Ahara

Swashbuckler
Get ready to experience a new adventure in the pokemon world. Specifically the Kanto region with a new story, new gym leaders, a new Elite 4, and a brand new Evil Team to deal with.

I will be accepting up to 8 people who fill out a character sheet and choose their starter.

This will be a moderated roleplay so that battles can have a winner determined fairly. This only applies to battles between players or story driven battles like those against important evil team characters or gym battles. Wild pokemon battles and minor trainer battles can be done without moderating.

Tokorev smiled while clutching his ultra ball. His plans were coming together perfectly. The heist went off without a hitch and Matsura had just reported to him that she had located another legendary pokemon. He walked over to the window at the end of his office to see a giant cage being constructed. "Yes that will do nicely."

Iris Elm had been up since dawn, waiting for it to get light enough so she could go to Professor Oak's lab to get her starter Pokemon. She had been too nervous to get back to sleep and so had gotten ready for the day, careful not to wake up her parents. Iris lived in Pallet Town of the Kanto Region, home to Ash Ketchum and the famous Professor Oak. Everyone knew of Ash Ketchum, the boy who had saved the world millions of times, who had gone up against Team Rocket more times than she could count, and had the power of Aura within him. She had never met Mr. Ketchum though but his deeds were legendary among the people of Kanto. He still hadn't won a league though.

She got dressed in a pink t-shirt that had two white stripes near the bottom which circled the shirt with pink arm sleeves, blue capri shorts, white calf-length socks and brown boots, tied her white jacket around her waist and ensured her backpack was packed with a week's worth of clothing, medicine for herself and her Pokemon, a first aid kit, sleeping bag, toothbrush, and a stove for cooking along with utensils for eating. Her parents had woken up after dawn and the family of three had eaten breakfast together.

When it became light enough, Iris grabbed her backpack, hugged her parents goodbye and made her way through town to the top of the hill where Professor Oak's research lab was. After climbing the stairs that led to the professor's lab at the top of the hill she knocked on the door to have it opened by Tracey. "Hello. Are you one of the trainers here for a new Pokemon?" asked Tracey.

"Yes sir," said Iris. "I've been ready since dawn."

Tracey laughed. "Well, let's go up to the second floor and Professor Oak will show you what's available." Iris nodded and followed Tracey up to the second level, looking around her. When she got there she found herself in a large room full of machines, a video phone, a computer on a desk, and a machine in the middle that had three poke balls on it. Professor Oak showed her the three Kanto Pokemon and she selected the Charmander as her starter. She was then given her pokedex and six poke balls (including Charmander's poke ball).

"Thank you Professor Oak, Tracey."

"Meeting new trainers and giving them their partner is always a joy," said Professor Oak.

"No problem at all," said Tracey. "I'm happy to help."

Iris decided to keep Charmander out of his poke ball after recalling him to his poke ball so they could see the beginning of their new adventure together. They left the Professor's lab and walked to the edge the road that led to Route 1 before Iris sat down on a bench, and petted her Charmander's head.

In a creepy looking house on the edge of Pallet town Rex was inside the house in a dark room with a few candles on a table light the room only a little. Rex was standing in front of the table with his sister on the other side. "Little Rexy Today's the day your leave home to go your adventure." Rex's sister said in a creepy tone. "But before you leave, I have a present for you" and as she said this a Gengar walked out of a shadowy corner of the room holding a poke ball in its hands and sat in on the table.

Rex excitedly grabbed the poke ball and immediately threw the poke ball for the Pokemon inside to come out. The Poke ball unleashed an odd looking Gastly, mainly because of the sunglasses it was wearing. "Umm sis why is it wearing sunglasses?" Rex asked confused by by it. "
It's was like that when me and Gengar caught it, who knows were it came from. But I think it's perfect for you Rexy." Rex's sister said getting up and walking to his side of the table on hugging him. Then in a flash of light the room was lit up and Rex's sister and her Gengar disappeared. "She always does that... Most of my family does that really." Rex said sigh but with a smile on his face.

Rex looked at Gastly and waved him to follow him as he head to the front door were he had his backpack with a few poke balls, clothes, food, and a few other items. He headed out of his home with Gastly following close behind as he headed to the edge of route 1. Rex then looked up at Gastly smiling and said "Ready to conquer the Pokemon league?".

Iris pulled out her pokedex and pointed it at Charmander who looked at his trainer, the flame on his tail burning brightly which signified he was in good health.

"Charmander, the Lizard Pokémon. Charmander's health can be gauged by the fire on the tip of its tail, which burns intensely when it's in good health."

"Let's see...your evolutions are Charmeleon and Charizard," said Iris as she looked through the Pokedex at the next stages for her Charmander. She looked to see what moves Charmander knew and he knew Scratch, Ember and Dragon Claw. "That's cool that you know a Dragon-Type move."

"Charmander." Charmander turned as he heard footsteps coming towards where he and his master were sitting. Iris looked at her partner, getting to her feet as she looked down the path to see another trainer coming through the town. @ChazGhost

"Hey there's some up ahead with a charmander uphead. Ready to introduce... Gastly were are you?" Rex said looking up were Gastly was but he was gone. Gastly appeared behind Iris and Charmander and had a wicked look on his face.

Then Gastly floated up and then dropping down quickly in front of theming using Mean look. His eyes looked big and red under his sunglasses and he stuck out his tongue.

"Ohh no... I've had you for a few minutes and you already scaring people... I'm sort of proud" Rex said to himself when saw were Gastly was and what he was doing before running towards him and the trainer he was trying to scare.

Iris's attention was focused on the path to their left, that being where her Charmander was looking and so they didn't see the Ghastly approaching them until it was right in front of them. Iris let out a scream of fear, falling backwards on the ground, her head narrowly missing the bench she'd been sitting on moments before. Charmander opened his mouth and used Ember attack on the Ghastly. @ChazGhost

Gastly was surprised by the attack and got knocked to the ground by it. He rolled a little before shake his head (his whole body really) and floated back up. Then Rex showed up and looked at his Gastly then at the girl on the ground. "Sorry about Gastly. I just got him and well I guess he's a little trickster" Rex said a little embarrassed through proud of Gastly slightly. Then Rex held out his hand and offered it to help the girl up.

@eclipsehowls

Iris looked up to see a boy above her, before he offered an apology and then his hand to help her up. She took his hand and allowed him to pull her up. Charmander had shut his mouth when Gastly had been knocked to the ground and moved towards his trainer.

"Char?"

"I'm fine Charmander. No harm done," she said to reassure her partner and the boy. She pulled out her pokedex to scan Ghastly.

"Gastly, the Gas Pokémon. Although it can sneak in anywhere with its gaseous body, it can also be blown away by wind."

"So it's a...a ghost type right?" asked Iris curiously, unsure if her information was correct or not. "It isn't hurt by Charmander's Ember is it?" Worry creased her face at the thought of being responsible for the other Pokemon being hurt. She knew that Pokemon were weakened by battling and would get hurt but this wasn't a battle. When she was standing, she brushed the bit of grass off her and went to sit back on the bench. "Care to sit? I'm not ready to leave yet."

"Charmander?" Charmander asked as he looked at the Ghost Pokemon, concern on his face. He hadn't meant to hurt the other Pokemon. @ChazGhost

Kenneth let out a low groan as he took another step, why was it so hot today? 80 degrees? Felt like a thousand. It was as if the entire world was plotting against him, seriously, who makes kids, not even teenagers, go on 'epic pokemon adventures of awesome filled with creepy adults who lurk around corners to jump and attack their pokemon?' How was this a good idea? How was any of this a good idea?

"Kie-uh!" the loud squeak was far too close to his ear for comfort, Kenneth tried to turn his head, the brim of his hat casting shade on a part of his backpack as he caught the eyes of his Sandshrew, Sandy, "Must be nice back there... Don't have to walk... can just lay out on my nice warm back and backpack, curl up and just take a long, lovely nap," Kenneth felt his legs getting weaker with every word, imagining himself curling up under the covers on a soft, cushy bed.

"Kie-uh," Sandy yawned, almost in a smug reply, as it sank deeper into large pocket of his backpack, really, he was just lucky his father hadn't thrown a hairy pokemon at him, at least he wouldn't have to worry about sandshrew getting hair all over his things.

Kenneth paused to look around route 1, really, he had just left Pallet town, the idea that he was not even one, one-hundredth of the way done was a brutal realization. His green eyes fall on a pair near the benches, a girl with a... charmander and a guy with a gastly that was wearing.. sunglasses...
how was it wearing sunglasses? It was a ghost type, right? H-How did they stay on?

His attention was quickly taken from the two trainers, he was sure they were interesting and what not, but not nearly as interesting as that bench. He could almost weep in joy at the sight, it was as if it were calling to him, beckoning him to sit down, to relax for just... just a bit. The girl sat down and motioned for the glasses ghastly guy to sit as well and Kenneth lurched into motion not wanting them to take up too much space before he could claim his holy grail, so to speak.

"Sitting down!" Kenneth declared for lack of better options as he barged past and dropped down on the end of the bench, stretching out his legs and letting out a pleased sigh. He rubbed his hand along the cool wooden surface, "Oh, bench, where has thou been all my life?"

Pausing, as if remembering where he was, he looked up at the... well, guy and then over to the girl next to him before reaching up and tipping the curved bill of his hat to them, "Kenneth, don't mind me, carry on."

Introductions done, at least, as far as he felt like going at the moment, he let his body 'melt' into the bench, his body tensing up at the 'Kie-uh' squeek,
"Come on, Sandy, let me have this..." Kenneth groaned already feeling the excited Sandshrew moving around in his backpack and sticking her head out the top to get a look at her new neighbors.

"Charmander," said the Lizard Pokemon as he turned his head at the sound of rushing feet, seeing an older human with a Pokemon in his backpack. Then he turned back to the Gastly. "Char?"

Someone rushed by her and she was glad she was once more sitting down, or else she might have been knocked over again. As the figure sat down, declaring his intentions as he passed her, Iris looked at him and then at the Pokemon on in his backpack. The boy introduced himself as Kenneth and she nodded politely. "I'm Iris Elm," she said to him. "Oh you have a Sandshrew!" Luckily her dad had a Sandslash and she it was the evolved form of Sandshrew. She pointed her Pokedex at the Sandshrew to get information on it.

"Sandshrew, the Mouse Pokémon. Sandshrew hates moisture and lives in holes it digs in dry places. It protects itself by curling into a ball."

Her mom had packed her a lunch for on the road but knew she might be camping out under the stars which she didn't mind. She liked nature and traveling, even if this would be her first day away from her parents and on her own. Iris let out a sigh, as she stared out at Route 1, wondering what Pokemon she would see in Kanto for though she had experienced a few from her parents' own Pokemon, there was fun and excitement in catching your own. She hoped to make new friends in both other trainers and the Pokemon she captured. "What do you guys plan on doing? Contests or Battles or Breeding?" she asked, curiosity in her voice. @Cosmo @ChazGhost

"At least somebody is excited to see you," Kenneth said, tilting his head back to look at Sandy, Arceus knows he wasn't. Closing his eyes, now that the tedious introductions were done, he settled in to take a nap... until an artificial voice popped his eyes open.

"Sandshrew, the Mouse Pokémon. Sandshrew hates moisture and lives in holes it digs in dry places. It protects itself by curling into a ball."

"... D-Did you just scan Sandy?" He asked bewildered by... what just happened. One moment he was relaxing having sorta heard her name, Iris something with a tree. Palm? Elm? Oak? Did Oak have a granddaughter? Then bam, a red computer book pointed at his back.

"That wasn't incredibly awkward at all," Kenneth muttered, the scratching and unpleasant pressure on his back telling him that Sandy was starting to wake up, "If you start digging through my clothes, you're getting a bath," Kenneth warned, armed with the knowledge from the awkward moment, at least for him. Seriously, how would other people feel if someone pointed a machine at him and it told them everything about them like they wet the bed until they were nine? Not that he did or anything....

"Kie-uh," Sandy's cry sounding more... threatening then normal as her deep blue eyes popped over his shoulder almost daring him to back up his threat, "You think I won't?" Kenneth said, his green eyes narrowing, "I will throw you so fast into a bubble bath you won't have time to say, 'Kie-Uh!' before you are swallowing suds."

Kenneth fought the wince that wanted to dance across his face as Sandy's claw dug into his shoulder as she started to climb over, bringing her face closer until merely an inch separated their noses, neither breaking eye-contact in the battle of wills.

"Kie...Uh," Sandy said low, her voice little more then a growl, "Lavender. Soap." Kenneth replied his voice cracking slightly, the pains of puberty.

Iris' voice broke whatever spell was between reluctant trainer and annoyed pokemon, both snapping their heads towards the girl and saying, 'Kie-Uh' and 'Wait what?' at nearly the same time.

"Oh, right, those are things. Well, battle, I suppose. Have to if I ever want to go home. Long story. Daddy issues. Contest just sound hard especially with Miss. No Baths and breeding?" He asked trying to suppress a shudder, "That just sounds wrong."

"You guys?"
Kenneth asked more interested then he was a moment ago. Perhaps these two were the ones he could mooch off of until he got his six badges. Two people could surely carry his slack better than one.

"Gastly" Gastly said proudly smiling. "I'd say he's ok. He's not hurt badly just a few scratches" And yes he a ghost pokemon, ghost and poison to be exact." Rex said looking Gastly over. Then he was about to sit down somone else rushed over and took his spot.

"I'm Rex Hex and this Gastly" Rex said to both of the trainers pointing at Gastly. "And I plan on beating the pokemon league with ghost pokemon" Rex said proudly with Gastly looking smug behind him.

Iris placed her Pokedex in her pocket before shrugging off her backpack and opening it. A brown leather book and pen were pulled out as she set her backpack on the ground at her feet before opening it to reveal...a lined journal. Pulling the cap off her pen, she laid the book in her lap and scribbled something out on the first page:

Iris Elm

Age 10

Kanto

Vol. 1

She closed the journal, capped the pen again and slipped both items back into her backpack, zipping it up again so it was closed. She nodded as they introduced themselves and stated what they hoped to become on their own journeys. At least her guess about Gastly being a Ghost-Type was correct, even if he was half Ghost-Type. It might seem like she wasn't paying attention but she was just usually quiet until she got to know someone and already spoken a lot. Still, a question had been asked of herself and Rex so she could only reply to the question. "Is it bad scanning someone's Pokemon? I'm going to become a trainer and go through the gyms to take on the Indigo League...maybe become a coordinator as well." She shrugged, not sure about the last part herself.

"Char!" Charmander said when Gastly replied, smiling. The Lizard Pokemon was glad the Gastly wasn't hurt from his attack before once again resuming his survey of the route ahead of the trio. As of yet Iris wasn't sure whether to go on ahead when she decided to leave on her own or take the chance of the trio being friends and going on a journey together.

"Hey Warren! It's time to get up!"

Warren instantly shot out of bed and greeted his mom with a quick "'morning mom!" And ran downstairs to the breakfast table. He shoveled down his toast and got dressed quickly. The process took a little under 5 minutes.

He grabbed his backpack and sat on the couch. He didn't have to leave yet, so he decided to take in every last minute he could to talk to his family before he had to leave.

When the time came, he hugged everyone goodbye and promised he'd visit and call every once and a while. After Everyone was done he slung his backpack over his shoulder, and went to visit professor Oak.

He walked into the lab, taking in all the strange technology, and some of the stuff that he actually knew. Professor oak noticed him and walked up to him. "Ahh! Warren! I've been expecting you!"

Warren pulled out his camera. And lined it up, rule of thirds style.

"Nice shot, professor oak! You're extremely photogenic."

"Oh really? That's nice to know. Anyway, Warren, follow me."

Warren slowly followed oak into the second floor

"So, we just got in a new batch of the 3 main starters, but since you're in the program, you're aloud to pick one of the Pokemon in the other starter pool. It's entirely up to you."

Warren eyed each Pokeball very carefully. he looked at the plate under each Pokeball explaining it.

He looked in the other started pool and stopped in his tracks right away.

"Woah, is this really..."

"Yes, Warren, its really a growlithe. Is that who you want?"

Warren looked at the Pokeball for a second, then tossed it to let out growlithe.

The growlithe said nothing. It circled Warren, seemingly trying to get a read on him.

Warren did the same, looking at his every feature.

"He's pretty big, isn't he?"

"Yes, he is quite bigger than the normal size of growlithes."

"Oh look, what's that on his neck?"

"Oh. It's just a birthmark nothing spe-"

"Woah! It matches my shirt!"

Warren patted the growlithe on the head and looked at him. He was starting to let his guard down when Warren was near.

"I'll take him, professor oak."

"Alright! It's settled! You take him!" Oak reached Into a cabinet with a safe, and unlocked it. He grabbed a pokedex in a fancy looking case.

"You know how these work, right Warren?"

"Oh, for sure professor. I've helped my dad out with his old ok wall the time."

"Well with that you're all set! Be careful, okay!"

"Thanks for everything Mr oak!" Warren was too excited to put growlithe in his Pokeball. He ran out of the lab and into route one.

"Ohh! People here, I should record this..." Warren took out the same camera from before and looked at growlithe. "Lemme get a shot of you." He played around with growlithe for a little bid, all while recording footage.

"Nice! You're a natural!"

Warren then noticed a ton of kids with Pokemon. Maybe 3 or 4 years younger than them. He walked over to them.

"Oh, do you mind if I sit here? I'm just going to get some footage of route one then I'll quit bothering you."

@ChazGhost @Cosmo @eclipsehowls

"How far am I going to have to chase this thing?!" Tokorev sighed as he closed in on the pokemon desperately trying to escape him. Articuno was fast but his Mega Pinsir was faster. "You can't run forever so why don't you just stop!?" He yelled to the legendary bird, a futile attempt to make his job easier. He had been following Articuno all the way from the Seafoam Islands, and now he was flying over some quaint little town. What was it called again? Pallet town? Yeah that sounded right.

All this flying was really testing his patience. He decided it was time to stop messing around and just get this over with. Pinsir drew very close to its target and it's shell began to glow.
"Giga Impact now!" He ordered! Pinsir's shell glowed bright white and it slammed directly into Articuno. The blow caught the bird off guard and sent it tumbling down to the dirt below.

"Finally...Let's go collect our prize." Tokorev and Pinsir descended to the ground in route 1 right beside Articuno. He attached a beeping device to its wing and stood back. Moments later a large aircraft flew overhead and a giant claw dropped down from the bottom of it. The claw grabbed hold of Articuno and lifted it into the ships cargo area. "Good work Matsura. Now bring our precious cargo back to the base and introduce it to it's new home. Mwahaha." The ship took off just as quickly as it had arrived leaving Tokorev standing on the path between towns. A warm breeze blew through his silvery gray hair. He recalled Pinsir to his ultra ball and walked over to the nearest tree. "This looks like as good a spot as anywhere to rest." He said as he sat beneath the tree. He closed his eyes and sighed, "One down, way too many more to go."

The trio were joined by a fourth trainer, another male who was older than herself and Rex. Maybe the same age as Kenneth? Looking at him she saw a orange pokemon with black stripes and a cream tuft of fur on its chest and head. She had to think for a moment before remembering what the Pokemon was. A Growlithe and the unevolved stage of Arcanine. "Feel free," she said to the new stranger who had come upon them as she stood and bent to pick up her backpack before putting it on. If she stayed in Pallet then she might never go on her journey. No time like the present, she thought to herself as she looked down at Charmander. "Ready to go Charmander?"

"Charmander!"

"Okay," she said to her partner. A mixture of nervousness and excitement shone on her face and tumbled around in her stomach as she looked at Route 1. Turning, she waved goodbye to the group before taking her first step onto her dream and hopefully a fun adventure. Perhaps one day she might meet up with the three again but for now, she was looking to the difficult path ahead. @Cosmo @ChazGhost @Scrubnoppon

When the man with the camera came over Rex shrugged and said "I have no problem with it". But Gastly on the other hand had a wicked grin on his face like he was planning got something. Rex sighed and returned Gastly to the poke ball. I prefer not to make other trainers mad at me... yet... and besides me and Gastly need to figure out what pranks are are and what onces are too dangerous... Rex thought to himself as Iris left.

Rex shrugged and looked down at the guy laying on the bench. "Kenneth right? How about we travel together, safety in number and such" Rex said. Also it would be good to travel with someone who can talk back and I can understand what they are saying... Rex thought to himself.

@Cosmo @Scrubnoppon

"Great! Thank you!" Warren Gestured for arkinine to sit next to him. He turned on his camera, which played a little jingle. He spent a good 30 seconds adjusting his angle.

He finally pressed the red record button. His camera made a "beep!" Noise.

"Route one huh?" Warren scanned the area with his camera. Taking in every detail.

He was recording for a good 2 minutes. He then pressed the red record button again with another "beep!" Noise.

"NIIIICE! This will work perfectly."

Warren look over to the the others, who were talking about traveling together.

"Id be fine with joining you guys, if you'd like. Besides, it's more fun to record when there were people around. And I'm sure growlithe won't mind."

"Don't know if it is weird or not, but I know I thought it was," Kenneth said about the whole, 'Hold still while I scan you,' moment. A coordinator and trainer? Jez, she was an overachiever. That even sounded exhausting. The other, Rex, was going all the way to the League. Well, if he was going to mooch off of anyone, at least it looked like he would be mooching off of people with dreams which was good and bad. The good being they were probably halfway decent at this, or would be, as it were, the bad that they may try and 'motivate' him.

Kenneth opened his mouth but closed it when another person showed up, looked more his age then the other two, and started filming the route... "Be sure to get the grass. And the bench... all the sights that aren't here," Kenneth added helpfully.

Well, there goes his plan to mooch off the duo, Kenneth mused as Iris took her leave. Didn't blame her. Someone in their group was a beacon to the other new trainers, it seemed, or maybe it was the bench? Kenneth glanced down to the polished wood surface beneath him, it did feel magical. At least in terms of lumbar support.

Kenneth's eyes shot up to Rex when he offered to travel with him, "Sounds good to me!" he said, shooting him a friendly thumbs up... Don't over sell it boy-oh, he warned himself. He barely had time to register what the new duo, camera man and dog boy, was saying before it clicked, he was joining too, in the end, he did get two people to mooch off of! Things were coming up Kenneth, "The more the merrier."

But... if they joined him that meant... it was time to go. Kenneth took a deep breath and prepared his body for the trip ahead, "Kie-Uh!" The impatient squeak slipping forth as Sandy climbed back into the open pocket of his backpack, but not before digging her nails into his shoulder to let him know she was tired of waiting, "Don't rush me," Kenneth warned over his shoulder at the rodent.

"So, lets get going then. On the pokemon adventure and what not," Kenneth said as he stood and started down the path Iris had left on earlier, "The roads don't walk themselves... unfortunately... so what town is next anyways?"

"Is this all you wanted me to bring here?" Dayton said, his appearence being completelly obscured by the ammount of boxes the kid was carrying as he was waiting for a reply from inside the flower shop.

"Yes, that's all." his grandmother said as she opened the door picking one of the boxes up, revealling the kids face as he smiled, slightly shaking from the weight, "Thanks for the help, Dayton." the old woman said with a sweet smile, continuing to take the boxes off the kid's hands until he was relieved from all the weight and could finnaly enter the shop, and as soon as he entered, a fresh aroma welcomed him from inside as he was greeted by a small purple raddish which excitedly yelled "Oddish!".

With this Dayton crouched and hugged the oddish, "Did you helped around the house, Bella?" he said, knowing that the source of such scent was her doing. "Well, she need's to entertain herself when her trainer is not around." his grandmother said while opening the boxes which were filled to the brim with various berries, "I still don't understand why do you keep insisting to keep Bella in the shop while you're off." she continued. Just hearing those words made Dayton freeze in terror "Uh...I-I just think t-that Bella preffers to... help around the house...besides, she is actually making a-a good job, d-dont you think, Bella?" the oddish pouted and let herself fall from Dayton's hands, walking away.

Her grandmother sighed "You really need to surpass that phobia of yours..." she said, walking towards the kid as he was getting up and giving him a sheet of paper "...well, if you wan't to keep doing our chores I'm not stopping you. Just take Bella with you on this one, ok?" Dayton took the sheet of paper and looked at Bella, sighing "Ok..." with this, the oddish jumped in excitement and tossed himself to Dayton's arms, almost making the kid dropping his own pokemon due to this sudden action "Excellent, then you should problably take this too." the old woman grabbed a backpack and put it on Dayton's back, kissing the kid on his forehead and letting him leave the shop. As Dayton waved her grandmother goodbye he was sure that she had a widder smile than usual, as if she had finnaly plotted something to make him go on an adventure. He shrugged and continued walking, opening the sheet of paper to see what the chore was, and with that, Dayton finnaly got why his grandmother acted that way.

In the sheet of paper was a rather simple request for some, but for Dayton, it was all his nightmares combined:

I'm sure the Elite Four wouldn't mind giving off a nice souvenir to someone that could defeat them. Be sure to bring it back to our shop. And don't forget the gym Badges, I'm sure they can spark a good conversation topic between customers.

Everything you need is on the backpack that I gave you, so no excuses about having forgotten about something.

Tell us some stories about it once you get back,

Mary Anderson.

Dayton read the note countless times, making sure it was just his imagination, dear Arceus he hope it was just his imagination. He was frozen in place, only moving his eyes towards Bella, who was rather pleased about herself, jumping and shouting in excitement. "Y-you knew about this... didn't you?" the kid stuttered as Bella continued her little "victory dance". "I-I should have k-known..." he said to himself, as he looked at Viridian's entrance to route 1, completelly perplexed. He couldn't believe this was finnaly happening.

Tokorev had drifted off under the tree but was awoken by the sound of children talking nearby. "Damn kids waking me up..." He muttered and glanced over to look in the direction of the voices. He noticed a small girl walking along the road towards him. "Ugh. I'm tired. Can't they be noisy somewhere else?" He stood up and dusted himself off. "I guess I'll have to find somewhere else to rest." He released his Pinsir again. "Ready to fly yet?" He asked.

The pokemon shook its head and mimed falling asleep. Tokorev sighed and shrugged his shoulders.
"Okay bud. I guess I can wait a little bit for you to rest." He smiled at Pinsir. The first pokemon he ever owned. People may call him a hardass to his grunts, but to his pokemon Tokorev couldn't be kinder. He loved pokemon and never mistreated them.

He sat down next to Pinsir who had already leaned itself up against the tree he was sitting under before. He glanced over at the children talking in Pallet town again and thought to himself,
"The sooner we leave route one the sooner I can sleep"

Charmander walked beside his master, a river running on their left, trees growing on a hill on their right. The sky was blue, the breeze was cool and gentle, the trees swaying in the breeze. Most of Kanto was made up of forests and plains, though there was access to the sea from Pallet Town and the Seafoam Islands and mountains mainly in the northern and western parts of the region. There was a large bay in the middle of Kanto that opened up to the sea as well but she had never been there before. Well...now she would visit lots of place. Walking along the route, she saw someone up ahead with a Pokemon but couldn't tell what it was from a distance, an adult or older teenager probably. Was she the youngest beginning her journey? It seemed like it which made her feel a bit out of place.

Removing Charmander's poke ball, she pointed it at her partner, recalling him back before putting it at her waist with her five other poke balls. She should probably catch a Pokemon soon, the question was which one. A water or grass type would help her with the Pewter City Gym but a water pokemon sounded like it might work better in a contest with Charmander. So a Water-Type was her best bet type wise. As she passed the person in the distance, she glanced to her side, just to see what type of Pokemon he had with him, making a note to look the Pokemon up later on her Pokedex. She nodded to the trainer as she passed him, being too shy to say anything, especially after her apparent disaster with scanning Kenneth's Sandshrew. @Ahara

Tokorev glanced at the girl who he noticed earlier to see her nod at him and take a long look at his Pinsir. "I wonder...did she see me take down Articuno? That would not be good. I should be more discreet next time." He decided better safe than sorry. He stood up and raised his hand, "You there. Young girl! Can I ask you a quick question?"

He thought about what he might have to do if she had seen him take down the legendary bird. He couldn't have a witness who had also seen his face just walking around.

Rex smiled at the two trainers infront of him. Well looks like I won't go crazy talking to my pokemon... Rex thought to himself. "The next town is Viridian I believe. It just across route one." Rex said looking over route one. "It shouldn't take us long to get there" Rex added before heading into route one.
