One and Only

Roderick was angry now. "Her name is Rosa and she is my wife! This is not right men! This is assult! If my wife had a miscarriage, I swear yo every god, I will make your life hell!" He pushed through them, trying to get to the door. Eloise came running down the hall. "Mahsta! Is my Lady ok? Does she be needing me?" The maid rung her hands.

The guard allowed Rodrick into the bedroom, but he followed quickly after him. "Princess, we know you are in there. Come out and I don't hurt your husband."

Kaliyah's back faced the door as her heart pounded in her chest. She gently rubbed her slightly swollen stomach and hoped to god the man wAs lying

Roderick paled but stood his ground. "Rosa. My heart. I need you to take deep breaths. Calm down. Don't come out. Keep breathing. Stress isn't good for you or the baby. Stay in there." Roderick spoke, through the bathroom door. He was rigid with fear and worry. He didn't care what would happen to him ad long as his girls were safe.

The guard stepped closer to Rodrick, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Please, this will be much easier if you just let me-"

Kaliyah opened the door, head held high, and walked out. She walked to stand in a corner away from all of the men. "What business do you have in my home? I am trying to take my medicine and you come waltzing in claiming I'm some woman named Kaliyah? What kind of name is that?"

Roderick looked at her, exasperated. "Rosa!" Even though he had changed her appearance, he was worried that the men would recognize her, he moved closer. "I told you to stay inside."

Kaliyah nodded to Rodrick, but glanced down at her stomach. "I needed to lie down dear."

The guard approached the princess, his eyes narrowing. "Are you aware that the Princess Kaliyah of the North is presumed alive?" He asked her.

Roderick followed her gaze, worry increasing. "No look here sir. My wife is very sick and needs to lie down. This interrogation is over." He growled. His hair was disheveled and his eyes angry.

The guard sighed, motioning for his men to follow. He wasn't taking any chances, he was taking the woman into custody.

"Miss, I'm going to need you to come with me. I apologize greatly. He stepped forward, pushing passed Rodrick, and took Kaliyah's wrist.

Roderick looked on in shock. "Ypu can't take her. She's not yours...." he mumbled. "Don't you touch her." He tried to reach her, but the other men stopped him. "Where are you taking my wife. That's my family! Please....they are my world. Rosa, listen to me. I will come for you. I love you and our baby girl. I'll bring you home, I swear it." Hid voice cracked, tears welling up. This was not right. At all.

The guard motioned for his men to restrain Rodrick as he took Kaliyah, pushing her forward. She stumbled a few times, calling back for her husband.

"Calm down miss." He snapped at her, trying to push her through the bedroom doorway.

"Rosa, I promise love. I will bring you home." He strained after her. "Please. Where are you taking my wife?" He begged. As soon as the men would let go, he was going straight to the dock master. He would ensure that theor ship wouldn't be able to leave.

The guard grunted as he finally managed to push the struggling Kaliyah out if the bedroom. "We are taking her home."

Kaliyah was quieted into submission as the men guided her out of her house and away from her husband.

Roderick broke. "This is her home!" He screamed.

"Edmund! Run to the dock master, tell him to lock down the port. Not a single ship leaves." The butler ran, using a shirtcut to get in front of the gaurds. Roderick headed to the village, getting all the men together.

(Are they gonna take her and then many years later, she manages to come back? After she's had the baby?)

(Yeah, that works!)

The guard hurried Kaliyah toward the port. The large ship sat in the water, looming over the others around it. He urged her on board and called for his men to set sail, and quick.

Just as Roderick reached the port, the ship was already out at sea. He collapsed, screaming his anguish to the heavens. His screams carried to the ship.

Many years later, Roderick was spending a quite evening at home. Ever since his Princessa had been taken, Roderick rarely left the parlour. The bedroom held too many memories, as did most of tge house, save the parlour. Eloise and Edmubd had done the best they could to keep him healthy. The only difference in Roderick, was the grey in his brown curls.

Kaliyah walked along the shoreline, the small hand of her four year old daughter in hers. It had been too long, and the poor girl hadn't even met her father. She had named her Sabra, after a small town on the outskirts of the island Barbados.

A man approached her, his head held high. "The ship is prepared."

Apolline bustled in. "Come along dearie. We are going to my son's for dinner." She bodily pulled him up and out the door, Roderick grumbling all the way.

Kaliyah turned to the man, her daughter scurrying between her legs. "Splendid. We shall leave then?"

After being captured nearly five years ago, the princess had stayed in her home land, but hadn't successfully convinced them she was not the princess. Her parents took her in, locking her away. When she had the child, her guards had been doubled. Luckily, she found Trevor.

He was an assassin to worked along side Rodrick many years ago, and was happy to aid her on her journey back to him.

The two boarded his ship and set sail.

Roderick sat morosely in his chair after Apolline had dropped home. As he succumbed to exhaustion, Kaliyah's name tumbled from his lips. Eloise tucked a blanket around him, eyes red from tears.

In a few days time, they had reached Barbados. Kaliyah held Sabra as they neared the port. Trevor would walk with her to Rodrick's, then go back to cover up their tracks.

Once they docked, the three headed straight for the estate. Trevor knocked on the door.

A tored lookong Edmund answered. "Sir, what can I do for you? Lord Mathews is not fit for com-" he froze as he caught sight of Kali. "My lady...?"

Trevor stepped up beside Kaliyah, his hand on her shoulder gently. "Tell Rodrick that Trevor is with her. He'll know who I am."

Kaliyah beamed at Edmund, moving forward to wrap her arms around him. As she did so, Trevor took hold of Sabra so she wouldn't run off.

Edmund cried as he hugged his Mistress. "My lady. Lord has been unconsoalable. He is in the parlour." The butler pointed, taking in Sabra. "Is that our little miss?"

Kaliyah nodded, then took the girl's hand to hurry toward the parlour. Trevor followed suit, explaining everything to Edmund as they followed.

Roderick sat reading. He heard people enter. "Edmund. I'm not in the mood for...Kali?" He asked, looking at the people. He stood up hands shaking. "Is it really....?"
