Yeah, I was too frustrated with manually editing BBCode, so I created a custom XML-based markup language and a tool that converts it to BBCode. It lets me re-uses code through templates and things like that, which saves me a lot of time.

My biggest problem now isn't really a technical one - it's that I'm not a very good designer. -.-

ugh, that's my problem, too. i was actually mostly done with my actual final layout when i posted, but because since i couldn't decide on how i wanted to do all the boxes, i ended up using placeholder accordions. i think i might be too picky. (っ- ‸ – ς)
