oh @HEAT glad to see you're back ~ this RP is still currently one of my favorite. ChimpMan if there is anything you need just ask, I think I know most things happened in the Shogun side, on the Emperor side Dante should be your man.

Good to be back. Been swamped, I meant to post yesterday but didn't get the chance. Got tomorrow off though so maybe we can make some real progress.

Prototype CS for the as-of-yet-unnamed second RP (Working title is Shonen Taisen but that's super generic so I'm requesting ideas for a name.)

Name: The character’s name, real or assumed, whichever they more commonly go by.

Age: The character’s age

Gender: The character's Gender

Race: Humans, aliens, gods, demons. Anything goes.

Appearance: What the character looks like. Pictures are fine.

Personality: What does your character act like? How do others perceive them? What are their strong points and personal flaws? What are their goals and what are they willing to do to achieve them?

Power Level: Purely aesthetic, power levels are a rough representation of how strong a character is at a given part of the story. In The current season (Season 1) power levels cannot be higher than 3 digits.

Powers: A general overview of what your character can do. Anything from being super skilled at a particular style of fighting, to the ability to create or control an element, to simple movement powers like flight or teleportation. Word of warning though, Mind control, possession or similar abilities can only affect NPCs unless the player you intend to use it on fully agrees to it before hand.

Signature Techniques: More defined, special skills. While powers include things like the ability to shoot fire these are your “kamehama” style attacks that help define how you actually use those powers in practice as well as other important abilities worth of naming such as transformations. You only get a limited number of these abilities that increases with each season, so give them good descriptions. In season one you will start with 2 slots already filled at the start as well as a 3rd “Secret” slot for you to keep hidden and then reveal (Or completely make up) when you feel it dramatically appropriate.

Technique Name: What do you call this technique? Make it as big, awesome, or stupid as you can. No need to hold back!
Technique Appearance: How does the technique look as its used? Does the energy crackle and swirl as it gathers in the user’s hands before being released as radiant beam of brilliant light? Or Gather like dark flames around the user’s hands, igniting whatever they touch with each punch? Be descriptive, and don’t be afraid to be elaborate!
Technique Effect: What does the technique actually do? Does it strip flesh from bone with each hit? Or allow the user to regenerate their own injuries as long as they are making contact with another living being? Or does it simply turn them into something else entirely? Be creative!

Ah interesting! From what I've read I assumed that was the case with the current posts. I guess I only have two lore-related questions really:

1) The Emperor has decided to rid of the current Shogun. I'm wondering on the specific reasoning of that. Is it because the Shogun was planning a Coup? Or perhaps the Emperor merely felt threatened by the Shogun?

2) You've mentioned magic and demons. Is there any set structure/rules/system regarding these? To word it a better way, is there any set method of magic which the Samurai use? I've seen some character sheets include Ki. Or is the sky the limit and anything and everything goes? And do we have any information regarding demons at the present moment other than their existence? I ask because it may be really interesting to explore.

Also would either of you say there's a particular imbalance of members on either side? I'll be happy to join wherever might be more practical in terms of member distribution.

There will be separate pages for Hero and Villian submissions as Villains will have a slightly different sheet. Beyond that, individual morality can probably be summed up in the Personality section.

1). There actually hasn't been an official reason as to why, but the assumed answer is that he saw the Shogunate as corrupt and decadent (it is) and thought it was time for a change.

2). At the moment anything goes as far as magic but the existing forms are Ki manipulation and Onmyodo, used by Blitzer's Ikko Arashi and Garuda's Tsuchimikado clan, respectively. The first is a monk, the latter are court magicians. The samurai themselves have no established magical system.

Demons are actively hunted on policy by the Shogunate and the Emperor has made no mention of changing that, as such they are pretty universally in hiding. However several some have managed to form clans or rise to rank in other clans and fight along one side or the other. This generally goes completely unexplained and I've pretty much given up on trying to police it.

Thought I posted this Friday but apparently I forgot. Stuff happening on my end very busy. Have to go on hiatus until Friday or Saturday depending sorry. If anyone wants to do something bring it up in character. Dante can act for my characters to move the plot if nescessary but don't do anything too drastic. Will be on again this weekend.
