RWBY: Old Rites (In Character)

Pewter gave a small clap at her display "Impressive. And I wouldn't call it silly, all of us have our quirks, especially when it comes to our semblances." Pewter walked over and gave a close look at her spear "Is that a normal spear? Interesting. Well like they say you can't beat the classics or something like that."

Joshua grinned when he saw that Ryuuko was to be his partner. "I don't mind at all Ryuu, good thing is though, at least we knew each other prior to the test. It could be a lot wor-" Suddenly Joshua heard a rustling in the bushes behind Ryuu. With a puzzled look, he walked next to her to look at the bushes when he heard a low growl coming from them. Quickly activating his semblance, Joshua conjured a blue shield in front of him and Ryuu and shot a dust round into the bushes. His shot was rewarded with a yelp as three beowolves emerging with one of the three visibly wounded by the exchange. "We are not alone here Ryuu, get ready to fight."

Adrian Cuthbertson

"Its your blood that's red like roses~ Oh?" Adrian was softly singing to herself as she walked through the forest. She may not look it but she had caught notice of the two Ursa stalking her a few minutes ago by the sound of their paws moving on dead leaves. Still, what surprised her was the sound of flames and gunshots somewhere nearby. Following that, she found herself meeting Varien again.

"Oh morning Varien. I just realized that earlier too. Should I name them...? I'm kidding." Adrian dryly joked as she kicked up a pebble and caught it. "Stand back, Varien. The other one might get mad."

In one smooth motion, Adrian turned on the spot and focused on the closest Ursa. Her violet Aura flared slightly as she wound up her arm and tossed the pebble. Surprisingly still, instead of the pebble being tossed normally, it zoomed off fast enough to make a mini sonic boom before it wne threw the Ursa's head. Bone plate and all. The other Ursa roared and charged. Adrian calmly readied Peerless Gungir and hopped to the side, avoiding the Ursa's charge.

"Predictable..." Adrian muttered as she sliced off thr Ursa's head with a simple swing of her halberd. Had it been a pack of beowolves with its Alpha, she would have problems but a couple of Ursa Minors? None.

".... I guess this means partnership then...?" Adrian asked, staring at Varien's eyelevel since his actual eyes are hidden and all.

Argent Chatterton

"Whatever you say Sir Rendure. .... Hey wait a sec..." Argent replied, pocketing the spare magazine. Just in case as they say. He then stopped and crouched down next to Rendure as he peeked through the bushes and annouced the discovery of a Deathstalker. Argent was about to suggest sneaking past it but Rendure HAD to go and use his grenade launcher.

"H-hey wait... Why do I always get the crazy ones...?" Argent sighed, loading Pluck with an Ice Dust cartridge and Muck with an Earth Dust cartridge. Once both of his kukris are prepared, Argent gave one last sigh before charging after Rendure.

"Okay. Nope. I do not like that. No way." Argent took one look at the now angry Grimm scorpion and started fighting the urge to run away. He had to be cool too dammit!

"You are crazy Rendure! Good thing I like that in a partner!" Argent joked as he rushed forward and stabbed Pluck into the ground, sending a wave of ice towards the Deathstalker to immobilise its legs.

"You need to chill more. Heh. Geddit? Chill." Argent chuckled.

@Happy Red Mage

When he noticed the twin wolves and Alani coming in from the greenery, grey dispersed the soundwave into a massive shockwave that stunned the temporarily. After doing so, he wasted no time in using the axe blade of his weapon to decapitate one of the grimm, its head falling to the ground before the entire thing dissipated. "That I do! Nothing like a good walk with Gaea to clear the head every once in a while. Also, cool looking yin-yang wolves you got with ya!" He called back to her as he shot an Ice dust at grimm before it attacked him, following up by separating it at the midsection.

The two wolves of Alani's showed fierce prowess as they seemed to work together with their leader distracting, controlling, and striking with one another in tandem. With the help of Grey, the grimm hardly stood a chance. "Sheesh, and here I was hoping for a bit of a challenge!" The faunus remarked as she ripped into a beowulf, the beast dissipating swiftly after the deadly strike. "Lupa, Fenris, keep em contained we dont need these guys getting more of their friends. Watch for more that may show up too."  Alani commanded the two wolves whom quickly shifted, circling the group and mercilessly attacking any grimm that tried to flee or stray too far away from Alani or Grey. Grey's remark of her wolves drew a slight grin to her lips, Alani powerfully kicking a beowulf to the ground before running it through with one of her gauntlets. With the two of them working in tandem the beowulf numbers swiftly dwindled to just a handful beneath Grey and Alani's combined assault. It wasnt until the last of the creatures fell to Grey that Alani glanced around and relaxed a little.

"Phew, not half bad Grey, gotta say your brand of musical combat is a treat to the eyes and ears-well...not so much for grimm." Alani remarked as the claws to her gauntlets retracted. The two translucent wolves the faunus had summoned quietly looked about, still obeying Alani's command to keep vigilant for any grimm that may want to ambush her or Grey. With a soft breath the redhead's heartbeat slowed as the rush of battle died, a short whistle from her drawing the two wolves to either side of her. "Guess this means we're partners then." Alani observed as she looked at Grey, gently petting Lupa and Fenris as they sat on either side of her. "Waddya say then, shall we cook up our own brand of kickass badassery and show the others how it's done?" Alanis asked with a chuckle, thinking the two of them made a pretty good duo.

Nodding, Varien holstered his gun and made note of its six remaining bullets. "I agree. Do you know the direction of these relics? I could not see anything while I was in the air." He asked, hoping that she would have some sense of direction to their destination. He was curious about her semblance now after seeing the pebble shoot into the Ursa. She seemed to be skilled with her weapon, but more situations would come to prove that, he was sure. But now was not the time for standing around idly, they had a relic to find.

"Well I don't!" Rendure yelled out as he followed up Argent's immobilization with lightning Dust filled grenades. "You get back!" He shouted as he fired Destroyer at the Ursas. Electricity exploded outwards, electrocuting and singing the Ursas before he switched to Butcher and proceeded to repeatedly shoot at both of them until they died. "That's a wrap!' He announced, letting go of Butcher. "What say we go for the relics now before we get spotted by more Grimm." He said before heading for the area the relics were at.

Koamaru took care to take Gaucho in his arms as soon as he stepped onto his platform. His time spent listening to rumors last night had revealed that the platform he currently stood on would launch him into the Emerald Forest. It was important that his partner landed in the same place he did, and safely at that.

After a few instructions on what exactly they were to do, Koamaru found himself in the air. The launching part wasn't a joke. He speculated that those platforms could probably launch his weight several times over with ease. Now wasn't the time for investigating the mechanical workings of a platform though. He had to focus on landing himself and Gaucho safely.

With his free arm, he removed his tie and quickly tied it through the trigger guard of his sidearm. He had never tested the tensile strength of his attire, but he figured that it would hold up long enough to land. Hopefully.

As the treeline neared he began swinging his weighted tie above his head. He fell just below the canopy and caught a few small branches upon entry. However, when he encountered a major branch he was prepared. His arm sling forward and wrapped the weighted tie around the branch. The tie snapped taut as Koamaru held it in the tightest grip he had ever managed. The weight and intertia of his body caused him to swing around the branch and launch forward as the ties grip to the branch slipped.

Now that he had slowed and gained some control of his momentum, he threw his lasso forward again and began to slowly descend through the trees and travel through the Emerald Forest. Not too long after, he spotted someone who had apparently applied a similar idea. She was sitting on a branch and didnt seem to be in too big of a hurry. The relatively large scar on the tree next to her showed at least the final part of her landing strategy.

"Excuse me!" Koamaru called out, trying to warn her of his presence. The last thing he wanted to do now was startle her and accidentally knock her off the branch.

With a few quick swings, he slowed as much as he could before impacting the trunk of the tree with both feet. The impact sent a twinge of his pain through his ankles as the last of his moment suddenly came to a stop. From there, gravity took over and he dropped to same branch the other girl was on.

With Gaucho tucked under his arm, Koamaru turned to the girl carefully. Gaucho let out a few yips of excitement and panted happily. "Hi there. I'm Koamaru and this is my partner Gaucho."

Zion Waters

Zion did not think that Ozpin's methods were intelligent at all. When he got launched off the pad, he simply had Kija fly him over the forest until they spotted the relics. If he were by himself, he could have been there by now but he needed a partner. Kija flew down to ground level, where he could summon the rest of his loyal followers. In an instance, they all appeared with one knee bent towards Zion and with their heads lowered. Kija joined them and Zion nodded with satisfaction.

"Yona, find the man named Grau. Kija fly up and lead me towards the relics. The rest of you, fan out and make sure no one else gets close to me... that includes Grimm. Go." At that, they all dashed away with excitement to complete their orders with the exception of Rose. Ever since he had gotten a hold of her, Zion has been trying to figure her out. She looked and spoke like his mother, but her behavior was different. He looked at her oddly, wondering why she was not following the orders he had just listed out and she looked straight up towards the sky and tilted her head. Before Zion could speak to her, she dissolved into thin air. He tried to see if she had teleported herself somewhere else, but her eyes were unavailable to him, meaning she returned within him. When he tried to summon her out again, he felt a block that was preventing him to do so. Rose? He got no response. Zion would have to deal with it later. He tapped into Yona's eyes and felt that he was getting ever closer to Grau.

"Perfect" Zion said to no one in particular. He switched his weapon to Mode 2 and shot towards a tall tree in the distance as he zoomed towards it.

Cobra

Cobra was half asleep as Ozpin was talking. He didn't sleep at all last night, too busy raiding the Staff's belongings. He was only wide awake when he was close to the ground and latched himself to a tree with his claws which barely softened his landing.

Cobra was quite confident that he would be able to find his cousin and catch him by surprise, but instead he as met with a woman with horns who was having a bull fight with a Grimm. CuteHe raised his hand slowly and three rapid fire shots of his custom fire-smoke dust escaped from his right palm and exploded right into the Grimm creature. He cackled, quite pleased with himself and looked at the girl with a light sense of curiosity. He had never seen a faunus with horns, but his right kept making a repetitive beeping sound. Suddenly, his "X-RAY" mode initiated and he saw that the girl had crystals under her clothes. What the hell is up with this chick? Before she got suspicious, he stopped staring at himself and put out a fake chuckle to hid his interest in her.

@hudhouse

That was the ticket she needed. She ducked in between the claws of the beast and head butted into its softer belly, goring the Death Stalker. She slammed her legs far and embedded her fists into the beast's underbelly. It kept on screaming and squealing from pain before she did the unthinkable for a Death Stalker. She picked the bloody thing up. With an opening, the stalker swung with both of it's claws. A spray of blood came from one, but explosions interrupted the other. The beasty turned to see Cobra snapping its pincers at him. That was until it remembered what had just picked it up. It was chucked a few feet into a rock, smashing its white armored hide. Seraphina used her horns like the lances of lobotomy and rammed the horns back into the existing wounds. She thrashed her head and by extension her horns around, forcing its blood to be drawn. The black essence of its death began to trickle out as Seraphina gasping for air.

Save for her pants, most of her torso was ravaged by the Stalker. Her left shoulder crystal was scrapped to the bone, leaving a wound that should have bled. The flesh of her shoulder was still covered in a thin crystal layer of blood. Her chest was in the same situation, though it was impossible to see anything through the crystal. It looked like a monster had dragged a sword from her shoulder through her. Her other shoulder crystal was broken at the tip, but most of it was fine. Her hands were exposed, covered in plates of crystal to allow her to still move her fingers. Her hair was in the same state as her dress, ripped up and tattered. The few other wounds on her had quickly crystallized over in a bright cherry red, almost as if her blood itself was crystal.

Near high off of her adrenaline, the topless woman walked over to her savior. The wound in her neck, while she was lifting up the Death-Stalker, was bleeding insanely lightly. The very flesh itself seemed to be swelling up to fill the crack, no matter how small it might be. All of the tips of her horns were smoking blake like the legends of yore. She looked as if she was the headless horseman's daughter fresh from the bar with a serving of crystal stuffs. Her instincts was the main driving force for her, so she spoke that same instinct, "Was my performance satisfactory?"

“Ah, thank you for your situational awareness. Now that our guests are here, I would like to give them a formal welcome.” Ryuuko ran towards the injured Grimm, jumping on its head. With its head-plate broken, it would be dealt with quickly. She plunged both of the blades of her weapons in its head and she flipped back to the ground. The Grimm on her left lunged forward before receiving a swift bullet in its head-plate. It flew back with a trail of white shards following it. Her next shot would be for the slowly approaching beowolf on the right. This one was paying attention. It must have been an older Grimm, for it was observing their behavior.

            “…oh, its defense is down, so it would be strategic to strike now, if you would,” Ryuuko said, realizing that they had to work together.

The Beowolves charged at Cup all at once. Cup fired the gun with the red magazine. A round glowing bright red was embedded into a Beowolf. It stopped for a moment, and bursted into flames as the fire dust detonated. The flames spread to some others, causing a bit of panic. The Beowolves backed away.

"Oh yeah, nobody wants to be lunch."

Cup said. He calmly unloaded the two remaining dust rounds on other Grimms, taking out total of three with the magazine. He charged at a Beowolf, which tried to strike with its friends. Cup stepped on its head to propel up into the air, and stabbed one of them in the head.

"What if I.."

He said as he pulled the trigger. A high caliber round pierced the Beowolf's head, ripping it in the process. Cup slashed at the other Beowolfs, managing to slice one in half when others were able to minimize their damage. Cup ejected the red magazine and loaded the gravity dust magazine again. He switched the blade with dust round armed into gun form, which was on his left hand side. He slashed through the Beowolves, and at some point, fired the dust round at the ground to fly upwards.

"Too high, too high!"

He yelled as he tried to balance himself. He fell on something....

Alive. And it growled. Oh boy, an Ursa. It tried to smash Cup, who jumped down only to crash into a tree, taking the blow in the back. He grunted and stood up, finding the Ursa glaring at him behind him.

"Uh, hi."

The Ursa smashed him into another tree. Cup stumbled, and switched his right hand side blad into gun form and aimed. The Ursa blindly charged, which was a bad idea. The first round cracked its head armor, and the second pierced its head. The Ursa collapsed, and Cup walked away stumbling every few steps.

"Stupid trees."

He muttered.

"Agreed, can't hog all the fun now Ryuu," Joshua began. "Watch this," Joshua pulled back the arm that held the shield before throwing it forward in a violent motion causing the shield to detach itself from his arm and careen violently towards the beowolf. It was as she said, this beowolf was older than the others, but it would pale in comparison to what was going to happen next. The shield crashed into the Grimm dazing it for a few moments, but it was all the moments that Joshua needed. He jumped towards the creature with the hammer in both of his hands aimed downwards at it. "Welcome to Beacon!" Joshua cried as the hammer caused a sickening crunch as it smashed through bone and flesh leaving quite a gory mess. The shield soon returned to his arm before he turned back to Ryuu and deactivated his semblance before placing Rolling Thunder on his back. "Well I guess you could say I nailed that one" Joshua joked as a grin appeared on his face,

Agnes looked to her side, the appearance of the dog was quite a surprise. As it barked, the end of her tail began wagging a tiny bit, though it's mechanical nature made it look more like twitching. "You brought your dog along?" She pointed at him tucked under Koamaru's arm. Due to her being a dog faunus, she was a little excited to see another canine. The more Gaucho panted, the more she did. However the sound was masked up by her breather, making it sound more like hissing machinery. She leaned forward, completely entranced by Gaucho's minor movements. Woooaaaaaw, so cute.

Ryuuko bowed at what was left of the Grimm, watching as they faded into nothingness. “My, what a short stay…” A small laugh left her lips when she heard Joshua’s pun. Sure that there were no threats nearby, Ryuuko opened her mouth to make a few puns of her own. “Indeed. I gave these Grimm my best shot. It was knife to meet them, though things took a sharp turn for the worse, did it not?” Her laughter couldn’t be suppressed any longer and she went into a giggle fit, though she was trying her best not to laugh. “O-oh my, that was a good one…ah…” She wiped a tear, slowly regaining her composure. She blushed slightly from embarrassment. “I suppose I am bit too fond of puns. That must have been such an ungraceful sight to see. My apologies.”

Joshua watched as Ryuu went into a small giggling fit after uttering her own puns of what she had accomplished. However, she began to blush slightly after realizing such embarrassment. Joshua walked over and placed his hand on her shoulder, "It's not ungraceful, it just shows that we're human after all. Lighten up a bit Ryuu, we're both from prominent families, but we don't always have to be so uptight now do we?" He removed his hand from her shoulder and began to walk out of the clearing, "You coming partner?"

@Danchou Tsubomi

"He's more than a dog. He's my partner, same as you are now."  Koamaru slid his pistol back into its holster under his arm and looked over his tie. It had held his weight, but looked much worse for wear now. Certainly he couldn't use it professionally any more. God forbid he offend the queen by wearing a ragged tie as well. With a sigh, he tossed his tie down to the forest floor.

Gaucho tilted his head to the right with his ears perked straight up as Agnes leaned forward to look him over. He locked eyes with her for a moment and continued panting away. After a few moments, he started kicking his legs and letting out playful growls as if asking to jump into Agnes's arms.

Koamaru kept hold of Gaucho, even through his playful struggling. "Careful. We're still pretty high and you don't have wings." He covered his partners head with his palm and combed his ears back only for then to spring up once more. "Anyway, I think we should get down to the ground before Gaucho takes me down the express route."

@Enkye

            “We’re both from prominent families.”

            Ryuuko blinked twice, slowly turning into a beet red. So, this whole time, he was aware of her family name? More importantly, she had forgotten about his? She must have not noticed it, too excited to make friends to pay attention. The Ebonmires were known for its medical technologies, which they created and distributed all throughout Vacuo. How could she have forgotten this? That sort of thing was important, of course. What a careless mistake… now Ryuuko felt like she was being disrespectful. If her mother and father were aware of this, they’d surely scold her and—

            “R-right, sorry,” she said, snapping out of her thoughts and following behind.

Seeing Agnes get launched up into the sky, she prepared her own methods of landing. Hmm, it'd be best to...? She ran multiple scenarios in her mind. Evaluating all of them, she determined the one in which she recieves the best probability of finding the relics. Okay, I think I have it.

As soon as she was thrown into the air, she rotated her body, so that she was upside down to the ground. Using the jets on her legs, she shot herself downward right along the cliff face. Accelerating with gravity down, she began running, using the hydraulic force dampeners to be as smooth as possible. Once she was close enough, Mocha jumped from the cliff, putting her trajectory at a 45 degree angle from the cliff and ground. She ignited her jets once again, propelling her at the forest floor, where she transferred her momentum from being angled from the ground, to being parallel, allowing for an impressive amount of speed.

She sprinted through the forest, looking for the relics.

@Anyone on PLHM

"Ah, of course." She brushed the back of her head awkwardly. "I'll meet you at the bottom then." Agnes walked to the base of the branch and gently hopped off it and fell, descending rapidly next to it's trunk. Her lengthy tail flowed right behind her, as if it were a rope. A few feet from the ground, she grasped the side of the tree, creating 5 long and shallow scars along it as she slowed her descent. Agnes hopped off the tree and rolled down onto the ground. She then waved at Koamaru, waiting for him to get down as well.

The two wolves of Alani's showed fierce prowess as they seemed to work together with their leader distracting, controlling, and striking with one another in tandem. The faunus remarked as she ripped into a beowulf, the beast dissipating swiftly after the deadly strike. "Lupa, Fenris, keep em contained we dont need these guys getting more of their friends.

"Well they are beowolves after all, so they're relatively weak even in packs!" He said back. He pulled a knob up on his weapon with a click!  and the pickups began to glow bright. "Let's see how they like poly-rhythms." He said with a devious smirk as alani gave a command to her wolves. He turned to a group of three beowolves and unleashed an intense and continuous shock wave towards them with one of his favorite djent-y riffs. The shockwave combined with the lightning dust crystals caused the three grimm to waste away in the wave. This process continued with other beowolves until the two of them and the wolves had cleared them all out.

He pushed the knob back in and the pickups returned to normal. He flipped it to the back and began to load more crystals into it. He smiled at Alani's comment. "Why thank you." He said, taking a satirical stage bow after he finished loading the crystals. He took a couple moments to calm down as well before slinging his weapon over his shoulder and walking over to Alani and her wolves. "So it seems." He replied whenever she mentioned them being partners, and smiled when she asked about them 'cooking up our own brand of kickass badassery'. "Hell to the yeah, man!" he remarked. "Plus, It'll let me try out some more interesting dust combinations."

Koamaru had a bit more difficulty coming down than Agnes did. Having to use one hand and rely a firm grip limited his options to just jumping to the closest branch, gaining his balance again, and repeating. Gaucho seemed to be having fun just being along for the ride.

It took a while, but the two eventually reached the forest floor. Koamaru bent his knees to finally put Gaucho on his own 4 paws. "We need to cut back on your treats, bud." Koamaru waved his finger at Gaucho, to which Gaucho responded a by shaking his head as if he were wet.

"I don't think I caught your name earlier." He turned to the girl that had been waiting on him. She was different from what he was used to. Prosthetics were nothing new to him, but she seemes have been extensively worked on. The way everything fit together suggested that she didn't need them because of an accident. It seemed like they were specifically designed for combat. High end prosthetics like that had to cost a small fortune.

@Enkye

"Agnes Grace. Proud trainee soldier of the Atlesian Military." She stood at attention exemplifying her words. She saluted lightly, and became lax in her motion again. Hmmm? What? She observed where Koamaru was looking. Holding her hands out infront of her, she looked up, realizing he was staring at her cybernetics. "Oh. If you're wondering about what happened, I'm a recipient of Atlesian technology. General Ironwood had an incredible interest in this, and drafted me and a couple others for implantation." She spoke in a wonderous way, as even she had shallow knowledge on why the general was so invested in this project. But quickly getting off of her tangent, she immediately added on, " Anyways, you don't need to introduce yourself, I remember hearing it yesterday. Koamaru, no?" She smiled, though her facemask didn't show it and her eye was very limited in expression, "his name is Gaucho? Very cute dog. Such an adorable breed." Her voice was noticeably gitty. She reached out to scratch his ears. Unlike a limb of flesh and bone her arm moved smoothly, with no sign of wavering or tension.

This was the second time Lyrika had been surprised to find that no one minded her poetic quirks. Was Beacon haven to every tolerant soul under heaven? Or had Lyrika just had the fortune to meet the two people that weren't prone to making fun of others in the whole school? It was a relief either way. Funnily enough, it seemed her weapon was what puzzled Pewter more than anything. "This? It's formally known as a "Ranseur Spear". The only reason I know that is because I had to go through ten different types before father agreed to let me use this. I don't know if you've ever heard of the Kastano family, but we're really....pretentious. Especially father." She could just imagine that if he were here, he would be telling her not to associate with the more barbarous huntsmen like Pewter. "Frankly, I would have much preferred to get a fancy gizmo like the ones you've got, but I was lucky enough he agreed to let me be a huntress. Where did you get those things, anyway? With her spear retrieved from the vanquished Grimm, Lyrika started to carry on in the direction Pewter pointed out earlier. It wouldn't do for them to just stand around, so they would hopefully walk and talk.

@A Cat Named Hobbes

"Ka-sta-no" Pewter let the name roll off his tongue as he tried to recall if he had ever heard of them before, but he just drew a blank "Never heard of them before. What do you guys do that gets you your 'prestige'?" He was slightly curious now but if she didn't want to talk He wouldn't pry into it. "Oh. And my weapons Claw and Fang I made them myself, pretty sure most huntsmen do. We tend to make them to compliment our fighting styles and semblance." to emphasize his point he swung his sword turning it into a bladed whip in order to cut down a rather small tree a few yards away as electricity crackles over its surface.

Neil grinned at her joke, not even saying anything when she smacked his rear. Whelp, she was weird, but she was the fun weird! And she was better than having one of those boring and bossy partners! Beacon was suddenly looking a lot better. "Well, It'd be a lie to say no!" Neil retorted. He nodded at her response. "Yeah. Guess Ozpin wanted us to find some the hard way. Heh, the ol' headmaster can sure be unBEARable, eh?" Neil laughed, fist pumping at his own pun gesturing to the decaying Grimm corpse. Bear puns aside, Ozpin DID say eye contact was kind of the binding agreement, and Ozpin was the headmaster...even if he was kinda creepy. As the girl walked around, him still slung over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes, Neil looked around. So, this was his first adventure in Beacon! Grimm, awesome fire fox ladies, Weird friends, the whole she-bang! Man, he was so pumped for this! He wondered where they were going to-wait wha?

Neil shrugged at her question. "Beats me. Maybe it's at some kind of weird temple thing. It sounds like something that's up Ozpin's alley." Neil responded, yet blinked when he was put down. Wait, she wanted HIM to find the relics? Huh. No ones EVER asked him to lead before...he shook his head and smiled wide. This was his chance to prove his meddle! "Don't worry! I won't let ya down!" He said with a mock-salute. Turning, he hummed and cupped his chin. If he were a bunch of creepy ol' relics, where would he be? Scratching his chin, he shrugged. Screw it. "I guess we can just walk in some random direction or somethin'. Chances are we'll run into some people who actually know the way...heck, we might even find some more Grimm to fight!  After all, we got the heat that can't be beat!" Neil joked again, Winking at Igna before turning north and walking. "Sooo...since we're partners now, guess we should get the names out of the way. Name's Neil! I like Pink, Pink, Aaaand...Pink! How about you?"'

Admittedly Alani's own ears were ringing faintly from the intense shock waves produced by Grey's guitar, she couldn't imagine what intensity the sound must be when directly in front of it. At her new partner's rather boisterous answer to her question, Alani laughed a bit as she took a glance around at their surroundings. "Well then I think we'd best head off to the ruins and get this finished with; don't want to be the last ones to finish the objecting now do we?" The faunus asked as she looked in the rough direction she recalled the ruins and began to head off toward them. Alani's curiosity about Grey's weapon only grew as they made their way toward the ruins. "Hey Grey, I've gotta ask what was the inspiration in your weapon?" She inquired, looking at the complex instrument that rested upon the youth's shoulder. "Heck compared to my own weapons yours seems like a complex work of engineering." She quipped, looking down at her gauntlets and gently clenching her armored hands, the metallic sound of her gauntlets' blades extending from their sheathes before retracting a moment later. The two wolves stayed relatively close to the two students with Lupa slightly ahead of them and to the left and Fenris slightly behind and to the right of them, silently ensuring Alani or Grey weren't ambushed.
