Here's my question for the group. I know that Deunan is the squad leader, but I don't want to order anyone into something that they won't enjoy as a player. I am looking for ideas from everyone. What is the best course to do? If it were up to me 100%, I'd have the rest of the squad make some noise and see how much damage we can do to the drones while Alex and Marlon do the sneaky thing to get the virus input into the computer.

What does the rest of you think of that?

I'm fine with the distraction if that's what everyone wants to do. As Psychie said though, there's no telling what the magnitude of retaliation might look like.

"Yo, LT? How about we try the sneaking in, and if they're spotted, we in the air wing swoop in and distract whomever has spotted them? They may be small on the ground, if they're spotted, they're as good as dead, you know?

"I can send in Dragonfly too to scout a good path if you want?"

I'm for it (because I recommended it earlier and why change now?). May I recommend Gabi pause in her drone-flying and take an action to use the Ajax Tac Corp model's ground radar? That might pick up bad guys we can't see.

As you start your fly-by, the drones from the first group leap out from their hiding places and begin to fire up at you...

Hold up, friends. I aporeciate the radar data but... what fly-by? Please re-read what I wrote.

In true Recon Patrol fashion, Gabi kept her Ajax in Battloid with all eyes and ears open. No way was she going to blow the squad's cover by letting the enemy hear the approach of her thrusters or helicopter blades. She was intent on being quick and quiet. She activated her ground radar and tried it to transmit its data to everyone still inside a mech.

In case this is not clear, Gabi's Ajax is in Battloid mode and she is on the ground walking quickly and trying to move quietly so as not to be detected at all.

She is not up in the air, engines roaring, making a giant target out of herself and alerting everything in the area to the squad's presence.

I'll stand by my last post. Alan would be bunkered down undercover and wouldn't have line of sight on the rest of the Third Heavy at this time I think. He'd be going by what was said in Deunan's plan. That is assuming that was transmitted to Alan and Marlon as well. If not, I may as well just delete the post.

Rykon, the only problem with your post is very minor - "fly-by" versus "drive-by." I think this implies Gabi flew past instead of trod past. I tagged you so you knew for certain that Gabi was not in the air. That's all! =)

That was part of my problem as well. Alan has pick locks, but no hacking to crack open an electronic lock.

Perhaps if there is a sufficient signal strength we could ask Deunan to attempt it remotely through a connection Alan or Marlon could establish. Otherwise we open it the ol fashion way... Demolitions.
