No, no, I'm sure humans curse others to death all the time~The question is how many would actually call the name 'Azani' considering she doesn't even have a shrine? Rika has never even heard of such a goddess 😏

lol, but i'm mostly teasing =P God players can make their own lore about why they're alive and I have no intention of killing players without their consent.

I don't think god memories of each other count as a lifeline tho, otherwise Yato wouldn't have to work at all. Tenjin/Bisha/Kofuku could remember him for an eternity.

i think there would be tons and mark would keep people loyal, as given what she is a goddess of no shrine or priests would last long and all followers would be jailed, so not having those things outside of secret followers is paradoxically beneficial.

i tend to take yato vanishing as because he is human born and would have no family story, Azani has that anchor she should be a well known if not well liked goddess

Interesting theory. What makes you think so?
Simply his reputation among other gods and his prolific activity. He seems to have been like a Grim servant of Death during Sengoku Jidai and perhaps both before and later. He would surely spawn some legends.

A cult, huh? Pretty sure Heaven looks down on cults 😏 Lol, but I concede they wouldn't be much of target for AFAH if they are in hiding.

I don't know about "well liked". She's about to kill one of Rika and Ryotaro's teachers so if anything she'd attract nothing but animosity from my honorable human char

Well more her followers have to stay secret as they called her to kill and hiring a hit man is oddly frowned upon in society

As for the characters liking her I was taking about genrsl public

It may also come from my readings of several conversations Yato has with his father. Particularly because when he tries to convince Yato that he is the only follower Yato needs because all the others will forget it comes off as if he has something to do with that.

Haha, given the type of goddess she's supposed to be, I doubt the general public would "like" her either. Fear her maybe~ Gods of calamities are popular during times of war, but not so much in peace.

Makes sense

Makes sense
Yeah thats about right they fear her and would hate her followers.

Thats kind of why no shrines or priests she is feared abd her followers would be killers, but there would and will always be those willing to maje a deal

Shinto religion has 8 million gods or something like that. If Yatogami did spur some legend, it's probably buried under many others. But I do agree that he was popular enough for a regalia of Bisha to request his help, so he couldn't have been that unknown...at least in his glory days^^ The problem would be the changing eras. I'm guessing not many that used his help would pass the knowledge of their dirty deals with him down to future generations.

I can see Yato's father as the type bullsh*t him to keep him to keep Yato tied to him though. His father made him through a wish, so if the man wished for Yato to be an obscure culler of the herd, it's very possible that his forgettable-ness is just a trait of his...but there's really no way to know for certain and basically one of our few examples of shrineless gods so I must use him as one of the templates for Noragami gods sadly.

Mhm pretty much. We don't know for sure.

I still don't like father and all his godly powers really it seems the only diffrence between him and gods is he has none of their down sides

Same here. I'd much prefer if he was just a regular mortal who stayed alive by drinking an immortality potion or something. I also prefer him to stay mysterious. And he shouldn't be able to use a Regalia.

Also don't like his personality oh i hate tge gods because they didn't treat me special abd bend to my whims. Yet he is also a complete psychopath with no trace of empathy or love for humans so you have to wonder if he even loved the woman or just wanted an excuse yo hate gods

I think he is just a psycho who views himself as the one true God and the woman is just his excuse. Or perhaps he viewed the woman as his only Equal.

It was revealed in the later chapters that he obtained his powers by traveling to the underworld and back. How he did so...is an utter mystery. I wonder if he made some sort of deal with Izanami for the 1st brush he took 😏

Regardless, Heaven seems to hate him because the fact that he's still alive is proof that humans didn't really need to fear death/gods.

Given how he expresses the view of humans are puppets and gods are lowly this sounds true

As for the brush he likely gray stue stole it and walked out laughing

He was soul called out. Escaping Izanami's grip isn't that easy

Lol, I can't say I like his personality, but I do appreciate the interesting foil he makes. He calls himself human, but, other than occupying a human body, I very much doubt is one...at least not anymore. The revelation that Nora is a actually was actually a named phantom the entire time took me for a spin.

No one but a psychopath does the things he does. Or maybe a sociopath. I always get the two confused =/

My next post will probably either be a Kami_X one or an SSA one...

..or I could slip back in time to interact with some of the other characters in their slice of life events. Choices, choices ^_^
