Fantasy Seiunita OOC

I doubt the northerners even understand tax.

The Northerners were actually a powerful kingdom that existed in ancient times. They opposed the Elysium's beliefs time and time again, but they were eliminated when the Elysians called on the Northern Crusade which effectively ended Northern Kingdom rule.

Huh, my head's not in the game today somehow. Maybe I just need some more mental exercise.

So reading some of these past few pages I really feel like the Light Kingdom has been made out to be something that none of us 3 original creators ever intended and it really makes me sad to see something we spent hours working on become so warped

*Facepalm*

Shit, this is all my fault.

Though I really thought it would be fun to make it something like Game of Thrones.

Change is good, they need to understand it. It'd be a flat, do-good world without our injection of realism — no need to fret over it.

You're right, Eleph, those were my thoughts when I first set my eyes on the Light kingdom. There were so many questions that I wanted to ask, but I didn't know where to start because everything was just so... sugarcoated in my eyes. Then it dawned on me, I didn't have to change anything specifically, I had to change the ENTIRE KINGDOM. So I did. For me, it seemed like they were pretending nothing was wrong or they didn't see anything wrong with it.

And then again, nothing has REALLY changed; we didn't WARP their lore page or anything.

We just added different interpretations, characters, and just a bit of realistic axles, wheels and cogs — a behind-the-scenes look at a kingdom way too perfect on the outside to be actually perfect. Y'know, the biz.

No, we did not warp anything, we just exposed what Elysium truly is on the inside. They aren't demons or anything like that, they're human beings just like you and me. We have our dark sides, we have things we would never want to speak about... but the problem with the Elysians is that they would rather shut themselves in their own little world while destroying everything else. They justify it to themselves and tell themselves that they're doing so well but to outsiders they seem like monsters who are hellbent on destroying everything that isn't with them.

But even if the Elysians are like that, they're... people too and people can change. This is what I want to do in the story. I want to make the Elysians change for the better. I want Walter to become a better person. I want everyone to realize... that sometimes you've got to confront your inner demons if you really want to be happy with everyone else.

Yeah, and the wholesome three will render them into ashes. Because that's exactly what they deserve. Hell yeah!

Teach that to Jean. If he gets the chance, he'll guillotine the king, flay the princess, rack the hand, stake the noble masses, hew the royal masseuse.

Why do you think there are so many civil wars inside Elysium, Eleph? It's because there's so many problems that the Elysians never bothered to consider. The nationalism and paganism of the North, the growing heresy of the south, and the ambitious lords in the capital... and the many warring factions in the countryside with their own grievances.

I take it back, this isn't Game of Thrones, this is Game of Thrones ON DRUGS.

That makes me so sad. Why is Jean so violent? I wonder what Walter would think of this. That's the thing about Walter, nobody really knows what he'll do next. I really made him a free spirit that's so attractive to everyone else, but... even I keep wondering what the hell he'll do next if that happens.

I... wonder what made Walter like this. Why is he so cold? And yet why does he show such strong beliefs in someone at times? Why does Walter make my world spin around? Walter has been hurt so much and yet... he's stood strong in the face of adversity. It's like he's peeled so much of himself that he isn't human anymore in the inside. It's like he's reached the limit of what a normal human can really achieve and yet at the same time he's sacrificed his humanity for it.

Walter... is such an enigmatic character even for me, the one who made him. I envy him yet I feel so sorry for him at the same time. To me, Walter is not just another character anymore, he's... human and yet he's... he's something else.

Ah... If Hanako were to meet Walter, she might just fall for him. Might.

Yea you can do what you want with it, I don't care anymore lol

Hell, with all this political drama going on, I bet the Princess can make some real change in the kingdom. She can do something that her father never did...

There's potential in every character. Like I said before, a character is like this bottomless pit filled with depth. I want to see what Aurelie can do.

Ditto. Lots of potential there.

Exactly what I was trying to say.

Jean. Jean is a sort of anti-villain, because he has justifications, he has problems — he's a reverse anti-hero. A villain with a honour code, sometimes even legible reasons to enact his revenge. It's an unmistakable fact that he's somewhat whiny, somewhat conceited, and he's a big grudge-holder. Always has to make points, always has to do anything to achieve his goals.

What I plan to explore is his hypocrisy, the contradictions in his own core principles— the fact that his personality often clashes against one another.

He... He's a normal person, a character u try to visualize as an entire person. He's obsessive, often tries to glorify his own self — but really, just to cover up his whole, disgusting nature, and he knows it deep inside. He knows it, but he has yet to acknowledge it. Get out from his ignorant shell. And though he realizes the cynicism that plagues this world, he still tries to portray his principles, his cause, his work as idealistic.

He has his own path, his to take. And, maybe, someday, he'll get to redeem himself.

But, if Walter questions his sociopathy, he'll just answer with this:

It'd be interesting. To see what she does.

Is she gonna slip off, or is she gonna handle shit straight?

Either way, mercy is for the weak, and Jean ain't weak. Some things must be handled — handled right, I say.
