Zachary walked back into the Pokemon Center and sat on a chair, pretty bored.

Shelly followed Dayton and Bella as they all left the Pokemon Center in Viridian heading for Pewter. She thought to herself as they walked towards the forest which separates Pewter and Viridian. We're going to the forest. I've never been in there before. What if I have to fight a pokemon? What am I gonna do? I can't use my pokemon. Who knows what will happen! I really hope nothing happens... Shelly wanted to try and talk to Dayton and also to know how far they're going. "How long do you think until we reach the forest?"

"It won't take long..." he said as he pointed at a gate which kept getting bigger the closer they got to it, finally stopping when they arrived at it's entrance. His fears were setting in as he looked at the gate, he had never been outside of Viridian and the only thing he heard about the forest was it's almost labyrinthic layout, which didn't helped on making Dayton terrified. Trying to calm himself down, he thought about his grandfather and how he had to travel throught this forest back and forth to return to Viridian, and despite not telling much about the forest himself he always would say to Dayton "I think you'll actually get yourself lost on purpose just to stay there.", which he would then follow what he said with a smile and a tap on the kid's shoulder. "I hope you're right about this..." Dayton thought to himself as he took a deep breath and entered Viridian Forest, Bella following right beside him.


Dayton slowly took in the environment, his eyes widdening as he saw what kind of Pokemon made the forest their home. Caterpies climbing the huge trees, some of them even evolving into Metapods and sharing those same trees with other cocoon based Pokemons such as Kakuna and Cascoon. Bella was looking curiously at every new Pokemon she would encounter in her field of vision and Dayton just stood there with a wide grin on his face, "Maybe this adventute won't be so bad after all" he said to himself, his nervous behaviour all gone.

Shelly walked into the forest after Dayton and Bella. She saw tall trees and some trees had pokemon in them. This made Shelly nervous. What if we run into some poisonous pokemon, or I don't have enough antidotes? She thought anxiously. Dayton was getting distance on Shelly and she didn't want to be left too far behind so she ran after him yelling out to him. "Dayton!-" then "Ouch!" she tripped, falling flat on her face. Luckily the forest grass bed softened the fall and she wasn't hurt, but her glasses and her pokeball had dropped from the fall. Shelly is basically blind without her glasses and had a hard time finding her pokeball and glasses. She called out to Dayton for help. "Dayton! Can you find my stuff for me? I dropped my glasses and pokeball and can't see a thing without my glasses..." Shelly felt so helpless crawling on the floor looking for her things blind as a bat. I hope Dayton doesn't regret letting me come... She thought while feeling ashamed and sorry for herself.

As Dayton continued completelly amazed at all the bug Pokemon that lived in the forest, he began to wonder what he should catch, even opening the possibility of catching every bug Pokemon in sight, "Maybe I should have brought more Pokeballs..." he said to himself just thinking about that possibility, keeping a rather big grin on his face all the while taking mental notes of every Pokemon that appeared in front of him. Despite this type of Pokemon being a common sight on his grandmother's flower shop, they didn't appear in such massive quantities and weren't so diverse, the most common ones being Weedles, Wurmples and Combees. But the other present Pokemons weren't new to Dayton either, as he had seen them in various pictures and photos from books.


Continuing walking, his eyes finnaly set on a Scatterbug that was crawling on the floor, Dayton crouching to take a closer look at it. "Shelly check this out! Did you know that Scatterbugs..." Dayton stopped talking as he heard a thud, quickly looking back to see that the girl had fallen face first into the ground, crawling to find her things without much sucess, "Oh dear..." he said, rushing to get her up, Bella picking up the girls glasses with her mouth and giving them to Dayton who procedeed to hand them over to Shelly "A-are you alright?" he asked with a worried look on his face, Bella rolling the girl's Pokeball towards her.

Matsura walked through the cave clutching her dark ball tightly, ready to throw it at a moments notice. She rounded a corner and just barely witnessed a flash of blue. She smirked and tossed her dark ball. Her Electabuzz exploded out of the ball and looked to his trainer for orders. "Send out a shock-wave and take that Suicune down!" The pokemon nodded and launched a massive shock-wave that targeted the legendary pokemon. The attack landed and Suicune yelped in pain. It turned to retaliate with a powerful ice beam, but Matsura was too quick, "Quickly light screen!" He put up a powerful screen that blocked most of the attack's damage. "Follow it up with a thunder punch!" The pokemon launched itself forward to deliver a quick electric strike, knocking suicune to the ground. Matsura nodded at her grunts who fired out large nets to hold the pokemon down. She recalled electabuzz and called Tokorev. "Sir, we captured suicune. We shall return shortly with it."

Mitsuko would get up and look out her window and smile as today she was getting her Trainer license and her mom and dad were giving her gift but she didn't know what it would be.... "Suko, are you awake honey!" Her mother called out.


"Yeah I'm awake Mom, do you need me to come downstairs and do something...." She was curious since they never called her down to do something.





" Yes...come down Suko..."


|| Mitsuko comes down stairs to be greeted by a her mother and father holding a Happiny for her ||





"Oh my it's a Happiny...I've wanted one..is this...."





|| Both of her parents nod and hand Happiny to her ||





"Happ...iny.."


|| Happiny slowly hugs into Mitsuko ||





"Thank you...Mom and Dad....and did my license come in..."





|| Her parents her over her license and her new bag for travel, she smiles at then and hugs both of them ||





"I'll get changed and get on my way okay...."


|| She runs back up stairs and changes into the trainer clothes that her parents bought last year and saved for this moment as she walked downstairs holding Happiny in her arms and smiling as she got to the door and waved goodbye and walked out ||


"This is gonna be a great adventure Happiny...."





"Happiny....."


|| She headed for Route 1, She opened her new bag and found 5 poke balls and some new shoes to run in but she like her old running sneakers but she changed them anyway and attached the poke balls to her belt smiling and took her first steps in tall grass ||

"Ahhh! This place is terrible! It's full of bugs!" Lapis complained to his companion, Piplup. The small Pokemon yipped in agreement as it and its Trainer trotted along the path out of Viridian Forest and into Pewter City. As Pewter City slowly came into view, Lapis decided to let out all his Pokemon to check their stats. Immediately, Oddish climbed up Lapis' arm and perched herself on his shoulders. His Growlithe and Shinx were busy playing tag but noted not to stray too far away from their Trainer. Thankfully, Piplup stayed by his side. He didn't need to worry about another of his Pokemon running off somewhere.


"Ohhh! Nice! Oddish, you gained a level and learnt a new move!" He congratulated his Oddish after reading her stats from the Pokedex, which earned a happy growl from Oddish. The next set of words that escaped his mouth were just praises towards his Pokemon.


After having done reading through his Pokemon's stats, Lapis clapped his hands together to draw his team's attention.


"Alright! Once we head to Pewter City we're going to rest up before taking on Forrest and subsequent Gym Leaders till we reach Saffron City!" Lapis was getting more and more excited at the thought of being able to compete in Kanto's Pokemon Contest. He certainly did attend a number of contests back in Sinnoh but didn't win all of them yet. That was when his Dad had to butt in and strike a deal with Lapis. Now instead of going for Pokemon Contests and honing his skills, Lapis was stuck in Kanto to earn all the badges.


"First to Pewter City gets a treat!" He suddenly announced as he broke off into a sprint with his Pokemon quickly catching up to him. Lapis turned his head to look at how Growlithe, Piplup and Shinx were doing. Only to find that Piplup had launched himself onto Growlithe's back and was using him as some sort of noble steed.


"Nope! We're not losing this round, Oddish!" He declared as he picked up his speed towards Pewter City

Iris looked around the city for an hour before heading back to the Pokemon Center, tossing her empty cup into the trashcan outside. Walking through the doors she got herself a room for the evening and released her Pokemon before giving them a bowl of food and some water.

 

[Tenebrous]

"Oh, no you don't!" Lapis exclaimed the moment his Shinx managed to run past him. "Change of plans! First to the Pokemon Center gets the treat!" He declared. Yes, he was that desperate to win. Even though he couldn't possibly 'treat' himself.


After a strenuous run, the group finally saw the Pokemon Center that was up ahead.


At the last moment, Piplup slowly stood up and balanced himself on Growlithe as the puppy Pokemon continued running. The penguin Pokemon then jumped and launched himself towards the Poke-Center and claimed first place... Even though he flew face first into the glass door.


"Aww, sorry, Oddish. Couldn't win this round." Lapis sulked along with his other Pokemon. Lapis then gathered his exhausted Pokemon and walked through the automatic doors to the Poke-Center to get himself a room for the night and went to prepare food and water for his Pokemon.

Misuko would start slowly get to the end of Route 1. As she was admiring the scenery of the trees and pokemon flying and scurrying around as she seen a Furfrou


"I've always wanted one of those Happiny let's try are best and get you a new friend."





"Happi..ny..."





|| She smiles as she let Happiny get the Furfrou's attention ||

Shelly grabbed her glasses and put them on. She opened her eyes and could see. She saw Bella rolling her pokeball. "Don't kick the pokeball or he might wake up!" She said frightened. She grabbed the pokeball, stood up and put it away. "Sorry... I was scared, but thanks for the help." She said as she brushed the dirt and leaves off her clothes. Shelly then began walking back into the forest slowly waiting for Dayton to take the lead and show her the way.

"S-sorry..." Dayton said in a distressed tone as he had completelly forgot about the girl's rather terrifying pokemon due to the sudden event. As the girl slowly began to walk away, Dayton regained his composture and followed right beside Shelly, his worried expression replaced by one of enthusiasm as he continued "...as I was saying, did you know that Scatterbugs have powder covering their bodies, it's main reason to be there is so it can regulate a Scatterbug's body temperature, allowing it to live in any region or climate. Isn't that cool?" Dayton's smile seemed to have grown a bit as he gave that small ammount of info about a seemingly random bug pokemon to Shelly. The boy was quite fond of showing off his knowledge about these types of pokemon, but he considered Grass types to be more of his expertise.


As they continued walking, Dayton noticed some movement in the tall grass "Uh... Shelly... You wouldn't mind if I took a look there, would you?" he said, pointing at the tall grass where he saw the movement.

Shelly heard Dayton's question. "I guess not... just be careful!" She said loudly. What if Bella gets hurt and I need to use Grimm? Shelly thought, and stood in fear and watched Dayton and Bella check the bushes.

As he got closer to the bushes, it seemed that the movement had ceased, and as Dayton and Bella looked to see if they could find what was hiding, it simply wasn't there anymore. "Bummer... It must have fled..." he said to Bella, "...but since we're already here... Bella, use Sweet Scent.". As these words came out of Dayton's mouth, the Oddish began rustling her leaves, causing a nice aroma to came out of her, which caused a Ledyba to come near.


"A Ledyba." Dayton's eyes seemed to almost shine when he saw the ladybug Pokemon, taking out a Pokeball from of his backpack, ready to use it once he knew the pokemon would be caught "Alright Bella, use Absorb." as the boy said that, Bella got near the Ledyba, the latter starting to let loose some green particles which were absorbed by the oddish. Despite not showing signs of being attacked, the Ledyba let out a faint cry of pain which caused Dayton to bite his lower lip, even so, the Ledyba began emiting bizarre sounds, but it didn't seemed to have caused any effect to Bella, althought it caused some dizziness to Dayton, who had to sit down on the grass, "O-Ok, keep it up Bella. Continue using Absorb." Bella did the same thing, resulting on the same green particles to be absorbed by her, but this time, Ledyba tackled the purple raddish looking pokemon. The tackle caused Bella to hit the ground, letting out an "Oddish!" of pain, but she soon stood up and used Absorb one more time, revealing that the green particles were able to slightly recover the damage that she took, and with that, Dayton threw the Pokeball.


The Pokeball hit the Ledyba and zapped it, causing the Pokemon to shrink until it fit inside the espherical device, it's struggles to break free made the Pokeball wobble various times, until it finnaly clicked, which meant the Pokemon was caught.


Dayton slowly walked over to pick the Pokeball, showing a incredably joyfull expression as he looked at Bella "We did it!" he said as Bella jumped to his arms, the two bursting out in laughter.
