"Didnt the tree yoma you kill yesterday release 3 grief seeds yesterday. I thought the stronger the yoma the more grief seeds it drops. I mean the snake was fairly easy compare to the tree." Yui says not really understanding why katja said that. It just seem out of the blue. "We still have another yoma maybe it release more then the snake did."

 

[Karcen]

" That is a misunderstanding the tree dropped fewer because i opened a rift inside it meaning the energy was lost, I can only assume the same is true of you as Ice absorbs energy" Katja explained her idea which seemed to make sense as they would both siphon off energy every yoma was meant to give 4 or 5 seeds not 2 or three. " This brings up another question if i know that you likely will cost me a grief seed buffer, then logic dictates i should leave you to work alone as you do not need me to be here. SO then why am i not leaving when i normally would it is.... confusing?" Katja said sounding almost confused but her monotone voice could only go so far in portraying emotion.

 

[Lil Shirou]

"Because i am your friend. I mean isnt that why you spent the night at my house. I dont see that as confusing. Besides the grief seeds isn't why i am hunting the yoma. I to save the people from being a yoma or hurting others." Yui says when suddenly there a large rumbling beneath katja and yui. The other yoma soon appears from beneath the ground.

 

[Karcen]

Katja knew that it couldn't be friendship she did not make friends she worked on some form of logic whatever was best for her job. This meant what had kept her around could not be friendship she had stayed from some other reason but she didn't know what it was. The two of them were very different given Yui did this out of some form of justice and she did it just because it was her job. She didn't get the time to say anything more as the second Yoma showed up from the and it looked like a big moles with boney almost all over except the nose which was covered in large long tentacles.


" We shall continue this talk after this" Katja said as she had her servants attack the yoma, Oberon just hitting where he could mostly aiming between the bony plates while Freya targeted the massive tendrils.

 

[Lil Shirou]

Yui tries to form her water wave to ride around the yoma. Yoma simply cause an earthquake sending vibration through yui's wave causing the wave to collapse on itself. " it causes earthquakes. This is going to be alot harder then the snake." Yui tries to attack again with an ice shards.

 

[Karcen]

Katja moved back when the Yoma caused a quake, it was tough and could disrupt Yui's water and the boney plates protected its body. Still there was little Katja could do directly as her servants where the majority of her attack power and they were not doing much though Oberon had managed to cause a few wounds.


" It will be difficult but there have been worse, if you could make it move i could just cut it's head off" Katja said using a plan she rarely did but this yoma didn't do much in the way of striking at her.

 

[Lil Shirou]

" i guess close and personal it is then. Katja be ready to attack it with your minions."


Yui charges the yoma at full speed. She uses tsubaki as inspiration. Making a sword and something that looks like a crowbar out of ice. She tries to pull the boney plates away from the body and cut the connective tissue behind the plates. She succeed at it the yoma screams in pain. " katja attack there while i work on the other plates. "

 

[Karcen]

Katja watched and waited Oberon actually helping peal away the Yoma's plates while Freya shot powerful arrows into it's exposed hide.


" All i need is one opening" She said though in truth she needed less as soon the yoma got weaker from their work and started to convulse. It was in its death throes and soon enough it was dealt real death and the twisted turning into a four petaled flower.


" That was simple enough" Katja said gathering the seeds.

 

[Lil Shirou]

"I really hate going up close like that. I prefer distance fighting. So is it 7 or 8 greif seeds we got total today. So lets say we purify our soul gem now and it be 5 or 6. Katja does that seem fair to you?" Yui says with a bit of happiness in her voice.

 

[Karcen]

" You miscounted the first yoma gave us 2 this gave us 4 we have 6 total 4 after cleaning" Katja said oddly she didn't really mind splitting the seeds she didn't care about them, or well she was less interested in gaining them than normal. If Katja did not know better she woudl say she was feeling some kind of emotion but nothing had happened to cause such a response, it was all very odd. " Either way it does not matter we killed the yoma 4 seeds, 2 seeds it is all fine" She said seemingly contradicting her previous statement. " We should return to your home, or go to mine i will have nothing on if we go back to normal"

 

[Lil Shirou]

"Let's go back to mine. I dont want my parents thinking we left." Almost sounding weird cause they did leave yui's house. Just not for the typical reason.

 

[Karcen]

" Very well, but we can take a rift back" She said opening one as she did not care for the prospect of another wave ride. She had had enough of surfing for awhile and it was also slower than rifts. " You just have to hold tightly to me and you will be fine" She said though she left out the part about how she was unsure if that was true as no one else had ever gone though a rift with her.

 

[Lil Shirou]

"Okay so i hold tou like this katja." Yui says wrapping her arms around katja waist and placing her body against katja back. Yui was a little scared by using katja rifts but since katja rode with yui to get here. Yui figures she be nice and give katja rift a shot.

 

[Karcen]

" Yes prefect" Katja said as she stepped though the rift. For a second everything was white and endless there was no direction and the only thing that filled the white nothing was the four servants seemingly sitting at a table waiting and passing time. Then they were back in Yui's room it all lasted a split second and Yui had come though unscathed. " See that was much faster" She said

 

[Lil Shirou]

Yui and katja appear in yui's bedroom in a blink of an eye. " that wasnt as fun and wave riding is." Yui says transforming back to her normal appearence. Yui yawns from exhaustion. "i guess we should try to sleep more before seeing the others or kyubey."


Timeskip to noon the same day-


"Katja are you still sleeping." Yui says quietly. She wait for a response. Alrhough she thinks max may not like her. After she blew up on her after hearing the news of what max's wish Inteled her to do.

 

[Karcen]

" I was until you asked, do you need something or is it that late already" Katja asked assuming it was either Yui had a question or that she had to go as perhaps Yui's mother was gettign worry about her staying without knowing anything.

 

[Lil Shirou]

" i wondering if we can talk to max and tsubaki. If we are a team then we shouldnt be fighting. Do you have a way to contact them?" Yui says in cautious and yet caring way. " i would love to meet somewhere where we can talk about magical girl stuff openly."

 

[Karcen]

" I do not" Katja said getting up still not having put anything on, it was about time to wake up so it was also time to get dressed. " I am not well liked, and after the indecent yesterday few would want to talk to me" Katja sated though that could just be how she saw it and not fully true.


While she spoke Katja also got dressed, having no problem dressing in front of of others or getting undressed, either way it was convenient. " You the only person who has reached out to me, or that at least tolerates me? Katja said feeding tolerate a better word than someone liking her.

 

[Lil Shirou]

"I guess we can always wait for a yoma to attack and then hope for them to show up. Can we hang out today atleast." Yui says with a hopeful look in her face . She kinda look like helpless dog begging to be with the older girl.

 

[Karcen]

Katja wasn't one to be affected by puppy dog eyes, but oddly instead of insisting that they do their job while they hunted for the others, she decided she would hang out with Yui in the normal world. It was no where near efficient it was just a waste of time yet Katja would not be complain about it. She still had not answer to her questions about why she was doing this it was not what she woudl do for a friend or maybe it was Katja did not know.


" Very well we can hang out, i have no protests we can see a movie or something" Katja said seemingly assuming they would be in the real world not slip space while they were together.

 

[Lil Shirou]

"Whatever you want to do big sister. I am fine wish as long as i am with you." Yui slips in but hoping it didnt sound to weird, or that katja wouldnt like it. She kinda hope they find the others to. Hanging out with older girls even it just being katja seem fun to yui.

 

[Karcen]

Big sister that was odd, to katja that required a blood relation or marriage of which they shared neither. Katja didn't get upset over it but she did just find it an odd term as they looked and acted nothing alike, it could be some new term that kids made up. The question was what did it mean, it was a sign or respect in gangs, but they were not in a gang so it must be a term of endearment. That figured out Katja figured that perhaps it was some kind of term for an older girl you liked. That made sense to Katja so she assumed they were goign to be dating now and she didn't reject the idea. She would do it then.


" Very well I will be your big sister and you can be my little one" She said not understanding the actual meaning.

From the moment Max had woke up, Jun was at her side pawing for attention. The small ball of fluff would alternate between trying to win Max's attention and sleeping against the blob of blankets that remained in the bed. Tsubaki slept rather soundly that night, barely even moving as the hours slipped by. Perhaps it was from the exhaustion from the battles and being wounded. Or maybe it was just how she always slept. Either way, she certainly wasn't showing any signs of moving when Mac had first gotten up. After a few more hours slipped by, some indication of life stirred beneath the covers.


Everything was stiff and aching when Tsubaki slowly sat up. She rubbed her eyes before looking around her room half asleep, spotting the other girl at her desk. "How long have you been up?" She muttered still half asleep. Though that didn't stop her from noticing she had regained use of her hand and her wounds seemed to have healed. The bandages however . . .


Well . . .


They were rather thoroughly stuck in place.


Blood can be surprisingly tacky and it had rather effectively adhered the gauze to Tsubaki's skin. Getting it to come off was going to seriously suck. "I think I'm going to go soak and see if I can't get these bandages to come off." Tsubaki said as she slowly stood, much to the protest of her stiff form. "If you haven't already, help yourself to whatever's in the kitchen." The still sleepy magical girl rifled through her dresser for some clean clothes. "I don't know how long I'll be, but if you need to chat about whatever it is you're working on I won't be all that hard to find."

"Don't worry, it's only been about four hours," Max said casually. She had woken up at sometime around seven. Max nodded and walked out of the room and headed to the kitchen. She looked around and settled on some toast and OJ. A plain breakfast, but she was distracted.


Max tore a bunch of pages, having now moved to a notepad, and splayed them out on a table so she could look over what she'd done already. This... well, it SEEMED like a single problem, had already taken up about fifteen sheets of almost incoherent paper, but Max was beginning to look excited as the problem was getting smaller and smaller.

It now 2pm yui and katja are at the mall shopping and waiting for a movie. "Katja try this dress on. It would look on you." Yui says holding up a dark blue dress that goes to the knee. Yui didnt really know anything about clothes. She just wears anything that looks good.
