I wouldn't worry about attacks in a slice of life, mystery rp *cough* but if players can't decide how a battle scene ends, I tend to favor defense. As in players don't touch another players char without permission.

There are many, many interesting things happening in the background, but whether or not they take precedence depends on the players. The bright side, is that we'll never run out of arcs for this 'slice of life'^^
