Well, T'kar feels he'd better unload everything from the fallen Horizon and get it into cover or someone else (enemies?) will. At this point, that's his top (non-combat) priority - secure the UEEF materials.

After that's done, T'kar is very open to visiting the Bunker and getting to know the ASC team, then going to take on Santos & Co.. That's just one player's opinion though. =)

I can't be the only one with an opinion about this? =)

Sherwood, I am, or rather was, looking for Player feedback with the hopes of starting an important discussion.

Instead, I'm left wondering if this game is even alive. Other games and other matters have taken up people's time, and I see that it's important for you guys to have fun in those places too. Who am I to tell you where to game, right?

But when I'm the only one posting in OOC - and it's nearly February - well, please try to put yourself in my position. I have seen games die this way - just go silent as people move on.

Can you honestly blame me for wondering if it's happening again?

I guess for my part, I've seen nothing worth objecting to. Our plan of action makes sense. Stocking up on supplies before these knuckleheads do, makes sense. I'm usually content to go with the flow of play and at the end of the day, we're still working in a military structure. What the leader says goes and opinions are often unwelcome when not explicitly requested with excruciating sincerity.

Okay, I just don't know where I'm going wrong explaining here.

1. Conway's plan is to go to their bunker "tonight" (whenever that is; I don't recall a time of day being given?).

2. T'kar's plan (that top priority I wrote about?) is to go get his mech and evac everything he can out of the Horizon right now to the safe spot Psychie mentioned lest we come back tomorrow morning and find some or all of it gone (his mech included - don't you think that would put kind of a damper on things? Your latest teammate has no mech?).

And if this still makes no sense to anyone, I'll just drop it and whatever happens happens. I think I'm just glad to see someone replying to this game again...

Then give me an IC post to work with. Deunan doesn't know what your priorities are until you share them with her.

That's why I wanted to talk about it in OOC first among the Players...

These are things that belonged to T'kar's fellow Marines - his dead teammates. If it were you, would you leave their safe recovery to chance?

Not at all. But until he mentions it to me, I won't know about that as a priority to T'kar.

You or Deunan? I'm trying to ask the Players on this. By chatting it out in OOC, I feel it gives all of us a clear idea of what to post in-game. You know that moment during tabletop where the Players hit the Pause button and ask around the table about what everyone wants to do, they come to a decision, then they get back in-character? That's what I am/was going for, but I'm losing steam here.

Understand, please. I don't even know where T'kar wound up since Psychie hasn't posted. Your post as Deunan addressing T'kar as if he is right there without the Game Master saying so is... odd to me given Psychie hasn't answered me. Did T'kar make it outside with the civilians? Are they hiding in the barn? In the forest? Did he even make it out of the door? For me, only Psychie can answer those questions.

Same goes for what time of day it is. If "tonight" we go out to the bunker (which is fine after T'kar has seen the Horizon bunkers emptied) and Psychie says it's breakfast-time, well, might that change things? I've been wondering about all this ever since our posting came to a near-halt. Psychie hasn't posted since almost two weeks ago and... I can't remember the last time D. Rex posted as Marlon.

I am confused because these are the facts I'm left with.

Psychie Psychie Hey there! Could you clear up some details for us please? I'm kind of lost here and I'd like to see the light in this game again.

Thanks in advance and I appreciate your replying. =)

Ok, here are a few things that I am going to do to try and clarify the IC posts. If you have any questions about stuff that I don't bring up here, let me know and I'll do my best to address them!

Current time: 21:30 (that is 9:30 PM for those that don't know the 24 hour clock)

T'kar was hiding behind the barn, since the last thing I recall seeing about your placement is that you wanted to make absolutely sure that you were not spotted by the bandits, so you haven't even poked your head out to take a peek. Given the sheer bulk of your armored suit, it would make spotting you much easier. With the aid of your drone, however, you were able to get a look down on the men and the trucks, safely giving you a birds eye view, since it is very unlikely that the bandits would bother to look up and be able to see the drone.

Now that the men have driven away and it is clear for everyone to come out, where exactly is everyone, given that everyone knows that it is clear and some time has gone by. I would think that gathering up in front of the house or barn would make for the most likely spot to congregate, but it is up to you guys.

Mateo is quite willing to offer up the comfort of his home, or at least the barn, for you to be able to get some rest. Or, you can work through the night moving mecha out of the wrecked storage containers to either the cave or the bunker, or somewhere else entirely. I just need to know the plan.

just need to know the plan.

That makes two of us!

T'kar has plenty of motivation and he just landed not long ago. He and I would like for him to go get his Bioroid Interceptor and move things throughout the night to the safe spot you mentioned.

If memory serves, you mentioned that the safe spot does not have enough room for everything. T'kar would like to have his drone use its Mega-damage gun to make more room in the caves, specifically in areas T'kar deems to be safe, if not convenient.

If Conway's team is willing, T'kar would ask them to help using the other Destroids with the drone watching over them while they rest. However, he does not begrudge them if they want to return to the safety of their own bunker. He does not mind meeting up with them later.

Here are a few things about T'kar I'd like to share:

Honor demands of T'kar that he carry this out, so I think this is one of the few things he's not willing to budge on. He and I realize this may make a bad first impression on Conway and her team (or it may not!) as T'kar Is being governed by honorable Karbarran methods most humans don't follow. He is also very eager to do right by his fallen fellow Marines.

There may be some wonder about why this Character is not quick to instantly ally with the other Player Characters, as some campaigns are used to. I can't play him like Gabi; T'kar is a different guy in a very different situation and Conway and her team, Mateo, his family are total strangers to him. Plus, the GM and PCs with the exception of myself don't know him at all.

As a Player, I want to to tell you that I think their relationship will work out just fine if you let him be himself. If you don't trust T'kar, then trust me. T'kar is odd and quirky, friendly and generous. He is quite loyal once that loyalty is earned, and he's extremely good at what he does - which he enjoys sharing.

Like almost every new guy, he just needs time and the opportunity to be himself.

Psychie Psychie If you don't mind the correction, military time never uses colons. "2130 hours" or simply "2130" is how it's put. =)

And if you perhaps do mind the correction, well, ahh... *flees before he gets a beating from Terra and her three kiddos in Sherwood's game!*

Psychie Psychie In front of the barn (where the team's bikes are) sounds reasonable to me. How about everyone else?

Nothing for me to say. I can't really come with anything for Marlon at the moment, I can't seem to out my mind inside him. I will try to have him back and active at the next scene.

Psychie Psychie Could T'kar manufacture custom ammunition for his shotgun?

I have been looking at the Big Bore shotgun. In real life, military-style shotguns typically either use slugs for single targets at long range or the use buckshot for close-range widespread destruction. There are even the infamous "dragon's breath" rounds if you want to shoot fire out of your shotgun. I think those rounds would transform the Big Bore into something like a flamethrower. Exciting, huh?

Would you be okay with allowing these things in your game?

Psychie Psychie What do you want the rounds to do? Or do you want me to create examples and see what you think of them?
