A voice had interrupted him from his thoughts , turning around he noticed a women with long hair reaching her waist , her features were sharp and could catch eyes of many , yet her beauty was merely . . . nothing to Rakne .

Rakne slowly turned around , eyeing the women from head to toe " It seems that many know of my name . . . yet I do not yours ."

Rake's elfin advisor came rushing to his masters aid as he quickly whispered the women name in his ear .

" A wizard ? well what is it you want ? " the elf had told his master exactly who the women was yet he missed the fact that she was a queen .

Rakne turned to the elf and lifting his left finger shooed him away " Be gone "

Turing to the Wizard he eyed the staff in the women hand " What is it ? do you have business with me ? " Rakne scoffed wondering what this creature was thinking when she came to stand in front of him .

Rakne did not know many of the rulers her . . . why? simple he had much spare time and he was not going to waist it reading about these dumb creatures with no meaning .

His patience was running low as he waited for the women to answer .

When they were far enough from the king, her sister began to speak. Charlize turned to her sister, her smile growing wider as she laughed. She grew more cautions of her hands when her sister touched it. There was no blood spilling any longer yet she still didn't want her Alexandra to see. only God knew how she would react if she did. "You flatter me but I think he is too in love with himself to put me in the mix."

a young incubus spun in front of them to start a conversation. He was Handsome no doubt with his long lavished hair and Grey hues with gold iris. As her sister introduced her, she nudged a bit teasingly. She curtsied afterwards.
"Charlize, its a pleasure." She leaned towards Alex whispering in a hushed tone. "He's a incubus." She positioned herself back to her normal, elegant posture.

Alexandra backed away , she had read many books of incubus and although she was fascinated by them

she did not want to land in the hands of one. Truly this man was handsome from head to toe , yet he seemed quit frighting .

Alexandra nevertheless smiled , she was never a person to judge quickly , she took the time to know a person .

Standing next to her sister she whispered " Oh , aren't they in the red kingdom since they are a type of demon ?"

Alexandra lifted her hand and pointed to the mans thorns

" I like your horns ."

She complemented the demon clasping her hands together " I have a question I hope you don't mind me asking . . . but "

Alexandra played with her fingers " Aren't you a type of demon ? so aren't you in the Red kingdom ? Are you the king ? "

Alexandra was clueless as to which king was the ruler of what .

Looking back at her sister , alexandra truly had no idea why they were her the kingdoms did not like each other ,

most of the leaders aren't here .

A bout of hearty laughter tumbled from his mouth and into the air of the spacious hallways. The girl. So honest. So innocent. She was no more than a child. Well, in mind it seemed. There was no mistaking that she fully possessed the body of a women. He eyed the two appreciatively. "My mistake then." He said with a wink in King Gareth's direction. Cearul needed to formally introduce himself to the king soon. It would not due to appear impolite early on. After all, this was to be a three day event. He had seen King Gareth at the previous summit, but he had been accompanying his father and there was no need to meet him then.

He bowed to Queen Charlize of the humans and her handmaiden Alexandra ,
"Cearul, and likewise." He spoke politely. His father would have been proud. Many did not seem to believe that he had manners, he did, it was just rare that they reveal themselves. "Why, thank you Alexandra." She really was a sweet girl. Cearul parted his lips to answer her question, but closed them as he realized there was no need any longer. He watched as Charlize leaned in close to Alexandra and whispered in her ear. He pretended not to hear her every word. The queen was going to have to soon learn that around there, mere whispers did not ensure secrecy.

Cearul did not give any indication that he felt any sort of way as Alexandra retreated from him.
"Hm?" He prompted her to continue her question. He prepared himself for another laugh. His eyebrow raised in genuine amusement. He glanced at the Queen. Were they both clueless? He straightened his posture.

"Technically, we Incubi are demons." He began. "But of a better sort." Cearul whispered conspiratorially. "I am King Cearul of the Pink Kingdom." He told them of his title proudly. "King Rakne, is the demon king of Red."

"I had assumed he was present." King Cearul spoke with a hint of confusion. He took a long step forward to Queen Charlize and tilted his head to the side, burying it into the crook of her neck. Pulling away he hummed. "Strange. You have his stink of iron all over you, Queen."

Asrai momentarily stiffened as the King's sharp, cold eyes examined her from top to bottom. He was as frightening as the fables of demons described him to be. She was not offended that he knew not of her. She was a rational woman. The man was billions of years of age. One of, if not the, oldest beings of their land. He must have been a jaded soul. Seeing hundreds and hundreds of different kings and queens of various lands. And watching them die off in what must have been comparable to a few days time to a creature that was practically immortal.

Her guards fidgeted behind her. Each one stiff and on high alert. They waited for their signal to move into a defensive position, but their Queen warned them to stay put with an indistinct wave of her hand.

She stepped closer to him. Her light eyes staring deeply into his inky depths.
"I had assumed that all of the rulers had business to take care of with one another. Or am I wrong?" She said sarcastically. "Is that not the reason we have all congregated?"

The crystalline ball atop her scepter swirled with the colors of the elements. She curtsied, deeply. Lower than what she was used to, but it was to convey respect for the eldest King. She held out her hand for him to kiss.
"I would also like to assume, that you, King Rakne, know how to show common courtesy to the Queen of the Kingdom of Blue. Queen Asrai."

Sighing softly at Alexandra's words, she already knew she was given the impression that she was oblivious to her neighboring countries. "I apologize King Cerael on my part. She is very curious and prefers reading over politics. I figured the summit is the best way to teach her." She said her smile unwavering.

With the mentioning of King Rakne, came the prior memories of what happened before. the old man that she wanted to save to protect. At least he will finally be at rest or else he would have suffered. She force those thoughts out of her mind being caught off guard when the king buries his head on her neck. He was an incubus which might in her opinion, a lack of personal space so she didn't feel offended by it.

"King Rakne is here probably talking to another ruler. We had a bit of a...disagreement that didn't end the way I hoped. He seems rather relentless in my opinion." She said prior to looking back at Alexandra. "We were actually looking for my other ladies."

Durael was stopped halfway to the food table by a familiar sight: two royal guards. "Advisor Durael?" He lowered his head for a second, in the childish instinct that he could hide from them- an act he quickly dropped. 'Ah, of course she would send them to me...' His annoyed thoughts contradicted the polite smile he was giving the guards 'Does she just not trust me to be here alone? After all this time, you'd think she'd take a liking to me. Or, perhaps, the feeling of disesteem is mutual...'. A sigh slipped out of him, one he didn't care enough to hold in. "Ah! Company at last." His voice was light and relaxed, but not quite rid of the usual sarcasm "I was getting awfully lonely here... did her highness send you? Or did you just long to be in my presence?".

There were a few murmurs of dissent from one of the guards, but the other just laughed dryly and responded to Durael's remark directly.
"Yes, sir. Queen Asrai sent us to keep you company.". Durael nodded "I figured as much... well, besides just standing there, what exactly does 'keeping me company' entail, might I ask?". "Keeping you out of trouble, I suppose." The second guard shrugged "There are dangerous people here, advisor, and we certainly don't want to lose such a valuable man as yourself...". Durael laughed sarcastically "Indeed you don't; who else would pull you out of trouble every time y-".

"Advisor, please..." The guard said with a sigh "Like it or not, we're not exactly going to abandon you, so maybe we should just try not to argue like this.". She was met with a nod from the advisor and a scowl from her fellow guard. Durael regained his polite smile, and led the two guards to his previous spot against the back wall, where they each took a position beside him and looked out over the hall, talking to each other loudly whilst Durael stood silently rotting in his discomfort between them.

'Damn this!'
The only insight into his thoughts was the look of pure ice that had suddenly filled his eyes 'Is there anything I can do to avoid being harassed in this way!?'. He glanced around the hall, scowling inwardly 'A social gathering, this is a social gathering. Such a situation is inevitable, there's nothing I can really do about it.'. He was slowly becoming more irritable by the second.

Alexandra was baffled her hand gentle slide up , she placed it onto her cheek

she curtsied quickly and in a panic although , it was panicked it held elegance , and poise .

Alexandra stood up straight , lifting her hand she placed it onto her chest , her diamond necklace chimmed , as it touched the fair hand of Alexandra . " Your majesty I had no Idea forgive this unworthy presence ."

Her sister had taken over , handling every thing like the queen she was , it was amazing , Alexandra had admired her sister for so long . She was independent , bold, daring and above all held the kindness unlike any other .

Charlize comment , had attracted Alexandra she slowly turned her face sword her sister

drawing loser she whispered " Sister . . . I thought you said knowledge is good ? "

The king had said that her sister had the stink of a man , Alexandra leaned in closer to her sister and sniffed

" She smells like flowers . " Alexandra smiled at her sister , trying to comfort her , not knowing what the king had actually meant.

Alexandr gasped her hand jolted up to cover her open mouth as Charlize mentioned Court lady Eloise and the other to women.

" Sister , we must find them , I am worried for their safety . Surely they are in some dangerous place , starving . "

Tears were forming in Alexandras eyes as she held her sister upper arm shaking it lightly.

" Just like in one of my book . We need to find them ."

Rakne had witnessed the uneasiness of the guards/people accompanying their queen , Rakne scoffed could the ruler be this weak as to

be accompanied by so many . Rakne was irrupted with the women questions and as he fixed his fur coat he looked her in the eyes as she had done .

" I did not wish to come here . " Rakne sharply glared at the women , trying his best to not walk away

he brushed his hair to the side . His scar visible and now showing . " I have come her many times its all the same , its pathetic really ."

It was as if the rulers had nothing better to do then throw parties and use an excuse to throw it .

He turned his face from the women and her crate ball , he did not like bright lights .

The worst about this party was how many lights there were , the person who had thrown it . . .truly is an idiot.

as she was looking of to the side he heard his name of in the distance , Rakne's thought had been interrupted by a small hand infront of his face.

Looking down at the owner , it was that same women as she said her name, questioning him if he knew how to properly greet , Rakne clicked his tongue his eyes became dead cold turning red " Courtesy . . . to a Queen like you . I show no courtesy nor will I touch that disgusting hand of your , Remove it or I will Remove it myself . " Rakne eyes became a crimson red , if looks would kill this had to be one of them Rakne hated being her , dealing with every country was a pain .

Asrai watched in a mixture of intrigue and fear as Rakne's eyes shifted in color. Once it was as deep and dark as the sky of a new moon. Then, it was awash with blood red. Like the swirling flames of an inferno. She steeled herself. She clenched her hand into a fist and pulled it close to her chest, she was taken aback. How could he have been so rude. She narrowed her sharp eyes into a glare. "A Queen like me?" She scoffed and harshly struck her staff to the tiled floor. A dull thud resounded through the halls. "You should consider it an honor that I have shown you even an inkling of respect. After all, the blood of a demon is the lowest and filthiest blood in the land." She sneered at him.

She spun around on the ball of her foot,
"I wish you would." She taunted. Queen Asrai would be damned if he ever knew of the slight fear that had coursed through her in that minute. Her pride, the pride of her people would not allow it. Her hair flipped over her shoulder and brushed just an inch from the King's face, an action done on purpose. She cued for her guards to follow her. Down the hallway she called out, "I will see you at dinner. Hopefully by then you will have learned some manners."

Asrai cursed herself. What a foolish idea. What was she even thinking about going to him with a plan for an alliance. He was insolent. A fool. No different than a common demon other than his additional brawns. She exhaled loudly through her nose. She needed to find her advisor.

Where was Durael? She was going to have him keep an eye on that infernal monster.

Cearul smiled lightly. So he had been correct, Rakne was somewhere around there.
"Worry not Charlize." He assured her. "The man is quite vicious. He only knows how to make enemies." He chuckled and added as an afterthought, "At least, that is what I have always heard."

"Oh? You have lost your other handmaidens?" He questioned. "Well, it is somewhat easy to do here in Gareth's maze of a home." Cearul watched full of mirth, Alexandra's emotional antics. She was quite a card. "Allow me to assist you two in your search." He offered. King Cearul took Alexandra's arm and gestured down the hallway. "In return for my help, I only ask that you save me a dance. Now, lead the way!"

Rakne eyed the women his emotionless eyes returned back to their normal dark state . Rakne growled under his breath ,

about to lung at the women he was stopped , a hand had forcefully pulled him .

Rakne quickly pushed the hand aside and turing the plan hand was attached to. . . Elandorr his advisor was standing there regretting his actions . Rakne glared at the man Elandorr quickly spoke stumbling through his sentence

" My lord I had to stop you , you . . . you truly have become stronger you are the eldest and the most powerful of all Kingdoms but if you do not control your temper ." Elandorr paused looking down " Those rulers might all attack you joining an alliance . "

Rakne calmed down looking of into the distance , he had known this , it was simple .

' Making an alliance with one kingdom would be great but the king , he would never unless someone offered or he was driven '

Elandorr thought as he stared at one of the rulers . " My lord if I may ? "

Elandorr looked up Rakne signaled with his hand for his advisor to speak " My king , what if I asked one of the rulers . "

Rakne grabbed Elandorr by the collar " Never say that , I will not go as low as to ask anyone . "

Rakne let go of the advisor ,

" My Kingdom needs no help , It was my parents fault that we are known as weak , I know where I USED to stand .

The past might not be forgotten but my Kingdom has become stronger the day I sat on that thrown ,

I will easily destroy all 5 kingdoms and take them as my own . . . but I will not do that unless I am drivin ,

Who ever is willing to make an alliance with my Kingdom , all they must do is ask , I will welcome them with open arms .

Just as I have done in the past , and I will continue to do . "

The King said this with a clenched fist Elandorr smiled " My Lord - " Rakne pushed his advisor aside

" It's not what your thinking . " Rakne began wondering around the grounds of the marvelous excessively large palace.

Alexandra was hesitant in allowing the king to take her hand , nevertheless she submitted

" Thank you for your help your majesty , me and my sister would gladly save you a dance . "

Alexandra said smiling , then shrugged at the kings outburst " We don't know where the way is ."

Alexandra looked back at her sister " That's why I had thought my sister would know the way ."

Looking up at the King , staring at him for a few second , Alexandra's face lit up , like the chandlers that had been hanging from

the decorative ceiling . Alexandra lifted up her free hand and cupped the hand of the king that had been holding hers .

Lifting up the cupped hand her face turned to a light smile " Your Majesty , your a demon . . . so you have increased senses ."

Alexandra bit her red bright lips before speaking

" I remember in one of my books that Demons can smell humans ,

can you try to find the court ladys with just senses ? "

Thank you, that would be swell. She said as the incubus took her sister's hand and asked for a dance. She was actually thankful. She only a couple of steps behind them, much like she was supervising though she did seem interested to find her ladies in waiting.she didn't say much since he sister was doing that for her.

She didn't want to say anything that could toy with Alex's emotions since she was already sensitive from the lost of her fellow maidens. She began to drift off in her own thoughts. Something she haven't had the chance to do in a while.

Durael's indignation had steadily grown since the guards' arrival, and he was finding it hard to remain standing in between them. Whilst it was impossible for him to find peace in the crowded hall, being surrounded by two loud soldiers was hardly the best situation. Their conversation, from what he bothered to listen to, seemed painfully shallow: which noble girl was the most beautiful, how nice the curtains were around here, the taste of the food, the differences between this place and the palace back in their own kingdom... this was supposed to be a political gathering, not a showcase of wealth. But, then again, it's not like the green kingdom would know any better...

It must've been a rather odd sight for onlookers: an armed and uniformed man, forcing a smile as he was covered on both sides by armed and uniformed guards, none of them looking quite rich enough to warrant all of that protection. The cold glare that had found its way into Durael's resting expression didn't really help things either. He looked around the hall again, doing the job the guards were supposed to be doing and looking out for any possible signs of danger. Amongst the crowds of people, he finally spotted Queen Asrai walking away from a rather oddly dressed man.

He smirked a little, turning to one of the guards and saying "Well, I had better go and do what I am paid to. You stay here and try not to get in trouble, alright?". The guard to his left frowned at him, walking immediately to his side "Advisor, we're not going to just leave you alone. If her highness wishes to dismiss us, she will say so when we are present.". Durael nodded, gesturing to the other guard to join them. "Very well." He said calmly "Orders are orders, no matter how ill-advised. I see no point in arguing.".

The group slowly made their way through the hall, pushing past guests with...
varying degrees of politeness, until they finally reached the Queen. Durael smiled at her in as polite a way as he could manage, noticing the look of slight distress on her face. This was concerning; despite seeming fairly innocent on the surface, there really weren't many people who could truly shake her, or so she had led her people to believe. Whoever... whatever had her concerned would likely be enough to concern Durael as well.

Despite this, he didn't address her with much sincerity.

"Ah, your highness! Are you having fun?" His expression was exaggerated, his voice sounding too happy to be genuine "So, did anything interesting happen in my absence? An alliance perhaps, or a trade negotiation, or... oh! Perhaps you found a suitor already!".

Cearul guffawed. Of course. How mindless of him. The two were looking for the women at that very moment. Abruptly, Alexandra stared up at his face and he looked down at her's. He smirked at the way her already bright features lit up even more. In his mind, Cearul could not really describe the sight eloquently. Though, he did his best. He thought. . . He compared it to. . . An already bright day, that seems to become blinding when the sun decides to emerge from behind the light cloud it was hidden behind.

It was distracting, but Cearul did not mind at the moment. He would admit, shamelessly so, that he wanted her. His golden eyes were drawn to red of her lips. Watching as she bit the lower one and the blood pooled beneath it, making it even more unadulterated.

King Cearul hardly registered the question she asked. He shook his head lightly to gather his thoughts and gave her his most charming smile.
"For you?" He breathed. Lifting her small and tender hands that clasped around his own, he pressed his lips to them. "I won't even need to try." Cearul grinned. His sharp canines peaking out from his lips. "All of us will be back before dinner." He swore.

The more Asrai recounted the encounter, the harder it was for her to keep a neutral face. She tightened her grip on the skirt of her dress. Her steps were quick. The heels of her shoes clacked deafeningly on the tiled floor. At least, that is what it felt like. Logically, she knew no one could hear anything over the music. Suddenly, she was feeling very constricted. The noise was overwhelming. Her corset was choking her. The conglomerate of breath and perfumes and food and sweat mixed inharmoniously and suffocated her.

Her three guards shadowed her in concern. Their Queen had yet to say anything. King Rakne was not pursuing them, though they doubted he would dare do so at the triannual peace summit. So, they were confused as to why the aura she permeated had that hint of angst. It was small, but noticeable to those trained. She looked no different in their eyes though. Except for her quickening pace and the furrow in her brow.

"Que-"

"Bring me a chair." She breathed with a wave of her hand. Immediately one rushed into crowd of people to find what she desired. Asrai straightened her posture and took deep, even breaths to pacify herself.

She heard him first. The clear and degrading tone of his voice was recognizable anywhere.
"Quiet! I will not stand for this so publicly!" She hissed in anger. The guards stared at her in surprise. Never had they even heard emotion in her voice. Especially not something so heated. The guard returned holding a cushioned chair and looked at the scene in confusion. He set it down next to the wall and Queen Asrai settled into it. She avoided the eyes of her guards, "Forgive my outburst." She said through gritted teeth. Though it was said as if it was directed to the entire party, it was but for one. He knew who he was. "Leave us." She ordered, the flat affect back in her speech, "Keep us in your sight and stay vigil."

Despite being hesitant to leave them, the royal guards did as she instructed. Within a minute it was just the Queen and her trusted advisor.

Asrai stared past him and lay her scepter across her lap.
"How imperative is it that we form an alliance with one of these people? Our country has not bore witness to war in over a century and a half. We have kept amicable relations with most countries without any need for a formal treaty out of our mere decency. " She asked Durael. She needed to be reminded of the reason why she was subjecting herself to this less than standard treatment.

Alexandra's cheeks flushed a crimson red , her head slowly going down to hide her flushed face. Supriseded at the Kings suddenly placing his soft lips on her hands , for no man had an will to touch her , and why would he ?

Once she regained her self , lifting her head " Then kind sir I shall trust you ." Alexandra lifted her gaze from the king

and looked down at her hands . They were burning , as if they had been set on fire , she smiled wryly and pulled her hands from the kings grip. Looking up at him she smiled allowing her pure white teeth to a show .

Looking back at her sister " Your Highness , did you hear we will surely find your ladies . "

Turning back to the king she tilted her head " Sorry to say , your highness , but do you know where they could be now ? "

her voice held concern and worry as she spoke , Alexandra lifted her feminine arm and slowly removed the strands of hair that had fallen on to eyelashes .

Durael was somewhat taken aback by Asrai's sudden show of anger, so much so that his own smile had faltered for a second. That was, however, about the only display of emotion he made, and it didn't really affect his mindset at all. He was about to say something in response, but quickly checked himself. This clearly was not the time. Asrai looked nervous, more nervous than he could remember seeing her before. Slowly, his smile died down until he was looking at the Queen with a blank, serious expression. He listened to her speak.

"Imperative?" Durael paused for a moment, thinking more closely about the prospect of war. It would be devastating, that's for sure, but if their army could defeat another, and doing so under his command... He cleared his throat sharply, dismissing the thought as soon as it entered his mind. This was a meeting of peace, after all. He would have to keep his derranged fantasies somewhere else for the time being.

"Well, it would be awfully
nice if we didn't invoke the wrath of the lesser kingdoms, but that's not to say it would be catastrophic if we somehow did. With the current state of our military, I doubt that any skirmishes would evolve into anything larger and, even if they did, we're certainly not unprepared for war.". His voice was a quiet monotone, trying not to let anyone else hear about these affairs besides Asrai.

Paranoia, of course.

After a slight pause, he spoke again.
"Why are you asking me this, by the way?" The curiosity in his voice sounded half-genuine, but was overshadowed by the dread of whatever Asrai was going to ask him to do next "Are your current negotiations going awry already?".

Queen Asrai looked everywhere but at the face of Durael. She gazed upon the intricate and vast design of King Gareth's castle. Everything he possessed was laced with beauty. She watched the noblemen and women chatter about aimlessly. Hollow laughter permeated the air and they gently swayed to the rhythm of the music. She slightly adjusted herself in her seat so as not to be sitting on top of her hair. This was one of the many reasons she kept it corralled in a braid. She spotted her guards meandering about the room and halls. None were able to discern their conversation. Good. No need to be involved in what does not concern them.

She nodded solemnly at her advisor's words. Pondering over the truths that he spoke. Asrai did not consider herself to be the sort that was quick to make enemies. Or friends for that matter. Though, neutral relationships were not at all bad. Even if the worst case scenario were to occur, she had the utmost of faith in her country's success. Her army was made of the world's best sorcerers. She knew what devastating power they had at their fingertips.

As Durael began to question her, she kept her composure. Well tried to at least. She could not hide the rhythmic tapping of her fingers. She remained silent and he asked another. She pondered carefully over her words before speaking,
"Not exactly. . ." She began slowly, deliberately. "I was not given the chance to begin negotiations before problems arose. . ." Asrai trailed off. She did not want Durael to know of the altercation. He would be sure to point out how she was also in the wrong. How she could have performed better in that situation and so on and so forth.

Asrai continued after much thought, in a reluctant manner.
"Durael, I need you to observe King Rakne over the course of the summit." She swallowed and tried not to contort her face at the thought of that demon. "I do not believe him to be a suitable candidate for a prospective alliance, but I will admit I have a sort of bias against him."

The Queen looked deeply into Durael's eyes. Judging him harshly. Weighing his competence. She hated having to place such a task upon his shoulders, when they would have rightly fallen onto her own. Rakne made her feel weak. Even now.
"If you, after deep survelliance, feel otherwise, I will pursue a possible coalition with him."

••••••••••

"Oh, yes. Of course. Let me find them for you." He told her with a airy chuckle. King Cearul stretched his arms over his head. Rolled his shoulders. His sharp nose lifted into the air and his eyelids shut out the bright lights of the chandeliers. His focus intensified.

Cearul inhaled deeply. The sweet earthy smell of the human girls behind him, he noted and then blocked out. He supposed the other handmaidens would carry a similar scent. The smell of sharp colognes and perfumes assaulted his nostrils, but he pushed past it. He was used to its abrasiveness. It was typical of noble people all over, and when one is king they grow accustomed to things of that sort. The perspiration was heavy, but had that cool, damp smell.

His brow furrowed as he did his best to locate the misplaced humans. When he finally caught a hint of it, his eyes popped open.
"Found them!" He exclaimed. Grabbing a hold of Alexandra's hand, he dragged her behind him in his haste. "Queen Charlize, do not get left behind." He called out. Casting a quick glance backwards, he caught her eye. The Queen had many handmaidens. Surely she would not mind if he kept just this one.

The demon had agreed to help , Alexandra was relived sighing as she did The king did something very unusual Alexandra

had thought that is was apart of his powers , it fascinated her so question after question clouded her hear .

Looking back to her sister she smiled , this was a smile of assurance that they will find the ladies , who always have bothered

Alexandra , maybe even hated her , yet Alexandra felt they were apart of the family and loved them just as much as any other.

The king had suddenly turned around the words that had come out of his lips , lightened not only Alexandra's face but heart too.

Her hand was then grabbed " Are they alright ? " Alexandra said as the demon turned his head around to talk to her sister

she thought this act was dangerous he could bump into some one

" Your Highness be careful ." saying this she stopped and looked back at her sister than contuied nodding her head in agreement as if she came to a conclusion " Besides my sister is the fastest person in the planet , physically and mental . "

she praised her sister , it was a common thing she did , spending most of her time with her sister how could she not .

Durael nodded idly as Asrai spoke, ignoring the fact that his posture had gradually stiffened throughout her words. He seemed to be staring at her out of habit, although he didn't notice at first; his calm, brown eyes perfectly focused on her bright cyan ones, staying completely still in a way that most would find unnerving. It was only when he realised she was staring back that he averted his gaze, secretly feeling nervous about the judgement he knew the Queen was giving him.

'Of course...' He thought, tapping his foot against the floor in a slow, regular rhythm 'I have to babysit the demon king. The man's too powerful for his own good, from what I've heard. There's no way in hell I'm going to be able to keep myself together and be polite to that bastard... still, a few words won't bring down our kingdom. I'm sure I'll have enough self-control to walk away should things go badly...'.

The advisor cleared his throat, trying (however helplessly) to hide his discontent.
"Of course, your highness." He smirked a little "I will try not to hold the same bias as you, since I believe that may have been the cause of whatever problems you spoke of. I will greet this gentleman, make idle conversation to see if he's even civilised enough to handle that, then watch from a distance for the remainder of the summit, seeing how he interacts with the other kingdoms to see whether the bias you have is mutual.".

Despite his air of confidence, Durael was somewhat dreading the encounter. He may be arrogant, but he wasn't stupid: he could never survive the wrath of the demon king in his unprepared state, the man was just too powerful. He was going to have to be careful with this one. "Alright, then." He nodded once more "Have you any messages you would like me to relay to him?"
