Scylla and Scarlet Indigrid

Ziggy's bomb was a mistake. That much would soon become clear to the crew on board Charybdis as the beast that had been frozen by Tora's attack let out a massive roar once more, this one so violent that it sprayed not only water, but wind along with it. Waves kicked back up within the fiery sea and Charybdis began rocking quite jerkily as the whirlpool slowly reformed with the sea serpent's movements.

The wind was such that it blew Scarlet's hair back in the most unattractive fashion and she
tropical-pirates.jpg
could feel the weight of the wind pushing her backwards. Her strength only just allowed her to resist. Even through the vicious cycle that was being created, Scarlet still managed to turn her attention to Pandora who had once more brought the beautiful abs back to the forefront of her mind. "Fight him? Why would I fight him?" She seemed entirely confused by the suggestion. "Although I will slaughter the ones who insulted my crew..." Her voice wasn't quite clear with the last statement. There was a fire there, a feistiness, but in the current situation, it really didn't matter.

Suddenly, something happened that would end all conversation. The serpent had had enough of whatever the crew happened to be throwing at her. With one fell swoop of her tail, a wave rose up and slipped its way underneath the ship, washing water over the deck while simultaneously forcing the ship away from the whirlpool although where to would remain unclear for another moment. Then it was answered, just like that. Charybdis jerked to a sudden halt, sending the crew flying in many directions as the boat was forced so far up onto the sand that it wasn't going to be moving any time soon.

It was an island... a very small island from what anyone would be able to tell. And anyone peering over the deck would swiftly notice that another boat had been washed ashore as well. It was a boat that had been seen before, quite recently as a matter of fact.

Tora was glad for the sudden calm. That is until the explosions made her realize that the it wasn't going to last. She wouldn't blame Ziggy for what would happen next. She was just trying to protect the ship and crew after all. "Brace yourselves!" Tora shouted over the sound of the waves and wind caused by the monster.

Tora clasped her hands on the Charybdis' railings as she waited out the storm. Her hair swayed violently and even her chest started bouncing due to the wind from the roar. It felt like hurricane strength winds due to how close she was to the beast. "Angel, how's the ship holding...." A wave washed over the ship, causing her to breath through her gills for a couple seconds. "...up?"

Tora lurched forward as the ship was suddenly pushed away from the whirlpool and Scylla. Their ship speedily moved across the sea. As the Charybdis cut through air, Tora could still feel the wind's affect on her body. Eventually she could hear the sound of sand grinding against the ship's bottom. That couldn't be good. She tried to ready herself for a sudden stop, but was over powered by the laws of physics and was sent flying into the sandy beach below.

After recovering from the fall, Tora got up and brushed the sand off of herself. Her eyes wondered over the scenery in front of her to her companions on the beach. "Is everyone alright?" she asked. As she waited for her companions to reply, she began to wonder what was the fate of abs and his Bronze Rifle Pirates. Where they indenting to come to this island too or where they long gone?

Hearing a roar only made Johnny speed up his searching. "Come on, come on." Suddenly, he felt as if he was in suspended animation, as time seemed to slow down, then a wave came rushing in, throwing him into a box, smashing it.

His head connected with a beam, witch knocked him out, his limp body floating. His mind started to wander, memories starting to play in his head. The day at the butchery shop, the bloody knife.

His eyes shot open, as light peeked through the door. He rose up, only too see small drops of red falling from his head. He felt no pain, but the sight made him grin. After shaking his head, he saw he was almost all white. "Flour... Gotta buy that too..." Johnny looked to find his arrows, only to realise they were taken away by the watter. Panick started to settle in.

Hearing a voice outside, he exited the cargo hold trebling. "I-I'm here." His voice changed, seeming worried and almost broken. He drew close to the fishgirl.

Danny, Angel, and Ziggy

Ship Wrecked

Angel slowly blinked her eyes open where she had landed on the sand, having been caught entirely by surprise by the ship’s sudden stop and tossed from the deck. She gingerly moved her arms beneath her, pushing her face from the sand and attempting to spit out the rather annoying mouthful of it she had gotten. Angel growled slightly to herself, climbing to her feet and looking at the ship. Odds were that there was some sort of damage to it after the encounter with the serpent. But fresh memories of the smoke woman resurfaced as she caught the other ship out of the corner of her eye. With another growl Angel pivoted on her heel and began making her way towards it, stretching out her arms and popping her sore joints as she walked. Angel lifted her right arm a bit, popping her shoulder as her right fist was engulfed in flames.

Danny let go of her tight grip on the ship's rail and shook her head. She quickly gazed around, doing a headcount in her head to make sure everyone was accounted for. When she didn’t see Angel she looked out onto the beach, fearing the worst. She let out a sigh of relief when she spotted Angel, relatively unharmed, storming towards the Bronze Rifle ship that had crashed alongside them. Shit, this won’t end well. Danny quickly got up and dusted herself off.

"Is everyone alright?" Tora asked. Danny turned towards their musician gave her a reassuring smile.

“I’m okay, but I think Angel is about to do something really stupid,” Danny replied, jabbing her thumb at Angel’s retreating figure. “Could you do me a favor and find Marcus and Mairi? We need to make sure everybody’s okay but I need to go after Angel before she does anything too drastic.”

With that, Danny clambered off the ship and began jogging in order to catch up with their hot-headed shipwright.

Ziggy blinked after she was thrown by the ship. She was very grateful of the little bit of armor that she wore to protect herself. Pushing herself up she noticed the arrows that Johnathan had given her to put some of her creations on. The girl grabbed onto her long pigtails and gave them a slight tug, hoping that it wasn’t her fault that the ship was thrown. She looked around, searching for a sign that it wasn’t her fault when her eyes fell upon Danny. The woman began to walk away from her and almost as if it was instinct Ziggy began to follow her, swiping Johnathan’s arrows off the ground and shoving them as far as they would go in her pockets on the way.

Awkwardly climbing down the ship, the bomber girl slipped and fell a ways onto the sand. However, the girl didn’t miss a beat, jumping back up and following the woman she had followed so many times before.

Danny glanced behind her to see their resident demogirl trailing behind her. She had gotten used to the young girl following her like a shadow, and she knew there was nothing she could do to dissuade her.

No! Boomerang!

Angel's temper only rose as she neared the ship. By the time she reached it her hair fluttered behind her in a literal blaze of fire, mirroring her anger. Angel lifted her fist a moment before slamming the fiery hand through the hull of the ship. Using that as leverage she lifted up and punched a hole higher up with her other fist. Angel repeated this, alternating fists until she'd climbed up the hull of the ship and reached the side, pulling herself over.

Angel marched until she was standing about center of the ship, “MATEEEOOOOO!” she screamed angrily, “GET YOUR STINKING COWARDLY THIEVING ASS OUT HERE SO I CAN BEAT IT!”

The deck was silent for a moment, as Angel seethed. Then, a young boy burst from the hold, somersaulted across the deck and got back up to his feet in a fighting stance.

eea65ce88b32f6bbf306d7a81d120ef41.jpg

“I am a Bronze Rifle Pirate!” He cried, “And I won’t let you hurt my brother’s ship!” He then pulled a bladed boomerang out of his back pocket and tossed it at Angel. It went sailing through the air and… circled around Angel before flying back to it’s owner's hand.

“Darn it! Boomerang!”
He whined, glaring at his prized weapon as if it had betrayed him.

Danny scrambled up the ship as fast as she could, greatly concerned for her crew mate whose hair was on fire. While she wanted to shoot Mateo in the face as much as Angel, she felt that going onto the enemy ship and announcing it would be a terrible idea. When she got to the top of the ship she was surprised to find a small kid crying about a boomerang to be the only other person on deck. “Uhhh…what the hell is going on here?” Danny asked, looking around cautiously for the other Bronze Rifle pirates.

Following on her heels Ziggy scrambled just as fast as Danny up the ship. She saw a boy who looked rather disappointed and walked over to him. Extending her hand, she placed it on the boy’s shoulder in a comforting manner. “It okay.” She reassured him, not knowing anything about who he even was. She gave him a small smile, looking at the boomerang in his hands.

“T-thanks.” The boy sniffed, accepting Ziggy’s comfort. Suddenly, something occurred to him and he jumped backwards. “Wait a minute! You’re from the enemy pirate crew! I won’t let you hurt Festus!” he held up his boomerang threateningly as he stared down Ziggy.

Angel raised one eyebrow at the little boy before turning around and flicking a small ball of fire into the main masts sail. “Don't want me to hurt the ship? Then tell me where Mateo is.” she called towards the boy, crossing her arms as her anger dwindled from rage to annoyance at this point.

Ziggy turned to see Angel and frowned. “But Angel, me thought we NOT supposed to blow up ship…” Ziggy trailed off, glancing toward Danny. She knew earlier that Danny specifically told her to not blow up the ship, since her previous question of whether or not the other ship was okay to blow up was unanswered then this ship was obviously not okay to hurt either.

“Ahhh!” The child screamed, running to the mast. “Nooo! Festus!” He furiously climbed up the mast towards the burning sail. He tried to beat out the flame with his hand but only succeeded in burning himself. “Ow!” He cried, losing his grip on the mast, and began falling back down to the deck.

Oh Brother

Angel's look of annoyance only soured further as she stepped forward to be beneath the falling boy. Angel's work as a shipwright ensured she was rather fit underneath the pretty redhead look she maintained. As of such it was no difficult task to catch the small boy who easily weighed less than a load of planks for the ship. She cast him a look of annoyance once again before waving her hand and putting out the fire in the sails.

Angel then proceeded to sit the boy down, keeping one hand on his shoulder so he wouldn't take off instantly, “Where's Mateo?” she asked for the third time.

“I-I’ll tell you where they went. Just don’t hurt Festus anymore! My brother told me to look after him and he’s gonna kill me if something happens to it.” He sniffled, looking up at Angel with watery eyes.

Angel raised her eyebrow as the boy told her of the threat, “Wow…wait… who's your brother?” Angel asked slowly, the possibility poking about in her mind.

“Roy.”

Angel's face immediately dropped into that of extreme pity, “Oh dear you poor child…” she whispered with a shake of her head, “I am so, so sorry. But could you please tell me where Mateo is?” she asked, releasing his shoulder and leaning back up.

“They went off into the jungle. They said something about a treasure. Not that I care though,” He huffed, crossing his arms and puffing out his chest. “They always go off and have fun without me.”

Ziggy frowned as listened in, she walked over to the boy, once again placing her hand on his shoulder. “That's not fair.” She whined. Suddenly filled with energy, Ziggy grabbed onto the boy’s face and looked into his eyes, squishing his cheeks on accident. “Us go have fun, without them!” She shouted.

“Yeah!”
The boy smiled, grabbing Ziggy’s hand. “I’m Travis, by the way. Come on,” He began pulling Ziggy along. “I’m gonna show you my room!” With that the two of them disappeared into the Bronze Rifle ship.

“Well then,” Danny sighed. “Those two should be alright for now.” Travis didn’t seem like any kind of threat and Ziggy was a maniac who could blow him up if he tried anything. She turned to Angel and frowned. “We should go get the others. We have to get moving as soon as possible to get that map back and get to the treasure before the Bronze Rifle Pirates do.”

Angel let out a low growl at the mention of the map again, her hair sparking into flames once more, “Yea… I've got some business with that prick..” she grumbled, cracking the knuckles on each hand.

Norman Newman

Norman awoke to the smell of fresh fruit and palm trees. It was not what he was expecting after earlier, but he supposed his crew could deal with some lame pirates without him. He blinked his eyes open after a few moments, rubbing at them to get the crud from his eyes that formed while he was unconscious. Where he found himself was..... Surprising to say the least.

He was in a tree. In the upper branches. On an island he didn't recognize. And his face was smeared with fruit juice. Not only that, but after a cursory glance it seemed his crew was nowhere to be found. He licked all the juice off his face and righted himself to sit in the trees branches. "Well, this isn't very good. Seems I got separated from everyone else!".

He stretched his various limbs and his neck, and descended the tree in a manner one might label monkey-like. Brushing himself off he took a big inhalation, and sighed at the wonders of the tropical breeze. Really wakes ya up after you've been tossed off your ship onto an unknown island! Reaching into under his right arm he pulled his katana out of seemingly nowhere! Anyone normal person who saw this would have gone through several levels of confusion and denial before giving up understanding.

He made two swift strikes into the tree trunk, marking it with an X. He may be an expert navigator out on the ocean, but on land he got lost far too easily. Hopefully this would help! With that he closed his eyes, pointed a finger, and spun in a circle. When he stopped he opened his eyes and walked off in the direction he was pointing. Hopefully someone else from his crew washed up here. Or at least let their be natives!

A Chance Encounter

As Norman made his way through the trees that dotted the landscape, the ground beneath his feet went from sand towards more of a grassy texture. There was still sand beneath his feet, but it was such that grass was still able to grow in some way. Other than that, there was the occasional chirp of a bird here and there to keep it from becoming too silent. If he was listening closely, he would hear something, something subtle. It was the crackling of leaves, the snapping of twigs, signs of movement… if he was listening he might hesitate.

Norman's ears caught sounds that didn't quite match the peaceful forests environment. He settled his hand on his katana warily. The sounds of birds and such meant it was very unlikely for it to be a big predator like a bear. But that didn't mean aggressive natives or rival pirates was out of the question. He silenced his steps best he could without resorting to his less.... Natural abilities. He held his katana against his leg as to not to seem aggressive, but still show his ability to defend himself, and he set off to find the source.

Peering through the cracks in the forest as he moved forward, Norman would notice a figure. It wasn’t quite a familiar figure although that did not mean Norman had never laid eyes upon this figure before; he just may not have recalled such an encounter. It was a man, tall and shirtless, blonde and seemingly unarmed. If Norman was perceptive enough, he would realize that the man had no idea he was there…. that the man’s attention was completely consumed by surveying the landscape and that he appeared to be looking for something. He appeared to be alone.

Norman was struck with a sense of deja vu when he looked at the man. He would swear he'd seen him somewhere. One way or another, Norman didn't seem to get any bad feelings about the guy or his surroundings. Norman liked trusting his instincts, so he set his katana over his shoulder in a manner obviously akin to relaxation and strolled out into the open. Calling to the man he said, "Hey, are ya lost too?".

The blonde turned to face Norman, his eyes widening at the sight of the man whose face was concealed. “Lost? No… why would one be lost on a …” His speech stopped abruptly, deciding against what he had been about to say. “... and who might you be?”

Norman snickered to himself as the man's eyes widened. Norman never really tired of surprising people suddenly, whether on purpose or not. He wondered why the blonde stopped in the middle of a sentence, but blew it off as surprise. "Name’s Norman. Norman Newman. And who might you be?".

The blonde’s eyes grew wide for a moment although this time it was not surprise that widened them; this time, it was excitement. “Well, Norman Newman,” he uttered, “I am truly sorry about this. Awase Biori!” Upon the man’s exclamation, a large row of metal bars extended out from his arms before circling their way around the Red Ribbon ninja and entrapping him in a cage of steel bars. “I just can’t have anyone wandering the island right now. You might find my prize.”

Clay Plainswalker

Once again, as is common with the bum of the crew, Clay had stood by lazily as all the various chaotic events had thrown the ship into turmoil. He had been enchanted by Tora's singing, thrown into a trance which compelled him to head towards Tora as if he was being pulled by a magnetic attraction. Luckily, or well....not so luckily....Tora was silenced by a new arrival onto the ship who was called Yumi by Captain Abdomen. This 'Yumi' stuffed smoke into Tora's mouth and nose using her hand, causing a coughing fit out of the fish woman. Clay didn't take too kindly to that action, and was almost finally feeling like doing something, if it weren't for the fact that Charybdis began to rapidly get dragged into some sort of whirlpool.

Immediately proceeding the sudden darkening of the sky and subsequent danger of the whirlpool, a damn sea monster decided to show up and add even more trouble for the Red Ribbon Pirates. Upon crashing through the surface of the ocean water, the sea monster sent large waves of salt water crashing into the two present pirate ships, completely soaking Charybdis and everyone on it. The water smashed into Clay with reckless abandon, but Clay only drooped his arms and shoulders in response, his face completely covered by his now drenched red hair. Blowing his hair away from his eyes, Clay looked to be in a sour mood the second his visage was clear.

"Damn ship is all wet now....who do you think has to clean this all up you stupid sea monster!" Clay yelled at the beast. While Clay was doing what he did best...nothing...his fellow crew were doing their best in trying to stop and defeat the oversized dinner. However, as is common with her, Ziggy managed to create more chaos by undoing Tora's attack, which had frozen the fish, through the heat of her exploding dynamite. The foo- er, fish, had had enough of the Red Ribbon's, and so it decided, with much ease, to swat away Charybdis like a pesky fly, sending the ship and its crew basically flying.

After quite an adventurous time flying through the Blue Sea, Charybdis came to an abrupt stop, catapulting a few crew members, among them Norman the navigator, flying onto a forest on the island Charybdis had been stopped at. Clay was also sent flying, but luckily for him, he was still on the ship, having only been thrown at the supply closet. He crashed through the door, breaking through it a slamming into the contents within. His favorite mop fell onto his head after the crash. Quickly waking him up before he could even feel pain or complain. Standing up and brushing himself off, Clay grabbed the mop and frowned, knowing full well that there was a shit ton of cleaning to do after an accident like that.

However, the bum took a minute to look around, noticing that most of his crew mates were no longer on the ship. He also spotted the ship of the other pirate crew, where he was able to see his captain and a few of his fellow crew as well.

"So those guys got smacked here too huh? Stupid fish, shoulda chomped on him while I had the chance. Oh well, looks like a nice enough island," Clay said to himself. Spotting one of the various lounge chairs on the ship recklessly thrown onto the ship's railing, Clay went ahead and grabbed the folded furniture, hopping off Charybdis and setting up the lounge chair facing the ocean and into the sand. He played down on the chair, folding his arms behind his head.

"Now, THIS, is what i'm talking about," he sighed contently.

Hmm... Where are you? Let's find out!

@BLUR
As Clay sat in his lounge chair within the sand, he would feel all the comfort he really wanted… well, for the most part. If he reached down, he would feel the sand between his fingers. The constant motion of being on the ship had pretty much vanished, and the endless weight on his feet had been lifted. It was almost perfect.

However, there was one thing missing - the sun. Clouds concealed it. The warm feeling of it on his skin was nonexistent while his memories reminded him that they almost always found the sun on Charybdis.
@Refaulted
Marcus, who had been standing right in the front of the deck as Scylla had decided to swipe their ship out of her view, was the one who was flung the furthest upon the island upon impact. There was nothing on the ship to hold him there, nothing nearby for him to grab. As such, he got a mouth-full of sand when he landed face first on the island’s surface quite a distance away from the others although he wasn’t too far away as to not be seen.
@CrimsonEclipse
Pandora was one of the few people who did not get thrown off the ship upon its swat and sudden stop. That didn’t mean her journey was painless, though. Being as near to the canons as she was, the gunner found herself bouncing back and forth between them, quickly learning that an object in motion stays in motion for longer than is comfortable. The result was a spinning head that left even someone as strong as Pandora dizzy.
@general ostruppen
Adam had charged at the enemy pirates as they had dashed off of the ship, just in time for the sea monster to swipe at Charybdis and send the entire vessel flying. It had been a major mistake on his part although he had had no way of knowing that. The resulting jerk of the ship caused Adam to continue flying in the air, eventually catapulting him into the raging waters of the sea.

As much as he would struggle and try to swim, the waves would be too strong. They would constantly pull him beneath their deadly surface and push him back up again. True, there was time to breath, but the rushing water was sure to find a way into his lungs.

Lucky for him, the rage didn’t last long as the waves carried him alongside Charybdis washing him onto the shore of the island where he would be able to regroup with his crewmates. However, water rushed up from his throat as his lungs begged him to cough it back out before it did any major damage.
@Thesmashbro
Mairi, having been watching Scylla as the serpent prepared to strike their ship, would have had an opportunity to brace herself from the ship’s oncoming jerk and continuing sail towards the island that had previously been unknown to them. Though the jerk of the ship’s sudden stop would have definitely taken some struggle to prepare for, Mairi would find that her ability to brace herself kept her from flying too far away from the ship. As a result she actually landed right in front of Charybdis.
@National
Gali remained standing on the ship, observing the anger she had evoked in the sea serpent before the sea serpent froze and was then angered again. It would certainly be an odd sight for one to see although Gali would not have a chance to watch it for long as the sea serpent's swat would force the ship out to sea leaving little but water to see in the wake.

Upon the abruptness of the landing on shore, Gali would find himself catapulted off the ship, landing face first in the sand in a fashion much similar to Marcus, landing dangerously close to a tree.

Captain Scarlet Johanna Indigrid

Scarlet found herself flying into the sand face first along with several of her crewmates and her scream came out like a loud and high pitched screech. That single sound made it clear that her sound barrier no longer was maintained, if it had even existed in the first place. Upon impact, Scarlet bounced back onto her feet, seemingly unphased by her short fly, although her hands instantly ran up to her hair, ruffling her fingers through it with an intensity that almost looked painful. ”Sand in my hair!! Nooo! This is not ok!” Clearly, Captain Scarlet Johanna Indigrid was doing just fine despite their terrible luck.

”Is everyone alright?”

Scarlet heard the voice of her musician coming from behind her and she quickly turned while still ruffling her hair. Her eyes fell upon Tora and she spotted Johnny close behind her. ”I’m alright,” she replied aloud so that they could hear. ”I got sand in my hair, though!”. She did not seem happy about it. ”What about you two?”

While she waited for their answer, Scarlet’s attention was drawn to Danny and Angel who already seemed to have gone on an adventure of their own. It was then that Scarlet’s eyes took in the sight of the Bronze Rifle pirate ship. “And you two?” Scarlet extended her question to apply to Danny and Angel, but now her eyebrows raised in anger. “I’m the captain! You shouldn’t go on adventures without me!”

Still it seemed odd, though, because right after Scarlet finished whining, her eyes turned to Danny as if to say, Ok. What’s the plan?

Tora was glad that Angel, Danny, Johnny, and Ziggy were OK. She flashed each of them a smile to show how relieved she was. "Aye, aye, Danny," Tora replied as the more captain-like member of the Red Ribbon Pirates went after Angel toward the Broze Rifle Pirate ship. Tora was about to scan the beach for her comrades when her attention went to her captain. ”I’m alright. I got sand in my hair, though!" Tora stifled a laugh. Her captain was defiantly OK.

"I'm fine. It'll take more than a sandy landing to slow me down," Tora replied. She returned to the task that Danny had given her. After scanning the beach she noticed where her comrades landed. Out of the two she was asked to specifically look for, Marcus seemed to have the worst landing. "Found them," Tora shouted up to Danny.

Tora ran over to Marcus. "You OK, doc?" she asked, reaching a hand down to help him up. "Hey...where's Norman?" she asked, realizing that she hadn't seen where he landed. She looked back at the others to double check if she had overlooked him. She saw Mairi, Adam, Pandora, Clay, and Scarlet, while Angel, Danny, and Ziggy were on the rival pirate ship. Tora's eyes went wide. Last time she saw Norman he was unconscious due to her Siren Song. Now he could be anywhere on a strange island with rival pirates currently on it. "Guys, we're missing Norman," Tora shouted so that those on the Bronze Rifle pirate ship could hear her.

Johnny looked at his captain, a smile appearing on his face after hearing his captain."W-Well, our captain's o-ok." Johnny said, in his soft and now timid voice. There was something that changed in him, something that made him unsure of his thoughts and ideas. Looking at the Bronze Rifle ship, he could only sight, then look at the sea.

Suddenly, he woke to see his mother next to him, holding a hand on his head. Johnny looked up to her, but she looked on at the ocean, slowly ruffling Johnny's hair. "What do you want for your birthday, Johnny?" His mother said, her voice soft almost lost in the sound of the waves crashing into the rocks. Johnny looked down, not saying a thing. He knew what he wanted, but didn't want another lecture. "You know Johnny... I understand your wishes. The sea looks tempting, happened to me too. Back then, I was young, never thought of settling down. But soon, you will see this is a thing that you get growing up." Johnny looks up at his mother and gently smiles, as she does the same.

At a moment's notice, Johnny snapped back to reality. He did not know why that memory was triggered, or what it wanted to say. Sticking close to Tora, he nodded at Marcus, making a list in his mind. Johnny started to look around after what Tora said. "Norman?! N-Norman?!" He started to yell, hoping to hear back. Johnny then turned to Tora. "An-Any idea where he could bn-be ? We need to start searching for him, h-he is our friend after all."

Adam Beryln

it was quite a sunny and peaceful afternoon on this beutiful tropical island and.....Wait where's? Oh Never mind, after lunging at the enemy pirates he was suddenly sent flying off the ship and swimming for his life. Adam was lucky enough to be swept near an island and not to far from his fellow crew members. But at the moment he was struggling for air as he Coughs out water from his lungs. He slowly crawls a couple feet before collapsing. He slowly turns his body face up and let's the sun rain down him with its warmth. It was quite pleasent, until a peculiar bird had landed on his face. The bird looked at him and Adam looked at the bird. "GET THE FUCK OFF ME YOU DAMN BIRD!!!" He screams as he thrashes at the bird. The bird manages to flap its wings in time to dodge Adam attack. The bird flies off to the left and Adam nearly got up and chased after it, that was until something caught his eye.

Off in the distance was his captains ship and the.......Well Adam didn't really bothered to remember there name but yeah they were on the same beach as him and that's what mattered to him. Adam gets himself up and attempts to pat as much sand and seaweed as possible. He succeeds somewhat and marches and goes off to see the others, as he approaches he notices that everyone around seemed to be well and not hurt. However he noticed that the enemy captain and his lackeys weren't around, he presumed that to be a good sign and climbs back up onto the captains ship. After several minutes climbing up and marching back into his messy room, he felt relief until he noticed that his room seemed to be in worse condition then it was before. He quickly grabs another pair of clothes and changes into them. He felt cleaner and sophisticated once again, he looks back at the project he had been working on and at this point he would have to start from scratch.....Again.He then searches for his mothers journal and swishes through the pages to make sure nothing was damaged or ripped, so far everything seemed to be intact.

"Alrighty pages are in check.....I suppose I should go ahead and explore this island...... *sigh* But first I must draw that damn bird" He finds an empty page and draws out the bird, for some reason whenever he draws a bird he makes it seem demonizing or evil in some way. After he finishes drawing the bird and writing the descriptions of it, he then closes the journal and walks back up on deck and jumps off the ship and lands near his fellow crew members. He finds the captain and other crew members panicking over the disapearance of Normann . "Ummmm captain mind if I suggest we all form a search party for Norman? The sooner we find him the better chance we can figure out where we are....Yah need help with your hair?"

Marcus groaned from his facedown position. He could taste the gritty sand on his tongue, and it even reached to the back of his throat. But his whole body ached from his landing, and he had no desire to get up at the moment. Others could be wounded, though, and that was not something he should leave by its own. But the sand felt so warm under him...

He slowly brought his hands up towards his head, and slowly pushed himself onto his hands and knees. He coughed and hacked and gathered all the sand into a giant wad of spit. When he couldn't taste the sand that much in his mouth anymore, he balled the glob and spat it a few feet away. When it landed, he noticed a faint redness in it, and spat in his hand again. Of course he knew it was blood, but he wanted to be sure. And his action proved it. He probably had bit his cheek during his landing, resulting in it bleeding. But it wasn't life-threatening. He had to get moving.

He got to one knee first, ignoring Tora as she tried to ask if he was okay. He simply waved a hand and got up[ to his feet again. He pulled his glasses off, inspecting them. They were busted, lenses shattered and the left side of it broken in half. Not that he needed them anyways. He was just happy that shards of glass did not impale his eyes.

Placing the broken pair in his pocket, he turned and looked around for Norman as Tora pointed out his absence. He scanned the shoreline to the farthest he could, not needing to shield his eyes due to the clouds that concealed the sun's rays. He didn't like the cold feeling. It felt wrong. "
I don't know where he is...Last time I saw him was-" His mind flashed to a burning town and a bloody body next to him. He shook his head. "when I was helping him from his fall. He seemed okay, nothing that could affect his physical capabilities. And I don't think he drowned...or else we would see his lifeless body among the waves. So lets assume the best possible outcome, and that he washed up a small ways away."

He took a moment to look over his appearance. His clothes weren't too tattered. A few tears could be seen in the fabric, but it was more or less in tact. The only thing was that his usual bow tie was missing, probably washed away in the ocean. He sighed, scratching his chin. "
I think, Captain and Danny, it would be wise to send a search party out to look for him along the beach? I need to stay here and check all of my inventory to make sure nothing got too broken in my room." He began walking over to the pirate ship, scowling as he saw Mairi in the sand. "Hey, Mairi! Get off your ass and come with me to take inventory. Some of your stuff may be broken, too. And if there's a chemical reaction we have to worry about, we should take care of it sooner rather than later."

Mairi sighed when Marcus rudely told her to get up. She wanted to stay there and rest a bit longer, but Marcus had a point. Depending on what spilled, a chemical reaction could ruin the ship if they didn't handle it. Still, that didn't excuse Marcus' rudeness. "With that kind of language, I'm surprised that you're single." she said sarcastically as she got up and dusted some of the sand off of her clothes and hair. After that, she climbed up onto the ship and went to her room.

Mairi's tools were in much worse condition than the bomb incident that happened earlier. At this point, there was no point in trying to salvage anything; not only was there no intact bottles, but she recognized two of the chemicals that had mixed together from being spilled. The room was filled with a deadly gas. Since there was nothing she could do, Mairi climbed to the outer side of her room and opened a window from the outside. After that, she stopped by the room where Marcus kept his stuff. "I don't think any of my experiments survived." she said, "I can't even clean up the mess since the room's filled with gas and I don't trust my resistance to poison enough to walk into a room with an unknown chemical hanging in the air."

Marcus scoffed as he followed Mairi up onto the ship. "The answer is simple enough for that, Ms. Kohaku...I simply don't find the concept of dating interesting. Why date someone when more important things are to be focused on? Though, your sarcastic tone is enough of a reason for me to stay away from relationships."

As he went his separate way with the woman to his own room, he actually mulled over her statement. What he said was the truth, but what reasons would there be to have a relationship with someone, truly? There was no reason to date someone if he was bound to the Red Ribbon Pirates as their doctor, as he was travelling from island to island and never could see the end of their final destination in close sight. Maybe, if he ended up getting separated and deserted by his crew, he would be able to settle down. But, even then, he didn't want to be bothered by any significant other.

As he entered his room, he plugged his mouth and nose immediately. His eyes looked over for any colored gas, but saw none. Still not safe yet, though. He noticed that papers were now more scattered than before, reaching all the way to the side of his bed against the opposite wall. His coat rack had fallen over, and one of the hooks had broken off. His eyes then looked over to his bookshelf, expecting the worse.

Of course, he was always prepared for situations where his vials would fall over. Most of them were still secured in the their racks, due to the shelves being slotted which made for easy and safe storage. But still, the jolt of the ship when it had been sent ashore had knocked a few vials out of their places. A few broken ones were scattered on the ground, and he knelt down closer to inspect them. A green sludge was spreading along the floor, bubbling as it reacted to the oxygen and spread out slowly. Two more vials were broken more closely to each other, and the contents were mixing together to form a strange silvery solid. His eyebrows lifted at this, and he made a mental note to collect samples of them.

He looked at the labels that were still stuck to some shards of glass. As he studied them, he heard footsteps behind him, and stood up quickly as Mairi began talking. As she spoke, he grabbed two pairs of gloves and two gas masks, and briskly walked out of the room, pushing Mairi back as he did. He shut the door behind him, and then let out a huff of breath, drinking in safer air than in his room. "
Seems we both may have issues, then. There are a few broken vials in my room that I am unsure had any form of gases or anything inside of them. The other things I am not worried about, since they are not deadly except to the touch." He quickly put on a gas mask and a pair of gloves, then grabbed her hands and put the extra equipment in her hands. "Put this stuff on. I may have some stuff that can help air out your room. Then, to make up for your lost items, we go out and look for some herbs? It will give us a chance to look for Norman while we're at it as well. We should get permission from Scarlet first, though."

Turning back to his room, he opened the door, retrieving a broom from under his bed and began to sweep up the broken glass, careful not to run the broom through the chemicals. He was worried about damage to the ship, so this has to be taken care of first, so they then could take care of Mairi's room so whatever gas was there didn't spread to the rest of the inner ship, possibly killing them in the process.

Norman Newman vs. Mateo Maxime DiStephano

Norman exhaled slowly. He was unhappy that this exchange couldn't have gone a different way, but he had to get back to his crew. They'd find it difficult to navigate without him. Plus he took offense to being caged like some sort of animal.

He tapped the bars with his katana a couple times, testing them. “Steel eh? I can't cut this quite yet. I'll need more practice first. Guess I'll have to do it. But it's so uncomfortable! Dang it.” Norman said this last bit with a grimace.

The smallest of smirks appeared on Mateo’s face. Cut through them? In your dreams…

Assassin's Rule #2: Dissolve in the darkness and erase your breath.
Black Star
Then taking a stance with one hand up towards his face, index and middle finger up over his lips. And thumb over his pinky and ring finger. His other hand behind his back, sword held horizontally. “Disperse.” With that word he quickly dissolved head downwards, as if blown away by the wind. All that remained were particles spread through the air of the clearing.

Mateo’s eyes had remained focused on the man even though his certainty ensured that escape wasn’t possible simply because he was finding himself to be rather amused. “What are you…” His voice trailed off as the man vanished completely before his eyes flickered to either side of his own form expecting his opponent to reappear at any moment.

A disembodied voice seemed to whisper directly in Mateos ear. “So, I don't really care about your prize guy. But locking strangers in a cage is kinda rude.” A foot silently materialized behind Mateo, and promptly kicked him in the butt. Then the rest of Norman materialized and connected to the foot. “I don't believe you even shared your name first!”

As the man materialized, Mateo’s reactions were quick. They weren’t quite beyond human possibility, but it was clear that he had training. As Norman’s foot connected with the physical form of Mateo, Norman would find that rather than the hard impact he was expecting, the impact was soft as Mateo’s body bent and his foot passed right through Mateo only to reemerge surrounded by a circle of iron. “You really think it will be that easy?” Mateo remarked as he drove his fist at Norman’s head.

Norman frowned as his foot through and was subsequently shackled as it came out of the guy. As Mateo threw a punch Norman stuck his tongue out, licking his fist as he punched his head into dust. A second later his head reformed. “I sure hope not! I wanna have some fun, Muscles. I haven't had anyone last past the first move in a while. Let's go!”

He broke his leg apart, then reformed it outside of the shackle. He made dramatic stretching and yawning gestures. Then he reached out and pulled his katana out of mid air. Spinning it between a couple fingers in his right hand, he made a come at me motion with his left.

Mateo made no hesitation before charging headfirst at the man who dared to goad him on in a fight that surely would not remain quiet. Although he first attempted to drive forward another fist, Mateo shifted his weight at the last minute creating an attack that looked rather odd. It did suffice to drive a very powerful kick forward, though.

Norman's grin was downright maniacal as Mateo rushed him. Fighting was so much fun! His clan delighted in it! So such a charge only pleased him further. He solidified his body for more fun, and found himself receiving a surprisingly powerful luck square in the stomach, he took a step or three back and let out a huff of breath. “Egh. Good kick. Great kick. But my turn!”

He gripped his katana in both hands, preparing a good bit of strength to put behind his attack. Then, dashing forward he let out a small bit of laughter as he slashed his sword towards Mateos chest. At the same time he shifted a foot a tad to the left, and a sword made of ash, seemingly floating mid air, stabbed towards Mateos back.

”I’m glad you can appreciate strength,” Mateo commented briefly before he ducked down beneath the attack that he saw coming. It wasn’t quite as fast of a motion as he had hoped it would be and in his slowness, the katana nicked Mateo’s bare chest, creating a slash from his sternum to his shoulder.

Mateo winced as he dropped to the ground to avoid any further immediate damage, looking up towards his opponent only to realize that Norman was now in a conundrum. The blade that had been positioned behind Mateo now drove forwards towards Norman himself.

Norman smiled as he drew a bit of blood. His face akin to a shark in a feeding frenzy. However he didn't expect him to drop straight down. For a second he thought to simply divert his slash downward, but then he remembered the other sword he aimed at Mateos back.

His eyes widened comically. “Disperse, DISPERSE!” he yelled at the sword. Just before it would've stabbed him in the face it burst apart into ashes. Splashing into his eyes and blinding him for a moment. An awful mistake, pointing out how lacking in seriousness he was about this. Hopefully it wouldn't cost him. “Crap, I almost stabbed myself in the face!” he said as he went to clear his eyes.

”I see that, ash boy! I wouldn’t say it's the wisest decision you’ve made,” Mateo remarked. While his opponent’s eyes were still covered and while Mateo himself remained on the ground, Mateo swung out his leg sweeping it underneath Norman’s feet to knock the man’s support out from under him.

Norman was surprised when he found his legs swept out from under him, muttering, “Oh crap!” as he fell to the ground.

Taking that brief moment of weakness on his opponent’s part, Mateo slammed his arm over Norman, leaving behind a curved metal bar that lodged him into the ground. In that moment, Mateo was practically on top of the guy - an awkward sight to say the least - and stains of blood matching the slash on Mateo’s chest left their imprint on the dark blue background of Norman’s shirt as Mateo pulled his shoulder back to drive a punch at Norman’s face.

Norman's smile reappeared on his face as Mateo got up close and personal. “Aw, you got blood on my shirt. How kind of you!” he snickered. But as Mateo drove his fist downward he dissolved his head around the punch, trying to cause him to punch the ground, then reformed as he drew his fist back up. “Gonna have to try better than that! Pffft!” Norman stuck out his tongue at Mateo mockingly.

Captain Scarlet Indigrid, First Mate Danny Chasseur and Shipwright Angel Auh’Lahain

“And you two?” Scarlet extended her question to apply to Danny and Angel, but now her eyebrows raised in anger. “I’m the captain! You shouldn’t go on adventures without me!”

“Sorry Captain,” Danny rolled her eyes but still smiled affectionately at her Captain. “Won’t happen again.” With that, Danny scanned over their wrecked ship, doing a headcount in her head.

"Hey...where's Norman?" Danny’s eyes widened at Tora’s question as she now looked over the crew frantically. Dammit! Where did that idiot ninja end up! Danny took a deep breath and rubbed her temples. Calm down, freaking out about won’t solve the problem. Breathe. Think… Danny looked up and saw most of her crewmates eyes on her waiting for a plan.

“Alright,” Danny began, addressing the whole crew that wasn’t missing or hanging out with a rival pirate cabin boy. “We need to find Norman, find the treasure before those Bronze Rifle bastards and clean up up chemical spills on the ship. Angel can’t repair it until she know that her hands aren’t going to burn up in acid.” Danny declared.

“Right!” Scarlet beamed, glad that her first mate had a plan. “Wait a second? There’s a chemical spill on the ship?” Scarlet’s eyes turned with constant concern towards the ship that was hers by every right in existence as a panic filled her being. Her eyes slowly drifted back to Danny again, very saddened by the danger that Charybdis was now apparently in. “They can fix it, right?”

“I can fix it without a doubt captain, you don't have to worry about her… but first I'm more in the mood to break something…” Angel grumbled as she cracked her knuckles and looked out towards the jungle. “What do I have to do to get you to let me handle any Bronze Rifle bastards we come across, Danny?” Angel asked, giving the first mate a look that only further showed that she meant business.

“Spot one.” Danny replied, pulling out her pistols and inspecting them. She wanted them to be in perfect working order for what she had planned. “In order to cover as much area as possible we’ll have to split up.”

“I get to be the captain which means I get to lead a team,” Scarlet jumped in, her voice suddenly very eager yet also stern. It was an odd thing from her. “And if I find any of the ones trying to steal our treasure, I get to fight ‘em! Except for the hot one… him I’ll keep.”

Danny sighed, but let her Captain have her way. “Alright, and I’ll lead the other team. Marcus, and Mairi should help clean up the ship. And Pandora can stay here and make sure the Bronze Rifle Pirates don’t get any funny ideas of wrecking our ship more.” Danny rubbed her chin in thought. “As for the other teams…”

“Clay! Get your ass over here! We got work to do!” Scarlet yelled, her attention having already turned to her crew as she took stock of who she would allow to tag along with her. “Johnny, Adam, I suppose you two should tag along with me too.” Now Scarlet was starting to catch onto things. She knew her crew well and now was her chance to show it. “Do you have all your arrows, Johnny? Adam, any chance you have any random knowledge that might help?”

“Sound good.” Danny nodded, please by her captain’s foresight. “That leaves Angel, Tora, and Gali with me. I hope you’re all ready.”

Scarlet turned, about ready to lead her small little squad into the forest that covered the island as she gestured for her team to follow. Turning back to her first mate as Scarlet started walking, she called out, “Hey Danny! Good luck!”

Danny smirked as she lead her team in a different direction. “Same to you. Kick some Bronze Rifle ass for me.”

“And you save some Bronze Rifle ass for me!” Scarlet yelled back, a pleasant smirk on her face.

Danny smacked her forehead as the two teams make their way into the jungle.

A flashback had to happen to Gali. The poor young man has already suffered through hell. The day was going even worse, and it only made him sadder.

He took a flashback to his home island, where he was training with his father. They were fighting withbswirds, and not training ones. This was the first time his father introduced him to true sword sparring, and his father was kicking Gali's 8 year old ass. Gali stood up shakily.

"Dad, how come you're beating me? I'm supposed to be the strongest!"

His father laughs as he pushes Gali back down with the butt of his sword.

"You have much to learn my child. Before you even think of yourself as the strongest, you must wake up, ready to accept anything, and to sleep once your bloody, and exhausted to where you fall to your knees."

With those words, Gali'sbeyes flutter open as he shakily stands up. He flexes his back muscles, standing up fully, stretching his lower back.

"Now,where in the hell-"

A squawk was heard before Gali gets thrown to the floor, Reky flying right into Gali, the bird knocking itself out. Gali stands up, shaking the bird at its neck.

"You got eyes you idiot! Use em!"

Gali looks over at Danny, nodding.

"Alright, guess im with you." @DaughterofAthena

Still next to Tora, Johnny turned when he heard Scarlet speak. He turned to face her, looking around to see the situation first hand. A small red line formed on his face, not realizing that he had hit his head hard on the deck. Quickly, he used his sleeve to clean it, closing his eyes. He made a few grunting sounds, looking at his now bloody sleeve. "I-I liked this hoodie..."

His head started to hurt a little, like a small pounding in his head. He shook his head, then put a hand where his head was hurting. With the other hand, he held his bow, still not letting it go. Johnny looked at it, and strung it, then tested to see if it was alright. "A-At least I have you." A smile crept on his face.

When Scarlet called his name, he looked up and his smile went back to his default state. "U-Uhm... I only have... 3, the ones I gave to Ziggy. B-But I think I can m-make more." Johnny's voice and attitude clearly shifted. His voice was soft, and almost unrecognizable. His eyes were looking at Scarlet, but now they were almost puppy-ish, like a small kid when he is blamed for something.

Tora retracted her hand as Marcus started to get up on his own. She let out a relieved sigh after hearing that Norman's earlier fall hadn't resulted in anything too serious. Tora was glad that the doctor also tried to put a positive spin on the missing Norman situation. "You're right, panicking won't do us any good," she said to Marcus. "We'll need a level head to better deal with the other pirate group if we run into them."

Tora watched Marcus head to the ship with Mairi before she turned to Scarlet and Danny. Listening in on the conversation she learned of the chemical spill on the Charybdis. Angel assured the captain that she could fix the ship once the spill was dealt with. Tora didn't doubt their shipwright's skill. She continued to listen as two search parties were being formed. Tora was paired up with Danny's group.

Tora turned to Johnny. "Don't worry about Norman. He's on this island somewhere. We'll find him," she said with a soothing smile. Her confident look quickly changed to concern when she realized that Johnny's head was bleeding. "Marcus, looks like Johnny could use a check up before he heads out with Scarlet," she shouted toward the ship, cupping her hands around her mouth for added amplification. "He's bleeding from his head!"

Tora waited a couple seconds to make sure that Marcus was coming before turning to Danny. "I'm ready if you're ready."

Clay Plainswalker

What started out as a chaotic series of events, beginning with the arrival of a pirate crew that escalated into a near fight to a battle with a sea monster that sent Charybdis flying had ended up with Clay Plainswalker finally being able to simply sit down an relax. As he lay on his lounge chair, he couldn't help but close his eyes to allow himself to be absorbed in the sensations of the beach paradise. A cool breeze, the salty scent of sea water, a warm sun, al was great at the current moment. Of course, that wasn't the case for every body, but for Clay, everything was as amazing as they could possib--

“Clay! Get your ass over here! We got work to do!” Scarlet yelled.

Clay's eyes shot open at the serious tone in which his captain had yelled his name. "Damn it," he would think. So close and yet not nearly close enough. All he wanted was to take a break, was that too much to ask?

Slipping his eye patch over his left eye, Clay began to stand, however slowly. Looking back on the lounge chair as he was heading towards his captain, there would be no mistake that there was much longing and sorrow in the single uncovered eye of the Red Ribbon Pirates' Bum. Oh, how it pained him to leave that lounge chair. However, his duties as a member of this crew came first. It was about time to find his resolve.

As Clay approached Scarlet, he would spot Johnny blabbering beside her. Slapping Johnny on the back playfully, albeit hard, he said, "Well whaddya know? I guess we're gonna be a team! BAAHAHAHA!" Clay maniacal laughter echoed in the forest, causing a few birds to fly out of the trees they were resting in.

Adam Beryln

"Well my special journal might have sooome info on this area. So give me a couple minutes, you guy's go on ahead." He rummages through his small bag and pulls out his mother's journal, this book had so far been very helpful in identifying many things or places wherever he went. He left the group to observe some plants and and the bird he recently saw and compare his observations with the notes that share some similarities. After several mintues of looking around and looking at his journal, he finally found some comparison. The chapter consisted of several pages and rough drawing of several islands, some weren't named while others did. However what concerned him was that their were references of marines being one of the islands but there wasn't an exact location of which island. Adam doubled check to make sure and of course it was confirmed that marines were either on the other islands nearby, or they were practically on one. He walks a bit faster to catch up with his group, "Ummm guys from what I found in my journal their happens to be several other islands which unfortunately some don't have familiar names or none at all. However It appears that one of islands is a marine base......So captain if we could speed this up and get the hell out of this island I would be very happy of us back on the sea again."

Adam was quite concerned on the high chances of them encountering marines and he didn't want to get himself on the wanted list yet. He continues on to find any info on the marines if their was any, but all he found was a bunch of info on the birds in several of the islands. Which annoyed him a whee bit....Ok quite alot, but hey at least Adam was now going to finally have a bit of a bonding time with his crew. Even if they are a bit weird and such.

Adam then decided to take his mind off by taking out his time log journal and writing out his day. Which of course he wrote in Scholars log, date, yatatata and such. He starts writing out how everything seemed to start off with a peaceful morning and then all the chaos and how he was now currently stuck on an unknown island. Seriously tho how does that much chaos happen in just several hours its certainly ridiculous.

Scarlet Indigrid

Scarlet smiled as Clay finally walked up and joined her little party of explorers, glad that somehow she had managed to gather a crew that was so effective as a team. “Ready?” the excitement in her voice was evident as she raised an eyebrow at Adam who seemed to be settling in rather than preparing for an adventure. She didn’t bother to ask about it though; either he would follow, or he would be on his own and she really wasn’t particular about which of the two happened to become reality.

Turning, the captain of the Red Ribbon Pirates led her little group deeper into the island upon which they had crashed. It was surprisingly quite a peaceful place. The ground that had been sand back on the beach slowly transitioned to a harder surface and some grass brushed up against the ankles of those that had decided to follow the leader. Every now and then the occasional squawk of a bird filled the quietness that created an illusion of calm although as they gradually went further, there was something to be heard.

Eventually, the crew would hear a voice - faint yet familiar - reach their ears and Scarlet froze, raising her hand to signal for the others to do the same. Swiftly, she turned around to see her small little group and she looked at each of them briefly, her eyes serious, as she put up a sound barrier. If something was going on, they didn’t want to be heard unless they found Norman. They wouldn’t see it, per say, although some of them who had been in the crew longer may have known what she was doing. Turning very carefully, Scarlet gradually moved herself towards the noise, peering through the trees as she tried to get a better look.

What she saw was Norman. And lying on top of him was her sexy man candy.

“NORMAN!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY MAN!?” Scarlet’s voice overwhelmed all other silence that encompassed the area as she completely spazzed out, springing herself into the clearing with all hope of stealth being lost in that moment. Clearly, she had either forgotten or she didn’t care anymore.

The blonde lying on top of Norman’s eyes turned at the sound of a newcomer and when the fell upon the figure of Scarlet Johanna Indigrid, his eyes widened as he smirked, “Hello beautiful. Don’t mind us…”

“Geez women,” A drawling voice remarked. “You scream like a fucking banshee.”

Scarlet’s eyes whipped around, her eyes filled with something that could only be described as murder, as her gaze dropped onto yet another newcomer. Roy slaughtered onto the scene with a gigantic hammer resting on his shoulder. One of his hands rested on the hammer while the other was cleaning out one of his ears. He had an annoyed look on his face as he surveyed the the group assembled before him. “Mateo, you dumbass.” He scoffed. “You forgot your damn rifle on the ship.” He pulled his finger out of his ear and gestured to the rifle he had slung on his back.

”I DO NOT… well, maybe,” Scarlet screamed indignantly before begrudgingly agreeing. “Why’d you have to show up and ruin everything!?”

”You’re a lifesaver as always,” Mateo commented as he held his hand out for the rifle as he slowly began to lift himself off of Norman’s chest.

Roy smirked and grabbed the rifle off his back. He tossed it to Mateo. “You better kick his ass. I hate picking up other people’s slack.” He commented before turning to Scarlet. “I’m sick of listening to you whine.” He slowly pulled out a lighter, flicked it two times before producing a flame and lighting the cigarette between his teeth. He breath in the noxious chemicals before letting it out in a stream of smoke. “So let’s end this.” Roy quickly stoyed the lighter and pulled the hammer off his shoulder and casually spun it around in his hands. “Let’s go half-pint.”

Danny Chasseur

Do You Smell Smoke?

Danny trekked through the jungle with Tora, Angel and Gali in tow. The air was hot and sticky and Danny could already feel herself working up a sweat navigating through the dense foliage. There was little conversation between the crewmates as Danny wanted to keep an ear out for the enemy. However they were making slow progress and Danny was becoming more and more frustrated.

“Damn stupid jungle.” She muttered before turning back to her crewmates. “I’m going to head up this tree to see if we’re making ANY progress.” Danny grabbed onto the nearest branch and swung herself up and climbed up the rest of the tree. She quickly made it to the top and took a big gulp of fresh air. She scanned the surrounding jungle and found that despite her gripping they had made it a decent distance. The island didn’t appear to be very big. In fact, Danny could even see the other side from her vantage point. None of this helped her though. They had to find the Bronze Rifle pirates if they wanted any hope in finding the treasure. Even on an island this small it would take weeks to find anything, and more than likely the Bronze Rifle crew would have made off with it first. As Danny stood atop the tree, trying to come up with some sort of strategy, the stench of smoke hit her nose.

“Shit!” Danny cursed. She quickly hurried back down the tree where she left her friends. When she was about halfway down, she spotted Yumi making her way towards her crewmates. Without hesitation Danny drew two of her pistols in the blink of an eye and sent to shots at the Bronze Rifle pirate, right between her eyes. The bullets had no effect on the logia user, but she did look up at Danny in surprise, before her face broke out in a grin.

“Oh, looks like I’m spotted.” Yumi said with mock sweetness. “Too bad. I’m afraid the four of you, along with the rest of your pitiful crew, aren’t going to leave this island alive.” Yumi shot forward, her legs turning into smoke, as she lunged at Danny.

Danny jumped from the tree and landed gracefully on the ground. “Damn, my bullets aren't going to have any effect on her.” Danny remarked. “Angel! Tora! You two have a better chance against her. Gali and I will go ahead and try to find Mateo and the map.” Danny ordered. She motioned for Gali to follow her before taking off into the jungle.

“Hmmm, Mateo won’t want me to let them go.” Yumi mussed. “But I’m sure they’ll meet with a terrible fate. My other crewmates are also wandering the island so they won’t get far.” She then turned to Angel and Tora with bored expression. “Looks like I’m stuck with you two.” She sighed. “At least put up a decent struggle. Otherwise challenging your crew will be a huge waste of my time.”

I'm sorry... I'm so sorry

Danny and Gali dashed through the jungle, putting as much distance between them and Yumi and possible. They had to find Mateo or else they would never find the treasure. Not to mention Danny had no idea where Norman had ended up. This whole things turning into a giant mess. Danny rubbed her face in frustration. I told Scarlet we shouldn’t have let the crew grow so large. How the hell am I supposed to keep everyone safe?

A snapped twig drew Danny out of her thoughts and she immediately pointed her pistols in the direction of the sound.

“Oh, hello there.” It was the overly friendly Bronze Rifle pirate, Ben. The brunette smiled at Danny and gave her a hesitant wave. His eyes then fell on her guns and his smile dropped. “Do you want to fight?” He asked sadly. “I suppose you do. We can’t both have that treasure after all.” He sighed. “I hate to do this but… I can’t let my crew down. Not after all they’ve done for me.”

”Well I can’t let my crew down either.” Danny replied. “I’ll take down anyone who threatens my crewmates.”

“I was afriad you’d say that.” Ben looked visibly upset as he regarded Danny. “I’m sure you guys are good people. I’m sorry for what I’m about to do.”

Almost as soon as the words left his mouth, Danny had fired her pistols at Ben’s head. However, Ben disappeared almost as soon as her guns had fired. Danny looked around wildly for the Bronze Rifle pirate. How did he…?

Ben suddenly appeared right behind Danny. She whirled around to block him, but he was too fast. He knocked Danny off her feet with a side kick, sending Danny falling into the stream.

“I’m really sorry about this.” Ben apologized again. “But I can’t let you find that treasure.”

Gali curses himself under his breath at the dreading heat and humidity. He already disposed his shirt a while ago as his entire chest was soaked in sweat. His parrot, Reky, was flying lazily around in the air, scouting the area. Sadly, the bird didn't do a very good job. He watches as Danny runs up a tree, and he takes a deep breath as he wipes his face. down with his bandana.

Suddenly, he hears his leader curse, and his sense of smell could tell Gali why. He could smell the smoke from a decent distance away, and since it was so potent, he knew that Yumi was close. Correction, she was right there. The actions went pretty fast, and he found himself running with Danny as they left Yumi behind with Angel and Tora.

Suddenly, they both get stopped by the big and friendly Ben from the Bronze Rifle Pirate. Sadly, Ben didn't want to just let them past. Before Gali could even move, the big guy kicked Danny right into the stream. Hr grits his teeth. Alright, this guy wanted a fight, and he hurt Danny. Everyone was pushing Gali's buttons today, and it was pissing him off. He unsheathes his sword, walking over to Ben. Reky suddenly swoops down, and with all of his little birdy might, he pulled Danny out of the water. The bird falls into her arms, pooped, as Gali tightens his Bandana.

"Go find Mateo. I'll take care of the big guy here. Don't worry about me. You did recruit me to be the swrodsman, didn't you?"

Tora trekked through the island jungle behind Danny. She too could feel the sticky sensation of sweat on her body. The idea of taking a shower or swimming became very appealing to her. After walking for who-knows-how-long the group stopped. Tora watched as Danny climbed up a tree. She wiped her sweaty temple with her scaly arm as she waited for Danny to climb down.

"Is something burning?" Tora asked before hearing Danny swear. Tora looked up and saw Danny fire her pistols. Her gaze turned to what the guns were pointed at and quickly recognized the woman that stuffed smoke down her throat earlier. Tora quickly took a fighting stance; holding her arms out in front of her, she readied her razor sharp fins for combat. She nodded after receiving orders from Danny and flashed a grin, showing off her shark teeth canniness.

"You underestimate the Red Ribbon Pirates. I promise you we're not going to be boring opponents," Tora said to Yumi. "I didn't have a change to even the score earlier. Things aren't going to play out the same way, smokey." Tora glanced over at Angel. "You ready?" she asked, before taking a deep breath. "Sonic Scream!" Tora blasted ear grading sound at Yumi in an attempt to create an opening for Angel. If smokey was distracted by the terrible noise maybe she'd stay solid long enough for Angel to get a good hit in.

The shore remained as calm as it ever was. Water washed up into the sand as it was pushed and pulled by the tide’s rise and fall, slapping against the solidity of the sand before it backed away again, continuing a battle that would never be won and never be lost. Two ships rested upon the shore, unmoving although they, like the sand that they sat on, were constantly under attack from the waves of the sea. It lacked the strength to push them further into the sand or pull them away. And thus they sat with nothing better to do.

It was into this beautiful battle that a single man walked, his eyes dwelling upon both ships for a single moment before he continued walking up to the one that was not his own crew’s ship. “You’re the reason for all this trouble,” he muttered placing his hand on the side of the ship. “And there’s nothing I can do about it…”

The man reached down into the pocket of his white lab coat pulling out a single long needle. It was a tool, really; one of the many involved in his favorite kind of therapy. Continuing to walk around the ship, the man heard voices coming from inside. “Hmm… now that, I might be able to do something about.” Again, he was talking to himself. A rather odd fellow he was.

Walking around, he peered into an opening of the ship where his eyes fell upon two beings - a man and a woman. “Why hello there!” he greeted. “I don’t suppose you would mind being test subjects, would you?”
