Realistic or Modern Progress City: The Next Generation of Heroes (Accepting if Interested)

Alizeh watched the robot as the tree fell onto it, the appearance of the chainsaw confirmed this was a pretty advanced robot. She was still not entirely sure what it wanted with her but it obviously wasn't anything good. She flicked her wrist towards him creating a whirlwind in a circular solid from her hand which reached out to him. The repeated howling echoing around her was disorienting and made the whirlwind shake slightly as it approached the robot. She didn't know what she needed to be brought in for but she wasn't going to be taken in easily.

Astra smacked out the flames before attempting to create a crutch of the large branch. She managed to painstakingly pull herself up and hobble towards Wulf. The wood dug into her hand and the brace painfully gripped her leg, but somehow she made it to right next to the tech before falling over. With a grunt, she attempted to smack him in the head with her stick before red overtook her vision.

@Carnation @NightSky

Wulf saw the incoming wind attack. He rooted himself to the ground crushing the cindered wood beneath him but then another sneak attack from the girl caught him off guard again. Just as the branch was about to make contact, another robot looking dog resembling to Wulf but a little more savage jumped behind some bushes and grabbed the stick that was about to be used to harm its alpha in its mouth. Soon two more appeared behind Alizeh barking frantically. Their metal teeth were a lot more sharp when compared to Wulf's chainsaw. Wulf soon recovered from the attempted attacks and looked towards them again. "You used your numbers agaisnt me. Logic dictates that I use that same advantage of yours and use it against you."

Astra glanced around with a terrified expression. Careful to make no sudden movement, she pulled herself towards Alizeh, signing insults slowly at the metal dogs. 'Stupid carrot face dogs! I will melt your face off, you asparagus!' Where just a few example of her food related insults. Seeing as these had no effect, Astra whimpered and curled against Alizeh. 'Are we gonna die Mommy?' She signed worriedly.

Alizeh spun around to see two more of those robots and sighed heavily. With Astra unable to fight and there now being four dogs they were no longer the ones outnumbered. "Shoot." Alizeh muttered looking between the robots. She couldn't attack them all at once because she could risk hurting Astra. She started firing blasts of wind towards one of the closer robots. Soon after she realized her attacks weren't going to do much harm, all she had was the air. Alizeh looked down at Astra who was signing up at her with a scared expression. "Its going to be okay." She said with a slight smile before putting up both of her arms to create a whirlwind around the two of them at an attempt to keep herself and Astra safe; and keep the robots away.

@Echo Dreamsong @Carnation

Wulf howled again and the rest of the dogs formed ranks behind him. Then he made a slight gnarling sound and the dogs began to surround the whirlwind to seal them in. Wulf then approached and dragged his tail/ chainsaw on the ground slicing it as he walked. Then he began to shrink himself. Not in the sense of getting smaller but was decompressing his body size so that he could move through the faster wind currents without getting blown away. Wulf put the chainsaw into a holster on his back and began to claw his way slowly to the center. His visor glowed ever more red with each passing step closer to his prey. Soon he was almost face to face with them and one claw made it through, and his other front paw was placed firmly in the ground beside it. "I have you now." "K-9 units! Stand down!" All the dogs, and Wulf stopped in their tracks. Wulf turned his head around. "Director."

(Earlier) "Ma'am the K-9 units have been activated as you requested Director." "That's the first good news all day." A few hours have passed since the attack on city hall. "Man I'm tired." Everything seemed to have gone wrong today. This was her first day here too. She was called in by an old friend to watch over his kid and now here she was but her friend seemed to have disappeared. The dang idiot didn't even tell her where he lived or what the kid looked like except one photo that was given to her through a phone picture. "I still have other things to do than just sit and wait."The director was finishing a cup of coffee when she looked to see the time on her phone and the image came up. Then her right eye seemed to fall on the camera which was Wulf's point of view and saw a face which matched the one in the picture."Lieutenant keep things in order here!" "Where are you going Ma'am!? Ma'am!"

(Back in the Park) As the Director walked by the dogs lowered the head. "Wulf here now!" It took some time for Wulf to get out of the whirlwind but once he did he stood right next to her and put away his chainsaw. The Director had to raise her voice even louder so she could be heard over the whirlwind. "Excuse me! But do you mind lowering that whirlwind. The units have stopped their advancements! Plus I don't want to attract any more unwanted attraction to this area. Please! I just want to talk to you!"

Astra looked up at her mommy and nodded slowly before throwing bits of grass at the cyclone in an attempt to stop it. Her leg was beginning to throb as the adrenaline wore off and the pain medication the hospital had given her had begun to wear off, leading to blurred and red vision on her part. Seeing as the grass attack wouldn't work, Astraea began signing rude vegetable comments at it.

Reluctantly Alizeh lowered the whirlwind but stepped in front of Astra to avoid her getting hurt. "If you just wanted to talk about you could've done that first before sending a bunch of robotic dogs to attack us." She said bluntly, not entirely convinced by this new person.

Raising her hand slowly Alizeh created a small wind which brought Astra's wheelchair towards her. Alizeh carefully lifted the young girl into it. "It's okay, I'll get rid of the pain soon." She said quietly to Astra before turning to the person who had spoke to her.

"Whatever it is can you make it quick." Alizeh looked around to the robots and kept on alert. "I really need to sort out her wounds."

@Echo Dreamsong @Carnation

"In do time. I will be happy to explain myself and for the K-9 units actions, but your right that your friend their needs to go to a doctor, but not the one from any normal hospital. I know it is a lot to ask for from a stranger you just met, but you two need to come with me. I know a friend who can help your buddy with her physical injuries, along with her.. erm... combustive abilities. Wulf with me." As the director was walking away she could tell there was still little to no trust between her and the two. "I know what your thinking. How can I trust a mysterious woman who happens to be in charge of a small group of robot canines with chainsaws and sharp teeth. Well you can't, but I highly doubt any normal doctor can help your friend with her condition." The director stops walking and turns around looking them both in the eye. "Your quite the cautious one. You never changed in all these years. You may not recognize me now but I sure can't forget a face. You are a lot more like your father than I could have ever imagined Alizeh Peale, or should I call you Breeze now?"

(I'll explain how the Director and Wulf fits in this plot in the next post.)

@NightSky @Echo Dreamsong

Alizeh looked down to Astra. "What do you think?" She asked referring to the lady's offer about a specialized doctor. After all Astra was the one who needed the doctor so it was only fair to let her chose what would happen to her from this point.

At the mention of her full name Alizeh's head turned sharply towards the woman. "I'm sorry, should I know you?" She asked not meaning to sound rude but rather curious. The mention of her father had obviously caught her attention.

((This is my last post for today I'm off to bed now. ^_^ ))

Astra frowned at the director, looking between Alizeh and the wolves. Truthfully she didn't want anything to do with these wolves, but for her mommy's sake, she nodded. Then she slowly moved forward with the chair, going to examine the metal dogs. Then she looked up at the director and smiled nervously.

" Technovore, status. "

The voice reached her in abrupt fashion, disrupting the silence that she had grown used to for the past few minutes. The hooded figure slowly reached for a device located under her robes, tapping the screen once before parting her lips. Her voice, altered by the same device, located around her neck. " The situation was neutralized before I could had any involvement in it. No casualties to report. " The response came after a few seconds, most likely her superior was baffled by the outcome. " A full report. " She promptly abided to his command. " ...and now it seems she is taking them away with her. " She ended her speech, eyes still scanning the area from the top of the building. " ...could she be one of...? No, no, that can't be... " She could hear the man mutter, perhaps to himself, perhaps to the woman who was always by her side. " ...Did you record everything you witnessed? " " Affirmative. " " Good. Move along, we wasted enough time as it is. " " Should I... " " No, return to your duties, Technovore. Prioritize the lives of civilians above all else. " It had been long since he had used those words on her. It remained as effective as ever. " ...Understood, sir. "

The Director took out her watch and pressed a single button and her ride appeared from under an invisibility cloak. She pressed another button and the car went lower to the ground and opened up wide enough to let Astra in with her wheel chair. She looked back at Astra with a slight concern glance. "We have to hurry now. Alizeh there is room and a few seats in the back of the vehicle. I'll explain everything once we get to HQ. Wulf please show them where they can sit safely." Wulf noded his head and began to lightly nudge Alizeh on the leg and the wheel chair with his nice cool metal head showing that he wanted the two to follow him. Wulf then went in the vehicle and layed on the floor like a dog. His tail was swinging side to side waiting for the two to enter. Inside it was well furnished and roomier than expected. There was even a mini fridge stockpiled with fresh drinks. "I was originally gonna pick you up in this, but it seems odd now considering the situation." The Directoer said to herself as she got in the driver seat.

(Sorry about being a little late with this post. There has been crazy lightning storms going around where I live.)

Alizeh took a deep breath before getting into the car. She was still not entirely convinced and felt uneasy by the fact this woman knew her name and her father. However she didn't have any other option if she tried to get away she's definitely be caught by the wolf robots and she couldn't leave Astra, especially not in her condition.

@Echo Dreamsong @Carnation

Astra looked at the car nervously. The last time she'd been in a car was the time she almost went to jail. Not helping her phobia of cars. 'I can just wheel after you?' She signed with shaky hands. After another moment she forced herself to wheel in, glancing nervously at everything. The fridge freaked her out and she began sign shouting at it. 'DUMB CARROT ELECTRONIC! You won't blow us up today! Not today bomb! Bad carrot!' Sometimes she gets a bit paranoid.

Wulf looked puzzled as he watched Astra's sign language. "This unit doesn't understand. Why does this Eximius Humanus use vegetables as insults. I was observing this the whole time of our confrontation. And what does their purpose have to do with explosives, much less electronics. (Looks to Alizeh) Do you understand her meaning behind these words?" The Director looked in her rear view mirror. "Please forgive Wulf. He is ... adapting to his new environment in the city, and still has a lot to learn in the art of politeness. You can give him a little bit of information. Anything really. One of you can just throw him a bone." Wulf's head looked towards the direction of the Director. "My exoskeleton resembles that of a canine. Canines enjoy bones. Amusing on two levels." "You still have to do that to every joke someone says?" "Affirmative. My job is to analyze, break down, and record everything in my surroundings for my future endeavors." The Director gave a sigh as she continued to drive unto a path leading into a deserted district of the city near the piers.

Alizeh shock her head slightly with a smile. "I can't understand her but I can get a general idea of what she is trying to say through her facial expressions." She replied to Wulf before looking out of the window. She currently couldn't tell where they were headed.

She turned back to Astra. "How are you feeling?" Alizeh asked softly, genuinely worried about the young girls health and injuries.

@Echo Dreamsong @Carnation

Astra clung to her chair, glaring at the window. Cars really did freak her out. And the fact that she couldn't run away from the car just made it worse. With a small shudder she clung to Alizeh's arm and closed her eyes tightly, mentally going over escape plans if they suddenly went to prison. Not that prison would be bad. They have food, but what about the other there?

@NightSky @Carnation

Somewhere in the city, an alarm went off. Nothing major, a small convenient store of sorts. Screams and sirens filled the air. Security footage showed the culprit, and they quickly decided force was necessary.

Inside, hunched over one of the many aisles was a massive figure, it's face in its hands as it audibly are away at the snacks and food products inside. It's jaws having split, to fill its maw with more and more food as it choked them down, packaging and all.

The police didn't dare move forward. They simply trained weapons on what remains did the door and waited, hoping to atleast detain the creature until someone can come help...

"Alright we're here" The Director turned into one of the repair garages and parked in the closest ship.. Nothing happened for a few moments until a bright blue line surrounded the car in a square shape. Soon it soon was found out to be an elevator. The director looked in front of her as the car descended in the elevator. As they went down they passed the the sea, and a few layers of dirt. Soon a bright light appeared and rooms upon rooms filled to the brim with strange tech, vehicles, training centers, and even an indoor garden/ park. Everything was practically glowing or giving off some kind of mere presence of power and high tech. Soon the small group reached floor zero where there where two droids along with a matching pair of cyber hounds waiting for their arrival.

@NightSky

At first Alizeh was confused, why would they go through all this trouble just to end up in a repair garage. She was about to call it quits before the car began to sink into the ground. She looked out of the window in amazement as they passed down through the Earth, or so it seemed. Everything here seemed so futuristic.

"Where are we?" She asked once she had gotten over her surroundings.

@Carnation

The Director gave a nice smile. "Well this place is technically called the Drop Off. Anyways poor jokes aside. This facility doesn't actually have a proper name though. It's from the old days. So "we" just call it Home Base. because the outline of the base resembles that to a home plate from baseball. Can't well call it the Pentagon."The Director looked at her phone which was buzzing. "I have to go real quick to the fifth floor. You can meet me there after taking care of your friend." As she exited the car and stepped out a small square underneath her glowed and a physical holographic railing appeared and lifted her up to one of the higher levels. As she was ascending she forgot to tell Alizeh a few things. "Oh yeah! Wulf will be helping you around the place so stick close to him. And don't worry. He won't attack or harm you in any way!" One of the droids opened the door and Wulf jumped out. Greeting his other android brothers. One droid entered the vehicle and looked at Alizeh. "Miss... Is it alright if I push your friends wheel chair to med bay? You are authorized to follow me to see that your company is in safe hands.

@NightSky

Astra shrieked and shook her head at his suggestion. In no way would the kid have anything to do with the crazy metal thing.

'NO STAY BACK YOU SPINACH LEAF!' She sign shouted again, pointing angrily at Wulf.

(Writers block! UGHHH!)

(The new school is awful! I hate it and honestly I miss home more than anything.)

The droid looked to Astra then to Wulf. "Understood. Then please follow me. I must urge that we hurry and that we have a small opening of time for your friend." The droid then sheathed his blaster behind his back and exited the car and began to walk away. Wulf stood outside the door waiting for them. He brought his head low. "I'm sorry. About earlier again. I may not understand what you organics call emotions or freedom, but the one thing I do know is that once you are born into a pack. You have no choice. You only have orders, and no freedom at all. I do not wish to force you (all) to come with us, but unlike me you have a choice. If you wish I can take you back, but out of interest (Astra) I would advise to follow us."

(I know I know nothing of what you are going through, and home sickness is one thing I too face. Know that you are not alone, and there are people everywhere who are going through the same thing or even worse. The only way to get through feelings and times like this is talking it out with friends and family. There are people who care about you and enjoy your company even online like right now. This may sound strange to you because you are reading this from some complete stranger online. I just want to write and crate interesting stories and it always brings a smile to my face to see someone else take an interest and adds on to it. I would like to continue having your company on this rp, but I can't and won't force you to do anything.)

(P.S) I don't mind that your posts are short. It's funny to read in the situations your character is put in. Plus having writers block is an obstacle that everyone faces. When you trip and fumble around all you have to do is get right back up and try again.
