Fantasy [Private] El Stories

Rain
When the Inspector came into view, Rain couldn't help the shock that runs through her body.

"T-that thing's huge!"

The machine drops one of its arms down onto the ground, prompting her to perform a backflip. She sees Ash get hit by the attack, his shield having no effect as he was sent flying to the wall again.

"A-Ash!"

Once Rain lands on the ground, she turns her back to the Inspector as she rushes to his side.

"Can you stand?! Hang in there!"

Humming a quick tune to give some of her energy to Ash, Rain helps him stand on his feet. Her enemy aims its arm at them both and releases a series of explosive energy.

"!!!"

Reacting at a moment's notice, the healer steps in front of Ash and takes the full blunt of its attack. Her other self takes over, gritting her teeth as the attack slams into her body.

"This is nothing...I've..."

She remembers the pain she felt when something sharp, glowing a heavenly blue, stabs into her heart from behind. She recalls the blood caught in her throat, the sudden halt of her bloodstream, and then the abrupt pull into darkness. Compared to that pain...this was only a light burn.

Lara nodded in agreement and got up once again. With some luck, the people that had been lurking around would be already dead or simply had died before encountering the inspector.

She thanked Airi for her offer, but told her she would accept once the battle was over.

"Ash! Rain!"

Rena was barely able to react in time when the Inspector turned his arm toward her. Her eyes widened as she stared into a large gaping hole. She managed to put some distance between her and the muzzle but that didn't change the fact that she was knocked back into the opposite wall by the blast. Coughing, she slid onto the floor.

"Ugh... It's fast..."

The gigantic Nasod slowly turned in the direction of the last person standing.

"Watch out, Xavier! It's aiming for you next!"

Ash
An anger welled up inside Ash as he tried to move, but it wouldn't move. The reason was the being before him. "Ishmael...." ash knew what it meant to be confronted by Ishmael at this time. "You've been busy Ash, finding allies, trying your hardest to defend the El Shard. Even more so that you created life." she didn't seem to pleased with Ash by the expression shown on her face. "You know, I've been watching you all this time letting you go on hoping you could change the world I created with that being you call Ares. But when you tried to play God of Creation and brought a creature into my world that I can't give it a fate, well that's just not fine with me." Ishmaels smile looked lovely but the power behind it would cause a mortal to shiver. "Heh. So what's it you wanna bargain?

Xavier saw it too late as the inspector swung its arm at him and hitting square in the head. He was thrown back at the force and fell limp on the ground. Komodo scrambled out of Xavier and aggressively started to tug his sweater to get him back up. Yet Xavier wasn't responding, not a groan of pain or even a hand gesture to show Komodo that he was alright. He was still. Komodo eventually scrambled to the other side of Xavier and started to push him in attempt to get him to safety and away from the inspector.

Xavier was somewhere else and it was dark where he is. It felt cold and dark, quiet as if nothing was alive in where he is. He looked around the darkness, confused and lost. Not so long ago he was about to face an arm of an inspector but now he was here, in the darkness. He eventually looked down on his hands and saw he wasn't wearing his gloves. His hands were bare and showing off the scars he hated. Xavier frowned and he start to focus the energy on his hand before snapping his fingers.

A fire was brought to life and suddenly the darkness started to lighten up. He was in a room, but it was huge. Xavier looked around with his hand raised and holding the energy of fire in his palm.

"Well, aren't you a weak one..."

Xavier jumped at the boom of a voice and he swiftly turned around. He was face to...snout of a dragon. A very large one in matter of fact. He had to take many steps back to get a better view of the large beast and noticed the dangerous gleam in the rich golden eyes of the beast, its red scales seem to glow at the warm of the fire in his hand and the golden armor shine at the light. The beast was laying down but had its eyes trained on Xavier. If looks could kill, Xavier might as well be dead already at first glance of the dragon.

"Very weak...such shame I don't have enough power to escape here...I would be happy to rip myself out of you."

"Where..."

"We're still at the battle. You're just knocked out cold. This is just your conscience self of your mind." The dragon slowly started to move his head so his eye can stare right down at Xavier. "Now tell me something..." Without a doubt, there was something evil hidden in the large orbs. "How did I get stuck with a weakling like you, Little Fire?"

Xavier felt his breath caught in his throat. Facing a powerful beast mentally as in reality he was knocked out cold thanks to the inspector. He really wished for a drink right about now.

Rain
She was the only one standing.

Xavier ate a brutal punch to the face, knocking him out cold. Rena had already skid across the floor, wincing at the damage she had taken. Ash remains unmoving.

She pants heavily, glaring at the Inspector with murderous intent.

"Rain, place a barrier on them."

"Okay."

This time, there was no singing as she performs her task. Her comrades glow a gentle blue aura.

Her other self takes over afterwards, unsheathing her daggers as she walks forward to the giant nasod. She says nothing, only closing her eyes to concentrate. The Inspector doesn't hesitate to aim its arm upwards and shoot, launching a shower of yellow-colored energy orbs.

"That won't work on me."

She jumps up and summons a cone of daggers. They all spread out to intercept the falling orbs, setting each one off before they hit her comrades.

"Illusion...Disperser."

She lands with the grace of her counterpart and closes her eyes again. Feeling the flow of water inside of her, Rain does nothing as the Inspector charges at her.

"Respond to me."

The ground starts to shake. The sound of rushing water beats against her ears. Her enemy wobbles as it used one of its arms to stabilize itself. Rain then chooses to awaken, but there was nothing majestic about her. Her hair flows out behind her, released from her bun, but it stretched out behind her in a fan-like shape. Her purple eyes darkened, and from a distance, those very eyes could tremble even the bravest of divers.

The room shakes even more. Compared to the Inspector, which is wobbling even more than before, the singer's balance was perfect.

It was as if she was the black swan, disguised as the pure-hearted princess.

Then a pillar of water erupts from the floor and sends the Inspector straight into the ceiling.

"Everyone..."

Rena got onto her feet with some difficulty and analyzed the situation. Ash and Rain were still down. Rain had taken considerable damage from the Inspector. Xavier had been knocked out but luckily, his pet pulled him out of harm just in time. Rena herself had also been sent flying to the wall. It was a miracle that she had remained conscious.

Incredible... Everyone was knocked out in just one hit...

Her heart pounded in her chest as she tried to stay calm and think of a plan.

Hmph. You look like you need a bit of help.

Rena looked around in surprise. She heard someone else's voice seemingly speak in her head. No, not someone else's voice. Her own voice.

Oh, you can finally hear me, huh. About time.

Who are you?

Ha, do you even have time to ask? Shouldn't you be focused more on that big lump of metal? Incoming.

She instinctively leaped to the side. The Inspector's arm crashed down on the ground where she stood moments ago. The blinking lights that made up its eyes seemed to glare at her. Rena stared back at the Nasod with equal intensity.

"I'll be your opponent, Nasod Inspector!"

The Nasod raised his arms and slammed down on the elf. She dodged swiftly and hopped onto its arms. Before she could be shook off, she took aim and shot an arrow towards one of its eyes. The arrow only seemed to infuriate it even more as it roughly slammed its arm against the ground, jolting the elf off. She double jumped backwards to avoid its arms as the Nasod swept the ground in an attempt to knock her off her feet.

Pathetic. You didn't even make a dent.

The corner of Rena's mouth twitched. She landed on a platform, breathing hard. There were multiple cuts on her arms and legs from the debris caused by the Inspector's attacks. She gripped her bow tighter. It was as the voice said, she was weak. She had trained in archery from a young age, and yet she couldn't even make use of her skills in a time of need.

Forest elves, hmph. All they care about is looking good. They ignore the weapon they were born with and just learn how to hit the center of a tree. How stupid.

Weapon we were born with..? What is that?

I'm talking about your legs, idiot. I understand why they avoid punching because its such an ugly form of attack, but to forsake training their powerful legs for kicks, how stupid can they get?

My legs...

Yes, your legs. Are you that dumb that you have to repeat what I say?

Rena thought hard about the voice's words. She looked down at her legs and blinked as an idea came to her. At the corner of her eye, she noticed that Rain had gotten to her feet and seemed to be preparing an attack. Closing her eyes, Rena took a deep breath and remained still for awhile, using her ears as a guide to what was going on around her. She waited for the ground to stop shaking before her eyes flew open.

"Good job, Rain! Now step back a little!"

As the Inspector fell back toward the ground, Rena took a running start and stopped below it. She imagined her leg as a blade, slicing through the air as she kicked. Three blasts of sharp wind energy flew toward the falling Nasod, cutting into the metal. One blast didn't make a difference in the Inspector's tough body but Rena had aimed all three of them at the same spot, resulting in a deep cut along its arm.

Hmm, not bad.

Thank you...

Don't misunderstand. I am not helping you. I am merely seeking entertainment before I take over this body. Do your best to keep resisting my influence, my little pet.

Ash
Ash stood up finally as the burning pain burned through his body. Ash's body was impaled by chains all over that couldn't be seen by ordinary people. "I'll give you a short chance Ash to prove to me your worth." Ishmael said as if she was looking down on Ash, "I'm sorry everyone one..Lancer Equip!"

The armor began to slim down in appearance, two swords and a lance formed on Ash's back. Taking hold of the lance Ash sprinted at the wounded Inspector. Ash knew the limit he had thanks to Ishmael.
"I'll at least stall it while everyone recovers." The magical power inside of Ash was depleting ever so slowly. Ash tapped into his old abilities, even for a moment he needed to keep Inspector stalled.

"Everyone take this chance to regain your strengths."
The strength in Ash's voice seemed to be faint as a whole knew voice like the echo of a god rang. "Land Demolisher." Placing his spear back on his back Ash grabbed his two swords, slamming them down on Inspectors hard armor, both falling down into the ground. Blood spewed from Ash's mouth. "You continue to struggle when your reaching the end of your abilities. It's amazing the will power from a different world." Ishmael seemed to praise Ash but he knew she was just intrigued. The Inspector seemed to get enraged by the constant barrage of attacks, aiming his barrel at Ash, Inspector fired away.
Using his swords Ash absorbed the attack but not without the cost of his blades.

He grabbed his lance again channeling his mana into it.
"I'll be shutting you down...for a little bit Inspector...Elemental Storm...Lancer's Frenzy..." swinging a spear infused with Lighting, Fire, Ice, Wind and Earth, Ash put all his power into shutting and sealing Inspector in a brick of solid Ice.

Ash breath heavily as his armor disappeared the chains revealing themselves.
"Congratulations! You've bought them only about half an hour, but your fate still stands Ash, It's time to sleep once again. I'll let you say your goodbyes~" Ishmael vanished from Ash's side as he fell onto his knees in front of a frozen Inspector, the Ice already showing signs of melting. His clothes where torn all over, the chains that weren't visible made there appearance. He looked back at his team. "Sorry guys.." Ash said with a light smile.

"Ash?!?"

Rena stared with wide eyes at the chains that bound to Ash. One of them had suddenly appeared right in front of her face and she had followed it to the object of its assault.

Ho, the work of the goddess, I see.

A goddess? Why would a goddess-

Oops, I spoke too much. Rather than question me, why don't you talk to that vessel of Ares? He doesn't have much time left after all.

What do you mean he doesn't have much time left!

When the voice didn't respond, Rena rushed over to Ash and knelt down. She grabbed one of the chains to try to pull it out but instead, she was repelled. At the same time, a blue spark appeared around the chains and jumped onto her body. Searing pain erupted in her mind as she screamed.

Damn you, goddess! You dare try to expel me! This body is mine!

Rena collapsed as the pain rapidly spread to the rest of her body. Her hair color shifted between green and pink as the two forces fought for control.

"Please, I want to get out of here. I need to help my friends," Xavier said to the dragon who reeled back his head after taking a good look at him.

"Your friends should be strong enough to handle on their own, or in fact, run away while they still can. If they're unable to defeat a man-made machinery then how they can survive everything else in the continent?" The beast sneered, chuckling deeply as he started to surround Xavier, showing off its enormous body.

"...Who are you and what do you want?" Xavier asked.

"Tch, such small flame doesn't deserve to know my name...and what do I want? Everything,"
the dragon replied, huffing out a puff of smoke.

"I...don't understand, how are you here...with me?"

"So many questions you have..." rumbled the dragon, not answering his question.

"...Why am I see you now?" Xavier asked, hoping to get somewhere with him.

"Ah...That I can answer. You see, I was woken by the El Shards you suddenly started to carry. The bigger amount than you usually carry and not to mention a large amount from the tin can. I was born from such gem, the El, and its powers granted me life. I felt the energy...Now here I am, awake but stuck in here with you," the dragon replied, finally settling down in front of Xavier. "I wish to escape and take everything like I did before...but my memory is not so clear on how I can do that."

"I...see. You're a celestial beast," Xavier said slowly. The dragon only grinned wide at him, showing off the impressive razor sharp teeth. "Then...can you lend me your strength to help them, please?"

"So kind. 'Please'. How amusing that you wish to help your petty friends. Do you actually care for their safety? Did you not trust them before? You must have sensed something strange out of them, I can sense it too," the dragon growled, narrowing his eyes.

"I..." Xavier stopped himself from arguing, frowning slightly. Silence fell over and the dragon chuckled darkly.

"Don't lie to yourself...it would only darken your heart. Besides that, I have grown to have a taste for you boy."
The dragon continued to chuckle and it took a glance up for a moment. "Seems that man-god gave us some time. I'll...grant you some of my powers, Little Fire. I still think you're weak, but if you can prove your worth of using my powers...well, let's see if you can," chuckled the beast and took a couple of steps back. "Let's start the ritual now."

Meanwhile, Komodo was still trying to wake up Xavier, hoping the teen would at least respond or make a noise. Komodo glanced around him, feeling rather helpless. He went ahead to take position over Xavier's body, a protective stance as he gave wary looks at everyone. He especially eyed the inspector in which the ice slowly started to melt.

Rain
Once she sees the Inspector fall to the floor, Rena dives under it and releases a series of wind energy at its arms. She successfully dodges the incoming pile of metal once her attack is complete. Ash then comes in with a different suit of armor and freezes the nasod solid.

It was then that her awakening fades away, and the fatigue is starting to kick in. The Prima Lotus regains control of her body, coughing and heaving as her stomach starts to hurl.

"Sorry...I pushed it too hard."

"I-It's fine. We managed to turn the situation around."

She hears Rena scream then, and she gasps when Rena's hair starts to change from green to pink. The elf then collapses. Ash is also not looking too well. The blue chains surrounding him caused her heart to stop.

"That color...no way...!"

Abandoning everything else, she runs over to Ash and tries to tug on the chains. Unlike Rena, it doesn't spark, but they won't come off.

"Ash! Please hang in there! Please!"

His eyes drooped slowly, and his smile remained plastered on his face.

"That...goddess...! I'm surprised she didn't spawned her little emissary into this world!"

Rain shoves her vengeful self away before the goddess could come back.

In a swift movement of her sword, Lara blew the door open, sending it with a wave of wind towards the Inspector, who barely reacted to it. The Dark water priestess clicked her tongue at the sight of the adventurers who were battling the Nasod.

"Competitors, How annoying" She thought as she leapt towards the machine, only to dash back as orbs of light fell around the Nasod. She charged up the energy of her sword when she felt a familiar dark presence that changed the white glow of her blade into a silver one.

The forest elf was fighting against corruption. It was impossible to resist the thought of controlling her mind through the vague link she felt rise up from the elf's soul. After sending a beam of silver light towards the Nasod, she approached the elf. Her mind was fighting the evil within her, it was a beautiful struggle, but she would make sure that one part vanquished the other to her advantage.

"Spirit. I call upon you to lend you my sword as a suitable vessel..."She murmured in an ancient language Glewin had taught her: the language common to all priestess to fight darkness within themselves and others. Lara obviously changed some lines so that the immense power she would receive would be only momentary. No matter how close to a demon's her body was, the amount of power hidden within the female Elf was risky for her body. It could even begin to rot her from the inside out, just like her old body after she tried to purify the underground temple by herself.

Her rapier took a mauve hue and the remains of the horn she had taken from her head took part of the power, making a flaming horn appear on the side of her head. Lara chuckled as the first seal came off, replaced by the violet demonic energy. Just like with her combat with Berthe, her blade ignited by itself and formed a powerful blade. She leapt back in and, speeding up as she had done before, even faster, and whirled around the Iron colossus, slashing it from all sides and forcing it to activate a magical barrier to reduce the damage.

"How problematic." Her voice echoed as if Glewin, Berthe and Lara were talking at the same time. She drew her sword back to its scabbard and the remains of her energy to her fists and feet. In a final spark of overwhelming strength, she fought the monster head-on with her punches and kicks, bending its metal pieces from its legs until they went flying across the room. When they landed, it sent off a giant shockwave Lara used to get away towards the Healer. The dark water priestess reversed the spell and sent back the power she lent to the female elf. The horn disappeared, her blade stopped glowing and the seal appeared again.

She panted and coughed until she spat a handful of blood.

The inspector was still up, aiming at her.

"GIVE ME MANA!" She ordered to the blue-haired girl to her side, the laser was charging up but Lara was too weak to even get up. Her body trembled. This time, she had abused her potential.

Ash
He gently reaches a hand out to pat Rains head, "Sorry..I messed up..." Ash says as he looks at the chains around him, "Ishmael...doesn't take to kindly with me." Ash then turned his head to see Lara, a slight anger sparked inside of him but there was nothing he can do, Ishmael had sealed him, until Ash can channel his power to what it was before then he'll be able to return.
"I know..this isn't the time but keep this safe..for me." Ash took off his hat, laying it on Rains lap as his body began to disappear, "One day...I'll return for it..and for you." Ash says with a light chuckle as he sends the last of his mana to Rain, Xavier and Rena. "Though it was short lived...I hope we'll meet again my friends." As Ash said his last thoughts his body completely turned to particles vanishing into the air.

Seeing that both sides appeared, he noticed that one particular one abused her luck as the Inspector focused on her.

"Oblivio, take care of Add for me."

"Where the hell are you going!?" Add shouted while seeing Dust jumping through the window.

"You god damn, stupid priestess!" He yelled as he passed through the one way glass. "Samael!" He yelled and as it was commanded, the chains enveloped around the Inspector, rerouting it's target upwards.

With the surprise of everyone noticing on him, he looked at them angrily.

"Stop trying to do something for that guy, he's toasted! Focus on this hunk of junk first!" He ordered them while rolling out of the way of the arm while attracting the Nasod's attention.

Rena remained unconscious as the dark priestess 'borrowed' her dark energy. Her hair continued to shift between the two colors, but it was clear that one would soon claim victory over the other. The priestess's interference had given the pure El energy an advantage over the dark energy but it wasn't enough to completely expel the dark energy.

That stupid priestess... She just had to stick her nose into my business. Don't underestimate me!

A sudden burst of dark energy flowed out of Rena's body. She was encased in a purple barrier that prevented outside interference. A few nearby spirits tried to approach the elf but once they touched the barrier, they were immediately taken over by the dark energy and assisted in the corruption.

Oh, that's right. I forgot about those little twerps. Let's get a bit of help from them, shall we?

A few tendrils shot out of the barrier, capturing the fleeing spirits. Slowly but surely, the elf's hair began to turn pink once again.

Fufufufu... I didn't think that I would get the chance to talk over this body so soon. If I get the chance in the future, I'll have to thank that vessel as well. His mana donation was quite tasty.

Within Rena's mind, two blurry figure emerged. One was formed from pure El energy while the other, from dark energy. The dark figure reached toward the pure figure but it moved backwards, dodging the hand. The pure figure seemed to glare at the dark one but the dark one only chuckled.

Aw, don't be so hostile. I gave you some advice, didn't I? Is this how you thank someone who just helped you?

The pure figure froze but did not try to approach the dark one.

Well, whether you like it or not... This body is going to be mine!

The dark figure lurched forward. Off guard, the pure one was unable to react in time as the dark figure touched its arm. With a small woosh, the pure figure was absorbed by the dark one. An eerie laugh rang out in Rena's conscious as the dark figure began to gain a clear form, revealing a mirror image of the forest elf, but with pink hair and purple eyes.

"At last..."

Komodo hissed at those who dared to get close, especially the newcomers. He was about to spit a couple of flames until suddenly he felt Xavier shifting. He immediately got off and face Xavier to see if he was alright. Xavier opened his eyes, trying to take in his surroundings as he heard different voices going off. His eyes seem to go to a different color, a mixture of red and purple. Komodo chirped, worried that something had happened when he was knocked out like that. Xavier slowly got up on his feet, trying to go slow as he felt heat building up in his chest. A voice echoed through his head.

"Use the El Shards on you. My powers should be boosted with those. If you want an easy way of taking down the man-made machinery, go for its life source. Its own El Shard. Obviously it won't be easy as these beings are going to be in the way. Let's see how much your friends can help you from here, Little Fire."

"Komodo...we got to awaken again. I'm fine now, let's do the best we can," Xavier said to the little dragon. His voice sounded tired though Komodo didn't dare to argue as he sensed something different about Xavier.

Komodo flew back to Xavier's shoulders and roared, ready to go. Xavier went ahead to take out his El Shards, absorbing it with the help of his gloves as the fire in him increased greatly. "Alright. Let's go, Awakening: Rising Drake."

The inspector was focused on the newcomer, Dust, letting out heavy fire as it was aimed to get him. It raised its arm to slam it down but before it could made contact with the ground, Xavier rushed right in and stopped the attack. He was right under the heavy arm and had his arms over his head, gripping tightly on the inspector's arm. Xavier was covered in flames at the moment and his knees buckled slightly as the inspector noticed him and tried to push him down. Yet Xavier didn't go any lower and started to push back the inspector.

The flames around him slowly dwindled down and showed that his appearances had changed. His clothes were like armor and his gloves became more like gauntlets as the tips had sharp claws to dig into the nasods arm. Eventually the inspector gave up on trying to squish him down and started to charge up to fire. Xavier sensed the heat growing at the arm and with brute force, he pushed the arm over his head, tipping the inspector over as it lost balance.

"Avarice Onslaught!"

Xavier charged up his energy into the gauntlets, holding a fiery power of energy as he surged forward at the machine. He made a dent into the inspector, the metal nearly turned black because of the flames, in which the machine did not seem to look happy at all. The inspector fired a laser beam at Xavier who was close to it, Xavier instinctively raising up his arms to block the attack with his gauntlets. The power of the laser was enough to push him back but the gauntlets did a fine job to loosen up the damage as Xavier was still on his feet.

He can sense it now, the El Shard in the inspector. Xavier suddenly felt a hungry need growing in him as he tried to find a way to get close again.

Lara's yaw dropped in surprise as she saw the man who had killed her rescue her. Then, in the middle of a coughing fit, she chuckled. It was obvious why a demon henchman would want her to live. She was too weak to fight back, it would be an easy capture. Plus, if Ran had revealed how to reactivate her mind-controlling spell, she would return to the numb state she was in before Sasha set her mind free.

However, she had still one thing to accomplish, even if the demons took over. Cutting Wally's head off was only part of it, the ultimate goal was.... an ocean beyond.

With tears in her eyes, she stopped looking up and faced the ground. Others were too busy to notice it, but a weak wave of mana was leaving Ash's body. He was gone. In a desperate move, she sucked almost all the mana of the blue healer and used it to get back to her feet. A powerful aura had formed around the female Elf. She had chosen the path of darkness, unlike what her people were known for.

Once up, she got behind the dragon trainer and unsheathed her weapon once again, keeping a close eye on the dark Elf that wielded the demonic chains. She stared at him and shouted in the dark elven language:

"Whatever your link with the demons is, I wonder why you would even bother to bring back a failed experiment to your superiors. There's a reason why I escaped, you know? I won't go back there this easily."

With those words, she let runes of mana absorb the machine's remaining mana and made her blade shine once again.

Rain
She couldn't hear anything, couldn't do anything. A numb feeling froze her heart.

The hat on her lap is light, but she feels like that hat is keeping her on the floor. The healer can feel her energy coming back; the light surrounding her is soothing and...bittersweet. Rain places the hat over her bun and stands in front of the girl who has so crudely called for help. The Inspector fires its laser at them both, but Rain once again unsheathes the daggers given to her by Ash. Slicing a laser the second time that day, Rain turns back to the person she protected. She only nods once before the girl saps her mana away from her.

It really didn't bother her...she experienced this feeling of weakness too many times.

Rain was about to activate Metronome and glide over to the Inspector when a familiar, haunting laugh echoes in her ear.

Rena...that wasn't Rena anymore. She was the splitting image of that elf who destroyed her other self's El Search Party, the same person who broke Raven's heart, who corrupted Eve...

Chloe.

She feels her other self claw her way to the surface, desperately grabbing for control, grabbing for revenge.

"Rain, don't fight me! I have to...I HAVE TO KILL HER!!!!!"

"NO, STOP!!!"

Her shout was so loud, so powerful that even her ears started to ring. The inspector flies to the wall as the force of her voice hits it. Tears poured down her face as she struggles to win over her counterpart.

Rena's eyes flew open from the piercing shout. She waved her hand and the dark spirits formed a barrier before her, perishing in her place. As if she had no care in the world, the elf took her time to stand up and leisurely flipped her pink hair over her shoulder. Her purple eyes held a look of amusement as she scanned the room, taking note of all the people present.

"My, quite a lot of people came for my slumber party."

In contrast to the soft voice belonging to the kind-hearted forest elf, the voice that spoke from Rena now had a mix of sarcasm. She glanced at the healer in the corner of her eye.

"That wasn't very nice of you, little healer. I was having such a nice dream."

Ren had followed Lara after she stormed the room.

Damn, we got beat to the punch, he thought when he saw that other people had already fought the inspector. He kept watching in silent fear as the lavender-haired woman transformed. A demon... I knew it...

Everything played out in front of him like a movie. Lara showing powers he'd never seen before. Yet another strange man appeared and yelled at her. He heard strange names being invoked and strange voices that seemed come from the walls themselves. One of the others, a forest elf like himself, was quite literally getting possessed. Not to mention the huge, hulking robot that looks like an unstoppable killing machine.

The door was still open. Ren could still walk out now. But as he was pondering it, he saw the Nasod Inspector readying a blast for the downed Lara. Its eyes beamed with eerie light as it was about to fire its laser strike.

"Guess that answers that question," Ren sighed. "Apollo's Blessing..." His body gleamed as strange symbols from a lost language appeared on his forehead. Apollo's Blessing sharpened the elf's eyesight and quickened his hands. And like a flash, he already had his rifle up and ready to fire.

Fwooom!

A large beam of light shot out of the rifle, reminiscent of the power of the old Nasods. The beam hit the Inspector directly on the head, right as it was about to fire. There was a huge explosion as smoke fired into the air, and the whole room shook.

"If you got time to run your mouth, then you've got time to attack and dodge!" He yelled back at her, not even bothering to speak with her in that language. "Lizard boy, keep using that fire! Don't give it a single second to turn around!"

As he ran around and took some of the attacks, he noticed that two people weren't doing their job.

"Hey! Take your cat fight elsewhere! If you're not gonna help, then get the heck outta here! You're just getting in the way!" He rushed again before binding the Nasod with his chains.

With the opportunity in hand he ran upwards, swung backwards with his other hand and hit the glass part of the Nasod. A crack was put, enough for the Laser to become unstable enough to not shoot carelessly.

Just as he had jumped, a laser hit the Nasod square in the head, it was damaged enough to not use the laser.

"Keep circling him around! He needs to lose more armor plates before we can reach the weak point!" With a small roll on the wet floor, he dodged the cannon that was about to hit him, but the shock wave was enough to make his footing unstable, giving the Inspector enough time to deliver a powerful attack to the side. "Crap! Stay with me Samael!"

Rain
"Rain, stop! We have to defeat that thing first!"

"Grrr..."

Her other self releases a cry of pure agony, of pure despair within her mind. Her body feels weary. It seems like a daze when she grabs a red potion from her bag and slowly drinks it. She turns to the battlefield, slightly in awe of the amount of people decimating the machine. She hears someone give a dry warning to her, and she proceeds to go to his side as he loses his footing.

"And you, sir, need to work on your balance."

Rain unleashes a note-shaped water attack and sends it flying, making sure to put as much force into it. Her voice rings hollow and tear-jerking as she uses her voice to power her attack. She turns to glare at the boy before activating Metronome and gliding up its busted body. She uses the head to jump up, the water flowing beneath her feet allowing her to levitate.

"Continue fighting! I'll heal anything you take...except death!"

Oblivio

He watched, disinterested in what the battle had to offer. Someone else had fallen into corruption, which was always a welcome sight to see. Except, the corruption between Henir and demons were always different. Henir seeks to turn everything into nothing, into a perfect state of chaos. Demons, however, were a byproduct of Ellia. If they ruled Elrios, however, it might make it easier to accomplish Henir's goal.

Such was his goal to use the demons. Hennon had told him it would be a good idea. General of Henir...the man who was responsible for taking a little girl's power and in charge of stealing the primal El. He had come across Hennon after he escaped the Void. He was reborn anew and the man was delighted to take Oblivio under his wing. Hennon was the one who gave him his new alias, a new name to call himself by.

But from this, it was too late to turn back. He was walking into the darkness...with no one to help him turn around.

Okay, what the fuck is happening. Lara and Steele both show off moves that Airi didn't even know about. A blue goddess just took an ally away. He left his hat with a white haired girl. Several more adventurers were already there. A demon general suddenly came, fighting that piece of trash? Airi considered killing him off, but decided it would be unhelpful.

A forest elf got possessed too? Airi should excorsize her. She took out her knives.

"Astrea's binding!"

A golden like rope came and restrained the elf. It only lasted for five seconds, but Airi was sure it would suffice.
Stepping over to the pink-haired elf, she placed a palm on her back. Airi started chanting an incantation. Golden light poured out of her palm and the elf entered a trance. Airi dragged her body to the side, hoping that the trash won't notice her. It was now up to the elf to fight that other thing inside her body.

Airi charged into the battle. She should first help her teammates, then take down the enemy, she thought.

"Lion's Roar!"

Their attack should be boosted now...Thought Airi as golden light surrounded her 'allies'. She stabbed the ground (a somewhat very smart move) and cried.

"Guys, move unless you want to die!" She said, giving them probably only about 5 seconds to move.

"Path of gold!"

A 'beam' of golden light shot forward, impaling the trash can. Unfortunately, it looked as though it didn't do anything. The trash can was still alive.

Sighing, Airi sheathed her knives. Her golden aura disappeared. She took out her chain scythes and pointed it to the trash.

"You, sir, are dead."
