I don’t mind them being retconned out we haven’t had much interaction unless you could find a good way to kill them off for the plot without having to drag the character out. I feel like when people try to take over someone’s OC it usually isn’t very natural

I mean at midnight they are being warped to the front lines of a war, war usually kills people
When I say control I literally mean have move them to the final resting place
