Rebirth: The Highland Academy of Magical Studies

Lucian smiled "sure, its a deal" he said when Jace offered to watch his back in exchange for the same, as they turned a corner and came to the gym, Lucian whistled "woah, its like a whole sports center all rolled into one huge gym!" and then came Jace's question, but with his explaination that he came from the forest, Lucian nodded his head and let out an "aaah, right" he thought for a moment before speaking again "well... you know how in the forest you are constantly moving, running, jumping, swinging, all that stuff, right? well in a place like this and in cities, people can't just run about everywhere, or jump around like in the forest, but they still need to exercise or else they'll grow weak and fat, so they build gyms where they can exercise without worrying about running into anyone, getting run over by a car or anything like that... i hope that clears it up" he lead Jace in the front door, pushing it open and letting it close by itself after Jace came in, the inside smelled like a normal sports center, except for a very slight almost pineapple-smelling scent in the air, probably some air fresheners.

"so, what do you want to see first? the actual gym? the pool? basketball courts?"

Jace had nodded "lets go inside, i wanna see what this is all about" jace stated with a smile. Jace was very excited, this was all so new to him "so tell me lucian, whats ur skills"

he asked but realised someone had got behind them he quickly turned in a very defensive manner "can i help you?" he didnt mena to be rude but he was still trying to get used

to being around so many people

Ellessa smiled warmly at Aphrodite's request.

"There is a river, as clear as diamond that runs behind my home in which the biggest fish swim. They practically jump into our nets at dinner time. Beyond it's shores are the mountains in which I train, following my ancestors before me. The snow at the top of the very biggest is so soft and white, they say the mountain pierced the very heavens and it and was veiled in it's purity. On the other side of my home, there is a forest almost like this one, but far more lush and vibrant. Mixed through it's tree's are fields of bamboo, some of which we used to build portions of our house..." Ellessa started, gesturing energetically as she described each place.

"My Honored Grandfather and I would often spar among them when he would return home from the far off realms that he visits. He would promise to share with me stories of the outside world if I could best him, and even though I never could, he would tell me just the same." Ellessa said, chuckling lightly despite her best efforts not to.

"To the north, there are large bluffs beneath which you had the best view of my village. If you went at just the right time, you could stand and watch the sun rise, then jump down quickly and watch it all over again a short while later. The sun would light up the forests leaves, making them appear almost as if they had caught aflame. To the south, there were large fields of thick grass that spread for as far as the eye could see. Hiding inside it, foxes and snakes would often find their way up to me while I washed my practice robes." She continued, her eye's looking off into the distance, almost as if she could see it somehow.

"I could not ask for a greater place to live. I was deeply honored when my family decided that I would be the successor to my late mother, and that I would spend my life protecting this treasure from harm. Now, enough of my ramblings...it is time to train." She said as she slowly sat on the ground in seiza position and closed her eyes.

She reached her hand beside her and placed Vishar along her lap, then made a first with her right hand, and placed it inside her left palm. Her breathing slowed almost immediately as the wind's picked up slightly, clearly emanating from her. The runes along her body once again glowing faintly.

"You shall do the same as me, though the Seiza position may feel quite painful for a time" She said calmly, her eye's still closed.

"No problem..." Glancing over her shoulder, looking for signs of movement, she frowned. It wasn't like they'd come back very quickly, but Constantine was stubborn and rarely backed down from a chance to antagonize her without consequence. As he spoke again, she moved herself forward, listening as she went past him taking lead. "Uh..I'm..Cyr Felner." It was a nervous response, partially fueled by the forming headache in her skull and the lack of want for him to ask more questions.

"That, sounds like, paradise. . . and, alright," Aphrodite said, and sat in the style shown by Ellessa.

The snake was now in the meadow, and it saw the girl, with her red hair, and the true fire within. So, he simply went over to her, and looked at her.

"Awww! Isn't he so cute!" Aphrodite said, and touched the snake. He leaned into her hand, her warmth. It was obvious, this snake, and Aphrodite, are meant to be, "I shall call him, Gaston!"

"Awww! Isn't he so cute!" Ellessa heard Aphrodite exclaim from a seemingly far off place, though she knew she was right in front of her.

"You are supposed to have your eye's closed" Ellessa said while opening hers, the wind's around her cutting to nothing almost immediately.

Ellessa looked out at Aphrodite and the thing she found so cute, a black snake about the size of Vishar itself with a head that seemed to spread out like a hood. It leaned against her hand in a manor that seemed almost affectionate. While she had seen many snakes before in her life, she had never seen one quite like this.

"It may be poisonous Aphrodite, and I did not think to bring anti-venom to this realm with me. We should move away slowly and respect that it was here first. There may be a small dirt hole around here somewhere" Ellessa said gently, non-threateningly.

Aphrodite just sneered at Elle, this snake, she somehow knew it wouldn't harm her. Gaston wrapped his way around her arm, and then rested around her neck, not wrapping around, just sitting there, basking in the natural heat from Aphrodite. Aphrodite then relaxed, and went right back into the position. Gaston even closed his eyes, seeming to drift off to sleep.

"The snake, just, feels right. Like me and him, belong, you know what I mean?" Aphrodite asked, "He helps my focus."

Ayama sat in her room, saying as her roommate had shown no hide or tail. So, she was gently caressing her bow. And she sat there, in total silence. Not the way she liked it, but it was better than having a roommate who had to tell her everything, even though her and her bow where like that, minus the words. The only thing, the bow was not living, it just seemed that way to Ayama.

Ellessa looked out in astonishment at Aphrodite for the second time today. "It just feel's right to her? The same words my mother said when her spirit beast had appeared before us that snowy night we were lost upon the mountain's heights. Surely this was not a result of 'cultural difference' as well?"

Ellessa smiled absently as her mind filled with memories of that night. The snows had been hard, even for that mountain. They had quickly lost sight of the lights of the village and the storm had obscured the stars from their view. Ellessa's mother and the former leader of the household Yamiko had injured her leg saving her from a massive wave of snow and ice that rained down the mountain. Just when they were at their bleakest moments, huddled together for warmth inside one of the mountains many caves, a wolf as white as the snow itself appeared with eyes that gleamed like gold.

Ellessa rose to defend her mother, holding Vesher for the first time. She charged bravely at it despite never having wielded anything more deadly than a boken before. Just when she was readying to swing, enhanced by the power of wind, Yamiko had called out to her to stop. They had been staring one another in the eye, and Yamiko told her not to harm this creature, that it just felt right that it should be here.

It was only thanks to the nose of the snow wolf that either of them had made it back to the village safely. When the storm was over and they returned to the mountain to find supplies lost to them by the storm, they had both seen that their cave had been buried by another wave of snow. The wolf had saved their lives twice that night.

"If that is how it feels, than that is how it is" Ellessa said gently, trusting in her roommates judgement. "Now follow Gaston's example and close your eyes. Do not open them again until I tell you. Do not move, even if it hurts to sit in Seiza, and count your breaths but do not control them. Let the world fall away from you and find your focus. After a few minutes, we shall begin."

"You really are amazing...even if, just like mother, you fail to see it yourself." Ellessa thought silently to herself as she followed her own commands, focusing upon the principles of the winds itself.

Aphrodite closed her eyes, and breathed. The world flitted away. It was gone. She was somewhere else entirely. It was warm there, and the smell of smoke filled the air. She opened her eyes, but she was no longer in the meadow. Fire, filled her. Outside of this, it started to surround her. But, it would not harm her, or Gaston.

Fire roams within you, child. Fire, is your calling. Live it, breathe it. It shall, and will always be your ally.

Aphrodite smiled, in the real world. She didn't even notice how her legs where burning. But, the smell of smoke had awoken her, it had been at least an hour since they had started. Her breath flowed with amazement, as the fire circled her. She didn't know it at the time, but Gaston, was to be a catalyst.

After a few minutes, as promised, Ellessa opened her eye's and commanded Aphrodite to do the same. "Do you feel clearer of mind now Aphrodite?" She asked as she rose formally out of Seiza position and picked up Vishar and made her way closer to the center of the grove.

"Aphrodite?" She asked again when she noticed her still sitting in Seiza, despite how much is must have hurt her for her first time. "Aphrodite, that's enough....lets begin!" She said more firmly, in a voice her Grandfather used frequently during her training to let her know he meant business.

"She's so still...and that expression, it's like when mother was upon one of her spirit journey's with the snow wolf. I suppose this makes sense...It would probably be for the best if I did not interrupt, mother would always look so weak if she were forced to stop for some reason" Ellessa thought to herself and sighed.

She drew Vishar gently from it's silken home and tossed away the sheath, sending it floating lightly on the gentle wind's before landing due to the weight of it's knotted rope. Allowing the power of earth to flow through her, Ellessa concentrated while holding the sword out in front of her fiercely. Her skin took on a somewhat darker appearance as the tattoo's along her form again began to glow, though this time an earthen brown rather than it's previous moonlight silver. "Lets see if I can hold it for all one thousand strokes" she thought to herself before returning to something immensely familiar, counting in her mind.

~~~
"Almost an hour and she is still on her journey? Perhaps I mistook the signs..." Ellessa thought to herself as she glistened from exhaustion. All across the grove there were signs of her somewhat extreme practice, ranging from broken branches to small area's where the grass had been ripped away entirely. She had actually left and returned once already, going to fill a small water-skin with water from an impressive device another student referred to as a faucet. She took a heavy swig from that water-skin as she readied to return to practice.
Holding the water-skin to the air, Ellessa poured some over her head to cool down. It was then that she first detected the smell of smoke in the air. It didn't take long for her to realize where the smell was coming from, spending year's in the woods necessitated such things. "Aphrodite...?" She called out cautiously as suddenly her feet ignited. "APHRODITE!" She shouted, though the only response she received was a small unconscious smile.
Ellessa started after her, though she suddenly seemed to come to on her own finally, scrunching up her nose, presumably from the smell and the embers. Her tattoo's, suddenly glowing brilliantly in it's more usually moonlight silver, flared to life as she tackled Aphrodite from her spot with much greater speed than was normal. Almost immediately as she was drawn from her place, the fires cut themselves out on the still moist grass. Relaxing again, Ellessa panted heavily before finally succumbing to the combination of her exhaustion from training and stress, collapsing to her knees while her lungs struggled to gulp down the fresh forest air.
Aphrodite didn't know what was going on at first, other than how she was being taken abruptly from her moment of peace. She saw the culprit, and on pure instinct, she threw a very, very hard punch at Elle's cheek. Then after that, she looked at her, breathing heavily.
"The **** is wrong with you!? I was in a a rare moment of peace! I never get those!" Aphrodite yelled. Anger filled her voice. And the power within it was downright scary. And she even pulled out her nun chucks, and then said this, "I don't give two ***** about you wanting to fight me, but if you had to interrupt my moment of peace, I will fight back."
Aphrodite was pissed the **** off.
Ellessa looked up at Aphrodite in shock as her breath slowly returned to her. Her face now bore a bright patch on her left cheek that only continued to redden with time. "Grandfather.....? why....? I don't understand...."
Ellessa slowly rose to her feet and looked out at the person she had begun to think was her friend. "Why...?" She thought again, unable to actually find the words. The tattoo's along her form again began to glow brilliantly in moonlight silver as Ellessa quickly fled the grove as quickly as the wind, leaving behind Vishar's sheath, and her water-skin in the process.
Ellessa ran without direction or thought, not caring where it was that she would arrive. The winds that flowed from her body caused the leaves and saplings she passed to shake violently.
"Why did you sent me to this treacherous place Grandfather!" she shouted to tree's when she could no longer run several minutes later, though the distance was several times larger than what even trained runners could cover in that time. "Why did you force me from my home to meet that....that....snake women!?" She shouted again while slamming her fist into a tree.
Her tattoo's flashed a slight fiery red, following the beckoning commands of her emotions as hot tear's flowed over her reddened cheek. The gleaming silver demon-slaying sword Visher slipped free of her grasp and clanged between two large roots that stuck up and out of the surface.
"Why...did you do this...to me...Grandfather. Did you....did you hate me?" She muttered weakly between sob's as she again collapsed to the floor, never noticing the slight burns that riddled her palms, or the lightly smoldering crater that had been punched into the tree.
"Why...?" She thought once more, and quickly fell away into the darkness of sleep.
Tybalt sighed. He knew Celestine was mulling over that name. She'd been a silent observer for a long time in the world before he'd needed her for his problems. She had a short but very decorated life, but an extremely long and interesting afterlife.
"Uh, is that a noble family? I'm just a lowly commoner." He noted, having no magical background. "And I'll assume since you know that Constantine guy by name, he must be at least related to you. Some big family politics or something?" Tybalt remarked offhand, showing his rather deductive and curious nature. Despite being a little awkward socially, it didn't mean he wasn't observant or bright. Part of the reason Celestine agreed to help him was because he had an interesting, and somewhat conflicting nature. He craved knowledge like her, but simply lacked the social aptitude, and the magical ability to achieve it.
It made him crave it all the more.
Celestine was knowledgable about the world, but she had liked Tybalt's spunk, and the guts he continued to show when prodded in the right direction. This kid would do some interesting stuff one day, she thought on a regular basis. Of course she'd never, ever tell him.
Aphrodite sighed.
"Guess I'd better go tell her I'm sorry, huh?" She asked her snake, as she stood. She started in the direction of the way she went, seeing the holes in the trees.
She sighed, and then stopped. What if she doesn't accept my apology? What if she tries to kill me?Fear raced through her mind for a second, but then she continued. She reached her.
"Words cannot say how sorry I am, and, if you wish to hit me back, do it. I deserve it," Aphrodite said, looking down. Any time she had messed up, she had been hit. She deserved it, or, at least, it had been imprinted into her mind that messing up means being struck.
She then realized that Elle was asleep, and she'd wait for her to awaken. When she was to awaken, she'd say what she had said. And the sad thing is, she was crying, and she almost, wanted, needed to be hit.
The girl she had talked to looked around the same age as her, her appearance was at odds with Lux’s, though. Long Auburn hair and green eyes in contrast to her own turquoise locks and purple eyes, the two were completely different. It seemed she was nice though, as she had put away her book and offered Lux a companion on her journey. The girl even seemed to know where they were headed, which was help in any situation. She seemed to be busy fiddling with her book, looking at her despite her slight…weariness? Lux wasn’t sure.
“Yeah, that’d be great!” she notes, motioning the girl along to wherever this…Professor Burnham was. Aspen Grey was her name as she soon introduced and Lux saluted back “Lux Blythe” before turning slightly to look at the campus’ buildings. When she looked back at Aspen the girl was cradling the book she was reading, rocking back and forth on her feet.
“C’mon!” she notes, walking ahead towards the building before noting back, “Do you have any idea where this Burnham is?” Lux looks around, “Or, better yet, do you know what’s in some of these buildings? That way we won’t have to check them out?” she asks, always one to be systematic about things. “Not that I would mind exploring them…but I’d love to have my stuff back too!” she continues.
Eroria rocked back and forth on her heels as she listened to her parents talked. They seemed to be having a small fight and the young teen didn't really want to get involved. She just wanted to get out of here. Here she was, the spawn of a long line of "evil magic users" (or as many people considered her and her family) going to a well-known magic school. It was exciting and nerve-wracking. Eroria wanted to impress all her new classmates and teachers. Before her, Eroria was sure none of the others were allowed to attend. She wondered if they'd be ever to escape their past, but now they might have a chance.
'If I don't **** it up,' Eroria thought to herself. Her mother kneel down to her and gave her a smile. Why couldn't she have been tall like her mother? Looking more like her father, she felt it just added to the pressure she was under. She felt that people could just look at her and identify her with the word Warden. Maybe that was why she was taking her mother's last name, although she shared both the names. The Sheol family was a good family so she felt that maybe it would balance it out. Maybe no one would ever know she was from the Warden line. Eroria didn't really think that. She was sure people would find out and then she'd be hated and watched and judged like she had been all her life.
"Let's go dear. You're going to be late."
Eroria just nodded. She kept silent for most of the ride there, engaging her mother in idle chatter for a while. She glanced back only once to see her father's face - a mix of pride and concern. She didn't look back after that.
"Ero...please be safe and careful," her mother warned her as they got to the gates. She could see people walking in. She wasn't that late then. She was glad that people were moving. Maybe she could just get lost in the crowd and no one would talk to her yet.
"I will be. Take care mother. Tell father I'll make the Warden name something to celebrate and not shy away from." Eroria wasn't sure if she could do that, but she saw a small smile on her mother's face. They hugged and Eroria turned to go.
She kept quiet through most of it. Luckily no one engaged her in conversation. She frowned when she heard she'd be rooming with someone. She almost bolted when she heard both of her last names. Well there went that. Maybe she could convince everyone it was a mistake. She was Eroria Sheol. Normal, average girl. Certainly not the descendant of dark magic users and evil people.
Eroria headed to her room, hoping that the person she'd be rooming with was not there. They either hadn't made it yet or they had and then left. Eroria entered the room and sighed in relief. No one was currently in the room. She settled her things, deciding to fully unpack later. Right now she was a bit curious.
Eroria headed to look around, walking down some nearby stairs. She didn't notice the extra step as she walked and found herself flailing as she fell down the stairs.
"OW!"
----
Bane smirked to himself, his smile charming with a hit of predatory. He glanced around at the people near him. He talked to some, but he wasn't really paying attention to the conversations that were going on.
Bane was looking forward to this. He didn't think he had much standing now. Half his family had no magic and the other it was rare. But here he was with a pretty unusual skill, or at least he believed so. Besides it didn't matter what people thought. He was here, so that had to mean something.
When his roommate name was called, he looked around as if to try and figure out who it was. Whoever he may be, Bane hoped that they'd be good friends. He wanted to get along with the person he'd be staring a room with. Otherwise it would just be a pain. He stretched when they were let go. He thought to talk to someone, but he left to go to his room first.
He knocked on the door for some reason and then opened the door wide, peering in. No one. Oh well. They'd certainly meet later. Bane entered the room and settled down onto a bed, debating what to do next.
Cyr inwardly swore, the would be twitch of her eye becoming a wince of pain. "Uh...yeah..something like that, I guess. We're just involved in a lot of metal related things..." Licking her puffy bottom lip, tasting the blood that had dried there, her frown came back. "He's my older brother" She admitted with a scowl before adding on an afterthought, "And a cowardly bastard who thinks he's better than everyone because he can hide behind a stupid pointless name, but my brother all the same."
Suddenly a little uncomfortable he'd intruded on some kind of family grudge, Tybalt and Celestine were both awfully quiet, even mentally. Celestine severed their link and returned her full consciousness to the pendant.
After a couple more minutes of very silent walking, the odd pair reached the greenhouse. Tybalt glanced inside the window, nodding. He couldn't do magic, but the potion and herbology aspects of classwork he could memorize and apply with ease, to a great degree of effectiveness.
"I just need to get in. Can you open the lock?" He asked Cyr in a low voice, glancing up and down the hallways, seeing nobody.
Without giving a verbal response, Cyr moved close to the door. Setting her hand over the handle and lock, she set into a focused mind. A dull click echoed down the hall before she pulled the door open, feeling the warm dampness of the green house seep out. "I, uh, wish I could say it was nice to meet you...but circumstances kind of make it a bit too painful for that phrase. I hope you understand."
Offering another poor excuse for a smile, she moved to pat his shoulder, stopping herself before she touched him. Moving past him, she started off down the hallway. She needed to get a teacher, both for the hallway mess and for the nurse, and she'd need one fast if her eye didn't stop getting more puffy. Rounding back around the corner, she aimed back for the room she'd heard the teacher's voices in before knocking softly. When a tall, fat man with no neck and a walrus mustache opened the door, she had the oddest feeling getting a teacher wasn't the best idea she could have had.
Tybalt eyed Cyr rather sympathetically as she left, without saying a word. He felt as if he should have said something, anything to break the silence, but he couldn't really risk getting caught now. Stealing into the room quickly, grabbing many plants he needed, Tybalt pulled a folded up bag out of his pocket, filling the sack with plenty of varying plants. He knew a few good potions and mixtures he could create to give varying effects. With barely any time spent in the greenhouse, Tybalt made his exit very quickly, and stood at a crossroads.
He felt like he should do something. He knew Celestine would suggest he did something as well. She always called for action, and prodded him in a very reactive, but usually honourable direction. Knowing this, before she even started, Tybalt knew she'd want him to go after Constantine.
So, boy. When are you going to wreck revenge on that Constantine Felner? He had his pathetic subordinate hit you. Celestine started, just as Tybalt had guessed she would.
What makes you think I will? He asked her in return, crossing his arms and looking down at his bloody shirt.
You attempt to come off as cool and aloof, and I know it's difficult for you to face up to people like that. You were courageous, and showed fortitude standing up and helping that girl, even if she did all the work. But you are angry right now, boy. I can tell. You've had a thing for fairness and justice since I have known you, and you just plain don't like Constantine. Time to show some spirit, boy. Are you going to let him treat people like that? Celestine continued, becoming visible, hovering before Tybalt and crossing her arms in return, her head cocked to the side and a coy smile on her lips. Her eyes however, showed a predatory glint. She didn't like Constantine either.
No. Tybalt replied, clenching his jaw. Celestine nodded, and began to hover away, following Constantine's trail. Tybalt followed, fiddling with the plants he'd taken.
If he was going to stand up to a mage, he needed to make sure he could hold his own. Celestine pulling a few tricks might not cut it.
[The BetterKuja Neither Tybalt nor Cyr are near or in the dorms, or anything close to being dorms, or near other people for that matter. Thank you.]
Standing at the scene of the fight, the Walrus man waving his wand around as water was being pulled into a giant ball in the middle of the air, another one just tutting and asking way to many questions for her to keep track of, and the last one poking and proding at bruises to see how bad the wounds were, Cyr was getting really confused. "Now, who did you say did this, again? Do you know their names?"
"I didn't, I don't know, I couldn't see their faces. Ow, that...really hurts. And none of them said any names or anything, I really don't know." The more medically inclined teacher pulled at her chin, tilting her head up as she looked at her now rather swollen black eye and fat lip. Staring back at the crowish woman, she tried not to blink. She knew the other was looking for signs of a concussion, and though she was sure she didn't have one, the teacher probably wouldn't believe that without checking herself.
"How many where there?"
"Three, four maybe? I'm not really sure."
"Where did all the water come from?"
"I uh...chased them off with the pipe...I didn't know it was a water line, I swear, I just thought it was air or something." The walrus eyed her suspiciously, not believing her for a second. As the water evaporated into the air, he came closer to her, mustache twitching.
"First years aren't even suppose to be in this part of the school yet. Add on destruction of school property, and even accounting for what happened here, you're still looking at some nice rule breaking within your first evening here, Miss Felner. I'll be seeing you after class tomorrow for detention I'll be sure to bring some student photos to see if anything jogs your memory. For now, Miss Crowley will be taking you to the nurse's office to get you properly taken care of. Don't let us see you in these halls past hours again."
Ellessa slowly began to come to, sprawled out in a mass tangle of tree roots. "My face...." Ellessa thought to herself, absentmindedly reaching up for her cheek as the memories came back to her.
"I thought that she would have been my first friend...and yet..." Ellessa began to think before being interrupted.
"Words cannot say how sorry I am, and...if you wish to hit me back, do it. I deserve it." Rang out in the air from her as Ellessa struggled to regain her composure.
"She followed me? How long was I unconscious for if she managed to catch up to me....how shameless of me Grandfather..." She thought, though feelings of relief bubbled up inside her.
Ellessa rose from slowly, her body crying out aches from all over as she did. Looking around, she located Vishar as stray rays of sunlight reflected off of it like a mirror. She held her hand out towards it, concentrating on her wind and causing it to fly free of it's wooden tomb and into her hands.
"...You are the most infuriating person I have ever met." Ellessa started as she walked forward towards her with Vishar gleaming lightly in her hands.
"...But I wont hit you..." She said as she walked past her following the path that she took to arrive here, the way marked clearly by the disturbance the uncontrolled winds had caused.
"...once a Hardie makes a decision, they never waver in it...it is our honor...and did I not already agree to be your friend?" She said as she disappeared further along the path, obscured by trees.
There was a short pause before Ellessa reappeared, peering from beyond the tree line at Aphrodite.
"Are you not coming? We were going to train were we not? ...Though....instead of just motion training like I intended, I think i'll have you actually use the nunchucks. Perhaps you'll amuse me by hitting yourself again." She said while turning and again walking back. Though she had tried to keep her voice as neutral as possible, her odd humor was still easily noticed.
Won't hit me? Why? I, deserve it, Whenever I do wrong, am I not meant to be struck? Whatever could be the matter with this girl if she wouldn't hit me for doing wrong to her? I. Aphrodite looked at her, and then ran, ran fast as she could back to the dorm. Away from this mess. She couldn't stop the tears, she went to her room, and locked the door, allowing herself to fall on the bed with silent sobs. The memories came back, the night her parents had died, was when she truly knew she could control fire. She had caused it, she had made the house burn. . . I'm a monster.. . I killed my parents. . Went through her mind, over and over and over. She felt that her life should have been ended ages ago.
Ayama sighed, and then heard a crashing noise from the stairs. She ran out, and saw a girl there. "Are you alright?" She shrieked at her, worry in her voice.
Eroria looked up to see someone there. She made to stand, to reassure the girl that she was fine, just clumsy, but pain shot up her leg and she winced.
"I...I think I twisted my ankle actually," Eroria said, gesturing to her left foot. "I did something to it." She moved it a bit. It did hurt, but she didn't think it was broken. She looked back at the girl, suddenly shy. This was her first impression on the first person she talked to? Well she was going just fine in reclaiming the Warden name. She looked away, blushing faintly in embarrassment.
"I might need to be taken to the nurse." She didn't ask for help, but the question seemed to linger in her voice.
"My skills? well to be honest, unless you count playing "super smash brothers" as a skill, i don't really have any, my magic is barely up to par as it is, and i can barely keep up when running track..."
Lucian sighed, and just then the person came up behind them "Jace, chill out, man... sorry mate, my friend here is just a bit jumpy"
he let the other person go past, stepping asside for them
"Jace, calm down man, i can bet you're not used to being around a lot of other people, but you need to stay calm"
