SAIGO-NO-HEATS Sorry for my things I'm still a little busy with finals so I cant post anything today. I think if you need to then you should proceed the time skip for everyone.

For your new RP ideas, I'm already kinda busy with two RP at hand so if I'd join I wouldn't be able to maintain the work rate as I do this RP. The idea as I'm already in a few superheroes RP so... a Shounen RP should be fun, what about a Hitman reborn RP ?

Because there has been a lots of things already happened to Shirobara recently (Marriage between Kiyohime and Masaki, forming ally with the Yamashita shinobi, march up north to help Ueno, Marriage between Osamu and Sayuri) and I dont want to overload myself with too much events in just one phase. You should proceed to the next phase whenever you feel like it.

Imperial forces are Starting in Kyoto meeting with the emperor.

Get any of the stuff that happened in between out of the way in your initial posts or just mention that it happened as you introduce your characters to the scene

The only references I could find for it are German and Persian. The only Japanese references I could find for its usage anywhere were attack on titan.

But yeah, he's accepted. I'm gonna end up calling him Tokugawa 90% of the time anyway.

So I'm working on the secondary RP and it's starting to develop towards a kind of even break between the Superhero and Shonen RPs to become this sort of generic "battle city" type of thing.

My main problem with the original Shonen idea was that while I like the whole "seasons" idea in concept, in practice trying to have that sort of structure seems to wind up with everyone just sort of getting dragged along.

Basically, we need to decide on how it'll be structured.

Option A). The original idea, in which we have 2 fully defined sides (Heroes and Villians) with the heroes getting stronger with each "season" as each villian is defeated and a new season starts, naturally introducing new, stronger villains with it. The main pro of this would be that, hypothetically speaking, it would make for a more coherent story structure over all.

Option B). Would be a much more open structure, no defined arcs or sides with everyone just sort of acting on their own terms. The main pro here would be that it would allow for greater player freedom, though at the cost a more defined structure and a central villian.

I can do either but I'd much rather know what you guys would prefer on account of this being a group thing and all. Also if you have any ideas of your own I'd like to hear them.

As a reader, one of the things I've immediately noticed is unlike most other rp's (and to your credit) there has been a load of eventful posts in such a short amount of time. I was wondering if there was any consideration for a sort of lore/time-line page to help as a directory and reference point for past events? This would perhaps serve to help new members and occasional readers like myself. Plus it would probably be cool to have members have their actions noted down and 'ingrained' into the story.

I also see you're considering a second RP. As interesting as that sounds, I hope it doesn't take away from this one

Wow. I didn't think anyone was actually reading this. In that case, I've actually been sitting on the lore page for a while now but just haven't gotten around to finishing it. I'll see about trying to throw it up tonight.

And don't worry, this RP will stay the main focus, and I want both of them to be entertaining. I'm glad it does actually feel like the story is moving as that was my main goal with how I've tried to structure it. Although I do worry that it's less fun from the player's perspective since it kind of requires everyone to be either constantly shuffled along or get mired down if someone gets busy or can't post. I'm trying to strike a nice balance but I'm not always sure if it works. I'm glad it at least looks decent from the outside looking in though.

Just got off work, so here's the cliffnotes:

Setting is relatively normal Fuedal Japan with the main differences being that Magic and Demons exist and the emperor has some actual political power.

The emporer decides to oust the Shogun to try and regain control of the country from the military government, samurai lords are forced to take sides.

The first major battle took place at a place called Chiisagata, the fighting was fierce but ultimately the Shogunate forces lost pretty hard.

Time passed, and some clans were wiped out, namely the Chosokabe who controlled most of the western islands of Kyushu and Tosa were destroyed by the Komori and Otomo clans.

At the moment The Shogunate forces are gathered at Edo meeting with the Shogun and the Imperial forces are gathered at Kyoto meeting with the Emperor. Both sides are getting ready for a major offensive.

I'm skimming over a lot of stuff but that's the thousand foot view. There's quite a bit more when you get into personal stories and clan histories but that should cover what you need to know. If you have any other questions either Sopranos or Dante Verren should be able to help. I'll let everyone know when I toss up the Lore page in a bit, that'll cover everything in a bit more detail.
