoto Prefecture and are based in Nijo Castle. Do I have to change this becauase it sits in imperial territory.

Alright. Got a few things coming down the line but for starters, here's this
18221835_288530931572819_2016078197170015553_n.jpg

This is the (tenuous) official map of the war as of september 1560 the (tenuous) official date as of the battle of Chiisagata Valley. Barring anyone taking any particular umbrage with the positioning of forces the red territories will represent the Imperial controlled lands and the blue the shogunate.
Similarly, the points represent important locations. The white point represents Kyoto, the imperial capital, the Yellow point is Edo, the Shogunate Capital, and the black point is Fukashi Castle.

Furthermore, I'm officially abandoning the whole "demon war" backstory thing altogether. Frankly it wasn't well explained and only managed to confuse newcomers to the point that most people just didn't bother acknowledging it. This doesn't mean we're abandoning established fantasy elements, Magic exists, demons are still around, and the shogun still hates them but otherwise just assume the setting is relatively historical. (I.e. muskets are no longer ancient relics, they just come from the Portuguese.)

Also if anyone wants it, I can post a white version of this map for anyone who wants to mark their clan's location.
It says here that Kyoto is the imperial capital but I wanted the Tsuchimikado to have the Kyoto Prefecture so does that mean I have to move the Tsuchimikado lands?

Okay I posted my clan post but I still have a few things to add. Since Shirobara is Katagami's retainer, they don't have land and just rule one castle in Hitachi (Katagami's land) which is Oda Castle (up north of Mito Castle). Luckily I still have Nobunaga's Ambition SOI to keep for the information. I'll add the clan specialty later.

Even if they were from there they'd be in exile on account of being a Shogun supporting clan that was pretty much neighbors with the Emperor himself. So they'd be operating out of somewhere else at the moment anyway.
