Mae Collins awoke to the sun streaming in to her room. She heard activity in the rest of the house and immediately got up, realizing she had slept in late. She quickly got dressed and put her hair up and glasses on. Opening the door, she took a breath and prepared to join the world. Not that she was afraid, just knowing she'd probably be bombarded with problems and needed to be prepared to take care of them head on.

Quinn hefted herself off the couch when she noticed Mae exit her room. The girl had slept late, she could tell. "Have a good nights sleep, did you?" She asked, shoving her hands in her pockets. The patter of little footsteps could be heard all over the house, along with some heavier slower ones. "Everyone is running around, I'm not very good at this order stuff. I'm the chill one."

Whit was snoring gently in the library, a book laying open on her belly. She had stayed up late the previous might reading and had fallen asleep in the middle of a book. Her hair hung over her face as her mouth hung open.

Jennifer woke up in her little bed in the toddler area, she knew the routine and she grabbed some of her clothes and ran into the bathroom, changing as fast as she could. She ran out the door, her little feet pattering across the floor, and she wanted to say good morning to her 'mommy' as she called Mae. "Mommy?" She said looking for Mae.

Quinn heard Jenny's voice and she smiled,"I think someone is looking for you." She told Mae, turning to find the origin of the little girls voice."Jenny, she's over here honey."

"Sorry Quinn. You know I'm not used to sleeping so late. What's happened so far?"

She heard the little voice but wasn't as quick as Quinn. So she just waited for Jenny to enter the room, prepared to drop to one knee.

Jennifer saw Quinn and heard Mae, "Yay! Thwanks Qwin" she said as she hugged Quinn and then ran to Mae. "Gwood morwing mommy" she said in her cute little voice, as she hugged Mae, well her knees at least. "How awe you?" She asked politely and with a smile, "I bwote (brought) you this" she said before handing Mae a slightly beat up rose. She hid the fact that to get the Rose, she was scratched by the thorns and that her arm had scratches but she thought it was worth it.

Quinn smiled at the little girl,"Your welcome." Looking back to Mae she scratched the back of her head,"As for your question, nothing really, I think Whit is asleep in the library, and everyone else is either asleep or running around." Quinn shrugged, she'd just been sitting on the couch, tired from the sleepless night before.

Mae dropped to one knee.

"Oh, it's beautiful, little one."

She took it with a smile, removed the thorns, and put it in her hair over her ear. Then saw the scratches on Jenny's arm.

"Oh, honey; let's get these scratches cleaned and treated."

Mae stood and took the girl's hand. Just before leading her to the bathroom, she looked over at Quinn and said

"Thanks for the update."

She took Jenny to the bathroom and had her sit up on the counter. Grabbing a rag, she wet it and gently started cleaning the scratches. To distract Jenny from probable pain, Mae engaged her in conversation.

"How did you sleep last night?"

Whit shifted in her sleep and the book slipped of her belly, hitting the floor hard. She jumped up and squeaked, her eyes wide and her hair in a tangled mess. The book on the floor caught her eyes and she breathed in relief. Sitting up, whit looked around and smiled. Quickly the picked up the book and set one of her many book marks in it, before quickly putting back the stack of books she also resd the day before.

After she was done neatening up, Whit stumbled slightly sleepily to find Mae and Quinn. She was hungry and needed some breakfast. Hopefully some was ready.

Mhm." Quinn hummed as Mae walked off to clean Jenny up. Plopping herself back down on the couch, the teenager threw an arm over her eyes. She needed sleep. "Stupid sleeping problems keep me up all night." She mumbled to herself.

Jennifer winced at the pain of the scratches, she had a small pout and her bottom lip quivered slightly. "I'm sowwy" she said, Jennifer knew she was distracting Mae from possibly doing work around the place and she felt bad for having distracted her. "I just want give pretty flower to pretty mommy" she said tearing up she thought Mae was going to yell at her for getting the Rose. @DragonFangs

(Why wasn't I alerted that this had started? :( )

(Okay.)

Max walked up to Jennifer, and, out of nowhere, hugged her. "It oky," he told her, comforting her. It had been awhile since Max saw Jennifer get upset. Luckily, he knew what to do, most of the time.

Jennifer was on the verge of tears until she felt someone was hugging her from behind. She gasped as she got sneak attacked with a hug, then she realized it was Max and she smiled, "Hewwo! (Hello)" she said. She was still upset about the scratches and she thought Mae was mad at her, but he always knew how to cheer her up.

"Jenny, you don't have to apologize. You did nothing wrong. I promise."

Luckily before Max had shown up, she had finished with Jenny's scratches. She pat Jenny on the head and, feeling as though she were now not needed, left the two.

Louis sat down on a chair, reading. He watched as the smaller children played and smiled a little. He sighed and continued reading happily.

Whit wandered around, looking for Louie. "Loouuiiiee?" She called. "Have we had breakfast yet or did I wake up in time?" She searched different rooms, looking for the fatherlike figure. @solicitude

Whit jumped at the sound of his voice. But quickly turned and smiled. "Good because I'm famished." She said dramatically, dragging her feet on the floor. "I spent all last night reading a book about different dimensions!" @solicitude

He smiled. "Well, maybe we should start going to bed a little earlier, shouldn't we?" He said teasingly.

"That has nothing to do with hunger!" Whit protested. "I was just adding it in as an afterthought." She crossed her arms and frowned.

Quinn's stomach rumbled, I need food. She hefted herself off the couch with a groan, making her way to the kitchen and searching the cabinets. "Cereal, cereal. Where is the damn cereal?" She asked no one in particular.
