One and Only

Kaliyah rushed forward, wrapping her arms around Rodrick's neck and hugging him tightly. Trevor stood back with Sabra, smiling as he watched the exchange.

"I'm home," Kaliyah whispered against him, tears spilling down her cheeks

Roderick closed his eyes and hugged her tight, lifting her off the ground. "I missed you. So so much." He gasped. His buried his face in her neck and hair. Slowly he set her down and leaned back. He connected their lips, kissing her like she would be taken away again. "The baby?" He asked, hands finding her flat belly.

Kaliyah leaned into the kiss, a sigh of relief escaping her. She was home. And she knew Trevor would cover everything up when he returned.

"Healthy." She stepped back and held out her hand for Sabra, who timidly stepped forward, large green eyes gazing up at her father.

Roderick kneeled and held open his arms, a nervous smile on his face. "Hi baby...I'm your daddy." He whispered, looking at her green eyes that matched his and her hair that was just a tad darker then her mother's.

Sabra stood a moment, glancing up at Kaliyah nervously. Her mother knelt beside her and urged her to Rodrick. "It's alright, he's your father."

Sabra took a step forward into Rodrick's arms. "Hi," she mumbled quietly.

Roderick hugged her, relief serping into him at finally having his family home. He lifted her into his arms. He wrapped a free arm around Kali as well. I'm so happy to have my Princessa's home." He turned Trevor. "I owe you, my friend. Anything, anytime." He said.

Sabra giggled as Rodrick scooped her up into his arms. Kaliyah turned into his neck, her lips brushing it gently.

Trevor nodded, giving a slight bow. "My pleasure. I must be off before they're aware she has left." With that, he was gone.

"I haven't seen you in years... What do you say we get Sabra's room and bed comfortable for her, and you and I can head upstairs." She was greatly looking forward to being alone with her husband.

Roderick chuckled for the first time in many years. He looked down at his wife. "As you say my heart." He bounced Sabra in his arms as he led them upstairs. "While you were gone, I had a little Princessa's room set up. Down the hall from mommy's and daddy's." He told his daughter. He pushed open the door.

Sabra squealed excitedly as the door opened. The room was perfect. "I love it!" The little girl exclaimed as she hopped over to her bed, lying down from exhaustion.

Kaliyah smiled and rubbed Rodrick's back as their daughter explored the room. "Get some sleep little one. We'll check on you later." She closed the door and turned to her husband.

Roderick smiled, happy that his baby girl liked it. As soon as the door closed, he lifted Kali up into his arms, kissing along her neck. "I missed you. So much." He whispered.

Kaliyah grinned and tilted her head so he had better access to her neck. "I miss you too dear. Let's go to the bedroom so the girl may get some sleep."

He nodded against her throat. He pushed open their door, kicking it shut behind them. He let her down, eyes raking over her hungrily. He locked the door deftly.

Kaliyah looked up at him as she lay on her back, a sort of eagerness displayed in her big blue eyes. She reached up to pull him down to her, kissing him gently.

Roderick hovered over her, slanting his lips over hers. "It's been far too long Princessa." He turned to kiss down her neck and along her jaw.

Kaliyah nodded her agreement, groaning slightly as he kissed along her jaw. Luckily after bearing Sabra, she had returned to her normal weight and physique. "It certainly has."

Kaliyah lie on her back, breathless. She turned her head to look over at Rodrick, a smile beginning to form on her lips.

Roderick was gazing at her, adoration and love evident in his eyes. "Gods I missed you. I am so sorry that I let them take you." He whispered, reaching out to brush her hair back.

Kaliyah smiled sadly and traced her fingers along the muscles of his abdomen. "It couldn't have been prevented. It wasn't your fault love." She responded quietly.

He pulled Kali closer. "We're together now. We have a beautiful baby girl. That's all that matters. You and me and Sabra. A family. Apolline misses you." He said, smiling as he held her petite body in her arms.

Kaliyah cuddled up close to Rodrick, burying her head in his chest. They had a family, and they were safe. "Well, we shall go visit her soon then. Introduce Sabra."

((Want to skip ahead again. Sabra is 20, a wold child runnong free on the island and Kali is pregnant again? Sabra is a little jealous?))

(And perhaps there's a young man on the island who has his sights on Sabra? We could double up with characters)

(I like it. Yeah, cause kids get married at like, 13, right? Lets do it.)

(I didn't mean 20, I meant 15)

(Haha okay! I've had a lot of writers block lately but now my muse is back, so I apologize if the posts are a bit longer haha)

Misses Mathews sat on the edge of the large poster bed that occupied her and her husband's room. She was three months pregnant, and it was very much evident in the medium sized bump of her stomach.

"Rodrick, did Sabra tell you where she was headed to?" Kaliyah called out to her husband.

--

It was a fairly warm day. The sun was shining and the exotic birds of the island were chirping noisily.

Sabra strolled absentmindedly along the beach, her mind cluttered with thought. The notion of a baby sibling was annoying her, quite honestly, and she needed a bit of a distraction.
