does that mean that I'm the strongest character health wise?
If I'm not completely mistaken, then yes - turns out mechanical parts are more resilient than flesh :)
Looking at the character sheets, our slayer is up there as well, though - think the rest of us prays that they never get past our armor...

what would you guys say is the closest thing to a bard in this game?
First thought would be the rogue scholar - without looking into the books, that is. Pretty sure that there's something closer to it, though.

You're right about that, Silanon. Looks like I forgot to add 1D6 M.D.C. to Gradicus for going to level 2 (as a True Atlantean). I hope I can trust the Dice Roller with that. Here goes. =)

Sherwood Sherwood When you feel like it, could you take a look at Gradicus's Tattoo Magic tab? I think it looks right, but I've never played an Undead Slayer before and I want to make certain the math and details are correct.

EDIT: HAH! That'll teach me not to ask Sherwood to roll it! That's what I get! *shakes his head* =)
Don't your MDC and PPE scores just go up a fixed amount per level and the addition of new tattoos?

(After a quick check in the Atlantis book) Your MDC goes up 10 points per level and another 11 MDC per magic tattoo, and your PPE goes up 10 per level and another six per tattoo. I see nothing to indicate a need to roll for your numbers.

I'll check your list in a minute to look over your numbers.

I have never liked the disparity between MDC and SDC in the system. Even if you have two hundred SDC, a single MDC point has just blasted away half your body! Not something that can be easily survived without serious magic healing or Borg replacement parts.

I'm sure that in one of the books that there is a bard style OCC, but with so many books out there, I couldn't tell you where to look.

In a side note, I heard from a friend that Marvel Comics giant Stan Lee passed away this morning. She said it had to do with him having pneumonia.

Check Secrets of the Atlanteans, page 47, under "M.D.C." It seems to state that while Undead Slayers get the M.D.C. rate you quote, True Atlanteans seem to add 1D6 M.D. per level along with that.

I did not know that. I stand corrected. Or, more accurately, I laze in bed corrected.

Hah! =) Well, I'm learning a lot this time around too. You were right about Undead Slayers; they're not to be underestimated! At first, I thought I'd be something of a liability, but this race and class along with my Rifts experiences are equaling up a whole lotta fun! =)

If my memory serves (and I'm very certain of this), you are the one that taught me all about S.D.C. and M.D.C. when we first started playing Robotech together. While I can see your point, I have to side with Siembieda, especially after decades of reading first-hand war accounts (Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan mostly). You get shot with a bullet, it can ruin your life or just make you thankful to be alive because that same bullet just grazed you. You just get caught in the radius of something that can take a piece out of a M1A2 Abrams and you're lucky to be alive at all. =)

HEY EVERYBODY! =)

Palladium is bringing out the fun again! They've got their 2018 Christmas Surprise Package going on (here's the link)! I've ordered this in years past and been blown away every time! I just love what they throw in there. It works basically like this: You fill out their form and provide at least ten items you do not own (include details and your favorite games, if you want a T-shirt, autographs, etc.) and they'll do their best to surprise and delight! You send them $46.00 (plus shipping and handling; DO NOT select Media Mail!) and Santa Kevin and team sends you at least $90-$100 bucks of seriously cool stuff!

I've sent detailed lists to them in the past and gotten goodies I never knew existed (example: You know the kick-butt cover to Rifts Japan? Part of my package one year was a full color print of that boy! Oh, man!). I'm doing it again this year and I cannot recommend it enough!

Just sharing the good stuff! =)

Honor and fun,
Dann =)

EDIT: And with that, my order is in! =)

yes it was a sad day yesterday, i wonder what they will do without him. after all he is in almost every marvel movie.

The town is right on the edge of the canal, and up ahead there is a small dock for ships to be able to tie up at. This part of the waterway is kept clear of obstructions to keep the river and lake travel open.

ok, i dont remember ever reading that the ship hd entered the canal, so how far away are we from it? sorry it is totally possible that i missed something.

If you have ANY MDC, you are able to ignore SDC attacks of hundreds of points and hardly notice it.

Basically, MDC is immune to SDC damage. An organic person inside a suit of armor can take impact damage through the MDC armor: you jump off of a building, you'll still mess yourself up on impact, even if your armor is still in one piece.

Only some Atlantian are MDC beings. Terra is a SDC person. But yes, if you were to shoot Gradicus in the face, he'd be fine.

You will get bonuses as you level up from your hand to hand combat skill. Also, with your WP Heavy Weapons skill, that gives you some bonuses every few levels.

The process of "levelling up" accounts for all the training your character does and all the experience he gets by being out in the hostile world.
