He smiled. He didn't grin, but he actually smiled. Because it felt like everything was okay now. Even though he knew better, he knew there'd be complications with them being together. Not for him, but for her, for she didn't want the attention and oh man would she get heaps of attention by being with him. "I hope you're happy," He said softly and sincerely, and leaned in, so close their faces almost touching-their lips almost touching. He waited silently for approval. He really didn't want to screw up this moment by kissing her too early or without her permission. He definitely didn't want to make her mad, because this good welcoming feeling with her, made him feel invincible.

Wiping her tears Celena coughed awkwardly. She hadn't cried so much since her parents had passed away. Hearing that he was hoping that she was happy Celena looked down not sure how to re act she then felt him move in closer and she lifted her face up to face him and then felt something on her lips. Her eyes widened and moved back slightly and felt her face flush tremendously. Looking away Celena tried to cool down her face.

Eli blushed, feeling like he had made the mistake of kissing her. "I'm sorry," He mumbled quietly. Suddenly, he just wanted to be gone, run away, forget all of these complications. He hadn't ever felt this way about a girl, and it scared him. He'd had girlfriends before, but with Celena, she made him numb and unsure of what to do or even how to handle a girl. She was just so different... Before he knew it, he was on his feet looking down at her, not sure what to do. After all, he kind of knew what she wanted and hoped that it was his benefit, but he still wasn't sure.

Celena placed her hands on her cheeks trying to cool them down from their sudden rush of heat. Wait a second.... Why am I blushing? Hearing Eli rise up on to his feet, Celena turned to face him shyly and looked up at him. He was always taller than her but she felt especially short now. Adding the fact that she looked like she was not suppose to be in high school didn't help in her case. Getting up herself, Celena dusted the leaves off her dress and faced Eli. I am going to face this head on. My fault for getting myself in to it. Time to get myself ready for it.

He looked at her as she got to her feet. Eli wanted, more like needed, her to say something. After it was silent for a moment, he asked again, this time more urgent and demanding. "Well, what do you want?!"

Looking at him Celena blushed furiously and looked down, "I want you Eli..."

He couldn't help but smile. She really did want him! But his smile faded after he felt there was a 'but...'. He gulped, "So.. what's the issue?" He was scared of the answer.

Celena looked up at him and sighed, "I don't know if I could handle all of the attention from all of the people around here..."

Eli's heart sank. He had a feeling she would say that, but he hoped otherwise. He wasn't sure what he should say; a million things came to mind but he couldn't pick the right one. Finally he spoke, "Well, what happens between us it up to you. If you'd rather not have to attention from everybody and not me, well then I guess that's that. But if you'd rather put up with the attention, then great." He tried to sound as sincere as possible.

Celena looked at him as she heard the strain in his voice. Sighing she ruffled her hair and thought hard. She had been pestered for the past 4 days and that was when everyone already thought that they were dating but they weren't. It would be worse than last time but she figured that it should be alright.


"I will put up with it... I seem to have grown attached to you..."


Given a rare smile and quiet chuckle she looked at Eli.

He definitely wasn't expecting her answer. Eli didn't think she liked him enough to let him change her social life. He smiled, not exactly sure what to do next, but he didn't really care. He was so happy he didn't care, he just wanted to do what his body wanted him to do. He walked over to her and wrapped his muscly arms tightly around her waist. "I'm so glad," He whispered in her ear.

Celena gasped slightly as she felt his arms wrap around her waist and she looked at him from the corner of her eyes and looked away. He doesn't have to be that happy...

He waited for her to hug him back, but she didn't really, so he slowly let his arms slide back to his sides. He still felt like something was... off. But he didn't want to let that get to him yet. "So, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked, not wanting to waste any time and figuring that it would suit the occasion.

Celena looked at him and gave a hesitant nod, "Umm... Yeah, I will be your girlfriend..."

He knew she was still hesitant. He was not a clingy person, but with her, he just wanted their skin touching. Eli's hand reached for hers, "Are you sure..." He voice trailed off, but he found it again, "I mean, I don't want to push you into this or anything..." You could hear the sadness in his voice.

Celena looked at his hand and slowly tightened her grip. She didn't want to say anything, she knew that she wasn't going to be able to be the best girlfriend but she wanted to let him know that she was sure. She may still be a little hesitant but she didn't want to make him sad.

After she didn't say anything, he wasn't sure if he should take that as a good thing or bad, but he didn't want to waste any time, still. He smiled a true smile and started walking, "Let go back to class."

Celena looked at the building and tightened her grip on his hand, "Okay..."


Following Eli she watched as the students looked at them with their jaws on the floor. Don't look... Don't look...

Eli knew people were going to stare in awe seeing him and Celena together. But he didn't care, unlike her. He wanted so much to kiss her in front of everyone, but he knew she wouldn't really appreciate that, not yet at least. So instead, the smile didn't leave his face and he held her hand tightly as they made their way through the school.

Celena looked at all of the people around them and tok a peak at Eli's smiling face. I can do this.. Trust Eli... Celena took a deep breath and walked a little faster keeping up to Eli's pace and standing side by side to him, avoiding the gazes of others. They don't matter... Just Eli...

Eli knew Celena felt uncomfortable, so he tried to make her feel as comfortable as possible. He wasn't going to take it too far or push or anything, so he took the "back route"; the halls that are more unpopular. Turns out, school was over, so he took her to the back outside. "Whew, that's over," He said, trying to make her feel comfortable. "What do you wanna do?" He asked, wondering if she just wanted to go home, go to his home, or go hang out; he just didn't want to say any of those things because he didn't know exactly how she felt.

Celena sighed with relief as he took the unpopular route and then took her back outside. Asking her where she wanted to go, Celena immediately thought that she wanted to go home but then thought it might be good to spend a little time with Eli

Eli looked at her, still unsure what she wanted to do. He was the kinda guy where you have to be straightforward or mostly straightforward because he doesn't think enough to figure anything out. "So..." He said, trying not to sound like a complete idiot.

Celena chuckled silently and gave a rare small smile, "So... I want to go somewhere where only the two of us know about. We are going to go exploring."


Tugging on his hand Celena shyly started lead the way hoping that he would know of somewhere and take the lead again.

He let her drag him, but before long he stopped and asked, "So where are we going? The only places I can think of that we both know is that lake, the tree at school, or your house."
